Exercise Tornado Spectre by Nancy Lubis
The 14th Infantry Brigade, 1st Light Infantry Division kicked off its first training exercise in hilly jungle area code-named "Tornado Spectre" at a Wellington Hill training area. This training exercise will lasts until late September. The 14th Infantry Brigade will carry out training in subtropical mountainous jungle area on more than 30 subjects, encompassing the fieldwork construction, fieldwork camouflage, reconnaissance, covertness, field survival, offensive and defensive tactics for battalions and companies, etc. The 14th Infantry Brigade will also conduct a counterattack drill with an armoured elements from the 2nd Highwood Guard Regiment and carry out a live-fire drill of tactical background during the “Tornado Spectre” training exercise. 14th Infantry Brigade consists element from 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th Fairchilds Infantry Regiment and support fire unit from Divisional Artillery Group. Current 14th Commanding Officer is Brigadier Collin Thormount. |
