Second British Civil War timeline

Postby Galyimpia » Wed Aug 28, 2019 6:06 am

This post is set to explore how the 2016 Brexit referendum could result in a civil war on the streets of Britain. This series will be split into several parts and if you have an idea that you think is worth writing about DO IT! Add as much to this story as possible, for example write an account of a specific battle or event and add to the lore!

Part 1:October 31st 2019-1st January 2020

October 31st 2019- People wake up to a new UK, a UK which however hard it tried could not get a deal over the line with the EU, resulting in a No Deal Brexit, arguably the worst case scenario. Over night the pound drops in value to $1.15, one of the lowest values in history. The port of Dover essentially shuts down as all trucks delivering goods who didn't make it in before mid-night have to be stopped and searched, the same happens on the now hard Irish border. Boris Johnson prepares to address the nation on the uncertain future of the UK. Scottish First minister also prepares to address Scotland on once again trying to gain independence from the mainly pro Brexit England and Wales. The day goes on in confusion as financial centres try to access the damage caused to their businesses over night, fears of another recession begin to manifest themselves into reality as projected spending is much lower due to uncertainty. People stare at their TVs trying to grasp what the future will hold. A Historic Day

November 1st 2019- A massive 20mile queue has already formed in Dover with truck drivers being parked for hours on the motorways near the port. Normal people begin noticing the affect of Brexit through the prices of certain foods increasing, especially cheeses, pasta and wine. Pound continues to dip lower to $1.10. Scotland begin trying to negotiate with England about a way to leave the UK.

November 5th 2019- People begin talking about organising a massive march against the government on the 31st of November. Some goods from Europe are no longer being sold due to the queues at Dover which haven't ceased. Boris Johnson begins drawing up plans to close the UK border so that goods can get into the UK whilst not causing the queues that are currently taking place.

November 10th 2019- Parliament meets for the first time since the No deal exit. Violence erupts on the Irish/Northern Irish border after people were trying to get back to Ireland after getting stuck behind the hard border, very similarly to the Berlin wall. It is nicknamed the 'Irish Block'. Soldiers are there to try and maintain order and protect people against the 'new IRA'. Prices of most foods go up as British farmers cannot sell goods to the EU anymore.

November 13th 2019- Boris Johnson's idea of closing the British Borders to alleviate the stress on Dover and other port cities is passed in Parliament somehow to the surprise of the UK and the World. The Pound sharply dives once again to $1.05, almost at parity with the Dollar. Prices of food and medicines continue to rise.

November 15th 2019- The EU shows signs of struggle as well, especially automotive industries, which see the most problems post Brexit. However the automotive industry in the UK takes a much harder hit. Spending in all major sectors decreases, the threat of another recession is very high at the present moment.

November 20th 2019- Due to Brexit uncertainty and other global factors, the World is once again in a major recession, worse than that experienced in 2008.

November 24th 2019- The Pound sinks beneath the dollar at a price of $0.82

November 26th 2019- Protest erupt in the centre of London, Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh, people protest the way the current government are handling the Brexit situation. Violence however begins after police are sent in with riot gear to break it up.

November 31st 2019- A large, peaceful protest is quickly broken down by riot police officers armed with rubber bullets and batons. over 300 people are severely injured and 1 person died, a young man by the name of Ben Andrews, he quickly becomes a martyr, for the cause of once again joining Europe. Food Prices continue to rise, many people begin dipping into their stockpiles.

December 1st 2019- Boris Johnson gets approval from the queen to shut down Parliament. He also begins drafting the 'December Policy' a mysterious new policy which he says will stop the current crisis, quickly and effectively.

December 5th 2019- Johnson puts into power the December policy. It begins with the shutting down of all major airports until further notice, any and all people who take part in protests shall be arrested, a curfew from 10:00 at night to 06:00 in the morning is put in place, police officers shall be issued with pistols and bullet proof vests. The army shall be deployed once again into Northern Ireland, and all major cities. Schools shall also be shut down to protect children. Rations shall also begin every week and shall be distributed by the military.

December 10th 2019- Snow begins to fall all over the UK, it is nicknamed the 'Brexit Winter'

December 16th 2019- non stop snow fall has covered cities in up to 1.2m of snow in some places grinding the British people down further and further. Authorities cannot cope with all the snow so businesses shut down as employees cannot get to work. The NHS is the only major installation that tries to keep working, it sees a major influx of people suffering from cold related illnesses such as pneumonia.

December 20th 2019- the snow has halted all progress in Dover.

December 23rd 2019- Rations have been cut down due to the snow so that people can last longer, the government encourages stockpiling. An argument with a soldier on the outskirts of Sheffield resulted in a violent arrest by the soldiers dispensing rations, the 43 year old man later died in hospital.

December 24th 2019- The feeling in the current UK is one of extreme tension and uncertainty, power cuts hit the country after the EU began cutting the amount of electricity that the UK imports from them. The papers coin the phrase 'the Grey Christmas' due to the somber and apprehensive feeling in the nation.

December 25th 2019- Christmas, Police and soldiers are still stationed in all major cities, keeping order. Several people began attacking a section of police officers with knives and sticks and batons, resulting in the 5 civilians getting shot dead by the police.

December 26th 2019- The Duke of Edinburgh dies at the age of 98 after suffering from pneumonia for 2 weeks. A funeral is to be held in five days.

December 31st 2019- on the last day of the year 2019 the funeral for the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip is held. It is not only a physical funeral, it is a representation of the old UK, before Brexit, and after Brexit, the troubled time that the UK is experiencing currently. The Scottish have began to create a border between England and Scotland, creating a system of two states one country, these terms are agreed upon by Boris Johnson and Nicola Sturgeon.

Second British Civil War timeline

Postby Galyimpia » Thu Aug 29, 2019 6:34 am

Glad to see people are looking at this thread, so here is part 2 of the series

Part 2: 1st January 2020-31st March 2020

2nd January 2020- People mourn Prince Phillip's passing, hundreds of thousands of people attended his funeral at Windsor castle.

3rd January 2020- Riots once again break out in the centres of main cities, people riot against the military presence and the curfew in particular. Soldiers begin shooting at protesters with rubber bullets and water cannons, in the freezing conditions of the Brexit winter.

5th January 2020- Dover is completely grid locked, even with the December policies in place to try and elevate the queues.

7th January 2020- Boris Johnson opens parliament once again after more than a month. MPs discuss how to stop rioting. The Brexit party begins to side with the conservatives, on how it is handling the situation with Farage apparently admiring the bravery of PM Boris Johnson.

10th January 2020- Scotland uses soldiers and civilians alike, who are loyal to Scotland to begin constructing a border fence between England and Scotland, explaining that the move is to create a 1 country 2 states situation, which would be used to sway the English government into recognising Scotland's independence.

15th January 2020, the uninterrupted snowfall finally begins to stop, this however doesn't mean an end to Brexit Winter just yet due to the freezing temperatures, in London the temperature dipped to -17 degrees Celsius.

20th January 2020- Violence continues on the Northern Irish Border.

21st January 2020- Jeremy Corbyn meets with opposition party members to begin drafting ideas of how to take down the, what he calls 'fanatical' government.

25th January 2020- British borders are still closed with the only way people are able to get in and out of the UK is via Heathrow airport, the only open main airport in the UK currently.

30th January 2020- Jeremy Corbyn speaks to a large crowd of over 3000 people in Birmingham. Telling them that an end to the current government is coming, to wait out a little bit longer. And that nothing is of the table, referring to violence if need be.

31st January 2020- 3 months after the No Deal Brexit crash. The world is still in the midst of a global recession, In the UK money is almost worthless, most shops are closed and people rely on rations. The Queen and the PM meet and discuss if it is safe for her to stay in the UK, or if she should be evacuated.

1st February 2020- Violence erupts in Birmingham after Corbyn calls to begin the revolution against the government. This starts with people beginning to attack soldiers with knives and any other weapons, over 30 civilians are killed but 23 soldiers lost the lives in the centre of Birmingham on this day. The soldiers retreat back to a Forward Operating Base in Bournville. Corbyn becomes the leader of the newly formed British Democratic Force, a organisation which wants to restore the UK in the EU, take down the current government under the combined leadership of Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage, and restore peace in Britain.

2nd February 2020- Soldiers are equipped with live ammunition and prepare to recapture Birmingham from the BDF.

3rd February 2020- Corbyn begins ordering the fortification of the centre of Birmingham, using destroyed cars, barbed wire, wooden fences. Johnson declares the BDF a terrorist organisation and orders Corbyn to hand himself into Military Police immediately otherwise violence shall be used to take down the BDF.

5th February 2020- The Queen is evacuated to Canada.

6th February 2020- Soldiers begin sweeping the towns near to Bournville and begin advancing onto Birmingham through Edgebaston. The Soldiers encounter heavy resistance from people living there. 1 man opens fire at a section of soldiers with a pistol, however is quickly struck down by the soldiers SA 80s. The Soldiers continue towards the centre of Birmingham in armoured vehicles, encountering more heavy resistance. People throw smoke grenades at the vehicles and throw bricks and other random objects at the soldiers. Soldiers begin trying to destroy the fortification with the vehicles, but are unable to surprisingly. At the end of the day 1 of the 10 armoured cars was abandoned by the soldiers due to severe damage from fireworks and other explosives to the wheels. The BDF announces this first victory, and invites more people to come to Birmingham and fight. Corbyn however warns of hard times ahead, with this first victory being a very surprising one.

10th February 2020- The population of the BDF continues to rise from 3000 to over 6000 in 10 days, those 6000 people are all in Birmingham solidifying defences and building centres for communication, medical care, food distribution etc.

12th February 2020- The BDF now controls most of Birmingham. The front line has however moved as more people from Edgebaston join the Force. They build defences on the very road that the army have been using to get into the centre. Corbyn meets for the first time with the new BDF's 'high office' the MPs who have been supporting the cause of the BDF. He tells them that we need to recruit more people, as the BDF will take higher casualties as the revolution continues.

15th February 2020- Violence erupts in Ireland after the Irish Democratic Force the IDF begin organising attacks on the soldiers in Northern Ireland. The New IRA supports them in this guerrilla campaign.

20th February 2020- Johnson is removed from the position of PM by Farage after he finds out that Boris was going to try and negotiate with the BDF. Meanwhile the BDF reaches a population of 20,000 people. Corbyn calls on Scotland to support the BDF in its campaign. Scotland publicly says no to Corbyn's plea, but secretly begins ferrying weapons to Birmingham. Cpl Anthony Parker is chosen by the High Office of the BDF to command and train the volunteer fighting force in using weapons against the soldiers.

21st February 2020- Farage orders all BDF members to surrender or be under the severe threat of death before Farage orders A large fighting force, designed to take down the BDF's ability to fight, by whatever means necessary.

29th February 2020- Farage orders over 5000 soldiers to finally stop the 'revolution'. Soldiers quickly overcome the relatively hastily built defences around the centre of the city. They begin the main attack at night by using grenades to blow holes into the defences, however another major surprise to the soldiers is that the fortifications hold on. They open fire at everything that is inside the fortification of the centre of the city, many people lose their lives, but the soldiers begin taking a lot of casualties due to the rifles that the BDF got from Scotland. Cpl Parker commands the defence superbly, and after almost 8 hours of non stop mortar shelling by the army. The soldiers have to withdraw once again due to the heavy losses they sustained.

1st March 2020- The second battle of Birmingham ends once again in the BDF holding the centre. The BDF however took great losses, over 500 died. Their bodies are taken to a mass grave site in the small park by the church in Birmingham.

2nd March 2020- Farage orders that London be prepared for attack. It is heavily fortified and all residents need to be evacuated. Many cities in the North of the UK are left empty, many people going to Birmingham to fight, or to serve in the other parts of the BDF. Corbyn and the High Office, want to eventually take London, to do this Corbyn begins to take on more and more volunteers for the BDF soon over 70,000 people claim to be part of the BDF. Corbin drafts the plans for Operation Democracy. It will be a sustained offensive in which 5000 people stay in Birmingham as a defence force, 20,000 fighters shall go west take Worcester and then push north to Wolverhampton, this would establish a defensive line against the Welsh. 30,000 fighters shall go East, this would be a challenging campaign as it covers a lot of land, however the fighting should not be as fierce. They should at the end control Leicester, Oakham and Spalding. A they go they shall leave small groups of fighters to dig trenches help establish communication and maintain a supply of rations to the population. Scotland would be instrumental in the campaign as the would be ferrying weapons, rations, communication and any other necessary supplies, whilst fighting southwards, taking the cities of Blackpool, Leeds and Hull. Finally from the BDF 7,500 fighters will go North to establish defences there, and 7,500 will go South to also strengthen defences, and dispense rations.

25th March 2020- Over the past few weeks the BDF has been collecting weapons and other equipment from Scotland, all leading up to this day. The day that the campaign begins, it has been with held from the fighter until now so that the risk of the soldiers knowing that the BDF was coming was minimal. The attack begins.

26th - 31st March 2020- The Scottish go through the border fence, quickly encountering very heavy resistance in their target cities. However after hours of fighting the Scottish overwhelm the British soldiers, capturing all the target cities except Blackpool. The BDF in the south fare even better capturing the west side of the campaign very easily, the east needed some more time but eventually got to Spalding. Casualties are very high however, by some accounts over 9000 people died on the east side of the campaign, with Leicester being the biggest problem. But after much sacrifice Corbyn speaks to the BDF declaring that the BDF will win, no matter what it takes the BDF shall destroy the fanatical government.

end of part 2

The BDF is doing well but to win the war they will have to push further south, heavily defended by the soldiers of Farage's government. Stay tuned!

see ya later
