AHSCA wrote:"Ah Kana! Yes I spoke to her the week before coming here! She's told me a lot already about her life as a married woman! She was nervous at first about becoming a fisherman with her husband but she says she really likes it and loves being with him. And go figure she's already pregnant with their first child!"

AHSCA wrote:"Ah the fact my friend is ready to have her first child is reason for us to give pause and think about our family!" Satou nodded. "I suppose there's many bridges we'll cross when we arrive at them but I hope again we can find a way to raise our child or children in a way that can teach them the values of both our cultures. The beauty and simplicity of island life with the hardships that make us stronger, the generosity of your culture." She realized she only found one thing to praise "Of course I know there's many more great aspects about your life here and I'm still learning...Of course school is a must, very important as you remember my granny was a school teacher herself!"
Satou tried to move on before digging herself deeper. "You know naming wise, tradition in the islands is the father would name the sons and mothers name the daughters. Well we're two women so probably get the best of both worlds by each of us getting to pick a first name and a middle name. Middle names aren't common in AHSCA but I think they are here, yes?"

AHSCA wrote:"oooh those names are so pretty! Perhaps consider them for the names for our children. could be something like Catherine Sadoko Dileva or Shinka Sophia Dileva. Shinka was my mother's name ya know." setting her empty cup of tea and finished plate aside she agreed and stood up. "Yes, let's get going."

Tess leaning in to Satou to keep warm was perfect for the lovely dovey couple to walk together. "I feel great! The dress is really heavy that keeps me warm." It was the perfect outfit for a day like this. Satou knelt down to pick up a clump of snow rolling it up into a nice little ball and tossing it harmlessly off. "Ahaha so that's what its like to make a snowball!"

AHSCA wrote:"I like the idea of playing later! I can't wait." They entered the park which was just as snow covered as everything else but the nature of it was different from the city and was even more pretty. Seems a lot of people were out here having fun in the snow. Satou was giddy with anticipation and joy, awaiting her turn. "Oh no trouble, still plenty to admire here! This is a nice park here!"

AHSCA wrote:"Okay." She nodded. A few minutes later the two were able to grab their skates. Tess helped Satou with them getting them laced up and taking off the rubber guards on the blades. Slowly and gingerly they made way onto the ice, Tess helping Satou along. It wasn't too much longer that Satou was able to get her balance down and start gently skating along, still arms linked with Tess but she wasn't as wobbly as before. "Hey, this is fun! Still getting the hang of it but I think it's really fun"

Let, right, left right" she went through the motions of getting her skates one foot in front of the other and she was really getting better. "Yeah this is pretty simple! Wooooh" Just as soon as she said that she fell but she shook it off getting back up. "Well, I guess I won't be doing any tricks soon!"

AHSCA wrote:"I will serve your command, Ma'am! A loyal soldier in a snow war!" she joked gliding along with Tess in her hand. After a few minutes Satou again requested to break free to try again on her own, keeping it simple a light glide and turn and this time she managed the turn without a hitch. "Eee I did it! I can skate now!"

Whatever, even if it wasn't Olympic quality, it sure was amazing to this islander who never saw actual ice skating in motion. it was amazing watching Tess do the trick and she jumped for joy at it! "Wow it was so amazing, Tessy, that's incredible!"

AHSCA wrote:"That sounds like a nice idea, one more pass and we can go." She agreed and the two skated one last circle around and returned their skates put their shoes back on and now could roam the park. Deeper in, it was even more beautiful. "This place must be lovely at night?"
