Sinope Harbour Festival (IC, MT)

Postby Kyrenaia » Sat Dec 22, 2018 6:02 pm

Hello and welcome to the IC of the Sinope Harbour Festival!
Please apply and be accepted on this OOC before posting here. Thanks!

Sinope. Sailing Yacht Sayarfur, at the Main Wharf.
The large harbour city had long since woken up - it was shortly after nine, after all! In but an hour, the Sinope 2018 Harbour Festival would be opened!
And what a magnificent harbour festivals it would be!
Dozens of ships were there, from Kyrenaia, from the Free Lands, from Lutetii, from Markaz and from all over the world. And one of them was the Sayarfur, the personal yacht of Crown Prince Ilia ibn-Razia, a 315 tons heavy, 36 metre long Bagala-Type Sailing Ship, which had the sword-like bow and profile, which could cut through the waves at astonishing speeds.
She was built of wood and quite a sight, not only due to the ornate carvings on her stern and quarter galleries, but also due to her crew. A year before, the Sailing Club of the Haram Girls' Academy in Utica had gotten introduced to sailing by the Crown-Prince and Lord-Commander of the Navy, the Sultana's eldest son teaching them and some interested the ropes of his subject, which they soaked up like a bunch of sponges.
And now, they were here! On the other side of the country, having sailed the Sayarfur along the coasts, with only a few experienced crew members capable of taking over in cases of emergencies. Still, the 23 girls and young women had managed it.
One of them was a purple-eyes and black-haired young woman, sixteen years of age - Laila Mithal, was her name, and she was a student of the HGA and an enthusiastic sea-girl. She even loved scrubbing the deck, which they had just finished.
She and her friends looked from the deck to the many, many masts in the Great Basin, the centre of the celebrations here in Sinope, along the Main Wharf.
Many of the foreign vessels visiting were here, while those of dignitaries were in the Small Basin, amongst them the Aurelia. The yacht of Prince Damir almost came late, which was a fact, which the crew of the Sayarfur enjoyed, mainly because it meant, that they had been faster.
In any case, they had docked in the early morning hours. Laila hoped for her fellow student, Princess Aurelia.
"A magnificent sight, eh?", a voice behind them asked, belonging to a silver-haired man with shining blue eyes, tall and quite good looking for a Naval Aviator in his early forties. "So many good vessels from so many good places."
"Sinope doesn't ever shut down as well.", one of her classmates answered the Lord-Commander of the Navy, and the Sayarfur's Captain, with a nod to the stern, where, a few hundred metres astern of the vessels, freighters entered and left Sinope, the busiest harbour of the Sultanate.
Crown Prince Ilia nodded. "Indeed. But still... we're open for visitors, ladies, so stay tuned." The crew nodded. "And if you want to have a peak at the festival later... after the Parade, we're in shifts."
There were cheers at that, which made the Lord-Commander smile.

Small Basin.
They had stayed in contact ever since she returned from the UIS, where she had been for the Festival of Holy Light. She had met her love again, the love of her life, she had brought her the message...
...and contrary to her Grandmother's wish, she had not broken up with her.
They stayed together and Princess Aurelia bint-Damir had resolved to fight for her love.
And fought, still did.
Funnily enough, the Sultana, at some point, stopped - and so did she. No one mentioned the issue and the 'war' got cold.
Aurelia, overjoyed as she had heard, that Marcella would come with her own boat, the Hoshi, had been floating on Cloud Nine - and still did, despite her Grandmother asking her to meet with Marcella, for important business was afoot. Marcella knew of this as well, by the way of letters.
But for now, the Princess, dressed in a light white blouse and jeans, a sun hat on her head, she would change later for the Parade, approached the quay, where her beloved's boat was supposed to be.
They had arrived in the early morning hours today, delayed due to circumstances, but she simply didn't have enough power anymore to go to her, although her mind and soul had yearned for it...
In any case, with Aldhiyb by her side, the Kyrenaian Princess began to get nervous.
Months had passed... and politics had passed, too.
It promised to be a beautiful day, and an important one, too!

The morning haze burned away leaving the shining desert city glimmering for folks on the rather retro R.S. Explorer pulling into port for their holidays in the great nation of Kyrenaia. A lengthy journey of ups and downs, quite literally depending on the sea conditions in any given day but they were here at last. Many had come just to enjoy the sights of of Kyrenaia others had come for their festival to celebrate the nation's maritime legacy. Among them included three kimono claded middle schoolers, Yuzu Shijou, the daughter of a naval admiral with a particular fondness for ships herself, Yuki Yuna, a kind of shy but gentle little handmaiden to the royals of her home state of Amaterasu, and Harukaze Souma, a girl who would describe herself as average, ordinary, nothing special really, except to Yuki who regarded Haru as being very special to her since the day first met each other. Haru had her typical parasol out, to keep the sun off. Yuki staggered around a bit regaining her sense of balance from her long journey while Yuzu grinned inhaling deeply. "Here we are, here we are! Ah look at the ships already here at this early in the morning, imagine what will come along later." She paused awaiting a response then turned to see Yuki leaning against the post of the pier.

"Yuki-chan, honestly you can't still be that tired from the trip."

"N-not my fault, I've never sailed before, you never told me I'd still feel like I'm on a rocking ship well after I'm off."

"Aha" She giggled a bit sheepish "Ahhh guess I've forgotten myself. Hey could have been worse we could have been crammed in third class at the bottom of the ship." Yuzu walked over offering her hand to Yuki along with Haru they pulled her to her feet and steadied her. "Don't worry," Yuzu offered a reassuring pat "You'll regain your balance in a little while. Though hasn't your Lady ever gone away for business before?"

"Not overseas - or at least - never with me that is. I'd think she'd take the train cross country or fly. I don't think she's afraid to fly, unlike Her Majesty the Empress." Yuki mused over that tidbit though it was common knowledge.

"Yuki-chan, will you be okay should we get you to the hotel first?"

"I'm sure I'll be fine, if Yuzu-chan wants to see the ships already here we should let her, we wouldn't be here if not for her."

"Plenty of time to see them, at least we should get our bags away and confirm our registrations. And we can get a map of the city so we know our way around and not look so much like tourists."

"Uuuh..." Haru paused at that response, given their manner of dress they'd stick out anyway but oh well, so what if they looked like they just walked off the set of a period drama. If they ever felt threatened Yuzu would probably bluff and say she's packing heat even though she wasn't but her naval upbringing gave her a bit of an tough exterior compared to Haru or even Yuki and Yuki was homeless for a time!

"In the meantime, shall we at least snap photo to commemorate our landing here?" Haru suggested

"Sounds fun!" Yuki liked the idea.

"All right!" Yuzu agreed.

Haru pulled out her mobile phone setting on the camera "Smile!" click.

Luna Mysteria, 06:00

60 days ago, Zoe Mariner and Micky had left Rai'lal for a recreational voyage in the Luna Mysteria which once it had left the coastal waters of the Aurora Confederacy became a very small boat on a very big ocean as she is only 36ft in length and now the boat is somewhere off the Kyrenaian coast and at an angle to the wind with a cool morning breeze blowing across the deck. As the boat moves slowly through the water it leaves in its wake a shallow bow wave but apart from that hardly a ripple is made for Luna Mysteria isn't a fast boat, in fact if you could walk on water you could probably jog faster than the Luna Mysteria can move through the water yet despite this lack of overall speed, the Luna Mysteria is making faily good progress through the water as indicated by the GPS which displays 5knots on the digital display.

Up in the forward cabin, which thanks to the Luna's position to the wind is at a 20 degree lean, Zoe Mariner is fast asleep whilst her close friend Micky is out on deck, one hand on the large wheel, the other on a grab handle close by the helm position, with her feet on a footrest, behind her the flag of the Aurora confederacy futters in the wind and in front of her the sails curving in the wind as they pull the boat along, yes thats right pull the Luna Mysteria as their modern Schooner-rig design means that they act more like a wing of an aeroplane than the sails of a square-rigged ship as the wind hits the mast, causing the air on one side to take a longer path than the air on the back of the sail, resulting in reduced air pressure and a curve to the front and high pressure behind the sail and so forward motion through the water.

In the galley, the kettle begins to bubble then with a click switches off and so Micky gets up from the helm and makes her way inside, down a small set of stairs where she then begins to make 2 cups of coffee whilst keeping her eye on the screen for the radar sensor which is mounted high up the mast, gradually, the edge of the screen begins to change colour on the long range from blue to green.

"hmmm, looks like we have land ahead" she thinks, before leaning over to the navigation console in the galley area and tapping it. "yup, thought so" she says to herself before calling out "Zoe, ZOE!" she shouts, "I think we're close to land" Micky checks again her position on the navigation console, a position marked out as roughly 14km off the coast of Kyrenaia, or as the display on the navigation console says "Kyrenija". not because of any spelling mistake but the display gives the Auroran name for Kyrenaia

Zoe Mariner, having heard Micky's voice begins to stirr, reaching over she turns on the small low powered LED light and begins to get dressed, putting on a pair of jeans, a loose fitting white blouse and a denim jacket before exiting the cabin to greet Micky, "where are we Micky?" she asks

"Kyrenian waters" Micky replies, handing Zoe a cup of coffee

"we're running early it seems, by my calculations I was expecting us to be here tonight, yet here we are"

"well, Zo, we had a stern current and a good wind so, you know. Is Kyrenaia a muslim country"

"I think so, but i think its quite open and westernised but we'll see"

A few hours later...
it took another 4 hours to get close to the harbour breakwater, Luna Mysteria shadowing the coast and so Zoe took over the helm, "Micky, get the passports, visas and permits out and put them in the pocket behind the door of the cabin, then prepare to pull the sails in"

Micky nods, "okay" before going inside where she does as requested before returning back to the deck, "main sail?" she asks

"yes" replies Zoe, reaching for the winch to begin letting the sail down as Micky begins the job of folding the sail on the mast. As the sail comes down, the angle of the Luna becomes more upright as the pressure from the wind falls away, and with the sail tied to the boom the cover is then put over it to keep the sail tidy before starting on the jib sail. There isn't much communication on a verbal level between Zoe and Micky as the sails are stowed, its a task that both know well and so don't need to do much in the way of talking in order to get the sails packed, but once the sails are stowed, Zoe looks at Micky with a smile and says "give the coasties a call, I'll get the diesel running"

It takes a couple of attempts to get the small diesel engine started as for the last 2 months it has been idle although the propeller has been turning in the current and so spinning the shaft driven generator to keep the batteries topped off but once running the small 4 cylinder diesel engine begins to let out a reassuring throb, as well as a cloud of exhaust smoke from the port just above the water line, a cloud which gradually clears as the engine warms up and pushes the Luna Mysteria to 5knots

Micky on the otherhand heads into the cabin and picks up the radio,
"Sinope Harbour, Sinope harbour, this is sail craft Luna Mysteria, requesting harbour entry clearance"

As Micky calls up for permission to enter the harbour, Zoe Mariner enters the cabin and goes to the flag cabinet, jabbing a finger under each armpit of Micky as she does, letting out a michievous laugh. At the flag cabinet she pulls out the Kyrenaian flag and returns to the deck. On the sides of the mast are 2 hallyards for hauling signalling flags, to one of these lines Zoe mariner fastens the Kyrenaian flag and begins to hoist it to the top, a practice carried out of respect for another nations waters.

On the flight, Cormag and Alexander sat with excitement riddled on their faces. At several times, they filmed their experiences on the luxurious travel, commenting on the food and even random stuff. By the time they got off the plane, the pair dragged their luggage and carried their backpacks into the airport building. After picking out a place to sit down and relax for a while, Cormag took out his camera first.

Recording

"Hullo, guys. It's the Pyschadelic EDs here," Cormag smiled, "and we're currently restin' our asses off from the long-ass flight. Finally, we're here in Kyrenaia, in Sinope, and once we've settled down enough, we'll head to our hotel room for us to stay in."

"And hopefully, not get our asses filled with the dust," Alexander chimed in.

"Oh, yeah," Cormag laughed, "Since this is a desert town. So...anyways, guys, we'll sign off here for now, and we'll be able to film our wee little journey to the hotel in a bit. See you then."

Recorded

"Alright, let's go," Cormag finally said.

"Can't we just eat lunch here," Alexander asked.

"Naw. Let's try out the other restaurants in this city. My appetite's more tempted to try them out."

"Alright, then. Though I'm probably going to starve right away before we reach the hotel."

"Come on, dude. You can fuckin' survive. I mean, you've had tons of snacks on the way."

"That's not enough to fill my fuckin' stomach, Cormag."

"Sure it does...Oh, well, you're probably right. But, please, let's just catch a cab, check out our hotel room, and then we can eat at a restaurant that comes to our sights first."

"Alright, fine," Alexander sighed.

The pair then walked out of airport to pick out a cab.

It was Marcella's turn to get some rest in the little cabin she called her quarters. The little lamp for light that hung above her gently swayed in rhythm of the boat as she rested up from her long if not a little perilous journey across the ocean to get here. The first time she came to Kyrenaia it was by plane, how very ordinary! But now she got her dream trip, sailing somewhere at her own whim and control. With the help of her trusty bodyguard and first mate. Her mind had raced through this trip about seeing Aurelia again until she had to be all business in the face of perils of whatever the ocean would throw at them and throw at them it did. But they made it here safe and sound. Of course they had been followed, tailed by the UISAF and friends as well. No one just lets a Duchess willy nilly skip across the pond for a laugh!

A few scout ships scattered here and there, a high flying U2 which could probably circle the little wind powered junk ship a few times over but once it was clear they were safe and sound within the confines of The Sultanat's territorial waters they could back off.

But back on Marcella again, her mind and dreams both pleasant and anxious at times plagued her mind whenever she found time to sleep, this one she was pleasantly sharing a meal with Aurelia in some location, what on earth was this an ice castle? Yikes too cold why were they were bikini clad in an ice castle? Who knows why the mind works the way it does.

On deck at the helm, Asuna, Marcell'a guard, confident, friend, first mate, just about everything around to her. Usually silently poised behind her Duchess ready to pounce at anything. She'd come along on this journey, mostly at the insistance of everyone else to ensure her safety and well Marcella couldn't complain that much, a fair compromise to be able to sail and enter her little vessel here. Hoshi, Auroran (and Japanese) for Star. Marcella likened her little ship to being a star on the vast ocean just like the stars in the vastness of space.

Spotting land, Asuna debated if should she wake Marcella, she had just gone through most of the day and evening as the helm she needed rest. Best let her rest. carefully and gingerly she guided into harbor avoiding bigger massive ships. Once docked it was time to do duties, dismasting, swabbing, securing, etc. Marcella did wake up eventually realizing they were at a stand still. "You should have woken me up!"

"I thought you could use a little rest. After all wanna look your best for Aurelia, right?"

"Aah I guess you're right, but look at you doing all the port duties. What kind of captain am I?"

"I thought all Captains made their crew do all the grunt work..." She said with an awkward smile

"Only lazy and bad captains. Any captain with respect of her vessel and crew would pitch in as well. Well guess now that that's done we can dismount."

"Milady, how do you intend to keep a low profile here? I think you're pretty well known at least among the locals."

"Mmm true I guess me being the subject of siliceous gossip doesn't help....Well just have to act naturally, Asuna. I don't imagine many would expect the Duchess of a nation to sail in on a little old junk schooner like this! So for all anyone will guess, we're just fisherman from AHSCA."

"Your confidence is admirable."

Dancerian Enterouge, near the Small Basin, Sinope, Sultanate of Kyrenaia
10:00 AM

The small cutter-style yacht barely had enough time to find a place for her to drop anchor, with all manner of sailboats and vessels far larger than the Dancerian craft about in the waters this day. The trio of young men looked more like college students trying to enjoy the weather and water before the festival, rather than Royal Peers of Danceria. Especially since one of them appears to be sickly pale.

"C'mon Ed!" the silver haired man would shoulder his lithe and ing haired compatriot, "Sailing isn't that different from horseback riding!"

"You've been saying that the whole bloody trip!" Edgar would protest wearily "But obviously, it is!"

"...If you need, I can take care of Ed." the bird member of troupe would politely offer. A soft spoken man of reputable height and musculature, who already carried the two suitcases containing their more formal attire for the festivities. "There ain't no shame in taking a moment to get it out now rather than in the presence of the Sultana."

"I am merely dizzy!" Edgar wrested himself out of the silver haired man's care. "Not some drunkard with far many pints in his belly! I am perfectly..." the long haired man would swallow for a moment. "fine."

Whilst Edgar and his apparent caretaker would argue about how "fine" he was, the gentle giant would espy a young Kyrenian girl, with a light blouse, sun hat and jeans, accompanied by some form of canine. Taking a moment to stride ahead, he called out in surprisingly understandable, if slightly accented Kyrenaian "<<Begging your pardon good miss! Which way to the party?>>"

Aurelia.
Slightly surprised, that someone would ask her, where the way to the party was, Aurelia placed a hand on Aldhiyb's collar, the Sand Wolf already emitting a low growl, which went under in the seas of voices, but his snarl didn't.
He had been a bit unrestful as of late, but Aurelia didn't mind.
"Everywhere!", she called back in English with a cheerful grin and it was true: The entire Historic Harbour and its promenade was the area for the party and the Old Town would follow soon enough. Her switching to English was not a slight against him, but a courtesy: His accent was, if one asked her, who she had learned it herself, horrible. "Have fun!"
And with that, she proceeded towards her destination, not recognizing the cutter-yacht and its passengers. Her mission, however, was of greater importance.
The three men, she thought, would have to be more worried about the young, dark-skinned, blonde and red eyed man in stroller, leaning on a cane, who she nodded to, receiving a light bow in return. Prince Okan had been quite miffed (to say the least) since his little sister had been stabbed while in Danceria. The Handmaiden, who escorted him, had watched with worry.

Arriving just in time to catch Marcella's bodyguard speak: "Your confidence is admirable."
Marcella was beautiful. Sure, the long trip had taken a bit of a toll on her, but Aurelia didn't care. Quite on the contrary, it made her even more beautiful then she already was - and just like Aurelia had earlier that year, the Duchess of her Heart had braved the oceans themselves to be here!
To be with her!
Aurelia's heart almost missed a beat.
She knew, that much like herself, she had never been in any real danger, as soon as the escort of the Armed Forces of the United Island States had pulled off, one of the nuclear fleet submarines of her Uncle had escorted her, with at least one floatplane overhead to rescue her in case of any emergency. The submarine was now approaching Naval Base Ibossim, if Aurelia would have to bet.
In any case...
"Not only her confidence is admirable.", she called up with a smile, Aldhiyb greeting with a happy bark, his tail wagging, "She is admirable." Looking to Marcella, she wore the happiest of smiles. "Good morning, Marcella... welcome back!"

"Luna Mysteria, this is Sinope Harbour Control.", the radio crackled back in very understandable, if accented English. The speaker was pronouncing each syllable distinctively and correctly, but in doing so overdid it every once in a while. "A Harbour Cutter for customs is approaching at your port, they'll direct you to your docking place."
And indeed, there was a cutter approaching, barely longer then the Luna Mysteria, but without a mast, diesel-powered, what looked like an MG-nest at the bow - upon closer inspection, that would turn out to be a maritime fire hose. It pulled up alongside, half a metre between the vessels.
A friendly looking officer with a not-so-friendly looking submachine gun on a strap over his back called over: "Good morning, Luna Mysteria. Anything to pay duties on? Passports as well, please."

A cab could quickly be found, the transit to their hotel would be easy as well - checking in as well, although there was a slight problem with the computer, the clerk at the check-in messing up the spelling of their names thrice before she just let them type their names in themselves.
The rooms were comfortable, although they did get a slight upgrade: The rooms had their own bathrooms and a good view over the old town, towards the harbour, where a veritable forest of masts was ready for the festival.
Transit there, thanks to shuttle buses, would be easy as well.
What adventures would await them on the bus, though, that was for the future to decide.

She was blonde, a very light blonde, with golden eyes and the dark skin, a deep-red tassel in her hair.
"Miss Yuzu Shijou and company?", she asked and bowed her head respectfully, "Welcome to Kyrenaia and to Sinope. Able Sailor Rasha Qadir, of the Staff of the Lord-Commander of the Navy."
Upon hearing that name, those more knowledgeable in gossip and the corresponding rags would perk up at that name, as it had appeared quite often as a potential love interest for her superior officer and even his lover, a fire, which had been fuelled by her appearing as his date on four official occasions over the last half-year. Whether or not there was something to these rumours...
She continued: "Said Lord-Commander has asked me to ask you, whether or not the three ladies would like to have a cuppa tea aboard the Sayarfur before the celebrations begin in earnest?"

Click the artificial sound effect of a shutter. Taking a look at them all squeezed together smiling "It turned out great!" Haru remarked

"For once I didn't have my eyes closed!" Yuki replied.

"I agree, great shot of us, Haru-chan. Though it looks like we got photo bombed here but no big deal..." Their attention was caught the the voice of a woman calling out Yuzu's name, whom identified herself as a Sailor of a Lord-Commander. Yuzu smiled, "Why yes, that is me!" Now a proposal for tea. Well they thought of heading to their hotel but taking a quick glance at each other an invitation to tea sounded very lovely. "Why yes, I'd think we'd enjoy a good cup of tea after our long trip. And Kyrenaians are supposed to be known for their delectable tea!"

"Oh yes, that sounds lovely, thank you!" Yuki responded

"Tea would be most lovely. If you'll lead the way please we'd be delighted to join." Haru agreed. Allowing Miss Rasha to lead their way they followed closely behind. "Lord-Commander she said?" Haru whispered "Why do you think he'd want to meet three common girls like ourselves?"

Yuzu thought a moment, "Well Yuki, you have connections here."

"Huh, I do?"

"You know another handmaiden working here, don't you?"

"Only from PiffleNet, one I've chatted to on a couple of occasions. But I think she said she was in care of a Prince. Our guide did identify you first, Yuzu-chan, maybe it's because your father?"

"Mmm it's possible. I told father not to call anyone or make a fuss about us going. Well either way it will be nice to enjoy a cup of tea and rub elbows with some VIPs here. Maybe then I can get a close up look at some of the ships of this festival!" Yuzu practically had stars in her eyes.

"Yuzu-chan does love her ships!" Yuki replied.

Yuzu just came out and ask after their little session. "Pardon me, Miss Qadir, if you don't mind me asking as to what the Lord Commander you speak of has interest in the three of us? We are flattered of course but hardly anyone of particular note."

Godspeed, Sinope, Small Basin

Morning, the beautiful moment of the day in where you wake up from your sleep, more when you rest of your travel to here. Ahh Sinope, the perfect place for an couple to enjoy and rest for an time meanwhile they buy something for their daughter and girlfriend for both, Christmas and their birthdays.

That would be one of the many reasons why the couple was here in Kyrenaia, of course this was an leisure travel and since they were traveling to an nation in where the ships were still an crucial part of transport and an tradition; what could this Mervayan couple bring?? The answer was more than simple with one of the greatest works of the Selkie company, Silveport Dockyards; comapny know by it's great quality.

The Godspeed, an Aurelia Class Yatch with an traditional Kyrenaian design inside was the perfect choice for them, since this ship was gonna be the one that would take them around the world in most of the time when they decide to travel to locations in where an ship is more than needed.
Their zone in where they docked was surprisingly in an area in where most special vessels were, which was surprising since they were expecting to dock in an normal part of the port, rather than in the Basin in where they could see various important vessels, they could even see Villa's ship docked here, of course this couple could easily note the reason of dock there out of being an head of state vessel.

But changing of topic and now going to the introductions, the couple that came in this ship were the Dileva's; one of the most important families in Mervay. However not all the family was there, only the couple since their daughter was busy with her girlfriend which came to visit her after an long time, but that was another story.
Returning with the couple, Edward and Jessica have took the chance of the winter holidays and vacations to decide to make an pleasure travel to the Sultanate and enjoy their time together before go to Mervay to celebrate their daughter birthday and then the farewell until later of Jessica, since she worked as Mervay's Ambassador in AHSCA.

Now changing of topic, since the festivities have begun early or that's what they could note with the people walking all over the city from their wiew, their first thing to do was at least find the gifts for their daughter and her girlfriend, and see the culture of the city; something not so difficult if you think about, the problem was to know where it was the market zone of the city.
They leaved the ship dressed like they always do, Edward leaved with his blue suit like nothing as his wife leaved with the dress she always wear; if they could find an store and change themselves to more traditional clothes of here, they would surely do.

"Nervious??" Edward asked as his wife hold his hand tight.

"Kinda, it's just that I don't want to have another scandal like the last one on the Kitan... With... You know" Jessica said sighing. "I just want to enjoy this day and vacations without those problems and without being forced to evacuate to an safe location because of an hurricane or coordinate an entire aid force to make sure everything went well and we weren't forced to bring an entire fleet"

He could note very well that she wanted this to be an perfect and calm day, without problems and without nothing strange happening like last time.
The brown haired man looked at her eyes and with an warm smile answered her.

"Don't worry, everything will be fine, I will make sure of it and you won't suffer that stress that you suffered when you were forced to evacuate to the Embassy Isle back in the festival or coordinate any relief disaster force" he kissed her. "Today it's you and me. C'mon, let's have fun today"

His wife face is more relived and kiss him back with an relived smile.

"Thanks honey, yeah, let's enjoy today together" she said walking besides him with her head leaning to his shoulders. "We might ask an local if they know where it is the market" she then asked.

"Your right" he said as they stopped to ask an local. "Excuse me, mind if I ask you where it's located the city market??"

Geezer's Rest - Mouth of the Sinope Harbour - 11:00 AM
Captain Alexander Theodore, captain of the Geezer's Rest, was at the helm of his ship with his pipe in his mouth. A few weeks ago he had received a telegram when he was in a different port informing him of an invitation to the Sinope Harbour Festival in Kyrenaia. When he had seen the invitation he had decided it would be jolly fun to see other ships of old since nowadays many greenhorn bastards preferred their fancy "Panamax" cargo ships or whatever. In his eyes there was nothing finer then a tri-mast clipper ship like the Geezer's Rest. As he brought his ship into the harbour he looked for a suitable place to dock. Once he spotted a spot, Alexander slowly maneuvered his ship into position. Once it was next to the wharf he ordered some of the crew members to tie it down and place the ramps. Once everything was finished the crew members were allowed to leave and they went into Sinope to see the sights while Alexander sat down and took in the sights.

Qadir smiled as the three girls huddled together - how often had she done that with her friends? Uncountable times.
She led them away, leaving the three to their conversation, but when Yuzu spoke to her, she gave a small, kind smile, much like an older sister would. That she was 27 certainly helped that impression.
Her smile morphed into a bit of mischief, as she replied: "I am now actually supposed to act and say, that he has his reasons, but amongst the four of us, he really has.", she told them, leading them down the quay towards the Sayarfur, the ship of the sword-like profile being an interesting sight with the girls, some of them not much older then the three girls she brought, climbing through the rigging. "I am sadly not at the liberty to reveal them to you, but I can guarantee you one thing, Miss Shijou, you will see a wonderful ship in the process."
She let a beat pass.
"I have to ask though...why?", she finished with a smile, before she looked at them with a smile, "Everyone is of particular note, be it a Handmaiden, an Admiral's daughter or a Middle Schooler. All have things to say, stories to tell, which makes them noteworthy."

Aldhiyb gave a happy bark at that, knowing, that this was his cue.
And then, Marcella in her arms, and already quite a few eyes on them, Aurelia decided to bugger it all.
She kissed Marcella.
Deeply.
We will leave the details to the imagination, but it was a kiss, which one could describe as for the ages!
When it ended, Aurelia thought, that it had lasted only a second, yet an eternity.
"Missed you.", she softly whispered to her girlfriend, hugging her closer.

The 'local' they asked turned out to be a middle-aged man, around Edward's age, dark-skinned and with dark hair, a beard beginning to form around his chin.
He was a bit shorter, though, and spoke an accented, but understandable English: "I could, Sir, but I could also do better. I could take you there, must go there anyway. I'm meeting someone there..." He said and took a deep breath, a blush creeping onto his cheeks. He looked incredibly nervous all of a sudden. "A meeting with the most beautiful, most wonderful woman on this planet, at least in my eyes, but a simple meeting, nothing special and most certainly not a date!"
Calling his smile shaky was like calling water wet: Technically correct, but missing the point a bit.

The Chuck wrote:Geezer's Rest - Mouth of the Sinope Harbour - 11:00 AM

The Geezer's Rest, most likely not planning it, had docked right opposite to the Aleilaf, a Jaras-type sailing vessel, which were quite easily distinguished by their wide beam, long bowsprit and overhanging stern, with two masts. They were originally built as coastal trading vessels and one could still see that origin in the fact, that they weren't exactly cleared for the high seas.
The Aleilaf was even more special: She was more then a century old and still in active service as a merchantman, of course not delivering to the large harbours like Sinope, but making regular tours to the outlying islands. An unimportant route, for which they even needed a special concession to stay in business.
Her Captain, who almost looked as if he was as old as his ship, had watched the Rest pull into harbour, then barked a command. A man, who was considerably younger, raced up the mast and with one quick move, the Aleilaf dipped her flag in respect for an old lady just like them.
That done, and the success reported to the Captain, said officer nodded and left his post at the stern, handing over command to a younger man as he disembarked, looking towards the Rest with his beard moving up in what might have been a smile.
Both ships caught quite a bit of attention from the Promenade as well.

The Dileva's grinned about the man proposal since it would serve them handy for know the place and they could not lose themselves on the track; they noted very well that this guy has romantic feelings for the woman he will met there and surely he really wanted that meeting to be an date.

"Thank you so much sir, we appreciate it" Edward said bowing to him. "Allow us to present ourselves, my name is Edward Dileva and this woman at my side is my wife, Jessica" they bowed back with an smile on their faces.

"It's an honor to meet you sir, but may we ask your name in our way to the market please??" Jessica asks curious.

"Ah, yes, sure, my apologies.", he said and bowed his head to them, "Mister Dileva, Madame, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Ahmad Yarshud, I belong to the Kyrenaian Merchant Navy. I basically organize the schedules for the trading vessels of Kyrenaia."
He smiled, slightly.

"I missed you too. Oh and I can't forget you, Aldhiyb!" She took a moment to break away from Aurelia cupping his head in her hands and giving him a little kiss onto his nose. "Later on, maybe Aurelia will let me give you a nice brushing, I bet you'd like that." She added while scuffing around his fur with her hand and scratching behind his ears.

Aceus would smile at Okan, and introduce his two compatriots as "Edgar and Sabin Castamir, my cousins. I'm looking forward to enjoying the festivities with your family, if permitted to." he was of course fully aware of the assassination attempt on Fara bint-Dardan, and would like to speak to her family in private to own responsibility. But of course, he wanted his family to enjoy the beautiful day as well.

The Sand Wolf gave a happy bark, his tail wagging as he leaned into the scratching.
"I think, that means yes, he would very much like that!", Aurelia translated the obvious, "But only for good little Sand Wolfies!"
She even raised her finger at the threat, throwing a wink at Marcella.
Then, silence, for a moment, before she was serious.
"Grandmother wants to speak the two of us. She assured me, that it would be alright.", she said and looked Marcella into the eyes. "So... how about we face the Old Dreadnought?"

Okan bowed his head lightly to the two cousins, basically acknowledging their existence.
They were of little to no import to him, if he was honest, the King being the one he was here for. He knew, what sort of person Edgar was thanks to both his sister and Aurelia, who had met him during a hunt hosted by a Prince of Waldmark-Gnadenstein not too long ago.
Still.
"A pleasure to meet you.", he said to both, politeness being important, then turning back to Aceus: "I'm afraid, that there will not be much enjoyment. Mother and Father want to speak you and so does Fara." He let a beat pass. "Let's get it over with."

At the top, a man in his early forties stood, white-haired, piercing blue eyes, wearing a button-down shirt, a leather jacket over his arm, and dark pants, a similar colour scheme to the rest of the vessel's crew.
Qadir rose, saluted.
"Permission to bring the guests aboard, Lord-Commander?", she asked the man.
He smiled, nodded. "Of course, the lovely ladies may come aboard!", he permitted and stepped aside. He would offer a hand to them, if they needed a bit of help at the top of the ramp.

The girls all steppe aboard when given permission to join and gave a respectful greeting bow "Thank you for having us." They all said then took a seat. "It sounds like you know us already but if I again may introduce my little group. I am of course, Yuzuki Shijou, but Yuzu is fine. My two best friends, Yuki Yuna and Harukaze Souma. "It's true..." yuki replied "B-but we're so happy that Yuzu-chan brought us along and in first class too!"

Sinope
As usual, the day started early for the sailors of the SMS Pommern, or, as her crew called her 'Seeadler 2, diesel-powered boogaloo.'
At 0400 hours, the midnight watch turned in, while the rest of the crew awoke, ate quickly, and went to their stations.
At 0800 the first watch swapped out.
At 1200, the second watch swapped out.
So on and so forth, every 4 hours a different fourth of the crew swapping out for another. Of course, sometimes, in pirate-infested areas, this changed to 12-hours shifts by half of the crew at once. While the ship had passed the Strait of Hormuz without any problems, at Malacca a trio of pirate vessels had mistaken the Pommern for an easy target, only to have their engines shot out by the Oberbootsmann's Wz. 35 anti-tank rifle. Automatic weapons from the rest of the crew turned the actual pirates into fish chum.

At last, though, the windjammer puttered into port, the low hum of the diesel engine fading as the ship eased up to the dock.
The gangplank lowered, and the first off was Korvettenkapitän Fredrick von Mücke. Following him was Marie Ernst Glück.
How the grizzled old naval officer had met the 20-year-old college student was the subject of many rumors, some of them more...slanderous than others. In truth, the story was much simpler; the son of one of von Mücke's comrades had introduced her to him, and they had taken a liking to each other.
Of course, that's boring, so the gossiping and rumor-mongering went on, much to the annoyance of the subjects of those rumors.

Fredrick approached a customs official. "Korvettenkapitän Fredrick von Mücke, at your service. I command the Pommern, over there. Are there any forms that need to be signed, or any searches to be performed?"
"Furthermore, I submit that Carthage NSG must be destroyed." t. Marcus Porcius Cato

When the captain of the Aleilaf hailed Alexander he smiled and raised a bottle of alcohol in acknowledgement at the cordial gesture. Alexander was pleasantly surprised by how the Aleilaf looked. As he admired it from his vessel his eyes wandered until he saw a ship pulling into the harbour that he knew all to well. Before him laid the Polish Prussian Commonwealth SMS Pommern, commanded by Fredrick von Mücke. With a smirk on his lips, Alexander checked that there was a clip of ammunition in his pistol and his naval academy saber was securely fastened to his hip. Once he checked these two essential pieces of equipment he added some more tobacco to his pipe and sauntered down the gangplank and towards the Pommern. Upon reaching the dock next to the Pommern he stood tall and spoke in a loud but slow Chuckian drawl while he unsheathed his saber,

Compared to the harbour pilot's and customs patrol launch that was coming out to greet Zoe and Micky, the Luna Mysteria travelling at a headdy 5 knots was somewhat akin to a snail, in fact a snail's pace would probably be faster, its small diesel engine chugging away as it is navigated by Michaela "Micky" Michelska under the watchful eye of Zoe mariner.

Upon being greeted by the customs launch, Zoe smiled, "welcome aboard, papers and passports are in the cabin just behind the door", There however was a problem, not with the paperwork, just that Micky could feel the launch's twin high performance propellers causing a suction and the stern of the Luna was getting ever closer to the launch and so Micky began to advance the engine to which it responded by picking up its RPM rate, ...eventually, Micky turned to the customs official,
"excuse me but we're now at full power and your launch is sucking us in, im pretty sure you don't want your boat scratched", sure enough the boat's auxiliary diesel engine was now giving everything it had but with even with a strong through of the rudder the stern of the boat was getting perilously close to the launch until the two bow waves met, acting as a cushion between the two boats.

Inside the boat were 3 passports, one in the name of Michaela Michelska, one in the name of Zoe Mariner, and the third was a pet passport belonging to a small ginger and white cat called Jax, he was curled up on the bed that sits under the rear deck at the back of the galley, curled up, under his paw a small toy mouse. Zoe turned to the customs official, "expecting many for the festival?" she asks, following the customs officer inside the boat, part expecting the boat to be searched as after all, they have a job to do. Jax just opens one eye, sees who has come in and recognises Zoe, letting out a meow, hoping to get a fuss.

To Pony, off-world and fantasy nations, note; alien beings, fantasy beings can't cross into this universe and write from their perspective, as it's based on a MODERN TECH HUMAN ONLY SETTING SORRY!! This also includes Cloned humans as M/T technology has not progressed in cloning entire humans yet. PS I don't do war RP's either.

"Fredrick you Scurvy Sonuva Bitch Bilge Rat! We have business to settle!"

Fredrick whirled around and unsheathed his sabre, smirking. "Alexander, you magnificent son of a malnourished Russian whore! Come and face me!"

A traumatized, but recovering, MT-Early PMT/FanT constitutional monarchy consisting of a personal and constitutional union of two Realms. Features: near-universal gun ownership, governmental dysfunction, terrified Christinaslander Air National Guard personnel counting down the days until they rotate back home, and an eternal standoff with the last of it's former oppressors.
