In 2019, Ostry sits at a crossroads. The popular Mark Amundsen is leaving his position of Regional Administrator, and the fight over whether to keep the Arctic island in Navack or grant it independence has once again emerged as the single most important topic this election cycle, as tensions between the Ostric and federal government have flared up. Will the centrist and unionist Progressive League continue its domination of Ostry, or will the small quiet island face a shakeup that could have lasting ramifications?
Explaining Ostry's Electoral System
The Regional Administrator is elected by plurality voting, in which the candidate with the most votes is elected, regardless of if they reach a majority. The regional election is, according to the Gardrag Agreement, held on the first Sunday of May every four years (meaning for the 2019 election, voting day will happen on May 5th).
The fifteen seats of the Regional Assembly are elected concurrently with the Regional Administrator by proportional representation. How many seats a party get is related to the results of the popular vote. Seats are allocated using the d'Hondt method.

Create a Candidate
Here, you can create a candidate to run in the upcoming election as either a candidate for Regional Administrator (think a U.S. governor) or as a candidate for the Regional Assembly.
NOTE: Due to Ostry's electoral system, independents can run for RA, but not for the Regional Assembly, as that is based off party lists.
