O'Malley's Tavern
Kiana with James

James let out a small almost unnoticable laugh when Kiana made him wait a moment before accepting his request - the flirt process was a friendly game and he knew it. Once one party shows immediate interest, the game was lost. And he hated an easy battle..

"One for the road - but not the last!", she said with a grin as her reply to his request. "Oi aren't you a cheeky one! Dancin with me is a privelage that needs to be earned!" he replied jokingly.

James smiled. He loved to dance and he was good at it. He grew up in this tavern and on the brewery down south. Pub dancing was as part of daily life just as good beer was for the docks folk.

He took her hand gently, and pulled her against him. His one hand firmly on her hip and the other hand had his fingers interwined with Kiana's. His grip was firm yet gentle. His warrior body had the strength of a beast, yet he knew how to control it.

He led the dance on the wild folk-rock song playing loudly. This song was faster paced than their previous encounter. His body gave over control to the magic of the music, and his body followed in the form of dance. The pairs impressive pace and calculated steps immediately drew attention, the patrons all lookin on at the duo, clapping hands and cheering.

Port Ember Megalopolis Aerospace
Hauptmann Meyer
February 20th, 2019.

The Hauptmann nodded to captain Killpatrick. "I'll get my men onto your LVs, but we're probably going to need two of them, as I don't think one would suffice in terms of space. Either way, captain Killpatrick, I'll get my men mounted on your trucks. Let's get this show on the road!" he said, in that enthusiastic, unexperienced young voice of his, with an incredibly strong German accent. He turned his back on the captain, and shouted towards the plane at the top of his lungs: "1. Zug, Antreten!" the men made their way down to their platoon leader in a relatively slow and lazy manner, and the Hauptmann told them:

"Setzen Se' sich auf dem LKW dort. Wir machen 'n kleinen Ausflug." The men quickly responded to the order by getting onto the vehicles, and getting their equipment laid down before their feet. The Hauptmann then turned to captain Killpatrick. "Thank you very much for your help, captain." He saluted him before taking out a packet of cigarettes and throwing it at his men, who brawled over the packet for a solid minute. He casually laughed while walking past them, and got in the passenger seat in first of the two trucks, where he smiled at a Port Embrian driver before looking out the window and watching the beautiful landscape.

Caja. O'Malley's, with Tim.
"Not only Every Timmy deserves to dream.", she said to her taxi driver and, she would say, by now a friend, "I would still love to read your stories one day. I am sure, that the brave taxi driver saving Port Ember from the evil global mafia conglomerate and getting his girl would make one nice story."
She let a beat pass, smiling teasingly.
"Question is, though, how would the girl look?", she asked to tease.

Kiana. O'Malley's, at the bar.
Kiana let him, again, lead and she did not rue it for one moment.
He was good and under his leadership, they put a dance onto the floor, which felt awesome! His strong hands gently on her hips and his fingers entwined with hers, the music... it felt a bit like a drug!
And when they were finished, Kiana rose to the tip of her toes, softly pressing her lips onto his cheeks.
"This one's for the road.", she explained to him and then stepped back.
Whatever would come now, it was his time to show initiative.

Freistaat Hannover Diplomatic Mission, With PESF Escort

Captain Killpatrick looked at the "savages" in front of him as they were scrabling for a packet of smokes thrown at them by their Hauptmann (he was told that a Hauptmann is equal to his own captain rank during the briefing). He believed from what he could see that these men - and their Hauptman, has never seen combat. And now he - the famous Captain Killpatrick was stuck babysitting them. He cussed internally at Army politics and vowed to get back into a combat unit as soon as possible.

He stood by and watched as everyone climbed on the trucks, and finally got into the lead Armored Personnel Carrier. He 'climbed on the radio' to follow procedure.

"All Stations, this is One One - report March Ready - over."

The replies flowed quickly and on point:

"One One, One One Alpha. Vehicle Inspection Complete, all doors secured, weapon stages as ordered, Flesh Packages secured - One One Alpha March Ready."

"One One"

"One One, One One Bravo. Vehicle Inspection Complete, all doors secured, weapon stages as ordered, Log Packages secured - One One Bravo March Ready."

"One One"

"One One, One One Charlie. Vehicle Inspection Complete, all doors secured, weapon stages as ordered, Your 6 is clean and secure - One One Charlie March Ready."

"One One copy. All stations - March Orders:

Following Distance - 25.

Tim blushed slightly. Was she actually flirting? With him? No he thought. That cannot be. He was mistaken.. 'Ol Timmy was a hopeless romantic and always screwed up his chances by being over eager. And besides.. she was gorgeous.. and Timmy was just.. Timmy.. Get it together Tim!

Once Tim finished scolded himself in his mind he replied:
"Tim the Hero aye?" He laughed. "That would be pretty awesome. Tim the Mafia Slayer - would make a great title to a book! As for the girl? Would probably be some gorgeous redhead babe.. ya know the hero's always gets a gorgeous redhead babe.." he rolled his eyes in innocence.

James had a big smile after he received a small cheeky cheek kiss from Kiana. She was a great dancer and he was very impressed. She did not even know the dance style but she kept up with the best. Theres few things in this world as beautifull as a women who knows how to use her body like that..

"Aye I can live with that road food.." He moved closer to Kiana, and gave her a friendly hug. He still smelled like the sweet but faint aftershave he used this morning - his peak fitness did not allow him a single drop or smell of sweat even in this heat and activities. "Tis' was an honor meeting you Mi'Lady, and an honor to dance with you" he released the hug, and gave her hand a soft gentlemanly kiss followed by a slight bow.

He literally changed from a wild dock cultured passionate 'animal', to a complete gentleman in an instant. Two sides to a coin..

"Myself and Kyle needs to go and attend some errands.. We will however be continuing our celebrations tonight at the Malibu.. I'll see you there at 8.." He threw a cheeky wink at Kiana.

45 Sola Street

Lex, after receiving confirmation from the Gudfrey, put down his phone and took another shot from his kvass. Having some extra time on his hands, he went on his computer and decided to look into Azula. He had not really talked to the man that much, and they had never met in person. The only time they had interacted was for the delivery of large amounts of Ukraniumstan contraband. He logged in to his computer, and after passing through the TOR browser and passing through several back channels, he was on the ASTE contraband trading manifest.

He chuckled to himself. In Ukraniumstan, you would be allowed to even touch the stuff that they were trading, much less sell it on an international level. However, in Port Ember, they could manufacture the product in one of Ukraniumstan's many illegal warehouses in the southern Caucasus and western Kazakhstan, and then transport, launder, and sell it to the many buyers here. It was a dream come true for people like Armitage and Skoropadsky, who are in charge of all trade and business dealings between Port Ember and Ukraniumstan, legal and illegal.

He read through some of the items in the manifests. They ranged from things like jewelry, illegal supercars, and even unofficial uranium to the more, "special clients". Then, a thought came to his mind. It was no secret even in the business world that Azula and the young Gudfrey CEO, Jolene Gudfrey, absolutely hated each other, so a deal like this wouldn't make her happy. Luckily, he and Jolene had relatively good relations, as Armitage had worked under her for a long time, building trust allowing for them to proceed with their trade as long as they did not interfere with her.

This particular deal worried him slightly, however, as this sort of arrangement was usually done by proxy, not in person. He took a breath and relaxed. He still had about 5 hours before the ship arrived and the transaction would take place. He sent Mark a message confirming the deal, and then exited the study and went downstairs, hungry.

His personal chef, a native Embrian called Johnny, had made him a rather nice and modest business lunch, consisting of black pudding, Embrian stew, and Embiran soda bread, with a nice glass of Ukranian kvass to go with it. Even though Lex loved the local brews and spirits, he still preferred to have kvass, especially at noon. He called the food "business lunch" because not only was it modest, but Johnny made it with special herbs like Maca root and other additives to increase his energy for the day, amongst other things.

After finishing, he called his chauffeur Malinkov, a Georgian, to take him to his company headquarters at the Docks. On the way there, he decided to make a call to a certain Embrian capo...

"Hey, Seamus? Yeah, it's me. I want four of your saldatos to do some security work down at the Docks in four hours. I will provide the location and payment details once you rounded up a crew. Alright, get it done"

He hung up, turning to look out of the window of his Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe at the neighborhood. Suburbia was always very busy, especially during the midday. The traffic was unusually calm during the midday today, so they reached the Docks very quickly. He exited the car and made his way to the ASTE Company HQ, passing by the Gudfrey Trading Company HQ.

As he was walking, he got a call from Seamus...

"Hey Lex. I got those four guys you wanted. They will be hanging out and waiting for your call. The payments will be handled by me. I sent some info on these boys, see if they are up to your standards. See ya."

He hung up, and Lex looked at the men. These were standard Embrian muscle, with relativley clean records. Exactly what he needed. Lex forwarded the payment to Seamus, and the location to the soldatos.

Port Ember Docks, Passenger Terminal

Regina Vásquez

A petite brunette woman walked through the passenger terminal at the Port Ember Docks, having just debarked from her ferry and cleared passport control.

This was Regina Vásquez, a commander of the Policía Nacional (national police of the P.U.S.). The daughter of a restaurant owner and teacher, Regina first joined the force in 2002, a decision triggered by the tragic death of her childhood best friend at the hands of a drunk driver. She proved herself to be a fair, approachable and hardworking officer who quickly gained the trust and respect of the people she served. Steadily rising up the ranks, in 2019 she was appointed as the Dirigente (commander) of the Roads & Highways Division, by a personal order from President Valencia herself.

As much as she loved her job, Regina still needed to wind down and take a break sometimes. Back at her home town of Punta del Este, a commercial on the radio had piqued her interest. It was an advertisement by a ferry line offering tickets to a place called Port Ember. Regina had never heard of that place before—in fact, she had not even seen all of her own nation yet, given its vast area. But after doing a bit of research, she was delighted to learn that Port Ember was as liberal, if not more, as the P.U.S. on many things like guns and weed. This, she thought, would be the perfect destination for her well-deserved break.

Moving over to the side, as to not impede the never-ending stream of people, Regina sat down against a wall and pulled out her phone. No signal, it displayed. That's OK, she thought. I can always get a SIM later. There's gotta be a place selling them. Putting the phone back in her purse, she then ran her fingers over a firm object on her waist—her trusty little revolver. While she had no reason to expect that she would ever have to use it, the weapon was Regina's "lucky charm" and she could not bring herself to part with it. That was a sentiment shared by the majority of South Americans ... and apparently Port Ember too, seeing as how she made it through immigration without any hassle. But just in case, she had obtained a carry permit prior to traveling—one was not needed in the P.U.S.

Next, Regina reached into her purse again and fished out the confirmation for her hotel booking. She would be staying at the Wheelhouse Hotel, a 3-star inn that was reportedly quite popular with locals and tourists. Although the Upperdeck provided more upscale accommodations, the former cost less and was still a nice place according to reviews and pictures she found online.

With the hotel confirmation in hand, Regina walked out of the passenger terminal building and towards the taxi stand to wait for a cab. Immediately, she felt like she was stepping into an oven, because of the hot 35° weather. Good thing I wore this, she thought, looking at her own bikini. In an attempt to lessen the sweltering heat, Regina folded the piece of paper and used it to fan her face.
This nation is getting a complete makeover. Facts and policies posted before 2019 are NOT accurate.

Caja smiled.
If she was honest with herself, she was toying a bit with him, friendly teasing him - him and her, that would never turn out good for anyone involved. But still... she let him dream and laughed at his description of the 'gorgeous redhead babe' and his eye roll.
"Though, does Tim the Mafiaslayer like her because of her looks and does she like him only because of him being an awesome hero?", she further teased, "Or is there more?"

Kiana. O'Malley's, at the bar.
Kiana was a bit surprised by the hug, but let him do. She would lie, if she said, that she did not appreciate it. It was a hug from a tall, wide-shouldered, strong man.
The kiss on her hand made her giggle, though. Indeed - two sides of a coin.
Luckily, he had not yet seen her other side.
"Maybe.", Kiana replied to his invitation, grinning herself. "See ya in any case!"

Port Ember Docks
Regina Vásquez

Jimmy O'Car was smoking a cigarette whilst leaning against his olive green Taxi. He was parked in a 'Taxi Only' parking spot just outisde the Passenger Terminal at the Port Ember Docks. He liked hanging out here to look for new passengers. Foreigners came to Port Ember en masse due to the ease of entering the country, and many did so on a whim - no planning ahead. So they were normally stuck without transport once in-country. And here was Ol' Jimmy boy to the rescue.. And it was easy to overcharge a fresh foreigner. Its all about the coin after all..

Jimmy noticed a neat little piece of meat exit the terminal, using some piece of paper as a fan.."aah must be a fresh foreigner.." he thought to himself. She was obviously not used to the heat, and had that 'everything is new' look.

Jimmy whistled loudly from accross the road to gain her attention. Once she looked at him, he shouted in a friendly tone "Taxi??"

O'Malley's Tavern

Tim blushed. He was certain she was just toying with him. He knew he stood no chance with this.. Babe.. but this was harmless fun right?

Tim blushed lightly. "Thats a good question. The tellie always shows the hero gettin' the gorgous babe after shooting up the place. Which never made sense to me.. My ma' used to beat me with a darn wooden spoon - nearly to death when I got into a fight with the lads in the neighborhood.. So dont see the romance in all that.." Tim had a puzzled look, thinking hard about the real truths of this world.

Kiana with James

James laughed. His cocky personality was back. He walked over to Georgie and gave his father a hug and a kiss on his cheek. He whispered something into his father's ear, to which Georgie nodded. James grabbed his younger brother on his arm and gave him a look. Kyle immediately understood what his brother wanted and let out a soft whistle. The effect was clear. The soldier group all downed their remaining beers and headed for the door in unison.

As James walked towards the door he looked at Kiana "Malibu Club.. 8'o Clock.. dont be late" He winked and laughed. Within seconds James, Kyle and the other soldiers was out of the door.

There was hope with the lad, that much was true, but... just not hope with her.
"Hm..." Caja made, wondering herself, "Maybe they've known each other for a while now and faced with the danger of a Mafia Syndicate out for his head, he finally confesses, that he likes her - and surprisingly, she does not refuse, but instead hugs and kisses him. And telling him, that they'll have a date, three days later, and that he shouldn't dare to be late because of any injuries."
She shrugged.
"Of course, she likes roses, too, so...", she said.

Kiana. O'Malley's, at the bar.
Kiana laughed at the exit, his reiteration and looked to the door with a sparkle in her eyes.
She was not kidding: Maybe she would be there. Maybe not. It all depended on her own plans.
With a smile, she turned back to the bar, grinned at Georgie. "Your sons have quite a bit of self-confidence, don't they?", she asked, toasted with the remainder of her glass.

Tim was getting nervous. He had his heart broken manh times before. He just never got the girl. And he always befriended the beautifull and nice ones. Yet he was stuck in the eternal friendzone. He sighed in his mind. He was sure she was flirting.. but he needs to take it slow. So she can learn his brilliant mind.. his nice personality. His good heart. That will win her heart. Yes.. no to do what Timmy boy does best.. change the subject..

"Aye! That'l make a great sequel book! He buys her not a bunch of roses.. but a whole Florist shop! And they build a international rose business - mafia free!" Tim laughed.

Ye know I did promis ye girls lunch.. Still interested in some grub? They serve a killer Cheese Steak and chips here."

O'Malley's Tavern
Kiana at the bar

Georgie smiled weakly at Kiana's statement. It indeed was a compliment, but her words carried truth to it. Too much truth.

"Aye that those shitheads have a'plenty! Pretty much an O'Malley curse.. If dragons were real, that two fools would actually go and find it.. and fight it to the death.. just to show it, and themselves that their balls are bigger than anyone elses."

Georgie took out a old newspaper feom below the counter and put it in front of Kiana. The newspaper headline read

Viva Lads In Green!!

Yesterday, the communist rebels in Borzhinia started a full scale retreat after heavy fighting in the capital for a week durig a full out offensive on the last remaining Borzhinian government city, with a reported strength of over 100 000 forces. According to sources on the ground, the front lines of the city was defended by a "handfull" Port Emberian Commandos for over a week. The communist rebels have finally routed and are on the retreat currently. One of our war journalists managed to speak to a captured rebel and apparantly said "entering the city.. was worse than entering hell. Our comrade leaders told us the outskirts are being held by only a handfull special forces guys.. and that the bulk of the Borzhenia government army was in the city center.. we never got to the center. I think these special operators sold their souls to the devil. They are not normal".

We will update our readers once we get more follow ups on the war. 11 November 2018

Port Ember City Highway
Hauptmann Meyer

Hauptmann Meyer as fiddling with some bit of his uniform, which he believed looked off. While trying to fix it, he made his uniform look slightly worse. This very much irritated him, and he went on to just looking through the window of the car, trying not to think about the fact that he was so useless that he couldn't even fix the buttons on his uniform. At one point, he got sick of watching the beautiful city. He started thinking. When he hopped out of the plane, the lorry that they were told to enter looked very familiar to him, and he started looking at the interior of the vehicle, checking for any special bits that his uncle had mentioned in his letters.

He heard some banterous laughter and some jokes in German from the back of the lorry. Meyer got a bit sick of just sitting there watching the interior, so he decided to start kick off a conversation with the driver to his right. He said, in a jovial and friendly matter with his heavy German accent: "This is a great truck. A SAMIL truck, correct? My uncle was in Biafra, Rhodesia, and when Rhodesia was lost, he fled to South Africa, where he led a small international group of security forces. He sent my parents a picture of the SAMIL 20 once, and there's some SAMIL characteristics, if that makes sense." he looked towards the driver with a smile on his face, and enjoyed the sun that pierced through the thick glass.

Godfrey's freight - (a quick post)

After travelling the short distance to the yard, Penny and Evan pulled up and parked in a large holding area and shut the large V8 down, by now the humidity was beginning to build, possibly for a tropical downpour, "dark clouds over there Penny" comments Evan

"yep, anyway lets speak to the guy in charge then come back for Tiz and we'll go get those tankers moved" replies Penny as she climbed down from the cab, taking her documents out of the glove pocket in the door as Evan exited the cab on the other side.

*bang* *bang* go the two doors as Penny and Evan close them, followed by the turn signals giving a long flash.

Tiswas lay on the dashboard looking out of the windscreen as the two Orcadian's made their way into the office,
"Afternoon guys, is Tig about please, its Penny and Evan Snyder" states penny in a polite but matter - of - fact tone.

Where do bad decisions lead you? Just about anywhere you can probably imagine but Melo was a bit lucky on this end, he dodged a pretty harsh bullet by avoiding prison, no less thanks to the effort of a lovely redheaded attorney who worked his case pro bono but still he was going to pay her back even if took a long time. He did however didn't get away scot-free he was dishonorably discharged from the army, he lost his pay for the next year he probably gave tourists a bad impression about the islands if it made any kind of news outside his little island home. But he didn't hate people or foreigners or anyone, he was just a boy in many ways. But that was then, this is now, he was off in PE a fairly open liberal place for someone like him to make a quick amount of money to pay his debts and help his older sister for whom he also rather took a bit of a fall for, eventually move up given her attitudes had changed. She was wanting to leave AHSCA feeling a government that would prosecute her little brother for taking out some scummy criminals with some old island justice rather than the slow wheels of bureaucracy and the gamble of trial, it wasn't the home she grew up in anymore, it was compartmentalized, modernized, generic! It was more interested in joining the modern world instead of standing firm on it's values! Why that meant she'd leave the islands and go somewhere else was his guess but oh well it was her choice.

Melo was content with returning home when his work here was done because now he had his eyes on someone. The cutest young lady he had ever met but a man with a disgraced name, (quite literally in fact as his marked surname literally means disgrace) Melo couldn't well expect to court a beautiful classy young woman like her so that would have to wait, he could only hope she'd wait for him. But that'd have to wait.

On his list of things to do, earn money to pay his garnishment penalty, pay his attorney, even if she did work pro bono, he felt he owed her a great gratitude of some kind, help his sister out now that she was unemployed and of course earn the right to remove his disgrace mark. He'd been here about a week now, stepping fresh off the boat was culture shock but he had to do what he could to not stand out like a sore thumb. Much of his time was spent around the docks looking to pick up a job, a sailor, freight mover, whatever anyone asked of him and it often worked, not exactly a regular job but someone willing to throw a few Aurums his way for a quick favor. Of course regular employment would be ideal but a young boy with a modest education, only a couple years of military training it wasn't easy in the larger industrialize world but it wouldn't get him down. Honestly he already made more here in the week on just odd jobs then a month's worth of military salary. A long way to go but at least he wouldn't be here until he was 65!

Port Ember Docks, taxi stand

Standing outside on the sidewalk, all that Regina could think of at the moment was the blazing heat. That was, until she heard someone whistling. Looking up, she saw a green taxicab pull up, and heard the driver ask her if she needed a taxi. Finally, some air conditioning, she thought. And great timing too, I thought I was going to die of heat stroke.

Regina walked over to the cab. She took a glance at the car's license plate and memorized the number, just in case she would need that information. Then she went around to the passenger door. Rather than getting in immediately, she unfolded the hotel confirmation and held it up to the window. Printed on it was the hotel address, as well as a small map.

"How much for a ride to the Wheelhouse Hotel, please?", she asked the driver. To avoid any surprises, Regina always confirmed the fare before accepting any cab ride. Although she had no reason to suspect this guy, she knew a friend who had been cheated out of extra cash by a crooked cabbie in Brazil. Better safe than sorry.
This nation is getting a complete makeover. Facts and policies posted before 2019 are NOT accurate.

Rifleman Pearce loved his job as a Military Driver. And it showed - he was voted Best Driver of his unit for the last three years running. He grew up here in the Waterstad Borough, to a mechanic father and a engineer mother. There was always some sort of vehicle or machine laying around the yard, and he could conduct basic repairs on a combustion engine before he attended his first day at school. However instead of becoming a mechanic or engineer as his entire family thought he would - he joined the army. For the adventure he always said. And now he drove marvelous machines for a living with the oppertunity to travel the world while doing so. Good times.

Rifleman Pearce was pretty silent during the drive, with the foreign captain (or hauptman or something like that) sitting next to him. Orders were not to speak too much. Dont ask dont tell. That kind of orders. But small talk wont kill anyone..

When his passenger started speaking of the truck, Pearce's eyes lit up. He had a massive passion for machines after all. After the passenger spoke, he replied:
"I'm mightly impressed you know this ol' girl sir. She aint a very famous machine. But she is a workhorse! A never say die type of truck. None of those new fancy expensive trucks can do what she does - especially when you put her cross country. The new fancy trucks of today snaps like twigs, while this babe just continues taking a smash! She is a wonderfull machine..

A few years back the army needed some good trucks.. and someone found this baby's in South Africa. They were already old and abused, but they kept giving. So the army was impressed.. PE bought domestic production rights for the entire range, upgraded it here and there with some new tech - and build some new "old" trucks. And here they are - probaly - in my opinion - the best log trucks one can find in the world today" Pearce was smiling. He loved his job.

Suddenly there was a voice over the radio system
"All stations - This is One One.
Look alive - 5 mikes till ETA."

Tig Treiger heard his name being spoke from inside the reception area, and entered the room from his office.

"Oh balls... Salty's.. The Gods loves shoving their... -ahem-.. " Tig shut himself up and regained his composure. It was a long day..

"Excuse me folks. I'll be honest with you, I'm a rude son ofa bitch. Dont take it personal, thats who I am. And if you do take it personal.. could not care less.. I'm here for the money - you are here for the money.. thats all there is to it.

Now thanks for coming on short notice. As I said on the phone, I dont care if its a damm ghost driving those trucks - as long as they drive." He put two sets of keys on the counter, with a piece of paper.

"Heres the keys. Written on the paper is the address of the warehouse where the trucks is, and the pier where the tanker ship is docked. Get it there and get that bloody oil pumped into the ship. Once its done, come back for your payment. No go!" He waved them away.

Jimmy smiled and his mindset changed immediately. He knew what she was doing - stopping him from ripping her off before he could think of it. He liked that. He had a liking for 'world wise' foreigners. He disliked the stupid ones.. but the smart ones was okay. He could atleast tey to be nice atleast..

"Good day lassie! The fare is 2 aurums, or 4 NSD. The Wheelhouse is 20 minutes away. And as the gentleman that I am - i'm obliges to tell ye, if ye walk down thata way" -points down the road- "bout 5 minutes walk, is a public busstop, which will take ye there for free.. No aircon though.." Jimmy smiled warmly at her.

The Hannoverian captain waited for the radio transmission to be over, and answered Pearce by saying:

"Oh, the South African trucks were abused alright. I think that Both the Terrs and the South African did their best to destroy the buggars, but those trucks, they just didn't break down." he sighed and shook his head, before continueing: "You know the SAMILs are German, right? The only reason why those trucks didn't break down was due to superb German engineering." he slid his fingers across some of the welding done on the lorry. "Now, your welding is good alright, but this baby wouldn't be running if it weren't for the German design philosophy."

"Anyway, what did they say on the radio? I'm afraid that I'm not familiar with your military jargon", he said in a joky manner.

"Those idiots will die one day because of their confidence. Sometimes its better to be smart than confident.."

Caja. O'Malley's, with Tim.
Caja gave a small smile.
She could be honest with him... or being Timmy's flirt for the day. She saw, that he was a bit desperate, although she did not know the true extend - he was ideal friendzone material, after all.
"Yeah, something to eat would be nice.", the Selkie said with a smile, "Although... when it comes to flowers and girls, more is not necessarily better."

Kiana. O'Malley's, at the bar.
Kiana nodded, grimly.
"Indeed.", she said, "We, too, were confident in our abilities and sent an expeditionary force to a place far away. My mother was an officer on one of the vessels. Her vessel got hit by a huge missile and was no more." She let a beat pass, deciding to spill. "Before she departed, stupid little Kiana had a fight with her, saying some pretty mean things and not had the chance to say, that she was sorry."
She looked into Georgie's eyes.
"They might be idiots and may get killed because of their own confidence.", she said, "But they will know, that you love them. Mam..."
She shrugged.

O'Malley's Tavern

As the events inside of the tavern were proceeding, a group of four people, three men and one woman, entered the tavern. The looked rather modestly dressed, with jeans, sports coats, flat caps, and brogues. To the trained eye, however, one could see that they were carrying weapons, specifically Fort-17's. They made their way over to the tables and sat down, ready to order food. The group began conversing with themselves, taking a few glances at Tim and Caja at the bar, as well as the dancing that was happening at the other end of the establishment. None of them took notice of Kevin Lee, as he did not stand out like the others.

ASTE Company HQ, The Docks

Lex entered the building, feeling the AC blast as he passed through the reception area. The secretary greeted him and told him that the members had already arrived. He made his way up the stairs and to the meeting room, in which four well-dressed business people sat at the table, waiting for him. These were all company executives, and they were waiting to give the recent updates on trade.

Lex sat down and nodded for the execs to begin. He listened to the different developments in the trade.

"The Rada has been rather strict with trade regulations due to the Bozhinia conflict..."

"The attacks from the insurrectionists in the southern Caucasus have slowed our production, but PMC's are doing what they can to hold..."

The meeting droned on for two hours until the execs finally concluded. Lex exited the building, and upon seeing the time, called another contact.

"Benny? It's me. I want you to prep warehouse nine on the Marina Terminal ASAP. I am going down to the docks to ensure the cargo gets to where itneeds to go. Contact me when everything is ready."

With that, Lex got back in the car, and they speed off to the Marina Terminal.

Kevin Lee - O'Malley's Pub

Kevin eyed the newcomers with suspicion. It was clear that these newcomers were from Eastern Europe and were also armed with pistols like himself. Thankfully his grey suit helped hide most of the printing that his firearm was doing in his pocket. Whereas with the newcomers, looking closely he could tell that they were armed with full sized pistols that were probably chambered in .32 caliber or up.

Making sure that they couldn't tell that he was eyeballing them, Kevin reached for his phone in the same pocket that housed his pistol. As he brushed past the pistol, he flicked the safety off and made sure it was in a position where he could easily draw it if the need arose. However, he figured he'd give them the benefit of the doubt and mind his own business since they were in Port Ember after all. He could practically become a legal weapons seller and make as much money as he did on the underground. However, there were always people who needed completely untraceable firearms and there would always be people who would be willing to sell said firearms. Checking his phone, he smiled as he listened in on to the conversations taking place around him.

Caja, as Claire brought over the menus, took notice of the four people entering - noting them to be armed, by the way they moved. She knew, that she had a gun herself... in her traveling bag.
In the hotel.
Dang.
"Thanks.", she said to Claire, when the menus arrived and opened hers, flipping through it.
Those new arrivals were stealing glances at them - she was not sure, if it was with malicious intent or not, but... better safe then sorry. She shifted slightly to see, if her throwing knife was still in place in the upper of her shoe.

Kiana. O'Malley's, at the bar.
Kiana gave a chortled laugh.
"Sorry. I know you mean well.", she said, still smiling sadly, "You sound a lot like the Priest, though. Except the 'fighting for the country' part." She let a beat pass. "Thank you, though. I am sure, that she knows as she sits at the Side of Lodan Lir in the Mag Mell... but... I still regret it."

O'Malley's Tavern, Table 3

The group took their menus and started reading. After a few minutes, one of the men, a gentleman with striking brown eyes and blonde hair, looked up and said,

"Thanks, love. I think all four of us will have Fish and Chips. We will hold off on the beers for now, I am afraid."

As the waitress left, another man at the table, an older man, took out his phone and read the message he had just received. He looked back at his mates and notified them with a lowered voice,

"Got the location details. Marina Terminal, Warehouse 9. We need to be there by 15:30. Supposed to be some high-profile people with a huge payout, so don't mess this up you two." He points at both the younger gentleman and the woman

The woman, who was looking in the direction of Caja and Tim, looked back at the table and said,

"Relax. We've done this kinda gig countless times before. All we gotta do is make scary faces and make sure no one goes near the meeting."

The last man said nothing. He had blue eyes and brown hair, but more noticeably a faint scar on his neck, where a sharp object had cut from ear to ear. In the PE underworld, he was known amongst the soldatos as "Smiles". He was observing the different patrons and staff at the tavern when his eyes landed on Kevin Lee. His eyes quickly darted back to the table. He nodded at the information and took a drink. They had some time to kill in the tavern...

Marina Terminal, one of the ASTE docks

A large cargo freighter had just entered the harbor, with the name Iron Star on its port side. As soon as the ship docked, standard unloading procedures were underway, with massive cranes lifting the cargo of Ukraniumstan goods and setting them down with the rest of the cargo already there. One of the containers, however, was set on a truck that was waiting nearby.

Lex was standing next to his car a couple hundred feet from the truck, watching the container, which was marked with a shark fin, make its way onto the truck. As this was happening, another car pulled up next to Lex's. Two of Lex's bodyguards, both dressed in suits and armed with concealed Fort-17's, got out of the car and went over to Lex. Upon seeing them, Lex said,

"Ah, good, you guys are finally here. I already hired some local muscle to make sure our meeting is not interrupted. How are things on your end?"

One of the guards, Sergei, said,

"Path to the harbor is secure. The huge influx of tourists and immigrants today have made all of our ports really busy today, but Warehouse 9 is clear for use."

"Alright, let's move".

Lex and the guards got into their cars and began to drive off to the Warehouse, while the truck followed.

O'Malley's Tavern
Caja with Tim

Tim did not notice the suspicious looks the group at Table 3 gave to the other patrons in the tavern. He did however notice that Caja suddenly looked a bit.. uncomfortable perhaps. He was worried that he said something stupid and messed up his chances..

"Everything allright Caja?" He asked in a concerned tone. It was also the first time he called Caja on her name, instead of the neutral 'lassie'.

Georgie let out a deep genuine laugh. "By the balls of hell! Imagine.. I never imagined myself and a priest would speak with the same tounge! I'm the resident Anti Priest afterall! But aye - I understand yer point of view lassie. I'm the last man with the right to give advice and did not mean to intrude. This battle is yer own. Just know that 'ere at the docks in Port Ember, you'll always find a random local showing concern and givin' shait advice." Georgie laughed again and passed Kiana another cold beer. "Better enjoy the free beer - I'm normally more stingy than a jew!"

Claire was back a few minutes later with four meals of Fish & Chips. "There ye go folks! Beautifully fried hake in a golden crispy dough skin and the best damm chips you'd ever taste. Dont tell the cook I told ye, but the secret is the chip spice. Enjoy yer meal folks - its the most fun you can have with yer clothes on!" She giggled at her own joke.

Kevin Lee - O'Malley's Tavern

Kevin's face started to harden as he listened in on the Eastern Europeans talking. Thankfully the loud music had started to subside so he was able to eavesdrop in on the conversation. It sounded like your run of the mill illicit trade and it was going down in at the Marine Terminal, Warehouse 9 which was right across the road from Warehouse 8 where his shipping container was being stored. Throwing back the remainder of his beer, Kevin got up and placed a small amount of Aurums on the table as a placeholder and smiled at Claire.

"I'll be right back, I need to make a phone call quickly. Could you possibly bring me another glass in the meantime?"

With that, Kevin gave a close lipped smile to the four gathered at table three and made direct eye contact with the man with the scar as he headed for the door. As he passed by, Kevin brushed his coat back so all four could see that he was visibly armed before stepping outside. Once outside, Kevin stood under the canopy and pulled out his phone before punching in Johnny Azula's number and waited for him to pick up.

Johnny Azula

Johnny hated phones. It was a very neccesary evil in this modern life. But stil he hated phones. It was probably that bloody iritating ringrone which pissed him off the most. And that bloody ringtone was iritating him presently again. He took a very deep drag on his cigar, held it in, blew it out slowly.. and finally awnsered the iritating piece of tech.

"Yeah what?"
