Otherwise she was watching the arrival of the other VIPs, taking note of their country of origin, dress and mannerisms.
Giving the lady a brief bow, and several minor nods of acknowledgement to her other companions, Lord Ed spoke: "Good evening, m'lady. Forgive me, as I did not mean to interrupt your conversation, but I just wanted to compliment you on the beauty of that sword you have. The craftsmanship is impeccable." Staring at it for a moment more, the Earl suddenly remembered the importance of introductions. "Though I was just announced, I am the Earl of Hollington, but please call me Lord Ed. I hail from the Gristolian Imperium."
Artoria looked away from her guardsman and turned her attention to the Earl when she saw him approaching her. After he introduced himself, the Imperātrix stood to her full 1.77 metres height, speaking as she bowed politely though briefly to Lord Ed. "Tis a pleasure to make thy acquaintance, Lord Ed. Her Most Augustness, Artoria the Just, Empress and Autocrat of All the Romans and Celts, Imperātrix of Albion stands before thee," she introduced herself to him in English, speaking in an almost Welsh accent with Latin influences. "Thou hast paid thine eyes upon Caledfwlch. Tis a sword of ceremony, handed down for generations by my predecessors. It is a symbol of royalty and legitimacy for the crown." Artoria explained to Lord Ed, moving Caledfwlch in its sheath slightly to make it more visible. "It is very old from what I know, and was first in the possession of the first King of Albion Arcturus."
