It's okay we did work these things out. AHSCA generally probably wouldn't like it much but this time we'll let it pass as Scarlet Eagle and I did work out they'd have a small island nearby occupied for themselves. Something I hope Marcella can address IC down the road somewhere. But that said if RKN does want to voice their concern I'm all for it. All the festival craziness not unlikely something is getting lost in the chain of bureaucracy which is what cause the stir when their characters first arrived.

Though, just so that we are along the same lines, just because they have a speck of land nearby does not mean, that they automatically have the rights to land troops in the UIS, even if it is only to retrieve shopping. It means, that their ships might sail a bit closer to the UIS, Freedom of Navigation and such, but little more.
And if/when Marcella addresses the subject, be assured, that Kyrenaia has her back.

Actually, on orders of the Lord Commander of the Navy, not of the Sultana, but it's a huge difference, actually: Friends of Emperor on one hand and someone, who will at least become Ilkhana of Utica and maybe even Sultana on the other. Some random Baronesses, who played ball with their head of state as kids on one side and the actual granddaughter of the Sultana on the other.
See the difference?
Also, she is not using the assets in the way your people do: She neither used them to travel there, nor did she use any craft, be it land, sea or air to retrieve her shopping.

Easy does it, Scarlet, Ky does have a point. There is a a sub off coast in defense of the Princess but another thing to have a military vehicles and aircraft enter I tacitly pass it for now but Marcella will indeed reign it in some more. in character yes, your ship is okay but also In Character Kyrenaia is looking out for AHSCA as our ally so they're making sure you're not up to no good is all.

You're right, next time I'll most likely have characters use civil ways of moving around. The only reason I used military assets is because both of my girls need to be quickly back home when the Festival ends.

But if they are "heir to one of the mightiest families in the Empire", as you said, they should own a yacht or two or at least be able to charter one. And a crew. For comparison, see Fara, who also is "heir to one of the mightiest families of the [Sultanate]" (and, by the way, she declined an escort, when it was offered to her).
As for the rest of the argument, siblinghood-in-arms is nice and dandy, but explain that to the taxpayer. Unless of course they are alright with it, that military assets are misused in such a gross manner and will not protest the gross nepotism and corruption of their Emperor. Again, escorting is one thing, but using them to pick up shopping and maybe even cause a diplomatic incident are another.
And before you return the question, there are people in the Sultanate, who are not happy about a nuclear submarine escorting one of their Princesses, for a variety of reasons.

That's where you have it wrong, the Smetovs do not have an interest in yachting, nor do many of the nobles families. To give you an example, among the Big Five families, only the Leonhearts have a yacht, and they don't use it often. Nobles in the Empire clearly prefer the warm of their own homes, or going on vacation to one another's home. If they have to go abroad, then they take a plane to a resort or anything similar.
As for the taxpayer, well, what do you expect a Helicopter Landing dock to do except have its aircraft fly? They're already here on a mission mandated by the state, it's not a few additional trips to the islands back and forth that are going to cost that much in terms of fuel and spare parts.

That is exactly what I expect an LPH to do. It's there basically as a Gunboat, to fulfill their "mission mandated by the state". That should be their primary and only objective. They are a military vessel, your people are there on a vacation - they have no business in using military assets. As for the costs, you are pointing out several times, that they're using a Boeing V-22 Osprey for their trips back and forth - as the UK Defence Journal points out, the operating costs for an Osprey are around 11,000 USD per hour of flight. A protocol of a hearing concerning exactly that point published by the U.S. Government Publishing Office and other sources state the same number (one example). Please compare that to the equally-often quoted number of 4,600 USD per flight hour of the Boeing Vertol CH-46 Sea Knight. All out of the Imperial Taxpayers' Money.
