St. Augustine University in the town of Dulfwood

St. Augustine University is one of the most prestigious university's within the High Kingdom of Camelone, first being established in 1346 AD under the patronage of the then pagan House Thorgest as the Great Lodge of the Aesir so as to be the training grounds for generations of warriors and leaders. The original curriculum revolved around the sacred arts of the Norse people, martial arts, poetry, and rhetoric with some of the greatest heroes and gallowglass warriors being alumni of the Great Lodge. It would be with in 1501 AD when the Great Lodge would be reformed to St. Augustine University, named after both the great Bishop of Hippo and the great warrior hero of the same name. Nowadays the curriculum revolves around a traditional Christian liberal arts education as well as the legends and laws of Camelone so as to train the next generation of knights, ladies, and leadership. The squire program is known to have produced some of the most disciplined and fierce knights and warriors crediting their Norse heritage and nature for the deeds of their alumni. The Most Knowledgeable Lady Mairin O'Hannagain, Brehorn of the Estates, is an alumni from St. Augustine University and just another example of the prestige and greatness of the university.

During the Reign of the Great Heathen the Great Lodge of the Aesir was the site of a pitched battle where the legendary warrior Augustine Torstensson, a convert to Christianity, led the rearguard action to protect the civilians and tomes of knowledge that were being evacuated. It was due to his actions that most of the knowledge was preserved and he is the most celebrated warrior of Dulfwood whose death is a day of respect and feasting.

With a rich history and a just as rich list of alumni St. Augustine University is the choice of anyone who is wishing to get a leg up in the world through an educational tradition that reaches to the very soul of Camelone.

Dulfwood
A town that sits on the pristine Aughisky River with a population of about 2,400 individuals that is dotted with many small shops, bars, and workshops as well as the existence of a public square where plays and community gatherings are held in conjunction with the university. The forests around the town are said to be haunted by a curse from the Great Heathen, most notably the Blood Cave Forest, and if you find yourself stranded out in the countryside freeholders will be more than happy to allow you to stay the night.

Immersion Programs
Squire Program- The student will be enlisted and train alongside the squires to be tutored in the arts of war and etiquette that is appropriate for the new generation of knights of Camelone. Squires will be housed in barracks on campus grounds and alongside their regular classes they will be required to participate in martial training and education of the knightly rituals and symbolism. Expect grueling physical regimes and a program of strict religious life to couple with the sense of warrior brotherhood that you will forge with the other squires.
Requirements: Male, Christian, Conversationalist level in Camelonean Gaelic, fluent in Camelonean Gaelic is recommended though

Cultural Program- The student will be housed with one of the local families of Dulfwood so as to be fully immersed within the culture of Camelone. The household will accept the student into their clan for the extent of their studies at St. Augustine University and be treated as a member of the clan.
Requirements: Advanced level in Camelonean Gaelic, Willingness to look past cultural misunderstandings

Standard Program- A dorm will be reserved for the student, either a single or a double depending on the amount of foreign students, and they will experience the campus culture of St. Augustine University. There are many events every week such as weekly plays, concerts, poetry and ode recitation to name a few.

Personality: James is a stern and serious adolescent man, who will have to live up to the task of managing and ruling a rural community near the Graniziani "Granitian" Mountain ranges of Nova Urbinum. He's pious and charismatic, but he lacks a certain sense of compassion because he was drilled to think only of himself and family by his father. He can be reserved, but he's very outgoing and social towards people that've gained his trust.

Background: James Malcolm Forbes is the son of John Grant Forbes, Head of clan Forbes and governor of Briemi sul Tiravae in the Urbinumum province of Nova Lothian. He was raised in Briemi, and is the oldest of 4 children. His family is the controller of the town of Briemi and the outlying farmlands, although that title grants the family little more than a bit of respect from the locals. His father worked as a high-level public servant and represented the Scots immigrants in the prince's council for 4 years. His dad was admired throughout the Scottish territories for his pragmatism and bipartisanship, choosing to be effective rather than political. His mum was a stay-at-home Mum and worried about the children while his father was away. He felt kind of disconnected to his father, which caused his quasi-rebellious behaviour. It's not as if James and his father argued a lot, but they had wildly different opinions on many subjects. To make sure that James could inherit the titles and function as a charismatic nobleman, his father recommended him to study Scots history at St. Andrew's College, which he's been doing with glee.

He recently heard about an opportunity to go to Camelone to study there, with a prestigious university offering students exhange years abroad. He felt that it was a good idea to take a year in Camelone to learn more about their culture and his own lineage, possibly learning some things that could help his and his community further later on, when he would inherit the titles from his dad.
Why they wish to attend St. Augustine University?: J.M. Forbes has always had an interest in his lineage, and in his clan's history. Their departure from Scotland and commision in the Papal Armies of New Urbino were due to their defeats at the hand of the Camerons. The family fled Scotland during th Marian wars and settled in the land of Noba Urbinum. Granted, they could've traveled to Canada or the thirteen colonies, but the Forbes clan felt that they could help integrate other Scots immigrants and resolve religious issues among the peasant folk around the inland mountains of New Urbino.

Some bits of his family, those who sides with the Camerons and betrayed their family, stayed in Scotland and eventually went overseas to Camelone in the late 17th century. James wants to know how they lived, and whether there are still ancestors of his living in Camelone. He's also had a great interest in Celtic history and culture in general, and he feels that studying abroad might help him.

Level of Comprehension of Camelonean Gaelic: Intermediate usage of Camelonean Gaelic (learnt to speak some Gaelic from ethnic minorities in Berramy and clan educators)

James pulled back the charging handle on his G3. Normally, all young men between the ages of 17 and 23 were required to fulfill six months of military service. Most of the aristocracy and oligarchs completely disregarded this policy, though, and let their kids go to high-class universities while making sure that they were too "physically unfit" to be conscripted by bribing doctors to diagnose false illnesses. Forbes was a bit of an exception, though. He hadn't opposed the idea of military service, and was very down to earth about entering the armed forces if his country required him to do it. If the peasants and workers could do it, then the upper classes of civilization could do it too. He felt that being experienced with firearms would be a good idea, because he could train federal troops in Novum Aberden' or Berramy later on. His father had been opposed to it, though, valueing James's education over the six-month service.

The two came to a compromise, and James decided to attend field trainings in his ivy league university. Most other male students going there were also keen to be able to defend themselves and know the basics of training and equipment. So a small platoon-sized of 32 men trained at St Andrew's uni, with the university hiring high-quality instructors. The main battle rifle of the armed forces was the G3, the firearm that James was aiming at plastic targets at approximately 35 meters range. He and a couple of his mates were concentrating short bursts of 7.62mm bullets at the targets, until the practice was shortly interrupted by an instructor telling James to clear his weapon and rise from the ground.

James got up, and saw a man in a postal office uniform in front of him. The postal office man was an Italian of the mediterranean race, completely different to the range of nordic faces along campus. "Master Forbès...", the Italian hardly managed to formulate a proper English sentence, so James tried to be accomodating to him in Italian. "What is it that you want to tell men?" he asked the postman, in Italian. "A letter from the university of Sancte Augustino, in Cameloné, Master Forbès." The Italian reached a letter out to the 20-year-old who thankfully took it. He didn't feel like stopping training and rapidly checked the paper for any important notices, until his eyes stumbled on "Your request to travel to Camelone and attend the St Augustine University have been reviewed and accepted."

Forbes slung the G3 on his back and walked back to the armament stalls before thanking the instructor for his great work and expertise. He carefully dispensed the battle rifle in one of the containers, and got dressed properly. His father had to know about this.

Louise sat in the waiting room hearing loud voices from the next room. The only other sound in this room was her breathing and the typing of Fedrick's computer. After what felt like an eternity Fedrick spoke "Louise... Kaiserin Victoria will speak to you know."
"How bad is it?"
"From what I have heard you have a good chance of ending up in the Imperial guard."
"The Gaurd?"
"Yes, the only Imperial guard in the whole Kaiserriech."
"I grovel as much as I can. Maybe into officer school."

Louise swallowed and opened the door. The door on the opposite length of the room had just closed. The Kaiserin sat at the end of long meeting table and was furious. Her young face was contorted with anger and spite and it was all directed at Louise. Louise sat into a seat as far away from the Kaiserin as possible. Victoria was silent for a moment and during time Louise shifted unfomtably in her seat.

Background: James Malcolm Forbes is the son of John Grant Forbes, Head of clan Forbes and governor of Briemi sul Tiravae in the Urbinumum province of Nova Lothian. He was raised in Briemi, and is the oldest of 4 children. His family is the controller of the town of Briemi and the outlying farmlands, although that title grants the family little more than a bit of respect from the locals. His father worked as a high-level public servant and represented the Scots immigrants in the prince's council for 4 years. His dad was admired throughout the Scottish territories for his pragmatism and bipartisanship, choosing to be effective rather than political. His mum was a stay-at-home Mum and worried about the children while his father was away. He felt kind of disconnected to his father, which caused his quasi-rebellious behaviour. It's not as if James and his father argued a lot, but they had wildly different opinions on many subjects. To make sure that James could inherit the titles and function as a charismatic nobleman, his father recommended him to study Scots history at St. Andrew's College, which he's been doing with glee.

He recently heard about an opportunity to go to Camelone to study there, with a prestigious university offering students exhange years abroad. He felt that it was a good idea to take a year in Camelone to learn more about their culture and his own lineage, possibly learning some things that could help his and his community further later on, when he would inherit the titles from his dad.
Why they wish to attend St. Augustine University?: J.M. Forbes has always had an interest in his lineage, and in his clan's history. Their departure from Scotland and commision in the Papal Armies of New Urbino were due to their defeats at the hand of the Camerons. The family fled Scotland during th Marian wars and settled in the land of Noba Urbinum. Granted, they could've traveled to Canada or the thirteen colonies, but the Forbes clan felt that they could help integrate other Scots immigrants and resolve religious issues among the peasant folk around the inland mountains of New Urbino.

Some bits of his family, those who sides with the Camerons and betrayed their family, stayed in Scotland and eventually went overseas to Camelone in the late 17th century. James wants to know how they lived, and whether there are still ancestors of his living in Camelone. He's also had a great interest in Celtic history and culture in general, and he feels that studying abroad might help him.

Level of Comprehension of Camelonean Gaelic: Intermediate usage of Camelonean Gaelic (learnt to speak some Gaelic from ethnic minorities in Berramy and clan educators)

James pulled back the charging handle on his G3. Normally, all young men between the ages of 17 and 23 were required to fulfill six months of military service. Most of the aristocracy and oligarchs completely disregarded this policy, though, and let their kids go to high-class universities while making sure that they were too "physically unfit" to be conscripted by bribing doctors to diagnose false illnesses. Forbes was a bit of an exception, though. He hadn't opposed the idea of military service, and was very down to earth about entering the armed forces if his country required him to do it. If the peasants and workers could do it, then the upper classes of civilization could do it too. He felt that being experienced with firearms would be a good idea, because he could train federal troops in Novum Aberden' or Berramy later on. His father had been opposed to it, though, valueing James's education over the six-month service.

The two came to a compromise, and James decided to attend field trainings in his ivy league university. Most other male students going there were also keen to be able to defend themselves and know the basics of training and equipment. So a small platoon-sized of 32 men trained at St Andrew's uni, with the university hiring high-quality instructors. The main battle rifle of the armed forces was the G3, the firearm that James was aiming at plastic targets at approximately 35 meters range. He and a couple of his mates were concentrating short bursts of 7.62mm bullets at the targets, until the practice was shortly interrupted by an instructor telling James to clear his weapon and rise from the ground.

James got up, and saw a man in a postal office uniform in front of him. The postal office man was an Italian of the mediterranean race, completely different to the range of nordic faces along campus. "Master Forbès...", the Italian hardly managed to formulate a proper English sentence, so James tried to be accomodating to him in Italian. "What is it that you want to tell men?" he asked the postman, in Italian. "A letter from the university of Sancte Augustino, in Cameloné, Master Forbès." The Italian reached a letter out to the 20-year-old who thankfully took it. He didn't feel like stopping training and rapidly checked the paper for any important notices, until his eyes stumbled on "Your request to travel to Camelone and attend the St Augustine University have been reviewed and accepted."

Forbes slung the G3 on his back and walked back to the armament stalls before thanking the instructor for his great work and expertise. He carefully dispensed the battle rifle in one of the containers, and got dressed properly. His father had to know about this.

While obtaining honor rolls and outstanding grades, she made fewer friends, as she became to herself quite more often, focusing more on her studies that led her to be accepted into OaTU Arran, one of Folaisia's renowned universities. This also lead her to be somewhat prideful of her achievements in high school, to which she lost more friends as a result. Today, Lucy remains a nice person to be around with after coming to the realization of how much damage the aforementioned behavior did her, albeit her competitive spirit and introverted trait still residing inside her.
