The officer, having jumped aboard with two other men, nodded and waved to his boat, which then slowed the engines. He did not want to scratch any boat, neither theirs nor his, as that would be impolite to these ladies, who had shown only politeness so far.
Just as Zoe asked her question, though, one of his men returned, nodding. Everything was in order.
The official motioned for Zoe to please wait for a moment, then exchanged a few, quick words with his officer. Nodding all around.
"Seems like everything is in order, Miss Mariner. And your cat is cute, according to him.", the official said with a small smile, then extended his hand, "Indeed, we are expecting quite a lot of people and you will be amongst them. Have fun!"
And, after the handshake, the Harbour Police departed, not without giving final instructions on the docking place. They had found the flare pistol and the rockets, but they did not see them as weapons, as they were a flare gun and they had not found any contraband.
The cat checked out, too.
And with that, the cutter departed, revving his engines when they were a safe distance away.

And she thought, that she did a well enough job.
Waving goodbye to Asuna, they departed, Aurelia smiling as she led Marcella through the crowds, arms linked. Quite a few people smiled and they were way more then the people, who scowled.
But still, Aurelia smiled as they were on the way to the Aurelia, the vessel her father named after his beloved daughter.
Speaking of which, there was a man coming, brown hair, golden eyes, in his mid-thirties, smiling widely as he approached the couple, calling out a greeting.
"Hey, Dad!", Aurelia replied and grinned as he wrapped her into a bear-hug, then kissing her onto the forehead. "Everything ready for the day?"
"Oh, yes, it is.", he replied, then turned to Marcella, grinning, "Handshake, hug, kiss on the forehead or bowing? Your choice... the Gods' willing, you will be my daughter-in-law, so we have a wide array of options!"
Aurelia smiled - although the fighting was still raging, her father was one of their most important supporters. They didn't achieve victory yet, but Aurelia was sure, that her father's words would be true sooner rather then later.
Asuna waved them farewell as she mumbled "Good luck, Miladies." Taking a glance around the streets getting a sense of her environment it dawned on her Marcella did suggest Asuna try out Kyrenaian's own public baths and she could go for a nice moment to relax. If she didn't she'd pace and constantly worry about Marcella so pulling out a map she marked her destination and set forth.
Marcella being pulled along by Aurelia she felt like she was floating. Any time her beautiful hand was holding hers all her worries and troubles melted away. Just as well, it helped her relax. Her spirits brightened further seeing Aurela's father. "How about a little peck on the forehead!" She hugged him back and let him plant one onto her forehead. "It's great to see you again!"

He nodded. "You're right. No time to feel pity for myself!", he said and rightened himself, "Explain the how and why and how it really is, then see, where it is going! And if everything else fails, I can still say, that I tried my hardest!"
Letting a beat pass, he looked from one to the other.
"By the way, are you two... some sort of self-confidence coaches or something?", he asked with a shaky, but present smile, in good humour, "You're good at it!"
The couple smiled when he gained that confidence back for him to do what he needed to, it was an great thing since even if it failed or he was rejected he would continue keeping his confidence and say to himself with an smile even if it hurts, that he did his best.
"That's the spirit my friend" Edward said grinning at Ahmad; then the Kyrenaian asked if they were self-confidence coaches or something like that and that they were good at it.
Something that made the couple laugh an little about that friendly joke.
Then Jessica answered his question.

He bowed his head to the Handmaiden first, then to Souma and lastly to Yuzu. "Ladies, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.", he said with charme, "Prince Mahmut ibn-Idris. Crown Prince Ilia allowed me to join you, but..." He raised a finger. "...only if you don't mind!"
The girls all stood to greet the Prince when he introduced himself and gave a proper bow as young ladies from their parts do. Each girl had their own reaction to him. Yuzu proper and calm and quite happy to have his company, "Why good Prince, it's a pleasure to have you join with us." Yuzu replied.
Yuki was surprised and also pondering because the name did ring a bell and of course it came to her, he's the prince was the one Shirin Bayd tended to. "Ah Milord Prince" She bowed deeper "I thought I recognized your name, you're the Prince tended to by Shirin-san, that is Miss Bayd."
Haru's face flushed red from just how cute and handsome the young Prince was. Yuki would have to break it to her later the Prince had someone already but for now she couldn't help but admire.
Oh my, he's a hottie!...Your Lordship, thank you for your company." Haru responded proper keeping her internal thoughts to herself.

Quite on the contrary - three young Shamsiyyan women, and even the Captain himself, had stared like a broken car when learning that Shamsiyya's largest shipbuilding company was obviously representative in a manner that exceeded the expected level. Reason enough for Iska to stick to her promise not to dress as if to gain respect in the streets of Adirnabul, but way more formal, just like the others. Hopefully, it would suit the situation ...
They were quite a bit nervous when they docked next to the famous Aurelia, especially when they spotted a well-known woman in her mid-sixties standing on the stern next to another one, waving as they passed by. They waved back and nodded in respect before they went on, docking.
The woman who had stood next to the Sultana now departed.
The Shamsiyyans still waved and smiled, as dozens of people on the wharf were welcoming the Malika Aljazirat.
Layla said to Iska, "They must have heard about your abilities as a bar lady!"
Iska laughed. "Sure, they qualify me to be welcomed like a state guest."

"I won't even bother trying to charm my way out of this one, for my spirit has many sides. A side for the gentle exchange of poetry, and the stalwart nature of duty. Duty to country, duty to family, duty to the ones I care about..." the last part hung in the air as he pondered his next moves. "In your reading, you may have encountered the phrase "love happens between two people, marriage between two families". That sentiment still rings true in this day and age. Whatever punishment Fara and yourselves deem fit, I will shoulder it unflinchingly. I will not run from my mistakes." Aceus looked downcast, "But I made them. Dammit Okan! I had one job, one! To make her happy and safe, and I buggered both of them up! All I had to do was swallow my damn pride, to not be so romantically sappy, and the two of us would've bonded over breaking prosky* skulls with one or two extra security guards...the fact that you're even on speaking terms with me is a mercy..." he would look up to Okan, his eyes showing genuine appreciation. "I thank you for that, Okan. I appreciate you're trying to get me back to my diplomatically peppy self but...this is not the time for that. A man must own up to his mistakes, no matter if he wears a crown or not. I just didn't think it would be this soon..."
Clearly Aceus still blamed himself for Fara's attempted assassination, and in spite of rounding up the terrorist cell that plotted the ordeal, the fallout was already in play. There were no flowery words nor adorkable antics to mend a near-death experience, and Aceus wouldn't expect things to be righted so easily.

Bright and early at 11 am, the Debarwa departed Llastres, bound for Sinope, a city in the Sultanate of Kyrenaia. Before the yacht left the safety of
The vessel had three important passengers, each with their own story.
Awate Efrem, a former sailor from Eritrea, carried with him the scars of conflict. For most of his life, he had been in military service. His role eventually came to be captaining a patrol boat, filled with green sailors who had just completed basic training. This constant stream of new personnel was an outgrowth of the country being on a constant war footing, especially regarding their neighbor to the south. He had done well in his time, fighting in the war for independence, but had to flee when he was accused of supporting G-15. After he left, he ended up in the Royal Republic. Being that Bruke (until recently) was a landlocked country, he spent time in San Francisco where he discovered a more relaxed kind of sailing. After a few years of captaining chartered yachts, he became friendly enough with the local yachting community to try sailing for sport. He competed in the San Francisco Perpetual Challenge Trophy in 2014 and 2016. He now is skipper of the Debarwa. As such, he seeks to explore more of the world and build his skills, one day teaching a younger generation the ways of the sport.
Brandon Hammond was born in Western Section during the last gasp of the colonial era, right before the start of the decolonization conflicts that racked what would become West America for the next three decades. After attending the University of Western Section (then only with one campus, in Frontier) and majoring in agricultural engineering, he took up work at a fishery along the Saint John River. This work eventually led him to academia, returning to his alma mater in the year 2000 to become a research assistant to Maurice Bondy, the first director of the UWS Center for Aquacultural and Fisheries Sciences. An exchange program sponsored by WAIST (the West American Initiative for Science and Technology) placed him with the Royal Explorers Society’s Program for Oceanic Research. From 2008-2010. This initial contact was what drew him to work for the Society as captain of the RES James Bruce. While a captain, he discovered a general love for sailing that stayed with him afterwards. He was inspired to take up competitive sailing, buying a small yacht with family and learning the sport at the would-be Commodore Naval Yard. He is now the tactician of the Debarwa, a role that suits his detail-oriented personality.
Joaquin Carreon has long been a well-known figure to Llastreseños and Llastreseñas, as he has been the longest-serving mayor in the city’s history, in office from 1990 all the way to the recent handover to Brukean rule. In his role as mayor, he mostly focused on restoring Cantabria Bay as a way to boost tourism. This was the dilemma of the Pearl of the Pacific. Llastres had been a small but notable resort town until World War 1, when the Allied need for petroleum brought heavy industry to develop local oil reserves. The Second World War intensified this need, and in the postwar period the city became one of the largest oil hubs on the West Coast. The ecological damage from years of extraction and refining became apparent when in 1989 a tanker ruptured, polluting miles of pristine coastline. Carreon was voted in on a platform of environmental protection. His first action was to encourage a lawsuit by victims of pollution which resulted in a settlement that required locally operating oil companies to clean up damage over a period of years, a process that is still ongoing today. He also restored the harbor, an action that saw him named president of the Prince of Asturias Yachting Club, focusing on improving club facilities. He is now manager of the Debarwa, also serving as an ambassador of sorts for Llastres.
Approaching Sinope
The Debarwa let out a blast of its horn as a friendly greeting as it neared the shore of the city. Even though Llastres had only recently been incorporated into the Royal Republic, the residents had heard of the Sultanate, described in glowing terms by Brukean media.
This would most certainly be an enjoyable trip.

"Sixty days ... what the shit ..." - Merle exclaimed, without thinking about it. After all, it had taken them just a couple of weeks to Sinope ...
"So you've stopped a couple of times?" - Ratko asked. "We have, too, but mostly near uninhabited islands."
Ingmar and Merle got finished fixing the ropes - as they had already dropped anchor, they now could enjoy meeting someone new to them.
Both jumped onto the wharf.
After (more or less jokingly, mind you) checking whether or not the wharf would hold them by jumping on it, Ingmar said, "They seem safe - both the Milenka and the wharf." He grinned. "Of course, you may have a look. Not that it were spectacular, but I'd assume that you may like it."
