The "coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere" sand quote was from Star Wars. Perhaps I should have specified that.

Ah, yeah, you mean that - as said, I had to grin. Episode 2, Cringemoment Far-too-many. No wonder he turned into a Dark Lord of the Sith... ; )

By the by, how does time work for my characters, at least, seeing as we started off in the evening and the thread veered towards night by this point, if I'm remembering correctly? I'm fine with having there be implicit other boring conversations/events occurring or the events of my fellows being in their own, ah, pocket of time.

I was more about to call it "this happens in one corner on the beach and at the same time, in a different corner, that happens", so everything being more or less at the same time.

Yeah, STC/Ezhara is a very good writer, if you ask me.

While we're complimenting, I would certainly like to thank The Selkie for being a good host. Based off of my past roleplays, I can hardly reply to even three things, let alone ten—

Oh, and a random fun fact about this line:
Ezhara wrote:His personality would have no shot at being encouraged in Marco's conservative home of Canzurbina, which had raised another lad, a cohort of Kaz's, who was more dapper, more refined, which appealed to Canzurbinan tastes much more.

I wasn't planning to make more "idol-type" characters for Ezhara, but one of my friends was talking a lot about this one idol game with these ridiculous plots and dialogue to the point that there's a quiz online about if a certain quote was from Russian literature... or from that idol game. Anyway, while we had talked about this game before, this time around, it was about some of the absurd content warnings, and I thought to myself:

Hey. This looks a lot like stuff I'd write.

And then I felt — depending on interpretation — inspired by that idea, or the game choked me and demanded to meme about it by making more idol-types character like that. Granted, I have yet to actually make characters of that caliber, but soon, there'll probably be sixteen total idol Ezharans, one for each city, to add to my already-absurd list.
I don't know why I do this character making thing but I do—

Thank you very much for the compliment, Ezhara. It is always a pleasure to have you around.
So... idols. I am no stranger to the concept, as this RP and the majority of people in it proves, but to be honest, that's about as far as I intent to go - currently. Let's see, where we end up.
(IdolWars - Now on II! ; ))

Grilling does not exclude intrigue and romance - it only depends on what you want to grill how literally. ; )

If there's one thing I've learned from that idol game, grilling won't save you from the boys.

So... shall we ask, which game you mean...? ; )

He will get better. Though, for the next few posts, he'll have little to no alcohol - water is better in this case anyway.

Ensemble Stars. Now, here's a quiz about it. The sheer absurdity of this game is why I decided to make more idol characters other than Kaz, though, hopefully while being a little less. Intense.

Associated with the whole of this story is the following warning: "Major discussions of cult, depictions of harrassment — Heavy mentions of cannibalism, mutilation, violence, bullying, child abuse, depression, and other," though in this case it's just the mutilation and cannibalism. If you're wondering what's with the odd capitalization/lowercase for blue-hair here, he speaks with hiragana script.

Reminds me a bit of Hetalia. ; )
But, fun aside, I think, Nia and Marrion need a bit of alone-time (not in the fade-to-black-sense, though).

Granted, that's just the most ridiculous thing in that game that I've found, though that quiz does mention: "Anime idol boys don't have to deal with murder, and questioning their own morality! That isn't a thing! It's just all about singing cool songs for a crowd, and it's definitely not about things like sabotage and kidnapping and doing things that drive people to attempt to kill themselves, which...actually all happen in the Ensemble Stars canon. Hm." Kaz does not fill out any of those three things yet, thankfully. I suppose he is getting close to sabotage, though let's hope he doesn't succeed here—

Anyway, this is getting a tad off of the thread, much as I'm trying to relate it back to Kaz and whatnot—

Don't worry about thematic appropriateness - we are still in the safe area.
As for idols, there's a reason, there's a reason why I usually define my people either as actors, musicians, artists or something of that kind and not as idols... though it might be fun... hm...

Don’t forget there’s an anime out there where the idols are literal statues of famous Greek gods and influential people from the renaissance!

Hetalia was a good anime, infact I use to play in the Hetalia rps back in the old days of nationstates~ Man if it came back though my rp would be so much better than back then xD. I used to be be bad about constant one liners and "cheating" with the enter key, but now I got actual size and a nice lil layout to my stuff~

You know, it just dawned upon me, that your nation is a year older then mine as far as NS is concerned... and I am feeling old at times... ; )
But a Hetalia-RP would be interesting - of course, we'd play as the personifications of our respective nations, not as Germany, any of the Italies and so on. Hm... (right about now, please imagine the sound of the hamster wheel in my head turning.)
