Warsaw
Crassus awoke to the sound of a ringing telephone.
He grabbed it.
"Hello?"
"CotCorp lost an admiral."
"Okay, and this needed my attention immediately how?"
"..."
"That's right. Shut the fuck up, I'm going back to sleep."

Crassus slammed down the phone and went back to sleep. The battlegroup continued it's drills, unaware of what had happened.

Red Letter Day

7th of January, 2020

Sir Anthony, of the 5th Bastion Diplomatic Corps, ambassador of the Depian Ocean Pact from the Stratocratic Republic of Greater Bastion, announced his proposal for a Unified Cultural Identity Division, the goal of which is to bridge the gap between the cultures of the Depian Ocean.

To a Bastion News Network, he announces: "Today, we have passed the last of our two-part Science and Culture agenda. This promotion of this unified area is the most important event in FCN history, as never before has such a large area actually start to become more united than divided. The FCN, a very respectable organization in its own right, does little, if anything, to stop the divide of our peoples. The Depian Ocean Pact has reversed the global trend of polarization and aggression of our unnatural enemies, and has seen that diplomacy and friendship is a valid path for our species to take. I thank the members of the DOP who voted to approve the Unified Cuktural Identity Bill." He smiles before the broadcast is shut off. He has a slight, but noticable, New Inglaterran accent, no doubt from spending much time in Bastion's close ally.

A few months prior, the Unified Research and Development Organization was established, as the Unified Research and Development Bill was ratified by the DOP. This organization brought together the smartest minds of each Depian Ocean nations and allowed them to acquire increased funding from each of the participating member states. The passing of the URDOB and UCIB results in a successful Directorship of Sir Anthony in his ambassadorship to the DOP.

Premier Eckard broadcasts a new speech to the public. He stands in a very patriotic-looking podium, with several Bastonian flags waving in the background. A scientist, a special operations soldier, and a civil servant all stand a few meters behind Eckard, a step higher, each saluting towards the camera. This gives an idea of a united populace, under the Premier, who serves Bastion as their leader in his will. He begins his speech.

"My fellow Bastonians. I come here, not as a dictator, supreme leader, or divine will. I come here as a man, just a man, who serves his entire life's goals to preserving Bastonian strength, identity, culture, and values. Among these is, of course, the Republic that we have enshrined. And upon this, the topic of the terrorist rebellion we have been fighting.... the de facto leader of it, a woman by the name of Edith, has been quickly and quietly eliminated by our special forces." He pauses his speech, as thunderous applause follows the announcement.

"Now..." he pauses for a second before beginning. But before he starts again, a gun rattles, a shot rings out into the air, on live television. Eckard's left arm starts bleeding heavily, and as he pulls out his holstered handgun, his left arm dangled by his side. Rushing over to the edge of the stage, he aims at the man who shot him, and a faint "For the Aut-" is heard before Eckard kills the terrorist.

The camera crews rush to turn off the cameras, but Eckard stops them. He walks up to the podium once more, clutching his arm, and makes another statement.

"This nation of ours will no longer fear for our survival. I'm taking a last, and final stand, against this menace. This is no longer a simple terrorist rebellion. This is pure and unadulterated evil. And I will not stand for this. Hail Bastonia, land of the brave. I will not fail you."

The broadcast ends.

Naval Base Forguard, Westmoreland Commonwealth, Gagium

After over a day of preparations, the First Carrier Defense Group, along with three replenishment tankers and two vehicle cargo ships, left Naval Base Forguard amidst a crowd of spectators and bored military personnel who wanted to witness the departure of their comrades. With international news reports claiming of an escalation in the area between the friendly-to-Gagium Polish Prussian Commonwealth and the COT Corporation (Which was basically a nation at this point), many on the First Carrier Defense Group feared a deployment to one side of the Stratean continent or the other to take a stance in the dispute. However, the First Carrier Defense Group instead departed bearing southeast, slightly towards the Furbish Islands..the ships, however, were heading past the Furbish Islands - They were deploying to offshore New Inglaterra, well outside of their economic exclusive zone. It would take over a day for the fleet to arrive there, though it was announced to the crews of the Defense Group's ships that the Horton class carrier attached to the First carrier Defense Group, the GNS Imperial, would perform exercises.

Mullen AFB, Greater Bastion

Meanwhile, Gagium's Mullen AFB in Greater Bastion was put on alert by military officials who oversaw operations at the base, with the stated reason being the recent assassination attempt on Bastion's Premier Eckard and the ongoing insurgency in the nation. Orders were drafted and given for the ten strategic bombers based at Mullen AFB to be temporarily transferred to a friendly Furbish Airfield on the night of the 7th of January, while the rest of the personnel who were stationed at Mullen slept (Or were supposed to be, anyways). Some of the Gagiumish personnel who woke up on the morning of the 8th would see the strategic bombers that had been stationed at Mullen for years to be gone, though this wasn't as of much importance to them as the recent alert.

The North East Coast of Foridea Fourth of January, 2020

The Captain of the BDS Conglomerate walks to the edge handrail of his ship. After a meeting deep in the chambers of the Board Building, and a scuffle in Gadiume, the military forces on the coast have somewhat stopped their movement. The 17 SF-4 Battleships were ordered to retreat to the coast, where they would be scrapped and melted down. The parts shall be used to build more SS Class Submersibles, which, in due course, would be transferred to the Warsaw Act Division. He had to be on his guard, as there was a significant deficit in power now that they were gone.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Scrapping Yards, Midfora Fifth of January, 2020

A Supervisor, Velmier Shnikltecht, poured a bottle of water over his head. The sweltering heat of the Steel foundries was hard to deal with, and dealing with it was thirsty work. Every couple of hours someone would... well... die, and he'd have to sign all sorts of paper and documents. The most recent shipments had been, ironically, ships, from the Warsaw Division. They had been decommissioned to make way for submarines, and the making of those would be up to the neighbouring factories. He had been inclined to quit with this whole new era in the nation, but a pay rise had made him stop. Not a large pay rise, but a pay rise all the same.

Down below, working within the enormous furnaces, the serfs suffered under the immense heat. Occasionally, one would accidentally wonder too close to the industrial casts, and burn their skin off. The companies that ran these foundries saw serfs as a waste of clothes, so they had to go around their jobs stark naked. This of course was slightly irrational considering the heat, but at least they wouldn't actually catch fire. They continued their work, being barked orders by the ruthless supervisors above.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

East Foridea Sixth of January, 2020

While the 10 new submarines were being transported to their grand opening ceremony, a Pro-PPC terrorist organisation ambushed the escort of 2 SF-4 transporters. Luckily, they were extinguished fairly quickly, but not before infiltrating one of the escort ships and ramming it into the last of the submarines, causing a mass explosion and killing the entire crew. However, this was no fault of the military... the organisation was the biggest terrorist group in the Corporation, and attacked the ship with all 250 members. Of course, due to the superior military training of the soldiers, the terrorists were stopped and no harm was caused to the infiltrated ship.

Including the recent headlines stating that the PPC was responsible for the death of the fleet admiral, as well as this new attack, hatred of the commonwealth has rose to an all time high. Rumours are spreading like wildfire that the Board is planning to declare war on the Poles if they or their allies decide to make a move.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Board Room, Saledale, Esontria Eighth of January, 2020

Tension is growing within the Board of Directors. Although all the board approved the motion to remove SF-4s from the navy, they certainly didn't approve of the idea being made without them. Although the nation was a dictatorship, the board still reserved the right to make democratic elections.

The Board walked into the room. Already, the air seemed to have left the room through the keyhole in the double-glazed glass door. As they sat down, the Vice-CEO of the Corporation made a bold announcement.

"I move to impeach the Supreme Leader" pronounced the Vice-CEO. Several nods echoed round the room. In any normal situation, the Supreme Leader would have pulled out a T-15 and shot whoever said it. However, now was in the board room, and these people around him held nearly as much political power as he did. For instance, to his right, was Jashuo Skhmoll, his secretary of defence, who had organised the murder of the fleet admiral. "Seconded." Agreed the Secretary of making-sure-the-nation-stays-capitalist.

"Fine then! Let's hold a vote." Exclaimed the CEO. "The Vice-CEO of this Corporation motioned to impeach me. Why does he think this, and who shall replace me if the vote passes?" Said the CEO.

"Of course I had my reasons, or should I say, OUR reasons. It states, clearly, in section (B) of article 3 of the constitution, that "All internal matters shall be proposed, discussed, and passed within the Board of Directors, as long as two thirds of the Board are present at the time." I think we can all agree, excepting whoever privately proposed this to the CEO, that this breaches one of the most important laws of the nation." "Oh, and of course, I would be your successor to the position of CEO."

"A reasonable point. Commence the vote."

The vote commenced. Ayes, 11. Nayes, 2. The Vice-CEO, William Pounder, takes position of CEO.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Nation is on the edge of war with PPC, and the CEO has been replaced.

The First Ground Corps are mobilised.
As the Nation prepares for war, the Military Alliance With Costa Rica2 comes into effect. The First ground Corps are granted access through Costa Rica2 and move through it accordingly, to the border with The Polish Prussian Commonwealth. There they stay, ready to attack. As soon as the Commonwealth makes one false move, they will attack mercilessly. Their target? The southern military district. The First Ground Corps infantry division contains 2 subdivisions, A and B. Of course, they are armed well, the A division having T-15 Automatic Rifles, and the B Division having T-10 normal rifles. Every soldier is armed with a grenade, just in case.

The Secondary air division is also ready for attack. However, they are currently stationed at Gadiume air station.

Queensland Legislative Assembly Votes To Replace State Flag
Premier Chloe Bashara (N) voices strong support for the change despite widespread First Nations outcry

CHARLOTTE — This afternoon, excited Queensland lawmakers including National party Premier Chloe Bashara gathered on the steps of the Legislative Assembly building in Charlotte to witness a new state flag be raised. Consisting firstly of a dark blue background which represents the ocean surrounding the state and secondly the famed Queen Charlotte Islands black bear which is unique to the state and has remained a popular symbol of Queensland in the foreground; the flag was popular with government and opposition MLAs alike.

Despite it's popularity within the Legislative Assembly and outside of it, that doesn't mean this move hasn't come under fire from certain groups such as the Haida First Nations tribe.

Haida activist and Ecological Party MLA Nina Ailen who was one of the few members of the assembly to vote against the change, said to the Ketchikan Journal that replacing the former Queensland flag which was a simplified version of a traditional Haida banner with this new flag is part of a Coalition agenda of continuing the oppression of First Nations as well as erasing tribal history and culture.

Haida elder Notah Dark Bear who spent today protesting in front of the Queensland Legislative Assembly said that the Coalition government on the State and Federal levels have forgotten about the First Nations and while in power have taken only strides backwards on tribal issues.

National Senator for Queensland and Minister of Indigenous Peoples, Francis Odeserundiye-Aputsiaq who is member of the Haida tribe refused to comment.

Prussian-Polish border with CR2, Southern Military District
COTCorps' mobilization was noticed well before the first tank left the Corporation.
It is simply impossible to hide the fact that massive amounts of men and personnel are leaving COT and heading north.
The revitalization of border defenses had begun long before, but now it sped up, with additional combat engineer battalions from the various divisions stationed on the border being reinforced by those from divisions further in-country, and even one from the Seebattalions.

Seemingly overnight, obstacles were set up. They were positioned like so: The first layer were minefields and mines. After those were extremely steep ditches that would cause a tank to be stuck. After those were barbed wire and tank-traps. Most of these were "Dragon's teeth"(small pyramids of reinforced concrete that would cause a tank to become stuck) and Masovian Hedgehogs(metal objects made out of several steel bars welded together in such a way that it was nigh-impossible to move them, and even when tipped over they still retained their ability to block an offence. In addition, they, unlike Dragon's teeth, provided little to no cover to infantry). This would be done two or three times.

There were, however, notably few 'hard' defenses-trenches, bunkers, and the like. These were reserved for a few areas that were entirely clear of obstacles, and were veritable fortresses, bristling with machine-guns and anti-tank weapons, and almost impossible to crack.

There was just a few things, however, that COT had no way of knowing.

First-they had ways to self-destruct-satchel charges were provided to each company.
Second-local commanders(at the company level) had the authorization to abandon their positions should things get hairy.

Third-each bunker was equipped with enough APCs to allow the company to evacuate, with room to spare for wounded and those who had lost their APCs.

Meanwhile, the two Northern field armies began making their way down south. It would, however, take awhile for them to arrive.
In addition, the air force was put on high alert, and began running patrols.

A young girl, maybe 7 or 8 wandered across an empty meadow. In one hand she held on to a backpack-strap(attached, of course, to her bag), and in the other she had a walking-stick.
Abruptly, she found herself across the border, and staring at a patrol of troops from COTcorp.
She smiled and waved at them. " 'scue me, mistah! Could ya tell me how tah get back tah Ochjno?"

Quite coincidentally, the newly Vice-CEO, Sodor Thomas, was strolling along the bay while he was on holiday, and overheard this conversation. He had also heard from the Costa Rica2* ambassador that recently, an alliance had been formed with Gagium. So what's this now? An alliance with Gladesville? He didn't want CotCorp to miss out on this slice of cake!

The next day, he took his private jet back to Saledale. He showed his business card to the multiple security guards at the Board Room door, and walked inside. The rest of the Board were waiting there, as he had alerted them that there was going to be a meeting.

"Ladies and Gentlemen..." he started. "It has come to my attention, and to some of yours, I trust, that King Arsene Rodier of Gagium has been recently been creating alliances, including with our glorious neighbour Costa Rica2". "I'm sure the ambassador has alerted you. Now, on my holiday.." This was met with several grumbles. "On my holiday, I coincidentally overheard King Arsene and Vindalbal having a casual stroll on Vincaract bay. What I overheard was the creation of an alliance, for both military and economics. Another thing I heard, was that Gladsville mentioned "put Prussia-Poland back in it's place". As we all know, PPC has been a nuisance and threatened us from the moment we stepped forward into international politics. So if we propose an alliance with not just Gagium, but Gladesville too, then who knows what could happen! Only good things for sure. It only comes as a bonus that Costa Rica2 is involved with this as well."

"Hereby, I propose we send letters to both King Arsene and Vindalbal, cordially asking them to attend a meeting at the beautiful "Café Concordia", a favourite haunt of mine when I was in university. What does everyone think about this?"

"Seconded. But I think we should invite Ben Shapiro, the leader of Costa Rica2 as well. You see, we could form a sort of Commonwealth, a protectorate, a confederacy. Call it what you want." Said the recently appointed CEO, William Pounder.

"A good idea. Let the voting commence!"

The vote fast passes, with 13 Ayes.

*Costa Rica2 privately told me that there was an alliance, but he doesn't know how to post on this thread.

Beginning of the End?

Set Sail for War

The Ninth of January, at 1100 Hours

The 1st GBNF (Greater Bastion Naval Force) heads out to the coast of COT.

The force consists of 2 carriers, 30 destroyers, 20 frigates, and 20 minelaying craft. Accompanied with the carriers are 160 multirole aircraft, capable of air and ground aerial combat with elite efficiency due to Bastonian reliance on winning the air war and their massive military budget.

Alongside the navy is an undetermined amount of submarines, the purpose of which is to sink enemy trade if a state of war is declared, which would be aided by the minelaying craft which started laying down mines in the ocean near COT.

If contacted, the Bastonian fleet command will redirect communications to Prussia-Poland for comment. It seems the Bastonian fleet has chosen to take up preparations for a blockade, in the case that their friends in Prussia-Poland wish for war.

Now, of course, the blockade was planned many days prior. The Bastonian navy, not needed now that the blockade against the HRI was resolved, went almost straight back out for their new task, so arrived today and now await P-P to initiate protocols.

God speed, COT. Too bad the Bastonians don't believe in god.

Well, the Bastonian fleet command wasn't entirely radio silent with COT. The fleet commander called for talks with the leader of COT on the GBS Willzhelm, the flagship of the Bastion navy and the command ship of the 1st GBNF.

If the talks don't commence? Drastic measures.

The PPC Border

A strange girl walked towards one of the solitary tanks on the border. She repeatedly asked "Do yue know the way back to ochjno", to which the soldiers, trained to be entirely discreet, did not respond. However, the Secretary of Defense was making a visit to the border, to check up on the attack force.

He saw the girl out of the corner of his eye, and asked one of the commanders who on earth she was. "I don't know, Sir. She could be a spy." "Well, send her back over the border! Make sure to escort them with a tank, though. If she tries anything funny, take her hostage."

The Commander nodded. The escort was prepared within the hour, and they set off through the mist. As they were only a mile or two from the border, they arrived in good time. When they arrived at the border, the Commander pointed northwards, and said "Ochwatsit is that way. Just walk along now."

Now that she was gone, the tank rolled back. However, as they retreated, a stream of bullets swivelled through the air, harmlessly twanging off the thick armour. Then, the body of the child was flung through the cloud. A grim spectacle, to be sure. The tank fired a shot in the direction of the bullets, and they stopped. The Commander had no idea what to do. He was about to drive back, until one of his privates stopped him. The private, named Rhys Nodanor, suggested saving the girl's body. "But, what if the bullets start again! You'd be dead!" uttered the Commander.

"Please sir! We have to! In the name of the Corporation! We could save her body, as a sign of peace. We have nothing against the civilians of the Poles! If we saved her body, we could possibly lower the general hatred of the nation!"

"Fine then. But how do you propose we do this?"

"You'll see..." said the private, grimly.

He opened the hatch, and jumped out. He sprinted through the mist, and grabbed the girl's body, and held her in a fireman's lift. As he was running back to the tank, another stream of bullets came whizzing from somewhere in the mist. They struck through Rhys' leg, and he collapsed, leaking blood. Acting on instinct, the Commander jumped out of the hatch and lugged the two bodies back to the tank before any more bullets could appear.

They all got home safely, to much applaud and honour. The Secretary of Defence nominated Rhys to be his successor, and hence offered him a position on the Board of Directors.

"But why would you make me replace you!?" asked Rhys.

"Well... I've never really done anything, well... heroic. Sure, I proposed a few military bills. So what! You did something far more noble than I ever could. Plus, I'll still be on the Board."

Saledale Mausoleum

It was a sad day. It was the funeral day of the strange girl that some soldiers had met on the border with PPC, and she had been given a place in the Grand Mausoleum. The Soldier responsible for recovering her body, newly a member of the Board of directors, presented the first rose of the ceremony. This day would go down in COTCorpion history, and so would the girl.

However, the attackers from the mist were not known, and not thought to be Polish soldiers. The mystery still remains.

The Border
There was just one little issue.
Around the same time that the girl was shot, a young girl had gone missing from the little border town of Ochjno. The girl in question-Maria Nowak-had matched that of the one being buried perfectly-blonde hair, brown eyes, 4', and avid hiker.
The police were scratching their heads and passed a request for help to the nearest military unit-the 1st Motorized Brigade Combat Team, assigned to the 4th Division of the VII Corps.

Image
15 minutes after the Ochjno Incident
As the soldiers loaded the girl's body, they would notice a single Stryker Armored Personnel Carrier driving along the Prussian-Polish side of the border. Beside it, several troops walked along, rifles slung across their backs.

One noticed the COT patrol and began approaching them, hands up in order to show that he was friendly.
"Have you seen-"
He then noticed the dead girl, and his eyes widened.

He flipped his rifle around, and flicked off the safety.
"THE HELL DID YOU DO TO HER?!" he roared.

That attracted the attention of his squadmates, who immediately assumed that they were under attack and went prone, bringing their rifles to bear, while the Stryker's 30mm autocannon swiveled around.

This was it. One wrong move, one twitch of a trigger finger, and war would begin.

Greater Bastion wrote:Set Sail for War

The radio receiver picks up.
"Hello. The person you are trying to contact can't call right now. Please leave a message."

Of course, this was intentional. The Supreme Leader didn't plan on talking to the Fleet Commander anyway. He had alliances to from.

The Fleet Commander speaks one final time.

"Listen, you bunches of foreign savages. You're itching for war and I'll gladly give it to you, but the Premier wants peace, believe it or not. Give me an audience with your degrading, disgusting child of a leader or else war will come. And it will come swift and unrelenting, and your nation will be annihilated with no second thought. I have the power within my fingertips to declare war, as bestowed upon me by my glorious Premier, and I am really, really angry right now. I will give you one more chance or else war is coming, and this isn't the entire Bastonian navy. We have another 2 carriers waiting at home and hundreds of thousands of the best soldiers on this goddamn planet, equipped with practically post-modern equipment and combat armor. Rethink your actions, or I will for you."

He cuts the transmission and waits.

On a lighter note, apparently the Prussian-Poles had noticed their arrival.

A submarine assigned to the Jagdwiga's battlegroup surfaced a good distance away from the Bastionian group, and began transmitting a message.

"FUCK." Says the new fleet commander. "FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK."

"Well... what are you going to FUCKING DO ABOUT IT?" He yells at William Pounder.

"Let them talk. If Eckard wants peace, he can have it. I'm in no mood for war. This whole fucking world is against me. Well, not really. But if this "peace" of his is some sort of trap, I'm actually going to commit suicide. Surely with the poles so angry, he wouldn't want peace... You know what? Fuckit. Accept the transmission."

"Ok sir." He opens the transmission. "Hello Fleet Commander of the Greater Bastion. This is Fleet Command of the Noble COT Corporation. We can hear you, loud and clear."

"Calm it!" Said the Commander, recognising that the soldier had no harmful intent. "We escorted the child to the border, where she walked into the mist. Then as we began to retreat, a stream of bullets appeared through the air and shot our tank." He gestured towards the obviously fresh bullet marks.

"After the bullets stopped, the body of that child was thrown out of the mist. She seems to have been killed with... well... a knife." Across her neck, there was a red gash, but all of the blood had leaked out earlier. Luckily, it showed that this had happened a while back, so the CotCorp soldiers were innocent. "

We were planning to bring her back, for a proper burial. As we could see that you had trapped your borders, so we didn't want to risk bringing her across, to identify her."

"Now, is it okay if we bring her home, for a hero's burial?"

A Fishing Incident

Time: 14:56
Date: 1/9/20
Location: The Vincaract Strait
People: Fishing Boat, Pirates

"Help us! Help us! There're barbarians bombarding us!"

This afternoon, a fishing boat was out doing it's, now trending job. Because fishing rapidly became more common-place in Gladesville this last week, during the Gagium-Gladesville summit, there were more general traffic in the Vincaract Strait. As one of these fishing boats was catching salmon, a pirate boat was spotted off the port-side of the fishing vessel. The fishing boat was unprepared, and had to flee to the closet harbor, but got sunk by a stray shot from the pirates, killing both fishermen on-board. When VinBay Fishers, the small company that owned the boat checked at closing time, when that boat never returned because it sank, they went to the House of Duchies, and demanded to see the National Coast Guard.

"We tried to, but to be honest, we're underfunded. I'm sorry about the loss of one of your few fishing boats, but we can't afford all these fancy radar technologies on our vessels."

That's what Jabaxali Intetera, head of the coast guard, replied to VinBay Fishers. Intetera was correct in his message, because since the Gladesvillagen Coast Guard is registered as unimportant in Gladesville, because of the nation's capable navy and impressive land-police force, they don't recieve quite as much funding as the Navy. A note was left on Vindalbal's personal bedroom door, reading, "We need to talk. -Duke Intetera", after that meeting with VinBay Fishers finished.
One of the few nation's with a frightening economy, without a single car. One of the most developed nations, but our government is corrupt as fridge. Tourist hot-spot, but the ruler Vindalbal II refuses to even put basic footwear on. Environmentalist, Nationalist, Vincaracist, Gladesville.
Reaches about 0.16695572432 on the Greenness Index.

The Tenific Ocean, 260 nautical miles northwest of Inglaterra

"Imperial to Guardian, all vessels have reached Grid A21 C54 Echo..Velvet One-One and Two are on stand-by. Over."

"Copy...Wait one.." The radio cackled some before a different voice came out of the radio output. "This is Guardian six actual, we have today's forecast. It's raining cats and dogs, Admiral, it's raining cats and dogs."

"We'll get on the umbrellas, Guardian. Have a nice one. Over and out."

With the signal given to begin Operation Waterbreather, eight jets took off admist the crashing waves of the eastern Tenific Ocean and began heading towards New Inglaterra's airspace - Once in New Inglaterra's airspace, the fighters would fly along the New Inglaterran coastline for some miles while remaining approximately three miles within Inglaterran airspace before heading back to the GNS Imperial. Once the jets disappeared amidst the clouds, the crew on the deck of the GNS Imperial went back to regular business, preparing the runway for their landing and for the next sortie to take off.The other ships of the First Carrier Defense Group were stationed around the GNS Imperial unmoving as the dark blue water of the Tenific crashed against their slightly-worn metal hulls. The drifting clouds slowly faded to black as the sun set on the Defense Group, the ocean now only being visible through the small amounts of light that the moon reflected onto the planet.

Vincaract Bay, Gladesville

(ooc: no, I haven't heard of your nuclear program because all nuclear programs and nukes and the like have to be approved by me, and you never telegrammed me about any nukes)

"I have not come as a businessman for the industry, unfortunately..One of our representatives from EPDM is here to negotiate any arms sales if necessary, however. Alliance..Mmm, yes, of course - This will benefit both of our lands for little cost...New Inglaterra will certainly get the message then...And the Polish-Prussian people will not attack you, that I can guarantee. Yes, the alliance is coming together..May we retreat to the meeting room with our representatives to draft the official treaty?"

The King looked behind him briefly, scouting the faces of those walking behind the group of leaders, and continued. When the Gladesville King mentioned the shop, he did give another glance to it, but Rodier was largely inattentive to the city around him - He wasn't there to see the new nation's capital, after all.

Arsentrois Airbase, Arseniana Commonwealth

Arsentrois Airbase, located just two miles out of Chatrois in Arseniana, is a Gagiumish Air Force installation that houses the Eighth Fighter Wing, a component of the First Air Force (A part of the rapid-deployment Armed Wing Command). Arsentrois Airbase also housed the 435th Support Wing. The Eight Fighter Wing had fourty-four jet fighters attached to it stationed at the Airbase, while the 435th supported operations at the Airbase...Arsentrois Airbase was also the closest Air Force installation to Costa Rica2 and by extension COTCORP.

With Gagiumish senior Air Force officials monitoring the situation closely, the 9th Bomber Squadron, previously based in Greater Bastion and currently preparing to fly from Furby Island, was assigned to be stationed at Arsentrois as tensions in Stratea increased.

Meanwhile, on the social media platform Tjilpen, President Vincent Barbet posted the following: “It is important for both sides of the Stratean conflict to prevent an all-out war that would see thousands of lives lost and thousands more civilians displaced from their homes. However, COTCORP must tread careful so close to our allies’ borders...”

Vincaract Strait
A lone freighter steamed through the strait, laden with what were, apparently, goods. The flag of the Commonwealth flew from the mast, and it seemed, for all intents and purposes, like your typical freighter steaming into Neo-Masovia after unloading it's goods somewhere else-perhaps cheap tin trays in Bastion, or computers in New Inglaterra.

Easy prey for any pirates...hopefully.

Anthem
We may not count her armies, we may not see her King;
Her fortress is a faithful heart, her pride is suffering;
And soul by soul and silently her shining bounds increase
And her ways are ways of gentleness, and all her paths are peace.

"Out of doubt, out of dark, to the day's rising
he rode singing in the sun, sword unsheathing.
Hope he rekindled, and in hope ended;
over death, over dread, over doom lifted
out of loss, out of life, unto long glory."

My canon is currently in a state of constant flux. Please do not take anything that I say as set in stone.
