Pan-Asiatic Midterm Elections For The 12th State Congress of Soviets

With candidate registration having recently been closed, the roster having been released, and the official campaigning period about to begin; preliminary polling has taken place in the Pan-Asiatic States. While variance is expected when the voting actually happens, this guide aims to prepare you for the elections expected to take place in mid-November later this year as a release to an unofficial poll determining the Top 3 Most Popular Candidates Per State, of whom are likely to be introduced into the 12th State Congress of Soviets. On a local assembly, State District-Assemblies are also re-organizing their constituents; with some of the candidates below having been originated from those assemblies, and will be filing candidacy for transfer into the national congress.

We have included an overview of their political beliefs based on the candidate's own admission. Beside every candidate's name is the geographical label of their originating and registered
COMELEC-approved area. Some may originate from the same city, but from different districts. District-names are not mentioned in this list.

The Thread

The purpose of this thread is to promulgate the current rankings of candidacy, and for third party nations to voice their endorsement or condemnation of the candidates. You may also inquire about the platform of the candidates. Nation-maintenance narrative posts, such as speeches and accounts of the candidates, will also be posted here from time to time. The thread will be open from today until mid-November when the actual elections begin.

Note that the outcome of this thread may affect the personalities in-charge of the Federation, despite the ultimate decision of who gets elected being up to my discretion. As a proportional democracy, any one of these candidates may even, some day, rise to executive positions; and remember your remarks. I'll try to add certain dynamics which allow limited interaction to produce objective outcome, but again, please stray away from the irrational.

Mandaluyong, Neo-Manila
Tagalog Soviet Socialist Republic (TSSR)
Federated People's Republic of Pan-Asiatic States

"Imperyalismo, ibagsak!"

Neo-Sakdalistas shouted in the streets, wearing plaid khaki trousers, screaming those words in favor of what their movement had been calling for since earlier this year, a 'Second Cold War'. Economic managers, district personnel, retired gendarmerie officers, veterans of the Pacific Wars, custodians, teachers, even train operators-- all participated in the huge rally. They yelled at the top of their lungs from the high ledges of the skyscrapers on Emerald Street, in the Ortigas Business District; and from the riverside of purifiers and clean bridges. Men and women of all descent, and from all across the Federation stood proud, holding the flag of the Tagalog Soviet Socialist Republic, and even old standards of the pre-1991 revolutionary movements.

Towering above the mob, was Congressional candidate Julian Romero; a man of great renown. In a traditional Barong Tagalog, he cowered together with the mob.

Smash Imperialism! Cast out Americans! Abolish foreign trade for good!

They celebrated these magnificent words, which seemed to drip like honey from their boisterous jaws. It seemed that their platform had aged well, all too well. For here was a mob of all across the political spectrum. But would they fail like the Sakdalista movement of old, or rise to destroy the internationalist objectives which the government struggles to put into power, as they were?

Nonetheless, the afternoon heat did not seem to scorch the mob. It was almost parade like. Julian threw shirts to the masses who sided by his motorcade. They were on their way to Namayan Grandstand; where he was to address his masses. He had invited foreign journalists to the open event as well, and he was both eager and anxious to answer their questions.

A 30-something year old Brukean woman spoke up. "Kidan Zalelew, of the Dubian. Even though the Asian intervention in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has ended, the repercussions in the wider region are still unclear. Given this uncertainty, would you support further intervention by the States in the Middle East?"

Julian eagerly pondered the woman's inquiry. In a snap, he came up with a witty response, a people's response.

"The Middle-East is an untamed, hostile land barren of peace and democracy, order and justice. It is our responsibility, as proper Asians, to separate those who would deliver justice and sovereignty from those who would seek to serve their self interests. Ma'am, when we ourselves fought for our freedom in the Philippines, we were betrayed by individualists. Industrialists, blinded regionalists, feudalists, oligarchs who wanted to extend their influence or feed their diaspora-- you name it. And because of that, a noble cause was knocked-out and cast away forever.

Today, Socialism is a world power! We stand on the edge of victory. The Palestinian people need OUR support. The Zionists continue to take resources vital for the needs of the Palestinian proletariat, who, in all their life, has only labored to serve their people. The thieving--"

At this point, a bottle of whiskey was thrown at Julian. Distant shouting from a group of teenagers on the right-hand side of the stage to the extent of the words 'Nazi' and 'Fascist scum' ensues for a few minutes, until the gendarmerie escort them out of the establishment.

A murmur comes from Julian's mic, barely audible. But it almost sounded like, "Damned Anarchists", in a hissing and resenting voice.

A grizzled old member of the Qingdao Schutztruppen sauntered forward, wearing his old uniform.
"Wilhelm Sebastian Lin, Prussia-Poland, Qingdao. I know, I know, I'm a race traitor, yadda yadda yadda. But I believe that our respective countries can find common ground...namely in opposition to the Americans. What are your thoughts on this?"
"Furthermore, I submit that Carthage NSG must be destroyed." t. Marcus Porcius Cato

IC name is "Blauveldt-Ryszana".

A traumatized, but recovering, MT-Early PMT/FanT constitutional monarchy consisting of a personal and constitutional union of two Realms. Features: near-universal gun ownership, governmental dysfunction, terrified Christinaslander Air National Guard personnel counting down the days until they rotate back home, and an eternal standoff with the last of it's former oppressors.
