Part 1:October 31st 2019-1st January 2020
October 31st 2019- People wake up to a new UK, a UK which however hard it tried could not get a deal over the line with the EU, resulting in a No Deal Brexit, arguably the worst case scenario. Over night the pound drops in value to $1.15, one of the lowest values in history. The port of Dover essentially shuts down as all trucks delivering goods who didn't make it in before mid-night have to be stopped and searched, the same happens on the now hard Irish border. Boris Johnson prepares to address the nation on the uncertain future of the UK. Scottish First minister also prepares to address Scotland on once again trying to gain independence from the mainly pro Brexit England and Wales. The day goes on in confusion as financial centres try to access the damage caused to their businesses over night, fears of another recession begin to manifest themselves into reality as projected spending is much lower due to uncertainty. People stare at their TVs trying to grasp what the future will hold. A Historic Day
November 1st 2019- A massive 20mile queue has already formed in Dover with truck drivers being parked for hours on the motorways near the port. Normal people begin noticing the affect of Brexit through the prices of certain foods increasing, especially cheeses, pasta and wine. Pound continues to dip lower to $1.10. Scotland begin trying to negotiate with England about a way to leave the UK.
November 5th 2019- People begin talking about organising a massive march against the government on the 31st of November. Some goods from Europe are no longer being sold due to the queues at Dover which haven't ceased. Boris Johnson begins drawing up plans to close the UK border so that goods can get into the UK whilst not causing the queues that are currently taking place.
November 10th 2019- Parliament meets for the first time since the No deal exit. Violence erupts on the Irish/Northern Irish border after people were trying to get back to Ireland after getting stuck behind the hard border, very similarly to the Berlin wall. It is nicknamed the 'Irish Block'. Soldiers are there to try and maintain order and protect people against the 'new IRA'. Prices of most foods go up as British farmers cannot sell goods to the EU anymore.
November 13th 2019- Boris Johnson's idea of closing the British Borders to alleviate the stress on Dover and other port cities is passed in Parliament somehow to the surprise of the UK and the World. The Pound sharply dives once again to $1.05, almost at parity with the Dollar. Prices of food and medicines continue to rise.
November 15th 2019- The EU shows signs of struggle as well, especially automotive industries, which see the most problems post Brexit. However the automotive industry in the UK takes a much harder hit. Spending in all major sectors decreases, the threat of another recession is very high at the present moment.
November 20th 2019- Due to Brexit uncertainty and other global factors, the World is once again in a major recession, worse than that experienced in 2008.
November 24th 2019- The Pound sinks beneath the dollar at a price of $0.82
November 26th 2019- Protest erupt in the centre of London, Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh, people protest the way the current government are handling the Brexit situation. Violence however begins after police are sent in with riot gear to break it up.
November 31st 2019- A large, peaceful protest is quickly broken down by riot police officers armed with rubber bullets and batons. over 300 people are severely injured and 1 person died, a young man by the name of Ben Andrews, he quickly becomes a martyr, for the cause of once again joining Europe. Food Prices continue to rise, many people begin dipping into their stockpiles.
December 1st 2019- Boris Johnson gets approval from the queen to shut down Parliament. He also begins drafting the 'December Policy' a mysterious new policy which he says will stop the current crisis, quickly and effectively.
December 5th 2019- Johnson puts into power the December policy. It begins with the shutting down of all major airports until further notice, any and all people who take part in protests shall be arrested, a curfew from 10:00 at night to 06:00 in the morning is put in place, police officers shall be issued with pistols and bullet proof vests. The army shall be deployed once again into Northern Ireland, and all major cities. Schools shall also be shut down to protect children. Rations shall also begin every week and shall be distributed by the military.
December 10th 2019- Snow begins to fall all over the UK, it is nicknamed the 'Brexit Winter'
December 16th 2019- non stop snow fall has covered cities in up to 1.2m of snow in some places grinding the British people down further and further. Authorities cannot cope with all the snow so businesses shut down as employees cannot get to work. The NHS is the only major installation that tries to keep working, it sees a major influx of people suffering from cold related illnesses such as pneumonia.
December 20th 2019- the snow has halted all progress in Dover.
December 23rd 2019- Rations have been cut down due to the snow so that people can last longer, the government encourages stockpiling. An argument with a soldier on the outskirts of Sheffield resulted in a violent arrest by the soldiers dispensing rations, the 43 year old man later died in hospital.
December 24th 2019- The feeling in the current UK is one of extreme tension and uncertainty, power cuts hit the country after the EU began cutting the amount of electricity that the UK imports from them. The papers coin the phrase 'the Grey Christmas' due to the somber and apprehensive feeling in the nation.
December 25th 2019- Christmas, Police and soldiers are still stationed in all major cities, keeping order. Several people began attacking a section of police officers with knives and sticks and batons, resulting in the 5 civilians getting shot dead by the police.

December 31st 2019- on the last day of the year 2019 the funeral for the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip is held. It is not only a physical funeral, it is a representation of the old UK, before Brexit, and after Brexit, the troubled time that the UK is experiencing currently.
