News outlets and media represented by this thread
The Xirroni Journal: A fairly trustworthy (as much as any source can be in this day and age) based in Xirroni. Founded in 1909 by a group of young men remembered as "the Three". Mostly reports on domestic and political affairs. Recently switched to an online format after spending one hundred years as a newspaper.
The Voxijan Chronicle: A news source that has been called "...the Voxijan equivalent of the Wall Street Journal!" (Edwin Thomas, 1978, A Study of Foreign Newspapers). Founded in 1943 to report on the war, it passed from being government-funded into private hands in 1967. Mostly reports on business and Voxijan events that impact the wider world. Operates simultaneously as a website and a newspaper.
The World: A mostly untrustworthy news website that panders to right-wing interests. This source is included here for side color and laughs. This website was founded in 2016 by former psychologist Emetzi Viskarret to espouse his political views. Reports on anything and everything. Was always a website. Update: after some scandals, the World has reinvented itself as "the only source willing to talk about the big racial issues!" Still racist, though.
The News: A gossip website and magazine that mostly reports stories about Voxijan celebrities and politicians. Founded in 1995 by Kavinda Urbina, who did not like that the rest of the gossip magazines never wrote about Voxija. Unlike most similar newspapers, the News is accurate and sources its news.
The Rambler: A small-time blog and magazine that reports on local issues that don't make the big newspaper outlets. Known for analyzing events to the point of meaninglessness.
[DISCLAIMER: All articles (and newspaper names) have been translated from the Voxi, sometimes badly (especially in the case of The World). You have been warned.]
