Welcome to Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019, the fourth instalment of one of the biggest WorldVision and World Hit Festival National Finals. On this page, you will be able to find all of the IC content of each of the shows, including the results of them. Past Editions
2016 - 2017 - 2018

The Format

BVC made little changes to the voting system for the 2019 edition and how the votes are revealed during each live show. The voting split remains the same as it was for the past three years (25:25:50) with the Britonish Jury having a say making up 25% of the vote, the Televotes will make up 25% of the votes while the international juries will make up the remainder of the votes. Nations across the multiverse have taken a keen interesting in participating in Vha Mehlodhivestoile with several of them broadcasting live in their own countries. BVC have stated that a maximum of eight international juries will be allowed to vote during the Semi-Finals of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019 with 2018’s first Semi-Final receiving interest from eight different nations making it the largest Semi-Final in Vha Mehlodhivestoile history. BVC thought that the ranges between the international juries were very small compared to that of the Britonish Juries’ because the Britonish Juries’ votes are distributed in a different way to that of the televotes and the international votes. As changing the Britonish Juries’ votes would be more intricate than changing the International votes (and therefore the Televotes), BVC decided on a new way to collect votes [12, 10, 7, 5, 3, 2, 1, 0] which separates first place and last place more than it did before (three points larger gap) while also making 1st and 2nd place more grouped together along with 3rd and 4th together and 5th and below. Moreover, thanks to the total of those points adding up to 40, the sum of the votes will be even making it easier to convert the Britonish Juries’ votes over.

In the Grand Final, all ten acts must perform their songs live. Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019 televiewers will be able to vote for their favourite act from the start of the show until the lines close minutes after the International Jury votes come through. BVC was fairly happy that 11 international juries participated in Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018 and would like to replicate this (or have more international juries) for the 2019 edition. In Phase 1, International Jurors will order the 10 acts and announce them using the WorldVision Song Contest system [12-10-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1]. This year, there will also be the inclusion of the ABEN Jury, which is a mixture of professionals from Aloquirbe and Britonisea (who didn’t make up the Jury before), Estogium and Nightom. After all the International Juries have voted, in Phase 2, we will then travel around Britonisea to find out the results of the Televote. Britonisea’s televotes will be split based on how many nations have voted - with Britonisea making up around 40% of the total vote [((number of nations voting) - 40%) Rounded to the nearest whole number]. Vha Mehlodhivestoile has predetermined the voting areas.

OOC: Users can only vote once per round, including the Grand Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019. This rule has been changed and revised every single edition - this edition, we will cancel puppet voting. However, users are able to vote with different accounts in different rounds.

OOC: A maximum of eight nations can vote in Semi-Finals. Votes after the eighth nation will not be counted.

HOSTS

Image

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Elias Auvergne-Lancey is one of the biggest show hosts who originally came from Aloquirbe - a country located within the ABEN Union. As well as hosting multiple ABEN shows in both English and Britonish (mostly in Aloquirbe and Nightom), Elias recently hosted the 43rd World Hit Festival in Burgendore alongside Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018 host Evangeline Hope. During the 43rd World Hit Festival, the two proved to be a big hit amongst Britonish fans, with Britons asking for more airtime for Elias. Elias will be hosting the first three live shows of the competition - the Semi Finals in Telm City, St Kings Bay before returning back to Burgendore's VEFEKOM Arena for his final show.

James Edwards: Elias won't be hosting the Semi Finals of one of the largest national finals by himself, however. Along with Elias, James Edwards will join him for the three Semi Final shows on the 16th, 23rd and 30th of March. James Edwards, 31, is a Briton from Telm City - the city that we are going to first! The Telmian is known for being a television host, being on the show "Wife Swap: Britonisea" on Channel 4, the reasonably popular "Night Gambling" on TBE while also being the continuity announcer on channels such as BITC and our very own BVC. James Edwards has the live experience from Night Gambling, but is excited to work with Elias and the BVC in this different scenery.

Along with Elias, Ella Estelle will be hosting the Grand Final in Machievelihe.

Ella Estelle: Coming from the same strand as last year's host, Santiago Carillion, Ella Estelle is a 27 year old singer-songwriter who has remained relatively distant from the WorldVision Song Contest and World Hit Festival. Ten of her songs, as a song-writer and a singer, has reached the Top 10 in the Britonish Charts, remaining on the charts for weeks after; which is an achievement for such a highly competitive and ever-changing music chart. Ella has also had success outside of Britonisea, with her success reaching ABEN nations, reaching #1 twice in Nightom and once in Estogium with her own songs. Ella has got the confidence to host the competition, with her regional touring ending in late January - and straight from there, she will get herself ready to present herself in front of 17 million households...

Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019 | SF1 | Telm City, Britonisea

Live Coverage of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019. LIVE from Telm City, Britonisea with your hosts Elias Auvergne-Lancey and James Edwards.

Vha Mehlodhivestoile is back on television screens across Britonisea and WorldWide after a longer than usual break from the contest. Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019 marks the lastest the festival has started (mid-March instead of the beginning or even February). BVC are back with their hit show, after what was a successful 2018 edition last year. There was a shift back to how things were run in 2016 after 2017 did not turn out as well as BVC were expecting. This year, due to the successes of the year before, not much has changed, except the 25 acts that are participating in the Festival and the cities that are hosting each round of Vha Mehlodhivestoile. This year, we start in Telm City - one of the global capitals - who are ready to welcome us in what will be an amazing start to the contest. At 20:00, Vha Mehlodhivestoile’s titles begin. The decision to keep the font from 2018 was made as soon as the 2018 edition finished (usually it changes per year). There is a new background, giving the contest a more modern feel that than before… The broadcast started with a 3 minute video tape recalling what has happened last year. For the first time, we are introduced to Vha Mehlodhivestoile's full theme tune...

00:00 - You can hear the cheer of the audience in the Telm Arena very faintly as the music begins. For the fans who are watching the screens around the arenas and for those at home, the first thing that they can see is Evangeline Hope and Santiago Carillion (the hosts of the 2018 season) stepping out in front of the fans in the Ghiez Maine Arena before we had quick shots of the eight acts that performed in that Semi-Final such as the likes of Eleanora Buckingham, J3 and Luxury Ladies and the end of this, we saw the winners of that Semi-Final (Kelsey and Petre) holding the bouquets they were given at the end due to their wins.

00:22 - We then move on to the Second Semi-Final, the Semi-Final that so far produced 66% of the winners from Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018. Similarly to the sequence showing the people from the 1st Semi-Final, there was a montage of people performing on the Vha Mehlodhivestoile stage such as Liam Jishak, Urbain and Mathias Bexley-Durand. We went through the eight acts one by one before going to Liam and Kayley holding each other and the bouquet of flowers. We had a snapshot of Taron Woods, who came 3rd, looking down at the ground slightly disappointed due to how close the vote was.

00:47 - We progressed to the Third Semi which was being held in Tonesk, a city located in the centre of Britonisea. We saw Evangeline Hope and Santiago Carillion walking out in front of the audience for the third time smiling to their audience. Mya Richardson, Laila Khan and Giselles were amongst the faces that were shown here as we had a montage of the eight acts that performed in the Tonesk. After the montage, we then saw the two winners of the Semi-Final, Giselles and Arvin Dalir holding the flowers and looking at the press taking pictures of them. Reuben was shown sighing off to the side.

01:08 - As the music progressed, we then saw the two hosts come out again for the Battle Stage which saw Antahbrantahstan, Togonistan and Izmedu vote for their favourite acts to qualify to the Grand Final. The six acts were shown on a scoreboard before we went to battle one which was decided by the Jury from Antahbrantahstan. There was a quick shot between Luxury Ladies and David Kiser before the Anturian-Britonish star, Sara-Lorena Huntington, announced that "Congratulations, Luxury Ladies, you are the winner of this battle!" We saw Luxury Ladies responding to this news ecstatically before we quickly went to the Battle Two voted by Togonistan - which turned out to be the most important battle as it was between Taron Woods (the eventual winner) and Abandonne. There was a shot of both of them performing with all their might. We then crossed over to Daniel Makala from Togonistan announcing "With a score of 7 to 3, the jury from Togonistan decided that the act going to VHA Mehlodivestoile 2018 Final is...Taron Woods!" which saw Taron scream with joy before punching his fists in the air, signalling the change for the next battle. We had a shot each performance from Battle 3 - between both Reuben and J3 as the music got thicker in texture. Karin Volaric was then shown on the screen saying "The winner of this duel is... Reuben Lonsdale's Perilous! Congratulations!!!" The last shot from this section was Reuben celebrating while J3 tried to hide their disappointment away.

01:53 - As the song reached it's climax, we saw Santiago Carillion and Evangeline Hope enter the stage for the last time before Evangeline Hope said "Welcome everybody to Vha Mehlodhivestoile: GRAND FINAL 2018!!!" The cameras zoomed out as we went through a montage of all the performances very quickly (showing no more than a beat of each, but focusing for two beats for Taron's performance).

02:15 - We then quickly went through a black and white display of the eleven nations that voted in the Grand Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018, including the likes of Besen, Arioslavia, Polkopia, Platerdam, Darkmania and Todlichebujoku. No nation gave Taron Woods less than 5 points and we watched Taron make the move to the top of the scoreboard. The camera zoomed into the face of KAYLEY after she won the Jury Vote from last year. In a similar quick montage to the International Jury votes, we flashed passed the Britonish votes, with Taron Woods not doing too well with the first few Britonish areas, falling to 4th place at one point. However, right at the end of this sequence the lines were said amongst the tune: "The person that received twelve points from the capital city of Doportedas is... TARON WOODS!"

02:38 - As the song hit that final note, it was of Taron Woods holding his trophy in the air as the confetti in the colours of Britonisea fell from the rigs from the top of the arena. The visuals quickly cut after focusing on Taron Woods for a few beats.

02:41 - At this point, the screen was black. You could hear the full power of the audience in Telm City as the "VHA MEHLODHVIESTOILE 2019 TELM CITY SF1 indent" showed up on the screen above in front of the black background. The blue faded in like above between 02:45 and 02:50. The indent faded out after being on the screen for a while before entering the arena for the Opening Act.

At the end of the videotape, the camera zoomed over the audience of 14,000 in The Telm Arena and the music started to play... Evangeline wore a flowy grey dress (without the flower) which looked rather beautiful, especially when there's a wider shot, it was the same dress that she wore in Kalosia during the 42nd World Hit Festival. She wore silver jewellery along her hands and in her hair. She took her position on the small stage - plonking herself right in the middle of it. By the look of her make-up, she looked as she was rather tearful before coming on the stage. On the main stage were men dressed (around eight of them, sitting four on each side, two on each level of the centre of the main stage) in professional orchestra attire. For the a small majority of the performance, however, we wouldn't get a glimpse of them. The song started...

Oh no,
Here we go.
I'm falling for you, I
Haven't forgotten you yet
I thought a break was good.
Evidently not - you're still here in my thoughts.

A camera had focused on Evangeline Hope throughout the entirety of the first verse of the performance. Evangeline was interacting with the camera as it very slowly moved around her, looking at the camera with her eyes full of tears ready to fall. The jewellery that she was wearing every so often flickered amongst the bright light which fell on top of her. As she sang “you're still here in my thoughts” the camera that was focused on her had blurred out. Another camera, which was further out had met her. A few audience members were captured in this shot, and as audiences do, turned on their phone torches which only added to the performance. The first of the men on the main stage started to play their strings instrument as she continued singing. The camera slowly turned around to expose a dim blue light in the background with people on the stage - but due to the bokeh effect, you couldn't see that far behind Evangeline.

I think you love to play me
Unlike yours, my heart is genuine
And I want to hate you,
But that is impossible.

As she sang “And I want to hate you,” the put her hand to her chest and closed her eyes but as she finished singing the pre-chorus of the song, she had reopened her eyes and nodded her head in accordance to the lyrics that she was singing. To accommodate the sudden pause in the music, the camera shot which was focused on her quickly zoomed outwards while also fading to black. In the arena, the light that focused on Evangeline had also faded away. For a few seconds, the whole arena - apart from the audience and their phones - was dark. Evangeline Hope started to sing the chorus of the song before a light around the small stage lit up to show her face. A camera from further away zoomed slowly into her face, going across the audience during this this.

I have tried to
Separate heart from mind.
As I'm the one hurting,
I see you - and you're fine.
I have tried to
Protect my heart from breaking
But it's when our eyes meet,
It's in that moment,
That I fall in love with you.

The orchestra men in the back were getting slightly louder as Evangeline Hope sang the first chorus. There was a sincerity all over the face of Evangeline as she sang the first chorus. As she sang the final line of the chorus, the next shot was off the stage in its entirety, and with the sound of the large drop, the lights at the back of stage all shone from one side straight to the other stage.

It’s tearing me apart
Oh my shoulders ache from the weight -
I can't think straight.
And I know you know what you're doing.
Do you find it fun,
Am I just your amusement?

I've been told to not follow
My heart because I'll be let down.
And I want to hate you,
But that's impossible.

There were more shots of the eight-piece orchestra who were on the main stage - with the camera slowly zooming in to the men playing their strings instruments con arco. The next shot was of the whole stage, slowly twinkling with Evangeline still on the smaller stage. The camera then slowly zoomed in to Evangeline Hope as she started to sing a tiny bit louder than she had sung in the past.

And I have tried to
Separate heart from mind.
As I'm the one hurting,
I see you - and you're fine.
I have tried to
Protect my heart from breaking
But it's when our eyes meet,
It's in that moment...

At the end of the second chorus, Evangeline had gotten up from her seated position and started to walk along the smaller stage to the main stage, where the orchestra were. She started to run along the catwalk as the line "Or maybe I'm wrong, I'm paranoid". As she started to run, the LED on the back was showing twinkling lights moving in the opposite direction that Evangeline was running to make it look as though she was running much faster. In addition, there was a large gust of wind hitting her face, with all of her hair flowing in the back. As she reached the main chorus, she stood in the middle of the eight-piece orchestra, who had ignored Evangeline as she solemnly came through.

You have got me, you've made me vulnerable
I feel tangled in your web, I'm stuck
You love seeing me this way.
Or maybe I'm wrong, I am paranoid
Your false sense of security
I don't know how to think.

She had stood in the middle of the main stage, with the eight-piece orchestra behind her lit up in a dim blue. During the first of the two final choruses, the spotlight had focused on Evangeline Hope. The camera was zooming in to her hand gestures, slowly zooming out as she lowered her hands to the floor or moved her hand away from her heart, for example. As the second of the final chorus came up, the whole stage lit up, exposing the faces of all of those playing the instruments behind her. The camera slowly zoomed out from Evangeline's face, revealing the twinkling lights of the stage wall behind her. The wind machines in the back gently blew back her hair over her shoulder. Throughout the final couple of choruses, there were a few members of the audience singing along with Evangeline, swaying gently along to the soft and vulnerable song.

I have tried to
Separate heart from mind.
As I'm the one hurting,
I see you - and you're fine.
I have tried to
Protect my heart from breaking
But it's when our eyes meet,
That is when I fall in love with you!

As she sang "in love with you", the pyrotechnics were set off, with a waterfall of gold falling along the back of the main stage. The female backing vocalists also came in very loudly too - with Evangeline singing the higher bits she needed to. The backing vocalists were taking hold of the song behind her. The camera was emotionally close with Evangeline as she sang the last chorus. She held the note off of "with you" for rather long, her hand without the microphone out in to the space of the stage.

I have tried to
Separate heart from mind.

Noooo, Nooo
As I'm the one hurting,
I see you - and you're fine.

I have tried to
Protect my heart from breaking
But it's when our eyes meet,
It's in that moment,

That I fall in love with you.

As she sang "It's in that moment", all the lights turned off except for one left on Evangeline Hope. At the end of the song, the camera panned to everybody in the arena before showing Evangeline's face again - "Thank you, everyone! Good luck to all the participants this year!!" Evangeline screamed into the microphone before jumping up and down happily. On the smaller stage stood the two male hosts for the evening, Elias and James…

James Edwards: *clapping* And that was the legendary Evangeline Hope singing her World Hit Festival winning, chart-topping, heartbreaking ballad, “When Our Eyes Meet”! Thank you, Evangeline!

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: And to all of the millions of you watching at home, I would like to welcome you to vha piyrez Mehlodhivestoile on Segunvwize-hindred oe veneude [4th Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019], I am Elias Auvergne-Lancey…

James Edwards: And I am James Edwards and we will take you through to the Battle Stages, when I get ditched for the beautiful Ella Estelle - I am not jealous or anything.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Honestly, hosting all these Semi-Finals are tiring, James - you’re pretty lucky! This year, 25 acts will take the stage, vying for the £150,000 BPS price and that ticket to the WorldVision Song Contest.

James Edwards: And who do you think will decide the winner? Well, a mixture of your votes at home and international votes - they will give us a clear representation of how they will vote when our acts face the international stage. Our 25 acts mustn’t be scared, though. They will get enough training here at Vha Mehlodhivestoile!

James and Elias started to walk towards the main stage of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019. As they turned around, a steadicam joined the two men as they walked closer and closer to the main stage. Behind the two men you could see the packed stadium of 14,000 people in the same arena which hosted WorldVision Song Contest 66.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Similarly to last year, in the Semi-Finals, the Britonish influence will be 50% to the international influence. For the Britonish side, the juries will make up 50% while you at home make up the other 50%. Now, while you have 25% of the actual vote, you guys can make a big difference as we have seen in the past few years.

James Edwards: And you can start making a difference in 2019 as I can announce that the voting lines for Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019: Semi Final One are now OPEN!

Image
The vote is now open!: Elias and James has just announced that the vote for the first semi-final is now open! Most Britons will wait until during the performance or after all acts have voted to vote. Some like to vote straight away!

The above image showed up on the screens along with the loud cheering of the audience. The two men spoke over the above image being displayed.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: The two acts with the most votes from the international jury, Britonish jury and of course you at home will go straight to the final, while the songs that came 3rd and 4th will go the Battle Stage, where they will get a chance to fight for their survival - always a fun round that is.

James Edwards: Acts 5th to 8th will go home, so make sure to vote for your favourite! Voting details...You can vote via the Mehlodhivestoile 2019 app, or you can vote by calling 0141 2340 22 and the number of when your act is performing. You can also vote by texting "WIN" by texting 623 22 and then the number of your favourite act. For example, if you wanted to vote for act 1, it's 0141 2340 2201. Calls cost 20p but that might vary based on your provider.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Each vote we get through text or phone call will result in that being equal to four app votes. If you don't got the money, you can vote via the app which you can download in the Playstore. You will gain 20 free votes.

The screen then went away and we went to James and Elias, who was standing off to the side as they announced what was going to happen next on the stage.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Okay, it’s time to get to the music, I think! It’s act #1. They’ve come from afar to please you, please welcome to the stage Jun-iči Hoch & Ekkehard Liinamaa with “On My Own”!

The camera panned on Jun-iči Hoch & Ekkehard Liinamaa as they waved to the audience. It then went to their postcard...

Tune: Aly Ryan - Want Your Love (00:36 - 01:05)
I wonder where you are
I need you in my arms

Don’t hate me for wanting you home (Want you home)
Under the duvets, on our own. (Want you home)
Without me, you can’t sleep at night
Oh yeah I want you home
Oh yeah I want you home
Oh yeah I need you home

Dream of me in your sleep, dream of me 'till you come home
Don't stop, don't stop, dream of me in your sleep.
Oh yeah I want you home!

Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019's indent showed up on the screen before panning over the audience who looked as though they had just enjoyed the performance from Alyxhia Willis. James and Elias waited for the camera to reach them before they spoke.

James Edwards: And that was Alyxhia Willis with her song "Want You Home". Did you know she represented us at the 67th WorldVision Song Contest in Darkmania?

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Oh yeah! Yes, she did...And what place did she come...just remind us? *looks cockily towards the audience*

James Edwards: She came 2nd, didn't she?

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Oh yes she did...much better than Mehkl Maddox-Ajax... Anyway...

The audience started to laugh at the joke made by Elias. For those who are unaware, Mehkl Maddox Ajax was the winner of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2017, who went on to represent Britonisea in WorldVision Song Contest 55 before coming 9th - a shock for the nation after Mini Surrey's north victory in 2016.
James Edwards: Oh, that was harsh!

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Just saying what we are all thinking!

James Edwards: Well, right now, you should be thinking about Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019! We are now song number 3. Hoping to represent us is Edison Park with his song "Love How We Play". Let's do this...

Image
03 EDISON PARK - "LOVE HOW WE PLAY"
Tune: Bryce Fox - Horns (00:43 - 01:10)
I am back for you,
When I look in her eyes,
I see nothing but lust.
And she knows that she is
The one that I adore.

She’s got me wrapped around her
Little finger, I’m numb.
But I love it.
Oh I love how we play,
Yeah she knows I am gonna win.

Image
04 DARIA CALIC - "BROKEN PROMISES"
Tune: Ани Лорак - Ты еще любишь (00:58 - 01:20)
All of these damned lies, your fake love
Leave me shattered, with tears on this cold ground
All of these damned lies, tear me apart
Your broken promises mean nothing to me

James Edwards: Thank you very much, Daria, for that! Those are the first four songs of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019 and that marks the halfway point of the first Semi-Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019!

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: The votes so far are coming in thick and fast and it looks like we are on course to beat some records so carry on voting for your favourite act.

The audience cheers as the two male hosts start to clap their hands. The hosts did not want to keep the audience waiting for that long and so announced the next entry.
James Edwards: Back to the music now. Up next is Arek Laghari with the only Britonish song this evening.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Arek Laghari, why don't you take it away for us?

The camera showed him standing in front of Rambo Sulivan, Rico Junior, William Heart, Melanie Reece, Michael John and Tore Gail - his team that helped write his song. It then cut to his VT as the audience applauded once again.

Image
05 AREK LAGHARI - "CRISSE"
Translation: Crisis
Tune: Smiley - Flori de plastic (00:43 - 01:08)
Eistam en crisse
Helpete et, Helpete et sivous

Crissiés et sube
Liviés et dusche
Iesten klinique waus hacués et treste

Lé deseu oe sub
Ma pellis vam neu
Vhe ciel tuté gris - plagué ma sant

I am in crisis
Help me, Help me, please
You all cut me down
You all left me for dead
Your cynical ways left me bitter.

I looked above and below
My skin ware bare
The sky turned grey, it rained my blood.

Image
06 CHARLOTTE'S PARTY - "HIDEOUT"
Tune: Saro - Eyelids (00:32 - 01:01)
Our own island
Where we go to hide
No one will ever... find us, they won’t.
Let us go to our own hideout.

Oooh-Ahh Oooh-Ahh
Oooh-Ahh
Oooh-Ahh Oooh-Ahh
Oooh-Ahh

Before we went to the penultimate act of the night, we were greeted by the hosts one more time. Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019's indent showed on the television screen before it panned over the audience. James started to speak.

James Edwards: I hope everyone is having a great time here in Telm City! I certainly am. Looking out into the audience, I actually feel like I am hosting the WorldVision Song Contest.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Speaking of the WorldVision Song Contest, we actually have a former WorldVision Song Contest winner coming to sing for us for the interval act while everyone at home sends in their final acts.

James Edwards: Well, are you going to tell us all who it is then?

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Hmm, no. All I can say is that the win wasn't expected - it was won by a debuting nation. I am sure you real WorldVision fans out there will know exactly who I am talking about...

Some members of the audience started to shout of the names of the act who was going to perform during the interval act with some people shouting out the wrong names. Some people even decided to shout out "Mini Surrey North" for some reason. Elias quietened the audience;
Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Shhhhh! The performance by this top secret - well, for those who don't watch the WorldVision Song Contest, I guess. The interval act is around 15 minutes away anyway - not too long left.

James Edwards: Well, instead of wondering who will be the interval act, we have the final performance of the night - don't we?

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Returning to Vha Mehlodhivestoile is DIAMANT with their song "Good Wife"!

Image
07 DIAMANT - "GOOD WIFE"
Tune: Four of Diamonds - Blind (00:22 - 00:52)
Shall I tell you what you want, boy?
Shall I tell you what you want, boy?

Do you want me...to be a good wife?
Obedient and quiet - no chance.
Watch me bent over backwards, boy I ain’t got time…
Do you want me to rely on you for all my worries?
Good wife, good wife, good wife!

Image
08 LAILA KHAN - "END OF THE ROAD"
Tune: Hidden Citizens & Rånya - Strange Young World (00:34 - 01:01)
The walls are caving in,
The ground is now shaking.
(Ahhh) The end of the road
With this news, I’m breaking
And my heart is aching…(oooh)
The end of the Road.

The audience was screaming for Laila Khan as she finished her song. Laila tried last year at Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018, but despite being an international jury favourite, the song failed to reach the top in the Britonish votes and Laila failed to qualify. She is hoping to get revenge here. Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019's indent showed on the screen again before James and Elias showed up on the screens...

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: That was the wonderful Laila Khan singing her song "End of the Road". That is it for Semi-Final 1. The votes are still open and will close just after the interval act! But before we go to the interval act, we will show you all a recap of all the songs so far!

The cameras backed away before cutting to the screen with the information for those voting at home...

Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019 | SF1 | Interval Act

Postby Britonisea » Fri Mar 22, 2019 1:30 pm

Image

Live Coverage of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019. LIVE from Telm City, Britonisea with your hosts Elias Auvergne-Lancey and James Edwards.

The camera zoomed over the audience as they applauded the eight acts in the recap. However, it was time to announce that the voting deadline is closed. A timer appeared on the screen as the 7th act was shown in the recap for thirty seconds.

James Edwards: I hope you enjoyed that recap, our team at the back spent ages doing that one - putting it all together so quickly, making sure that it was ready for your viewing pleasure.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Alright, James. Let's not patronise the audience at home, after all, we are taking their money from their votes. That reminds me, the voting lines are about to close...10 seconds...

James Edwards: Have you made your decision yet? No? Well, that is a shame because...the voting lines are now CLOSED!

The camera panned over the audience once more as everybody let out an audible "ooo" sound as a wave of excitement set over the arena and fear for the 8 participating acts.
Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Now, unlike the last time when we revealed the results of the international jury, this time we are going to keep that all quiet. What will happen is that very soon, in fact, straight after the interval act, we will release the top 4. The bottom four were not successful this time 'round and will be sent packing!

James Edwards: We will then go and do some interviews before we reveal the first act, in random order, who qualified for the Grand Final. They will perform a reprise of their song before we go back to the three acts waiting. I will then, along with Elias, reveal the next act who has received enough votes to qualify straight to the final. The names that I don't end up calling are the two who will go to the Battle Stage.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: It kind of combines 2017 with 2018 - the reveal of who goes through or not. All the details will be revealed right at the end of the contest - on the Sunday! We will also reveal the basic ranking of each act right at the end of the Grand Final show.

The audience cheers as the camera angle changes, with the men facing their backs towards the audience. What was happening on the stage was our interval act preparing to perform her song. The two men continued to speak.
James Edwards: Novapax nation, Kassegrochia debuted at the 65th WorldVision Song Contest - stunning the bookies (especially those in Izmedu, they are out of money as it is!) when they won the contest.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: She did win. We came 9th...Anyway, we then hosted the edition afterwards, and I believe that quite a few of you in the audience will know that she reprised her song in this very arena, when Telm Arena hosted the 66th WorldVision Song Contest.

James Edwards: Now, despite the situation going on with Kassegrochia with them not letting anyone in our out...*laughs* we managed to slip Anastaxya to Britonisea so she can perform the reprise of her life back in front of the Britonish audience.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: So...without further ado...please welcome Anastaxya to the stage, with her song, "Angels Never Die"!

Those watching the screens were introduced to a long shot of the arena as the lights dimmed in the arena. The Britonish team behind stage were getting prepared for the reveal as soon as Anastaxya finished her song.

Anastaxya is standing in the middle of the stage, wearing a long royal blue dress. There are black decorative feathers attached to her dress covering her shoulders, while the bottom of the dress is long and goes really wide at the end, covering about half of the stage. Background screens display blue graphics and Anastaxya has her microphone attached to a stand in front of her. Anastaxya starts singing, looking deep into the camera with a sad smile on her face.

Angels never die they always keep rising up
Can you see them walking through the night?
Angels never die, they keep rising to the top
Through the blood and tears they bless your life
Angels never die

Graphics similar to the ones on the background screens start being projected on her long dress. At first, they are the same cold blue, however, at the middle of the verse, whole icy blue theme turns into a more brighter reddish-yellow theme, representing fire. Along with the graphics projected on her dress, background LEDs change as well.

So never lose hope when everything's cold
Get taken over by fear
They're keeping you warm
When everything's torn and the fire is fierce
Oh, rise yourself up 'cause

Anastaxya puts her arms wide open as the camera zooms out on her and stage graphics turn into a mixture of white and bright blue. She sings the chorus while doing smooth hand gestures at the same time along with turning her head sideways every once in a while. Anastaxya also displays some facial expressions.

Angels never die they always keep rising up
Can you see them walking through the night?
Angels never die, they keep rising to the top
Through the blood and tears they bless your life
Angels never die

Background screens and dress projections turn into a mixture of black and white. At first, the graphics are almost all dark and black, but as the verse progresses, white part constantly starts taking over. As the camera approaches her from the side, Anastaxya looks into it with her hands clinging to her microphone. By the end of the second verse, the graphics have almost colored Anastaxya's dress while

They've settled down in eternity
As you think everything must be lost – they come to find and heal your scars
They encourage us all, to rise ourselves to arms and to face our fears
So rise yourself up, you've suffered through harm just to reach your dreams
Oh, rise yourself up 'cause

Anastaxya starts doing hand gestures again as the projections start displaying twirling white and blue graphics on her dress. Cameramen take different shots of her from different angles as Anastaxya is singing her second chorus.

Angels never die they always keep rising up
Can you see them walking through the night?
Angels never die, they keep rising to the top
Through the blood and tears they bless your life
Angels never die

Stage lighting turns dark, with only a single beam of lighting up Anastaxya's top part. Under the cover of this darkness, she quietly slips her right hand behind her back, releasing the buckle of a hidden belt that has been holding the bottom part of her dress in place so far. With the other hand, she removes her microphone from a stand and steps out of her bottom, moving to the edge of the stage.

When the world is fallin' apart for you, they walk you through the night
Raise yourself up once more
Raise yourself up because

The stage lights up again, with LED screens displaying the same familiar blue graphics along with blue stage lighting. With a little trick she just performed in the darkness, Anastaxya has converted her long gown into a short dress reaching just about her knees. She does some hand gestures while standing on the edge of the stage and singing the final chorus.

Angels never die they always keep rising up
Can you see them walking through the night?
Angels never die, they keep rising to the top
Through the blood and tears they bless your life
Angels never die

Anastaxya lowers her head as the music starts fading out along with the stage lighting. In the end, only blue graphics on the LED screens can be seen for a moment before they are cut as well. As the audience starts cheering, lights go on again and Anastaxya is smiling, covering her mouth for a moment out of shyness. ''Thank you Telm City! Thank you all!'' she says to the microphone.

The camera zoomed out before going straight over to the two men, who had changed their outfits, and were looking very sternly into the camera ready to reveal the top 4. The audience quickly quietened down when they say the two men.
Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Hello, it's us again. We will catch up with Anastaxya later on, but first, we are going to reveal the top four acts of the first Semi-Final; here in the beautiful Telm City.

James Edwards: Cue the dramatic music and lighting please...it's time to reveal the first act.

The lights all dimmed in the arena and dramatic music helped enhance the aura set by the hosts. It was time to reveal the four top artists in the combined international jury and Britonish vote. The votes were close in numbers. The fans started to shout out random names in the audience.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: The first act that placed in the top 4 is...

JUN-IČI HOCH & EKKEHARD LIINAMAA!

The audience cheered loudly for the duo - they did have one of the best performances of the night, and it was exciting that they will be performing once again at Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: The second act that placed in the top 4 is...

Alyxhia Willis a home favourite, the audience's reaction was very loud as the cameras panned to Alyxhia blowing kisses towards it. Elias continued to speak...

LAILA KHAN!

Everything was going according to plan in the eyes of the Britonish, another favourite was called out. People wondered who would be the last to be called out - the Britonish audience was certain of who would have that final position.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: The last act that placed in the top 4 is...

James Edwards: is...

Image

...DARIA CALIC!

There were some audible gasps in the audience as Daria's name was called out. Everybody expected Arek Laghari, who had made the Britonish Top 40, to easily qualify. Despite the initial shock, the audience cheered for the successful Daria.

James Edwards: Congratulations to all of the artists, we will come back to you very soon to announce who will go straight to Machievelihe and who will have to make a quick stop at the Battle Stages.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: First, we will have a quick chat with our winning opening and interval acts, Evangeline Hope and Anastaxya!

The men walked over to the greenroom where the two were just sat...

Postby Britonisea » Fri Mar 22, 2019 2:00 pm

The camera focused on the two men who were walking over to the main stage while they were talking.

James Edwards: So we know that our four qualifiers are Daria, Jun-Itschi and Ekkehard, Laila and Alyxhia. But it's time to find out, which two will be going to the Grand Final of Vha Mehlohdivestoile 2019 in Machievelihe.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Similarly to last year, the winners will perform their songs. This year, though, there's a slight difference. We will give you the first winner and they will then perform their song. We will then come back to us two and we will announce the second winner and they will perform their song.

James Edwards: Each of the winners aren't announced in any specific order. The winner of the whole Semi-Final, which will be revealed at the end of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019, could be announced first or second.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: The two names that are not called out will be going to the Battle Stage - their battle will be decided at the end of Semi-Final 3. Right. I think we ought to get on with it?

02 ALYXHIA WILLIS - "WANT YOU HOME"
Tune: Aly Ryan - Want Your Love (00:36 - 01:05)
I wonder where you are
I need you in my arms

Don’t hate me for wanting you home (Want you home)
Under the duvets, on our own. (Want you home)
Without me, you can’t sleep at night
Oh yeah I want you home
Oh yeah I want you home
Oh yeah I need you home

Dream of me in your sleep, dream of me 'till you come home
Don't stop, don't stop, dream of me in your sleep.
Oh yeah I want you home!

James Edwards: Congratulations to Laila Khan and Alyxhia Willis and thank you for your wonderful reprises - we will see the both of you in Machievelihe for the Grand Final! Daria and Jun-Itschi & Ekkehard, we will see you at the Battle Stages.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: We now head off to the sunny St Kings Bay to find out who will join our automatic finalists...from us in Telm City, though...Good night!

Vha Mehlodhivestoile | SF2 | St Kings Bay, Britonisea

Live Coverage of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019. LIVE from St Kings Bay, Britonisea with your hosts Elias Auvergne-Lancey and James Edwards.

Seven nations from around the Multiverse voted in the 1st Semi-Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile, the 10th Semi-Final since this show began in 2019. While it was a decrease of one nation from the 1st Semi-Final of the 2018 show, those at BVC and BITC were very happy with the average range of results compared to previous editions. Worldwide, #VM2019 was trending with it being the #1 watched show in multiple nations during it’s time slot. In Britonisea, a grand total of 11.02 million watched the opening show making it the 8th most-watched semi-final ever. Despite it being only the 8th most watched Semi-Final out of 10, it is the 2nd highest figure for an opening show (beaten by 2017’s opener of 12.38 million) and it is the most watched show of the year so far. The viewing figures are expected to rise in the Semi-Final according to past patterns. The time was 19:59 and the audience were getting seated in St Kings Bay’s St Kings Convention Centre. The official titles for Vha Mehlodhivestoile started to play as the clocks hit 20:00. Unlike last week, there wasn’t a montage, we went to the default 2019 indent.

As we went into the arena, there was silence. The camera focused on a blank stage, zooming over the audience who were all holding lights in true Vha Mehlodhivestoile fashion. After a couple of seconds of the audience calming down, the music started to play

The opening act for this evening was the WorldVision Song Contest entrant, Eva Almast, singing her WorldVision Song Contest song, “Public Enemy #1”. It was a trial during 2018 to invite the Britonish representative to come and perform on the big stage before they went off to WorldVision and Frida Grover seemed to strike success when she got to the 63rd WorldVision Song Contest after her performance. The beautiful Eva Almast walked fiercely from the side of the show’s stage during the beginning of the song. She had two backing dancers right behind her walking. She was wearing not that much, showing her body in a polite but provocative way. The women on either side wore a similar outfit to hers in the colours reminiscent of a fire. The camera followed her around.

Hi, St Kings Bay!
You have tried to drag me down and I've had enough.
You want attention, want to be on top?
Made me look like public enemy #1.

She walked forward, creating a triangle between her and her backing dancers behind her. She put her hand out towards the camera when she sang “public enemy #1”. The camera quickly zoomed out at this point. As the song progressed, the three started to sway and dip along with the strong beat of the song. The two behind Eva really went for it, doing hand actions along with the lyrics that they were saying.

And now that I've made you cry, I'm the big bad wolf
I'm just stating facts, don't mean to be cruel.
You'd hate me even more if I was being fake.

Ahh! So please quit your self-pitying,
People can see right through you.
It's time that you're on trial, trial, trial!

When she sang “Ahhh!” the pyros came in rather earlier than a normal Britonish entry you would see at either the WorldVision Song Contest or World Hit Festival. The stage was filled with fire as a shot from far away showed the whole stage being lit up with fire. She flicked her hair from one side to another and she sang the last bit of the verse. The triangle LED stage flashed on and off during the “trial” bit, along with the flash of the lights in the arena. Eva then broke it down for the first chorus. Her two backing dancers ran to be in a line next to each other. Then then all bent their knees and almost whispered the first chorus. Along with being bunched together, they all clicked their fingers together - with the audience clicking their fingers as well.

I'm sorry I have...
I'm sorry I have...
I'm sorry I have to do this.
But if I didn't...
But if I didn't...
You'd get away with murder, no, no more!

The camera shot that focused on them at the start of the chorus was a close-up, making it really intimate. However, as the chorus built up in tension (“But if I didn’t…”) a camera from further away zoomed into them, slowly increasing in speed as it got closer to them. Right before the next verse started, the three women moved their bodies in a circular motion (a la Vlad Reiser) as the lights in the arena flashed again for the second verse. A camera from under the stage came up and over the happenings...

Have my actions surprised you? I'm reborn, now woke.
You gotta stand back - I ain't no doormat.
I know what you're like, but the world is on my side. (my side)

Ahh! So please quit your self-pitying,
People can see right through you.
It's time that you're on trial, trial, trial!

Eva started to walk towards one side of the stage while her two backing singers went to the other side. The fire followed Eva as she walked down the catwalk. Eva walked down the catwalk with such passion and attitude, it looked as though she was on a mission. The cameras swirled between either sides of the catwalks as the backing singers and Eva got closer together as the catwalks met in the middle. Similar to chorus before, the lights and stage LED flashes on and off before we went to the chorus. She got to the end of the catwalk during the end of the first section of the chorus.

I'm sorry I have...
I'm sorry I have...
I'm sorry I have to do this.
But if I didn't...
But if I didn't...
You'd get away with murder, no, no more!

A large white sheet (a la Denmark 2014) fell down from behind the “island” section in the stage as the wind machines started to blow it slightly backwards over the audience in the golden zone during the last bit of that chorus and the repetition of it. It’d be a fire hazard to keep the fires going along the catwalk, but that didn’t mean they weren’t still going on the main stage.

I'm sorry I have...
I'm sorry I have...
I'm sorry I have to do this.
But if I didn't...
But if I didn't...
You'd get away with murder, no, no more!

The whole arena turned dark except for the stage that they were on. There were these huge 6ft sticks laying down on the floor which the women picked up. White light was flashing furiously at what was happening on the island stage. The three women were all fighting each other on the stage in a very staccato way. Moving every half second or so. The camera shots reflecting this madness, multiple shots were used from different areas of the arena.

At the end of this instrumental section, Eva banged her stick down on to the ground as the other two women fell to the ground. A large male appeared from behind her and put a crown on her head before the shot lost focus. The man then ran off the stage when a shot from the side of the main stage, behind the large white sheets, were shown.

Ahh! So please quit your self-pitying,
People can see right through your lies!!

As the chorus was coming again, the large sheets that were dropped down were quickly hauled back up. The camera was waiting for her on the other side. She was sitting on a throne that four women were holding in the air. She still had the stick in her hand and the crown on her head. As the chorus came back in, they started to move the throne towards the main stage.

(I'm sorry I have...) Yeah-ah!
(I'm sorry I have...) I am sorry I!
I'm sorry I have to do this.
But if I didn't...
But if I didn't...

You'd get away with murder, no, no more! Ohhh yeah-yeah!

(I'm sorry I have...) Yeah-ah!
(I'm sorry I have...) I am sorry I!
I'm sorry I have to do this.
But if I didn't...
But if I didn't...

You'd get away with murder, no, no more! Ohhh yeah-yeah!

Yeah! Oh yeah!

At the end of the song, they lowered the throne and she stood strongly off her dominance - the four women around her dropped to the ground. The audience applauded her furiously. “Thank you, St Kings Bay! Thank you!” she exclaimed. The camera panned around to the two hosts for the evening, James Edwards and Elias Auvergne-Lancey.

They were turned to face the main stage (backs to the audience) before they started speaking to their audience of what is expected to be 12 million.

James Edwards: And that was our current WorldVision Song Contest song, “Public Enemy #1” sung by the amazing, talented Eva Almast. Let’s get her to number one, everyone!

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: But we need to pick our next WorldVision Song Contest representative alongside our World Hit Festival rep too!

James Edwards: And this is the right place for it, Elias. I am your co-host James Edwards…

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: I am Elias Auvergne-Lancey and we will be taking you through the proceedings tonight.

The audience cheered loudly for their hosts as they introduced themselves. The two hosts turned around with their backs towards the main stage now. A camera met the pair’s eyes as they turned around.

James Edwards: Last week’s show was certainly interesting - wasn’t it? We had two people go to the Grand Finals where they will be joined by Giselles. Those two were Laila Khan - who didn’t qualify last year - and Alyxhia Willis - who represented Britonisea at the 67th WorldVision Song Contest.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: While Jun-Itschi and Ekkehard alongside Daria Calic went to the Battle Stages. For some, some of those who didn’t qualify was a shock. However, it’s the aim of the game, you’ve got to please both the International Juries alongside the Britonish Public and Jury vote. Also - I just want to take the time to thank you all for the 9.5 million votes that we received last week.

James Edwards: 1.9 million of those votes came from our new voting area, Aloquirbe, who are really enjoying the chances they are getting to vote.

A large amount of Aloquirbs are in the audience tonight. St Kings Bay is located on an island a few miles NW of Britonisea and NE of Aloquirbe and it’s the closest the show will get to Aloquirbe this year. Around ¼ of those in the arena are from Aloquirbe.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Let’s get down to business. Tonight, the same as what happened last week will happen. The International Jury will make up for 50% of all of the vote after the show that they will see tonight. We will then see the Britonish Jury make up 25% of the vote while you guys at home will make up the rest of the vote.

James Edwards: And looking at the voting statistics, even though you guys are only 25% - which will increase for the Grand Final - you can still make a huge difference so do keep on voting!!

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: I guess the only thing that we can do now is say…THE LINES ARE NOW OPEN!

Image
Semi-Final 2 lines are open: The Britonish Public can start to vote for their favourite act of the evening, but most of them will wait until the recap to vote in order not to waste their votes.

James Edwards: As was done last week, the top two artists when we add up the votes of the international jury, the home jury and the televotes will go straight to the Grand Final which is held in Machievelihe.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Meanwhile, the two who come 3rd and 4th will go to the Battle Stages to fight for their survival. Acts 5th to 8th will go home, so make sure to vote for your favourite! Voting details...You can vote via the Mehlodhivestoile 2019 app, or you can vote by calling 0141 2340 22 and the number of when your act is performing.

James Edwards: You can also vote by texting "WIN" by texting 623 22 and then the number of your favourite act.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: It’s time for music! The first act of the evening is Anabella Perry, who will sing her song, “Cannot Take Anymore”! Let’s hear from her….

THE SONGS

PLAYLIST: Semi Final 2, St Kings Bay
Below are the eight songs that make up the first Semi-Final, here in Telm City! We look forward to seeing all of your votes, the acts have worked hard to get here!

Image
01 ANABELLA PERRY - "CANNOT TAKE ANYMORE"
Tune: Skott - Mermaid (00:27 - 00:57)
You’re a mystery, I’m in the dark.
You cause me mis’ry, now it’s now more.

You are the one that I would live for,
But to me you’ve closed the door.
I cannot take anymore.

Lalalalalala
Lalalalalalalalala

Image
02 ZEDAN SYKES - "SHOULD I GO?"
Tune: John.K - Runnin' (00:27 - 01:02)
You make it so difficult
I’m starting to think you don’t want me
That’s fine because I don’t want to be strung along

I am still gunning, vying, strug’ling to get you
Because you promise me - promised me the whole world
But I’m still waiting, contemplating - help me out?
Should I go?

Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019's indent showed up on the screen before panning over the audience who looked as though they had just enjoyed the performance from Zedan Sykes. James and Elias waited for the camera to reach them before they spoke.

James Edwards: That was Zedan Sykes with the song "Should I Go?" Fun fact for you, Elias, did you know that Zedan participated in the first ever Vha Mehlodhivestoile back in 2016?

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Oh, really?! Did he qualify?

James Edwards: *clenches teeth* Unfortunately not, but hopefully, this time he will be able to qualify which such a banging song! Am I right?

Elias nodded his head as the audience started to cheer for Zedan Sykes. James Edwards continued to speak...
James Edwards: We are now heading over to song #3 and song #4 of Vha Mehlodhivestoile's 2nd Semi-Final. Just to give you so background knowledge, back in 2017, Mehkl Maddox Ajax performed 3rd in Semi-Final 2 before going on to win the national final while Taron Woods performed 4th and went on win despite going to the Battle Stage.

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Rah! Can the next two follow Mehkl and Taron?

James Edwards: Well, let's have a see. We're going over to our third performer tonight, Zoe Wilkinson who will bring Spanish to Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019 for the first time. Good luck Zoe.

Image
03 ZOE WILKINSON - "MÍRAME"
Translation: Look At Me
Tune: Hanna Ferm - Never Mine (Audio) (00:36 - 01:04)
Chico, quítame las manos de encima.

¿Me quieres? Do you want me?
You show me no love,
Say no - no surprise.

Ojos aquí, oh mírame.
Sí, se nota que no me entiendes.

Boy, take my hands off me.

Do you love me? Do you want me?
You show me no love,
Say no - no surprise.

Eyes here, oh look at me.
Yes, it shows that you do not understand me.

Image
04 LUKE MARSHALL HUNTE - "ENGRAVED INTO MY MIND"
Tune: Robin Bengtsson - Dark Angel (Audio) (00:35- 01:03)
And you are always in my dreams -
You are in my subconscious.
No matter how hard I try,
I can’t erase you.

Engraved into my mind
There’s no way of erasing your existence
Oh no matter how hard I try.
Engraved into my mind
And you laugh at my attempts to forget you
Because you know I still love you

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Hey, it's us again. Thanks very much for the performance Luke! I still love you too!

James Edwards: Right, well I think we ought to swiftly move on to the next song by our international act Stacey Lekker with her song "Summerlights". I cannot wait for it!

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: And then we have Eleanora Buckingham who tried to qualify last year but wasn't successful.

Image
05 STACEY LEKKER - "SUMMERLIGHTS"
Tune: My Indigo - Someone Like You (Lyric Video) (00:39 - 01:04)

I just want to spend my time with you, nobody will stop us
Dancing with you.
Until the sun sets
Beautiful, beautiful
You are

Summerlights, Summerlights
Summerlights, ohhh

Image
06 ELEANORA BUCKINGHAM - "HOMETOWN"
Tune: Jenifer - Notre idylle (Clip officiel) (00:32 - 00:55)
I just want to go to my hometown,
The one that I left years ago.
Close to my heart

Years and years ago I left my home
I walked away
I’d never thought I’d regret it
Yes, I was so so wrong
It's the place that I only think of,
It’s the place that I’ve been dreaming of
It’s the place that I regret leaving,
It is my hometown.

Before we went to the penultimate act of the night, we were greeted by the hosts one more time. Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2019's indent showed on the television screen before it panned over the audience. James started to speak.

James Edwards: Thank you to the wonderful Eleanora Buckingham with her song, "Hometown"! What a lovely hommage to...well...her hometown!

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Time is definitely catching up on us and so I think it's best to go straight into the last two songs in our national final.

James Edwards: And neither of them are in English! We have a song, firstly, in Britonish - Jourdain is hoping to be the first one with Britonish in the Grand Final - and then we have French by boyband Armageddon. Last time French was in Vha Mehlodhivestoile...last year...it performed last in the Second Semi-Final and qualified...will Armageddon be so lucky?

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: Let's see...

Image
07 JOURDAIN CARTER - "SUPREH SALVAREUX"
Translation: Beyond Saving
Tune: Juice WRLD - Lucid Dreams (Dir. by @_ColeBennett_) (00:46 - 01:09)
Cy sawo vhe dusche conmreux par et (I can see the dead coming for me)
Conspiciese a’et ense par ma sel

I can see the dead coming for me
They stare at me hungry for my soul
I've tried to plead my case to them, I cried for mercy
I wouldn't have said anything if I thought it wouldn't do something

They came together
Oh, Lord, they surrounded me
I closed my eyes, they tore at me
Finally, I woke up but I
am one of them too
I am beyond saving...

Image
08 ARMAGGEDON - "TU ME TUES"
Translation: You Kill Me
Tune: Lawson - Juliet (00:36 - 01:06)
J’ai envie de toi
Et ouais je te vois dans mes reves
Yeah, everytime I dream.
Encore, e-e-encore!
Encore, e-e-encore!

Oh Saviez-vous que tu me tues?
Tu me tues a petit feu - yeah!
Je suis en train de tomber amoureux de toi
Tu me tues encore

I want you
And yeah I see you in my dreams
Yeah, everytime I dream.
Again a-a-again!
Again a-a-again!

Oh did you know that you kill me?
You kill me slowly - yeah!
I'm falling in love with you
You kill me again

Elias Auvergne-Lancey: And that rounds it all up for Semi-Final 2! You have heard most of the songs from this year's Vha Mehlodhivestoile. The votes are, of course, still open and will close after the interval act. First, let's have a recap!

The cameras backed away before cutting to the screen with the information for those voting at home...
