Hello, and welcome to Lady Adreanna’s 4th anual fundraising masquerade, this dedicated to the aid of refugees displaced during the Azen collapse. As a thank you to several individuals that have helped the distressed expats (and a way to get uninterested people to help in the unprecedented humanitary catastrophe), Lady Adreanna has extended an invitation to several VIPs all over Ausozera, regardless of nationality and social position or fortune, (as long as they can help the former Unionist citizens) to spend an evening on Villa Argenta, an insular palace located on the Baetis river that splits the Adran capital of Gades in two. Unbeknown to her, however, a secret Conspiracy has also decided to make of this event their latest meeting, hiding in plain sight to avoid unwanted attention. Or at least, that’s what they think…

The place: Villa Argenta
The ball will take place in Villa Argenta (previously Villa Augusta), a luxurious winter house inherited by the Royal House after the previous owners died in the Unification War (one in the frontlines and the other assasinated because of court intrigues) and left the property abandoned without heirs. Found in the middle of the Baetis River near the Old Town of the Adran Old City, the island is far enough from the city as to fuarantee a greater privacy tan most people in the capital can afford. A recently renovated 2 floor villa with a basement (that doubles as a bomb shelter) and an attic, the Villa also boasts having a ballroom, a fully equpied kitchen, a large dining room, a smoking room, 5 bedrooms (a master bedroom and guest romos) and 3 bathrooms.
Outside the main building a service house can be found (mostly abandoned), a rather spacious garden and a Mausoleum on the West of the Island, built by the current Monarch to house the remains of the previous owners of the villa, that connects to an old monumental cistern. During the ball, a Nanasawa PMC command center and a Valkyrian Guard APC/Mobile Command Center will also be found on the island.
Security detachment
Praetorian Guard: 12 Praetorian guards, 4 for each member of the Adran Royal Family present (Princess Adrana, Prince Alexander and Queen -). Due to the event being a private affair, they are only expected to protect the Royals and are not legally required to protect the other guests. Recognisable by jet black suits with purple ties.
Nanasawa PMC: Hired by Princess Adreanna to provide security during the event, 30 mercenaries have been hired as security for the event, and can be found patrolling the island (in combat gear and armed with assault rifles) and in the party itself (in suits, armed with handguns and batons). As per the contract, it’s stipulated that they only follow orders from the hosts and the security detail’s heads, even if a Nanasawa happens to be in the party.
The Valkyrian Guard: Having arrived to ensure the security of, as of yet, unconfirmed members of the Unionist government, a small detachment of 6 Valkyrias and an armored control center were dispatched to Gades last week. They can be identified by the iconic blue uniform of the Guard and are armed with karzav handguns and tasers.
Gades Metropolitan Police: In collaboration with the Royal House and to ensure public order, the Gades Metropolitan Police has been deployed to secure and patrol the bridge that connects the island to the capital. Immediately recognizable by the iconic “bobby” uniforms of the Metropolitan Police Force.
“Drone Killer” detachment: 4 drone-catcher devices have been deployed in several points of the island to protect the privacy of the event’s guests from prying eyes and other annoyances, plus a trained imperial eagle used by the Guard.
Rules
Being a masquerade, guests are expected to bring masks on their own. If not carrying one, they can be provided by speaking to Lady Augusta in the reception.
Under no circumstances are guests allowed to come armed to the ball, whether they are firearms, bladed or blunt weapons.
Guests can bring bodyguards, but they will be explicitly limited to non lethal weaponry.
Guests can bring uninvited companions, but they will be responsible of their actions at all times.
People under 18 years of age can’t access the bar nor order alcoholic beverages.
Access to the bedrooms is prohibited.
Access to the service house is prohibited.
Access to the mausoleum is prohibited without an invite.
Approaching the Nanasawa PMC command center is prohibited at all times.
Approaching the Valkyrian Guard command center will result in immediate arrest if deemed necessary.

Confirmation (character apps, fill one for every independent character and/or group)
I, (introduce name and titles if deemed necessary), would like to confirm my attendance to Lady Adreana’s ball, this 27th of November, alone/bringing along my (introduce name of family members, friends, followers, business partners, etc), with/without an entourage made up of (introduce amount of security guards/secretaries/others). I promise to not carry weapons and to follow the rules set by our host.
I would like to have the (normal/vegetarian/indicate specific, relevant medical condition) menu. Furthermore, (introduce miscellaneous relevant information here, if necessary).
OOC Rules
No killing other characters, no poisoning foods, no godmodding, no being an annoyance for the laughs. Basically, common RP etiquette.
Characters are allowed to interact with other “background characters” if needed. Contact OP for specifics on who can be interacted on that same room. Characters will also be occasionally be interacted with by background characters, whether for plot progression or to give them some involvement.
The Schedule is there to avoid the all-too-common blocks that tend to happen in these kind of RPs. While allowed to ignore, it’s recommended that it’s followed unless explicitly recommended by the OP.
You’re doing this in a text-based medium, unconstrained by the need for images unless you want to. Feel free to go all out with masks and attire.
