Official communiqué from the Alliance of Great Powers
Dear nations of the world,
It gives us great pleasure to announce that, after a period of dormancy spanning some five years, the Alliance of Grand Powers has been reborn and rechristened as the Alliance of Great Powers. Forged in the fires of international conflict and tempered with the lessons of peace, our alliance now strikes out in search of new travelling companions - new nation-states willing to aid us in our quest for justice. The principles of our coalition are few and simple:
1. Slavery is an abomination against the natural order.
2. Democracy is the most desirable form of government.
3. Governments should provide for the basic needs of their citizens.
4. States subscribing to these principles should band together against the forces of fascism and reaction.
If your nation finds itself in agreement with these principles, then why not join with us in our mission? We aim to rid the world of despotism, tyranny and the abuse of human rights. We will seek at all turns to foster international co-operation and the humane treatment of the individual, fostering peace wherever possible. Many states undoubtedly share these lofty goals, but find themselves too diplomatically isolated to effectively pursue them. The Alliance of Great Powers now offers these nations an opportunity to remedy that situation, and join in concord with our members. Any who would join our cause are welcome to declare their intentions here.
