Viktor nodded in agreement, and then his stomach reminded him he needed food. "I have had a great time talking to you, but I must get some food before I starve." He called for the hostess, ready to order up some fish and chips.

Caja. Upperdeck, Hotel Restaurant.
I nodded. "That sounds actually like a plan.", I said and hoped for a waitress to come over quickly, "I have fun talking with you, too... would you like continue this conversation over dinner?"
I indeed enjoyed the conversation, it was a nice one.
I was a bit surprised that Viktor didn't pick up on the arrows and fast horses, many people did, but that was still to be seen. Maybe he first wanted to order something to eat before he moved to that tangent? Well, I would answer him. It was something, which I was actually quite proud of.
When the waitress came, I would order the fish dinner.

"Sure, why not?" Viktor said. The fish would be great of course, considering his experience so far.

"The food is the latter type. Our national dish itself is merely a stew of beef, potatoes and carrots. we do have state-run fast food chains were the 'grease', as we call it, is excellent when compared to others. Street food is also delectable, and has a wide variety.

Oakki and Finja

The couple listened to the offers. Finja was particularly interested in the culture of the country, as she had already received some impressions from her driver. She wanted to see what was and was not like the Elvish culture.
"I would like to accept the cultural offer," she told Oakki in her mother tongue.
Oakki nodded and turned back to the young lady: "culture and history, please"

Port Ember wrote:As Captain Connor was marching off back to his vessel, he was halted by the girl, who accepted his offer of a shared lunch, again in her horrid english. This made the captain smile softly, as he felt he could help this poor soul, even if it was just with a warm meal. He looked over at her as she started walking alongside him, attempting to hide the pity he felt for her in his dull eyes. They walked over to his vessel in silence, with the ambiance being set by the nearby seagulls, and ship's horns blowimg in the distance. When they reached the vessel, they boarded the vessel by walking on the rampart, where he extended his hand to the lassie.

Once they boarded his vessel, he motioned the lass to take a seat on a metal bench covered with an old sea weary sponge, at a table which was covered by a simple yet clean white tablecloth. This setup was located on the
bow of the vessel, and seemed to provide a good place to enjoy an outdoor meal.

While waiting for the lassie to take a seat, the Captain shouted loudly with his deep growling voice for someone named Maku to bring forth two lunch plates to the table. This definitely sounded like a stern command and not a request.

Philia followed the captain onto a ship that seemed to belong to him. At his behest, she sat down on a padded metal bench. The table and bench were at the bow of the ship, out in the open so Philia had a view of the sea. The ocean seemed infinite, but she knew that her homeland was somewhere out there and that she had crossed that distance. Philia thought of her family. Surely they had already noticed her absence and turned to the authorities. The police were probably looking for her all over the country, but they would not take Philia to her family, but to a rehabilitation center because she would be seen as a rebel. Even if a child is simply lost, they would do so. The authorities would do anything to prevent her from fleeing. Philia smiled to herself. If only they knew.

The captain called a person by the name Maku, which should bring plates.
"Thank you," Philia breathed in a weak, thin voice. "For the meal I mean".

The girl working the help-desk at the Tourism Office listened to the couple in front of her, first speaking in some sort of foreign tounge, after which the message was translated into english, stating that they wanted to embark on a cultural tour. The girl smiled softly before she told them that it was a smart choice, as their cultural tours were quite renowned. She continued to book them on the next bustour, which luckily and coincidently was only a few minutes away. After receiving payment from the couple, they were handed their tickets and shown where to wait - just outside the front door.

A few minutes later the bus halted in front of the door, allowing the coupe onboard, with a few other couples, individuals and small groups. The double decker bus was of a dark green colour and was roofless at the second level, which allowed uninterrupted views of the world as the tour continued.

Not long after the bus left, making use of the dedicated bus lanes, they arrived at the southern tip of the island, at a marvelous old harbor fort, named the Komodo Bay Fort. The tourists were informed that the fort was build by the Orcadian settlers when they colonised the islands, to defend the bay against enemy/pirate attacks. Of particular interest was the fact that the fort was never defeated in battle, despite the fact that the islands changed ownership numurous times.

They were also informed that although the Fort was open to the public, it was also in active use by the Port Ember Navy, as some rooms were used as offices for their Home Waters Defence Fleet, also known as the Dragon Flotilla. The tourists were given the oppertunity to enter the fort and explore its deep history.

Captain Connor noticed the girl staring intently at the beautifull open ocean, lost in thought. The captain smiled briefly, as the ocean was the place he chose as well to stare deeply into when he was lost in thought. The lassie broke the silence when she thanked the Captain for the food which did not yet arrive, and he responded with a small polite laugh, for a change and replied "Don't thank me yet lassie - ye don't even know if its good!" This was a simple joke, as he knew it would be good. The food was always good. The captain noticed a lot of emotion amd uncertainty in the girl's voice, and pitty started to creep into his old hard heart, yet before it could be visibly seen on his wrinkled face, a young lad appeared, almost running, with two plates of food.

The young lad, obviously named Maku from the prior exchange, was a young man, and could almost be seen as handsome, if it were not for his tough job choice. He was in his early twenties, and caucasian like all other native Port Emberians, yet a slight difference could be observed if one looked closely, some feint asian facial features were engrained on his young unshaven face.

As Maku placed the two plates down on the table - fresh fish, baked chips and a mixed green salad - one could see that Maku was obvioisly curious regarding the new guest onboard. The captian obviously sensed this, as he chased Maku off before he could even say a word.

As the captain started digging into his lunch, he spoke again, still in his unchangingly deep scruffy voice "Aye lassie, dig in. Hope ye enjoy and it fills ya!" He looked at her for a moment deeply, before again speaking "I'm Captain Connor by the way.. What be yer' name lassie?"

Philia blushed, realizing that it was strange to thank for the food before it got. Maku turned out to be a young man. When he brought the food and saw Philia, she began to smile at him. She thought he was pretty cute. The captain opened the meal. Philia took a bite and was amazed how good it tasted. It tasted so fresh and natural. In Sophistan, food was always a very specific mixture of chemicals. One did not buy single ingredients in the market, but whole, finished dishes. The diversity of choice in the sophistic markets was just a façade, since the meals were always the same mixture. So you can also buy fresh fish, baked chips and mixed green salad in Sophistan, but this was just chemistry, which possessed by taste enhancers and aesthetic aids the shape and taste of this dish. The mix was designed so that the food was always balanced and you ate all the ingredients your body needed.
The captain introduced himself as Captain Connor anf asked Philia for her name.
"My name is Philia," she said. "Philia Floros. I am from the Epistocratic Confederation of Sophistan"

Joani, on que stood up and walked over to Ian and took possession of the small black box which contained the ceremonial scissors. Afer taking possession of the box, she offered the Prime Minister a soft bow in respect, constantly smiling as her green eyes sparkled from the indoor lights. She started walking to the outside, next to her husband the President, who in turn was alongside the Prime Minister. They walked out first, in front of the gathered crowd inside, as custom dictated, all the while being filmed from the media in attendance. When the trio reached the outside, they gathered at the ceremonial red ribbon, awaiting the rest of the crowd to gather.

Orcadian Embassy - cutting the ribbon ceremony
As the Emberan officials made their way to the ribbon, Ian Gordon, Nick Warszinski and the rest of the Orcadian followed along, closely followed by Penny and Evan however rather than taking their position in full view of the press, Penny and Evan stood to the side. They had a view of the going on but were trying to keep away from the press, they after all have a job to do and don't really like the idea of being followed everywhere by a bunch of paparazzi!

At the ribbon however, Nick stood to one side of Joani, Ian Gordon stood next to president Flint and there they waited for Joani to begin the ceremony of the cutting of the ribbon. As that went on, Penny was focused on the ambient sounds of Port Ember, her eyes scanning the area, something that since being badly shot up she seems to do more and more, often without realising she is doing it.

"Whats up Penn?" asks Evan

"nothing, its okay" came a reply from Penny in a quiet voice. "anyway, I think they're about to cut the ribbon"

Kevin Lee - F.E.B. Safe House - Suburbia

Although he had said 30 minutes, Kevin managed to reach the Suburbia safehouse from the hotel in just under 25 minutes in his Cadillac. As he pulled up to the safe house, he got out of the car and walked up to the door and knocked. Before he could even knock a second time, the door swung open and Audrey stood before him wearing a modest blue dress and looking at him with eyes filled with murderous hatred. Her left hand shot out and grabbed his tie and with all her strength she yanked him towards her while cocking her right arm for a haymaker. Kevin was momentarily caught off guard but could see what was about to happen and decided to roll with the punch when it came directly aimed at his jaw. Had he not quickly relaxed his facial muscles, he could have very easily broken his jaw. Instead it only hurt like hell.

"FUCK, Ow... yeah... I deserved that..."

"..."

Breathing heavily, Audrey could only look at Kevin with contempt for a moment as he rubbed where she had just punched him.

"So, does this make us even? I mean you violated my privacy first with putting that worm on my computer... I was simply returning the favor..."

"Kevin, you're a fucking pervy slimeball!"

"Slimeball... yes, perv... debatable. You were the one who intruded into my private affairs first."

"Well it's my job!"

"Well it doesn't appear as if you're currently on the clock so how about that coffee?"

"...fine. Come on in but let me get ready."

With that, Kevin followed Audrey into the house and took a seat in the sparse living room while she quickly went about finishing getting ready. The last thing she did before walking towards the door was to grab her pistol off the counter and slip it into the leg holster under her dress. With that, Kevin walked her out to his car and they got in.

"Where to Drey?"

"I don't know... I saw a place called the Cutlass last night, that might be an interesting place to go to."

With that, Kevin and Audrey sped off towards the Cutlass restaurant.

The captain smiled as Philia gave her name. He liked it, as it was beautifull amd had an innocent ring to it. Much like the appearance of the girl it belonged to. When Philia mentioned that she was from the Epistocratic Confederation of Sophistan, the pieces clicked together in his mind. He visisted the Confederation once in his younger years during a smuggling job.. He did not remember much about that trip - except that he hated it. The country treated their citizens as slaves and less than human and stood for everything which Port Emberians loathed. The girls escape and desperate measures and situation all made sense to the old captain now, and the pitty he felt for her intensified. He instantly made a decision, which he knew was unlike him, as he always attempted to stay away from drama, but he felt compelled to act in this case.

He looked at her with pity before speaking "I see.. Well its nice to meet ya Philia. I have been to yer homeland once a long time ago.. You were smart to come here. The taste of freedom will be sweet on your young tounge..

Listen girlie - I will do ya one last favour.. I am going to call a.. acquintance of mine - a young lass herself. She owes me a favour, and will abide by what I ask of her. She will take ya under her wing, show ye how life here works.. Ensure ye have a roof and a full belly and coin to spare. Does this sound like a offer you could accept?"

Greater Orcadian Embassy - Lilly Black Borough

The bustling activity of the crowds inside the embassy grounds were constantly filmed and snapped with camera's while the ribbon cutting ceremony was awaited. Luckily for Penny and Evan, none of these specifically solely focussed on them. Which is not to say that a quick glimpse or two did not catch them! A glimpse which was broadcasted on live TV, which was observed carefully by certain people - in particular Jolene Gudfrey, who happens to be their employer..

When all was in place, Joani removed the ceremonial scisssors from the box Ian had provided her, and handed the empty case to PM Ian. When she was saitisfied that the crowd was silent enough, she spoke with a sweet but audible voice "Ladies & Gentleman of the Glorious Repuplic of Port Ember, and our newest friends of Greater Orcadia - The Greater Orcadian Embassy.. is now OPEN!" She cut the ribbon immediately, to the applause of the crowd. Imediately the ceremonial playing of the National Salute took place, with the hoisting of the flags of the two nations.

Oakki and Finja

The young lady gave the couple the tickets for the tour. They went outside and a few minutes came a double-decker bus. Oakki and Finja sat on the upper floor to enjoy the view. The bus drove her to an old fortress, which was presented as Komodo Bay Fort.
It was declared that the fortress was built by the colonists to protect themselves from pirates (and never lost).
"Pirates!" Finja spoke to Oakki. "Can you imagine how they fussed around here?". Finja herself loved movies and the cinema, which is why she was quite tempted by the idea of pirates.
"I know what you're thinking," said Oakki, smiling. "Do you remember when you performed The Flying Dutchman?"
Finja was a singer in a music theater and once played Senta in the Flying Dutchman. That was one of her favorite roles. Although Draycora and the Elves have a great seafaring history, these are always explorations. The country was a long way from piracy. There was once an Elvish pirate captain, he was named "Hakaari El Noble". However, the historical person is only vaguely known and enveloped by myths and legends. He also emigrated, which is why his actions showed outside of Draycora. When it was said that they were allowed to enter the fortress, Oakki and Finja were immediately in place.
They entered the fortress.

Komodo Bay Fort
Oakki and Finja

As the tourists entered the fort, they were met and led by a tour guide. They were given a brief history of the fort by the young suit dressed man

"The fort was constructed by the orcadian settlers immediately after they wrested control of the islands from the Port Ember Kingdom. Interesting to note, the last king was executed on this very hill where the fort was later constructed..

The fort was build in response to constant pirate raids from dissatisfied natives, in opposition to the Orcadian settlers. Many years later, the fort was eventually abondoned by the Orcadian garrison as the local governance collapsed due to corruption, economical hardship due to continued pirate raids and plague. When the local governance collapsed, the island once more ascended into anarchy, and the fort was taken over by a native pirate, and offered the bay protection against european navies, allowing the island to run independant for a few years..

The Orcadian's decided years later to recapture the islands, and managed to do so without a fight, as the Fort owner was bribed to allow safe passage into the harbour by the Orcadians. The Orcadians decided to make a final statement that piracy and lawlessness would not be tolerated, and many pirate captains were hanged on the first day of being back in control - including the captain who allowed the Orcadians in. They were all hanged to death within this very fort.. The Orcadians also decided to make a very specific statement by capturing Captain Lilly Black - a very famed and loved pirate captain at the time - and making a viscious example of her.. The Orcadian's stripped her naked, and walked her through the streets of the town, continiously allowing her to be badly beaten and raped by the orcadian soldiers - all in the streets. When they arrived with Captain Black at the fort, barely clinging to life - they chopped her up limb for limb, and continued to set her remains on fire, burning as a grim beacon on the forts walls - as a warning to the populace. Unfortunately for the Orcadian's, this act was just too much to accept, and the entire populace revolted and slaughtered the entire orcadian force, alnogside the newly arrived governer in the towns streets. They empty fort was once again manned by the pirates -and sank the 7 anchored Orcadian warships. This is known as the Black Incident.

The island was then ruled by a consortium of pirates, named the Copperbeard Consortium, which ruled over the islands for more than 100 years, where the fort played a massive role im fighting off european ships to ensure the islands remains independant.

The islands were eventually recaptured by the Orcadians, over a 100 years later. This time however, the Orcadians did not make the mistake again to anger to populace, who steadily endured their new governers.

The fort shot its last shots in anger during the second world war, when it sank a german warship who attempted to blockade the port.

In 1950, the fort once again was used to flame the spirir of independance, when the Port Emberian government signed the decleration of independance within this halls. The first Port Emberian flag was hosted from its walls seconds later."

The tourists were taken through the fort, shown the rooms which still maintained the original furniture and styles, with the exception of the modern navy offices offcourse.

The tour ended with the tourgroup standing on the fort walls - overlooking the famous port below.

Viktor Venediktov, Upperdeck Hotel

Viktor's eyebrow raised when Caja whispered too him. What do you mean by that? He asked himself Your thinking too much into it. His mind told him. Viktor continued "On the topic of tea or coffee, we are more biased towards coffee which mostly comes from private and state growers in the Helenikil Province. The preferred 'poison' is vodka, but bourbon is a close second. Karevkans, men and women alike, like their spirits hard. In terms of sweets milk chocolate is the norm but stuff like licorice, cookies and donuts are common too."

"The taste of freedom will be sweet on your tongue", that captain's metaphor was somehow spellbound for Philia. She thought about freedom. Now she would be able to go wherever she wanted. Now she would be able to wear what she wanted. Now she could be who she wanted. No guards who watch and persecute her. But what should she do now? The life of the sophists was always planned, now Philia would have to plan for herself. Was she even able to do that and where should she start? When that question came to her mind, the captain suggested that he introduce her to a friend. When that question came to her mind, the captain suggested that she introduce her to a friend.

Philia smiled kindly at the captain, "That would be great, I can use any help I can get, of course I'll try to give it back as soon as I can." She thought for a moment and realized that this was their first time to own property could. She was very excited now, but she got a bit scared and swallowed.
"Is ... is life hard here?" She asked the captain. In Sophistan, one heard about free market economies that one only lived to work and satisfy the desires of a capitalist. She hated the propaganda of her country, but something did not let her go.

The captain was pleased when the girl joined the conversation in earnest, and he noticed that she had a sweet pleasing voice. He also noticed that her english sounded legions better than before. He contributed her previous poor tounge on nerves and starvation. Or perhaps she pretended, to ensure a certain degree of pity, as a defence mechanism. He smiled softly, realising that the girl would adopt easily in her new world.

Upon being asked whether life was hard in Port Ember, he frowned slightly, delving deep into his memories, as this was not something one would think about normally, you just keep going.. He thought about his many years at sea - it was certainly not easy work. His body was rock hard and tainted from the years labour, and covered with scars and calouses. But as he thought deeper, he realised that although he had a dangerous and tough living, his large comfortabale home and satisfied wife and kids was the result of his hard work. He also thought of the thousands of millionares on the island who merely used their brains for work. He even thought of his smuggler days, when his pockets were filled to the brim, and drugs and girls in his arms. After much thought he finally replied "Life has ups and downs lassie. No life here is without hardship AND prosperity. One thing is for sure - nowhere on earth does one's own actions determine ones future like it does here on the islands. You will soon learn that 'work hard; play hard' is a life lesson and not just a catchy saying.."

Penny and Evan, like everyone else stood proud as the ceremonial salute was played, as did ministers, heads of state and diplomatic staff from Greater Orcadia, even Wallace had wandered down to see what all the fuss was about, taking time to lie down aside the wall watching the crowd. With the flags raised, the tables were being set up, for those who could stay had a banquet to look forwards to, and probably press photographing them.

Nick Warszinski made his way back inside with Prime Minister Ian Gordon, chatting as they walk with Penny and Evan somewhere behind as the aroma of the banquet gently wafts through the hall.

"Hows you feeling Penn?" asks Evan,
"meh..." replies Penny, feeling not so much physical discomfort but a social discomfort as Penny likes to do her own thing, she is as could say the black sheep of the family, liking to do her own thing and she doesn't care much for politics (but does admit having a diplomatic passport has its advantages), "...I can't wait for returning to work tomorrow sometime, thats why I won't be drinking"

"Well Nick, tonight I will be heading back to Edinburgh, There is much to be done back home, however its good to see relations improving" comments Ian to Nick.

"well it will be a long flight, Penny came by sea, took her and Evan best part of a month to get here, crossing first the Atlantic, then driving across the states to catch another ship, and now we have made this place our home, and hopefully the locals will take to the Embassy" replies Nick, "oh by the way, Who is going to win the soccer this season?"

"aye Nick, that'll be Midlothian, you should know that Nick!" jokes Ian, a big Midlothian supporter!

Oakki and Finja

"The fortress really had extremely many owners over time," Oakki began the conversation as he and Finja stood on the fortress wall, looking down at the harbor. "And it's still working after all."
"Yes, but the many battles, so much fight," Finja answered. "Considering that Draycora has never been involved in a war since its inception".
"For this we would first need a military," said Oakki mockingly.
Due to the fact that Draycora had never fought in a war, since its inception, over time, the military has been dismantled. In the mid-1970s it was completely dissolved. The Principality has defense agreements with other friendly nations, so Draycora shares the military with them, and Elves who seek to train soldiers can make it to a military of these nations. In addition, municipalities and counties are allowed to arm private armies to defend their dominions.
"Maybe Draycora was just more pacifist than Port Ember, so they've seen their king executed in this place," Finja went on. "Why did not you keep the royal house?"
"Yes, and it democratizes," Oakki was looking for the young guide of the tour. "Maybe we can ask him a few questions".
Now it has to be understood that the elves are quite proud of their monarchy of elections, and Draycora sees it as a considerable achievement that democracy and monarchy have been so harmoniously united.
In the Principality, the head of state is indeed a monarch (The Prince), but he is directly elected.

Port Ember wrote:The captain was pleased when the girl joined the conversation in earnest, and he noticed that she had a sweet pleasing voice.

Philia sighed but then started to smile.
"That relieves me a little," she said. "I was aware that one does not get happiness and prosperity bestowed. That would make them worthless anyway. In my home country, however, the freedom is poorly spoken. It is called a false virtue and it is said that it causes one to leave all human beings for the sole purpose of ensuring existence. At home my whole life has been planned: what to eat, what to wear, what to weigh, even when to wash" .
Her voice became now a little sadder and shaky.
"I just want to start anew, as an individual and as a reaping of my own fruits".
She looked at the captain now.
"That's why I'm really grateful for the offer", now her contours softened, her smile grew warm and her eyes became shiny.

Greater Orcadian Embassy

As the General Salute's final notes faded, the invited guests continued to move back inside of the building. The President walked over to the First Lady and gave her a quick peck kiss, while quickly whispireng into her ear "Great job my love." The press in attendance offcourse did their best to capture the kiss on camera, as it would make a good front page.. The nation and its media has always admired the love between their leader and his wife, and have labeled them 'Port Ember's Sweathearts'.

Edward walkked back inside the embassy with Joani in hand, walking past Wallace, with Edward whispering to Joani whilst looking at the comfortable cat 'Look at em' cheeky bastard..', which made Joani chuckle softly.

Once inside, the couple approached Penny & Evan, offering their greetings. The President quickly folowed through. "I have heard you two have arrived recently on the islands, but have opted to not come and live the life of milk and honey within the embassy, but instead a life of labour?" He let a beat pass, smiling broadly "Such determination for personal liberty is extremely admirable. With such a mindset, you will have an extremely prosperous life here.." Joani smiled and nodded in agreement before Edward continued "Furthermore I heard you have gained employment from the prestigious Gudfrey's. Thats a solid way to oppertunity! I also happen to be close personal friends with your employer." Joani attempted to hide the fact that she was secretly rolling her eyes.

The tour guide smiled softly before responding "Good question! Simply put, after the king was executed, the remainder of the royal family fled and went into hiding. They dissapeared from the face of the known earth, so they could not be reinstated during the pirate uprising.. besides the pirates who took control did not believe in kings and queens, as they were the source of all which was wrong with the world in their opinions, instead ruling the nation as part of consortium. And after the pirates were subdued by the Orcadian's, we only gained independance in 1950, by which time the memory of nobles were long lost, and the pirate spirit remained within the nation, believing in Republican values, all men equal and such. Thus a royal house was just never on the minds of our folk.. I am open for any further questions ladies & gentleman!"

The captain felt a strong sense of disgust and hatred to Philia's home nation as she told him of her life back home. It was nations like that which inspired Port Emberian's to rebel and pirate against the crown powers all those years ago. However as the lassie visibly perked up, he did not want to sour the mood, so he forced a smile before speaking "Well lassie there is no place on earth where you can be yourself more than here. You will soon discover yourself, and have a great time doing so!"

He quickly grabbed his cellphone and furiousy typed a message, placing it down on the table when he was done .

I informed the lass to come here. She won't be long dearie - then your life will finally begin.

Philia was glad when the captain told her this. Now she got the feeling that she will now have it pretty easy to get used to the new way of life. "I'm glad your girlfriend is so open-minded," said Philia. "It's good to have a mentor, can you tell me a bit about her?"

Penny & Evan - Orcadiam Embassy
When the President and first lady came over to Penny and Evan, it was a bit of a surprise but they answered with respect
"Mr President, First lady, thats right, we arrived the other day on a vehicle carrier to begin work..." commented Penny, with all expected and due respect, she was certainly polite with her voice having that evident Highland twang with a hint of Calfornian in there."...you see, Ive always fancied making my own journey and so we hope to have a prosperous one, we have quite a bit invested in our stay here, when we landed, once everything was in order we put our names out at the harbour an Gudfrey's came calling. Tomorrow we will be working hopefully either on Containers or fridge and hopefully seeing the islands" replied Penny, as she spoke and gestured with her hands, her cybernetic arm whirred .

Evan listenned closely, "so, Mr President, may I ask, how did you come to know Gudfrey's ?" he asks, again with a polite tone as Wallace made his way over to Penny and started to circle her legs

The captain laughed when Philia implied that Emily was his girlfriend. There was no romantic chemistry between the two of them, far from it. Besides the massive age difference, their relationship was a pure professional one, and the captain actually wished to distance him from her. The lass was still too young and ruthless for his old bones, and he wanted a way out of the 'life' which Emily represented.

"She is definitely not my girlfriend lassie. She is sort of my former business partner. She does owe me a favour, which is what I am calling upon to take you under her wing. I am not willing to divulge to much of her personal life and history, that you will need to learn yourself. I dont want to taint her image from you before you get to know her yourself.. I am willing to divulge however, that she is young and beautifull, much like yourself.." The captain paused to flash a soft smile at Philia "She is also a passionate, smart and hard working survivor. She will make the perfect mentor for ya'.. That lass has been to hell and back and just keeps growin' stronger."

Orcadian Embassy - Lilly Black Borough

The president listened attentively to Penny while she spoke and tried not to stare at her robotic arm. He admired her courage to continue forcing their own way when a easier life was available. This couple showed true Port Emberian spirit and guts, although not being Port Emberians!

When asked how he came to know Jolene Gudfrey, the president responded "Well the lassie grew up in front of my eyes, as I am old time friends with her father, José Gudfrey, our Minister of Trade & Industry. You will find that most powerfull business folks on the island knows each other, as we all share the same passion and drive for success.."

Joani cood at the apparant cuteness of Wallace and paid close attention to his antics around Penny's feet.

Viktor Venediktov, Upperdeck Hotel

Viktor cleared his throat and tried his best "The Helenikili Province is a tiny patch of land. In terms of landmass it's about four Korodvinsks put together and in that space are 11,000 foot mountains crowned in mist and capped with snow, winding streams that are either crystal clear blue that allows you to see the beautiful fish or murky brown which conceals crocodiles reaching up to 19 feet in length, thick jungles teeming with all the sounds of many critters including spiders the size of your hand (Viktor waved his hand to demonstrate), quaint little towns with one family diner and a single one-story inn and the most important of all of these, even more so than the lumber, fish and gold dust is the cocoa and coffee plantations up in the foothills. These foothills are the last stop shall we say before you hit the mountains and range in height from 100 to 3600 feet and many small communities have became wealthy from the beans grown on terraced plantations. Another, more strange, attraction are the "Valley Remains" a collection of ancient overgrown structures situated in the Laganip Valley. These "Remains" seemingly popped out of thin air ten years ago and has been declared a Karevkan Heritage Site. The structures themselves are covered with plants, and the still standing buildings are either rusted metal or cracked concrete with strange drawings etched in." He had tried his best to be "colourful" and he knew he could do better.
