This is Malta Comino Gozo's official host bid to host the Worldvision Song Contest for the very first time! After only competing twice MCG 1 the public broadcaster, thought that the amazingly popularity of Worldvision within Malta Comino Gozo can only be strengthened by bringing the contest to the countries luscious shores. If you want a sun kissed country, this is it...

The theme that we have chosen is "Simplicity and Elegance" This means that simple design and stylishness are equivalent. Why go over the top, The countries flag consists of two colours, White and Red, so we combined these two colours into our logo, which looks... well simple and elegant.Our national emblem and map are showcased within the design too. We wanted this to feel as patriotic as possible. We are a proud nation.

Valletta the host city, is the capital of the Kingdom of Malta Comino Gozo. it was built in 1556.Boasting a population of ~1 million, it is also the 3rd most populous city on the island of Malta. It is the seat of government for the entire country, contrary to popular belief, the King does not live in Valletta, he and his family reside in Hafna Palace in the town of Runbett. Valletta is the soul of Malta Comino Gozo with hidden gems on every street. Boasting Palaces to beautiful government buildings, to sun washed gardens to its famous city walls, this buzzing capital city has it all.
The city has excellent transport links to the rest of the country, with several Metro lines operating from here and, with the new high speed rail opening just last year visitors can tour the rest of the country and be back in time for tea. The other main islands of Comino and Gozo are also connected to the main islands metro system though ferry services are available.

Valletta Marina Arena , known locally as the Valletta Arena, was built in 2006 and is the main indoor arena in Valletta, Malta Comino Gozo. It was opened by King William.

Along the main arena, the complex includes four venues which are the arena itself (hosting 19,000 spectators), a cycling track (hosting 2,000 spectators), a skating stadium (3,000 spectators) and a multilevel parking structure and docking area for boats. In 2008 a luxury Yatch captained by the King's son crashed into the side of the Arena leaving a huge yatch shaped dent, rather than spending 400k Florins on fixing the dent the government left the yatch shaped dent and it has now become a major tourist attraction.

The stage has been designed by famous web designe Iano Pardiosa. The concept for the set is origami, inspired by the triangles of the famous Malta Comino Gozoan cross. “It’s a very flexible and easy to use shape, Our origami set is, therefore, the blank canvas on which the delegations can tell their story”.

Overall, there will 508 square metres of LED used in the stage. The stage design features:

A 9m high high-resolution LED wall
A 28m wide stage floor, with smaller LED elements
A lighting wall behind the main LED screen if required
Two catwalks
Two stage doors for “on and off” access
High resolution LED mirror frames.
The stage includes all the standard extras that performances use such as mist, pyro's, wind fans and smoke machines

The postcards will portray a landscape or aspect of Malta Comino Gozoan life alongside the competing nations flags which are infused within the cards

The scoreboard is slick and simple and follows the same colour scheme as the logo.

World Hit Festival 45 Britonish and Estogian representatives, Autumn and Elias Nordin will be battling it out for best ABEN nation and winner of the 78th WorldVision Song Contest. Autumn did top Elias Nordin in Izmedu for the 45th World Hit Festival but managed to come 4th place overall. They've come to the WorldVision Song Contest hoping to find glory. Meanwhile, Elias Nordin is looking to not only looking forward to beating Autumn but also seeks Estogium's first WorldVision victory the nation has waited for 45 editions...

Over the next three weeks, Britonisea and Estogium will release more information about their acts. The competing acts will be sending new songs to the upcoming WorldVision Song Contest and for the artist the wins out of the small ABEN battle that will be happening during the 78th WorldVision Song Contest, they will receive a total of £8,000 BPS in their pocket!

Will Britonisea top Estogium or will Estogium top Britonisea? More importantly, will either nation become the victors of the 78th WorldVision Song Contest? I guess we will soon find out...

After Voxija's rather successful fourth WorldVision, in which Voxija got 15th, Voxijans' interest in WorldVision grew exponentially. The fourth WorldVision got more viewers than any other WorldVisions that Voxija had ever participated in. In fact, Voxijans protested in front of government offices to be able to choose the Voxijan performer for this WorldVision.

Although they were protesting in the wrong spot, Txala Media Distribution implemented the system for Voxijans to vote for their performer. On the day, the website for Voxijan WorldVision crashed, something that had never happened in Voxija ever.

It was a landslide. Over 90% of Voxijans voted for one person. I won't reveal who! That is for the commentators to do.

The Talk

The Spiritual Republic of Caryton, after its mere second performance, feels the desire to bring the united nature of a song competition to their homeland. The Trinity Broadcasting Network of Caryton is volunteering to broadcast the event. However, this sudden host bid did not come without its controversy. Certain ministers of the Gospel Church of Caryton-- influenced by some performances of Worldvision 77 and prior, more infamous editions like WorldVision 69-- demanded a complete ban on any nation intending to perform anything remotely related to sexual relations, homosexuality, promiscuity, urban/"ghetto" culture, or "disheartening" music. However, even despite such a report from the older generation of clergy members, certain figures like Latanya Anderson and her fan base have communicated with other clergymen and the youth of the Carytonic populace. While they agreed that these performances were immoral-- they won the argument on the grounds of rights of other nations to perform what they'd like. However, the wounds of this clergy are fresh and a split had almost formed in the Gospel Church of Caryton's complete administration of the nation. The hosts, trying to forget these old and bitter exchanges, welcome a new era of cooperation and love under Christ's banner. However, many Carytonic are suspicious of some nations-- like Scotatrova-- who had nearly started a massive LGBT+ publicity stunt in Caryton.

However, all visitors and performers are expected to follow the laws of Caryton-- including a ban on alcohol, cigarette, vape, drug, pornography products. Foreigners are also encouraged to dress conservatively and act with the utmost manners.

We've chosen our prophet and direct messenger of Christ-- Cary the Golden Retriever-- as a symbol because she represents all three of these things. We want this WorldVision to be proper-- to be exciting without the choking musk of bitterness. Morality is this concert's intention. We want to create a music festival, not a place of demonstration. We want to make sure this performance runs smoothly and without incident like mass shootings or botched voting. Simplicity. Massive stages and suspended shapes confuse and startle us in Caryton. We want to clarify that a performance in a calm, collected environment can be just as successful-- if not more successful, then a hyper-constructed place where anything could go wrong. We want less theatrics, and more you. Brilliance. We recognize the talent of all of the prospective performers, and our watchful eyes will make sure their rights to perform are not infringed upon. The rules listed above will be strongly enforced, and lightly armed paramilitary units will be on site both enforcing rules and making sure acts of violence on stage do not happen.

Georgine. Home to 5,120,000 loyal followers of God and Country. A quaint, quiet, modest capital city that is the center of the intersection of hundreds of brooks, creeks, rivers, and streams-- all of them kept intact. The spiritual home of the Gospel Church of Caryton and its Central Cathedral. One of the lowest priced vacation destinations in the world, Georgine boasts a history of conflict resolved under the banner of Heaven. The lights at night are beautiful-- and many travel critics have demanded vacationers to "see Georgine during Christmastime at least once in your life". Home of other beauties like the Georgine Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Georgine Opera House, the approximate 20 parks in the urban and suburban areas, and the backroads leading to marvelous pathways of pastel. The conservatively-dressed and deeply spiritual people are as neighborly as can be, and even during manual labor, it's impossible to see the average Joe without a smile. Formerly the capital of a despotic dictatorship, the gray prismatic buildings have been replaced with this small and rapidly expanding marvel in only one years' time. To call the country in its infancy is an understatement, and there is much more work to be done. The city has excellent tram lines and aside from beautiful sights, the restaurants are amazing-- from soul food to home cooked meals made by church members sold in carts, and the church services in the Central Cathedral of the Gospel Church of Caryton are rumored to be otherworldly serene.

The Stage


It is the Carytonic belief that a modest, moralistic, and quiet life grants one peace in Heaven. The stage is modeled the same way-- in the West Georgine Performing Arts Center. The PAC is located on "Culture Street", the same road that bears the Central Carytonic Opera House only a few souvenir shops away. The stage is both contemporary and simple, bearing a customization "stage color ambiance", a full lighting and pyrotechnic set, several LED screens arranged in an easy-to watch manner. The main floor is bordered by bushes into a diamond shape to give a fresh natural air to the venue-- and there is a background level where a chorus or orchestra can easily perform. Easiness to watch is the stages' main goal. The stage is a medium size-- not so big as to dwarf a solo performer, but not so small as so a background choir or orchestra can't hop on behind them. Next to the venue are a variety of soul food and local Carytonic hits-- as well as the lobby's concession stand-- all sold at an astoundingly low price. A massive parking lot and seating area means you won't have to wait in lines for this traditional experience. The maximum occupancy for the seating approximates around 20,000, plus an extra 2,000 in specially made outdoor viewing areas set up in the neighboring "Virgin Mary's Pond Park" for a comfortable experience. Admissions are pricey due to the small occupancy, but it is all agreed that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

The postcards will portray a professionally done landscape picture of a Golden Retriever, with a simple care-free layout of the nation's basic competing information on it. The postcards are not meant to be extravagant, but to reflect the humble and simplistic nature Caryton aims to provide this WorldVision for a happy experience of wholesome music-sharing.

The Scoreboards

Caryton aims to provide a simple, easy to understand scoreboard free of graphics or distracting designs. An asymmetrical column of alternating colors above a yellow bokeh background gives a casual yet beautifully simple air to it. This scoreboard is extremely minimalist in comparison to its competitors'. However, Caryton is using such simplicity to its advantage. It's important to note that should the number of participants stay around a comfortable 20-30 range, there will be attempts made at providing two or three columns-- however, the four-column system will only be used if 35-40+ participants perform.

Caryton, in the spirit of keeping things interesting, inverts the colors of the bokeh for a theatrical, pizzazz voter interface while still maintaining simplicity.

In a recent interview with Valtakunnan Ááni, Hina Ruoho has teased some hints for her upcoming performance of her latest single "ALCHEMY" at the WorldVision Song Contest:

"Yes, so we're going for a bit of a hot and heavy vibe, you know? Taking the sterile laboratory and adding some mystery and plenty of physical contact- it's a hot and heavy song, 'ALCHEMY', so naturally we want to incorporate that into the performance.... and yes, of course we will have an outfit change, but I can't tell you how that's going to play out, hmm? Oh of course the outer world will be favorable to us ladies, that's just how it is there isn't it?"

NTV Special Announcement!

After a edition absence, NTV is proud to announce the return of Natanya to the Worldvision Song Contest! Many fans were worried that after Natanya's disqualification and then following absence and radio silence on that contest that it was the end for Natanya's Worldvision participation, or that we were entering into another period of dormancy.
Today, however, Natanya WV fans rejoice as not only does NTV break their silence on WV but bring a surprise announcement of a full return to the competition as well as an act announcement, with Chŏnsul being confirmed to be having a second chance at representing Natanya on the big stage.
Speaking in the NTV statement, Chŏnsul expresses his joy in being able to go to the contest again, "Worldvision 76 was very unfortunate and I thought it might have been my one chance blown, but thankfully I'm getting a second try at presenting my song, hopefully I can do Natanya proud, for real this time!". His song "Shards" will once again be sent to the contest too. NTV looks forward to returning to the contest for the foreseeable future!

OOC: Hi there, we back. I decided not to enter WV77 after my WV76 disqualification and was unsure of I was gonna return in the future or just stick to WHF, however I have decided to return to the contest after a one edition absence, similar to what Elejamie did after the Monterra Incident. Hopefully I can do as well as Elejamie did on return. I have looked over the rules and see none relating to the re-use of a disqualified entry, and considering that how much I liked my would-be WV76 entry's lyrics and performance and not wanting them to go waste is one of the things fuelling the return, I have decided to re-enter said entry as my WorldVision 78 enter. A similar Teesdexxian re-entry will likely follow, as will a return to the Discord server as well. Here's hoping 78 is the edition that finally goes without a hitch (for me at least lol)
