Tonight, 9 artists and 9 songs competed for the right to represent Izmedu in the 73rd WorldVision Song Contest. After intense rounds of international jury and domestic televoting, a result has been reached in a fiercely competitive Izmepisma. With 8 international juries helping to decide the result, we are very proud to announce that this edition's winner is...

IzaRa - Jukim-Jugre

Winning with a stunning 150 points (60 jury + 90 televote) and winning both the jury and televote, IzaRa wins the right to represent Izmedu in the 73rd WorldVision Song Contest while coming close to breaking some Izmepisma records. With a 38 point lead over Dijana Jurina, she wins with the highest overall score since Olga Vrbic & Duje Simunic's "Last Chance" and was also one of two songs in this national final to have received points from all 8 juries. IzaRa's jury strength was primarily built upon securing a top 2 vote from 5 out of 8 juries, with three jurors having given her 12 points. However, it was in the domestic televote was where she truly dominated. She garnered an astounding 245,000 votes from the televote, translating to 26.1% of the total Izmeduan televote and 90 points. This televoting haul is the highest any Izmepisma entrant has gotten since Terezija Novak's "Rat." With this win at hand, alongside "Jukim-Jugre" now being a phenomenon in the country, IzaRa has agreed to represent Izmedu and will be entering intensive rehearsals in the lead up to the WorldVision Song Contest.

The runner-up, Dijana Jurina, has indicated a tentative interest in going to the World Hit Festival. She enters a competitive pool with Ruza Parlov/Ivosev, Dora Skoric, and Jadrana Bogovic all in reserve for a potential participation after WHF46. Dijana is specifically eyeing either the 48th or 49th World Hit Festival, but more details will be released from RTI in the coming future.

We thank each and every international jury that voted in Izmepisma. This would not have been possible without your participation.

My overall account that I use for P2TM and even for international roleplaying! MNM is a mysterious and extremely dangerous dictatorship filled with supernatural oddities, demons, militarized soldiers everywhere, and a misanthropic nihilistic dictator who doesn't give a damn. It's basically if the SCP Foundation got mixed with 1984.

As "Worldvision Season" is in full swing - meaning that nations are in the process of selecting their entries, several of Polkopia's largest betting companies have publicized the current betting odds as determined by several of Polkopia's top specialists. While the odds vary slightly depending on which company's publications are being viewed at the time, Polkopia's top betting company, PRIMEBET, has claimed that their results are the most accurate and will most likely reflect the final scoreboard at the end of the Grand Final. The following publication is screen-capped from their website:

While these odds change drastically depending on news released by each of the competing nations' broadcasters, much is to be said about the Top 3 - which seems to remain constant among the different companies' publicized results...

Jørge Jonsson - Hooked (Ekoz) | WorldVision 73

Kårnis, Ekoes: Ekoz tonight chose it's next representative that will fly the flag at the 73rd WorldVision Song Contest. Eight artists battled it out to win over both domestic and international voters, but only one man managed to take the throphy. Jørge Jonsson, 19, from Rokkestaat won with over 31% percent of the combined televote and jury vote with his single Hooked .

Jørge has made significant waves on social media where he has gained a huge following, with average video views within the millions. He represented the country in the Junior World Hit Festival, placing within the top 3. He released a promo single which entered at number ten on the Ekoesestopplistan.

Jørge stated "I'm so happy that I managed to win. There was a lot of tough competition and some really strong songs so I'm a little shocked, but I'm so so happy. I just can't wait to get on the stage and perform and try to being the trophy home. It'll be super exciting to find out which country I'll be performing in!"

HOST VOTING

The klaxon has sounded, the votes are indeed counted and verified! Do not call in or your vote may still be charged. We had a vertiable smorgaasbord of votes this time round, thirteen in all. But which of our three entries shall be taking the reins of the Contest?

In third place, sadly not troubling the scoreboard is...
Nightton, Natanya!

With four votes, our second place this turn is...
Sector 7, Main Nation Ministry!

Which, of course, thanks to nine of your votes, means that the WorldVision Song Contest 72 shall be hosted in...
ESTOGRAD, ESTOGIUM!!

As always, the host is now formally invited by the Committee to open their IC thread! Bonne chance avec toi, congratulations, and good luck!

The IC Thread is now OPEN!!

Postby Estogium » Mon Apr 29, 2019 2:58 pm

Thank you to the NINE of you that voted for me as the host of the 73rd WorldVision Song Contest. It is a great honour to host the WorldVision Song Contest again and it's great that I can finally add Estogium to this list of nations that have hosted WorldVision. I also feel really honoured to be hosting my 5th full WV ever like omg #record

As I've said to the WorldVision Committee, I will be using a flexi-deadline. However, I will most probably close the lines at 20:00 BST (I should be online to do that).

Similarly to the 66th WorldVision Song Contest, I will provide everyone a voting package if they'd like to use that. More information on when the listen-along will also be provided here on the OOC Thread - so please watch this thread for some announcements.

Anyway without further ado...

And look at that, Nekoni's already posted...

For practical/administrative purposes, no matter how many tunes you use in one edition, they're usually considered one song with a single title. I'll address that other part of Tobu's post soon :p

Unless you can prove that you are not a puppet of Indo States, this signup is REJECTED. All other signups so far are implicitly accepted.

Just curious, but why is Indo States banned?

Pretty sure Indo States was involved with something at WV69, though I could be a bit mistaken.

Quote of the Week: "A NEW STORY ON WRITING THREAD FOR HALLOWEEN!! MYSTERY MINE AVAILABLE NOW!"

RPs I do
- How do you do fellow kids? You want to see something violent? - Artemis: Deimos Trafficking League (Horror/Mature)
- Descend into the forgotten tourist traps of Florida on this transgressive RP! - The Community (Mature/Black Comedy/Slice-of-Life)

Its because of this.

Given its a master-account the user behind is banned. If it were a puppet, then the puppet is banned but not the user. Fatiman Federation is a master-account, hence the ban.
