Sinope Harbour Festival (OOC, MT)

Hoist the sails!

The City of Sinope, one of Kyrenaia's largest harbour towns and certainly the largest harbour in the Ilkhanate of Megido, invites all owners of sailing vessels, all enthusiasts of sailing propulsion and everyone, who might want to join their ranks to Sinope, where, on the 23rd of Decembre, a large harbour festival celebrating exactly these ships will be held.
Amongst the many events planned for the day, there is a Tall Ship Parade, with the Sultana Herself taking the salute from the deck of the Harira, a concert of the famous singer Almak and other musicians of high renown, both from Kyrenaia and abroad, the Axeriding Teams of the Tabar Boys' Academy and the Durra'ah Boys' Academy and other will be competing for the Sailors' Trophy and many more - you will find a timetable for an overview attached below.

10:00 - Official opening of the Sinope Harbour Festival by Mayor Atif Eumda at the Grand Basin.
10:30 - Harbour Race of the Harbour Runners in the Grand Basin (projected end 11:30).
12:00 - Beginning of the Tall Ship Parade in the Grand Basin. The Sultana will take the Salute from the vessel Harira and will not hold a speech.
14:00 - Projected end of the Tall Ship Parade.
14:30 - Beginning of the Axerider's Contest for the Sailors' Trophy at the Merchant Navy Academy Training Field. Projected end: 17:00, plus awards ceremony 17:30.
15:00 - Concert of Halu (projected end at 16:00, plus encores 16:30) at the Sanie Alsilah (on tourist maps the Gunsmith's Court).
17:00 - Concert of Almak (projected end at 18:00, plus encores 18:30) at the Sanie Alsilah (on tourist maps the Gunsmith's Court).
18:45 - Concert of the Durra'ah Boys' Academy Big Band (projected end at 19:30, no encores) at the Sanie Alsilah (on tourist maps the Gunsmith's Court).
19:30 - Beginning of the Fireworks Show over the Grand Basin.
20:00 - Reenactment of the Attack on Sinope in 1768. Place: Grand Basin. Projected End: 22:00.
22:30 - Opening of the tabs (while you will be able to get a drink before that, the official concession stands, bars and restaurants will only be allowed to serve drinks after 22:30 - be aware, that the minimum drinking age for light stuff like beer in public is 14, while it is 16 for harder stuff like whiskey).
24:00/0:00 - Official End of the festivities.

Hello and welcome to the Sinope Harbour Festival of 2018!
A place to experience Kyrenaia, the Kyrenaians and many facetes of either while also, maybe, having your characters show off their sailing yachts a bit - and of course interacting with other people while (hopefully) having fun at the festival, which the metropolis Sinope will be holding.
The main event will be, of course, the Tall Ship Parade, but we will surely find things for your characters to do as well - for example visiting fellow sailors on their vessels big and small, visiting the booths and the festival... the options are almost limitless!
If you want to participate, fill out the Application and wait to be accepted. Start of the IC is set for the 23rd of December 2018.

Sadly, we will need...

1. No Godmodding, Metagaming or any of that stuff. No exceptions.

1.1. These rules can be changed, clarified or amended at any given time. I will inform of changes.
1.2. I am the OP. My word is law until one of the nice ladies and gentlemen with the red usernames comes around.
1.3. PG-13 is a thing that exists. Observe it.
1.4. IC on the IC, OOC on the OOC (read: here). If you wish to coordinate and cooperate with your fellow RPers to write posts, feel absolutely free to do so - in fact, feel encouraged to do so.

2. No murders and violence only when all parties involved (me, you and the one you want to hit) agree. And even then, the violence will not last for very long. No exceptions.
3. Focus of this RP are the interactions of the characters and less the ships themselves. You can go into as much detail as you like about them (God knows, that I will ; )), but that is not mandatory.

3.1. No MT-Worthy warships. And no, no WW1, WW2 or Cold War Warships either. So no guided missile cruisers, no aircraft carriers, no ballistic missile submarines, no nothing of that sort. This is a peaceful gathering of peace and no place to show off your newest toys. No exceptions (not even myself).
3.2. To clarify: If the sailing ships you come with are, for example, the Gorch Fock of your Navy, then by all means, bring them.
3.3. The question "Have you read and understood the rules?" is to be answered with "Chop down the mast!" No exceptions.
3.4. The vessel may have auxiliary engines, though, but it's major mode of getting around must be sails.

4. ALL Kyrenaian NPCs, be they other visitors, crews of the vessels or whatever, are played by me and ONLY by me, due to cultural particularities. No exceptions.
5. Humans and Humanoids only. Sorry, Pony-People. No exceptions.
6. If you use an image to represent your characters, please either hotlink it or use spoilers. Anime-style character images are allowed, but not mandatory.
7. If you have multiple characters but only one ship, then fill out multiple character applications, but only one Sailing Vessel Application. Same vice-versa. Of course, people can come without sailing vessels as well, but I would prefer it, if you were to have at least one character.
8. The RP-sample has to be a sample of an RP in which you participated with the account you are applying with, and has to show how you interact with other players. No exceptions.

8.1. On special circumstances, I might allow RP-samples from NS-Social Networks such as Piffle, but the circumstances need to be very, very special.

9. Security is provided, so you can have a maximum of one (1) bodyguard per character. If you feel the need for more, there will be no need for it. No exceptions.

9.1. Ceremonial weaponry, like for example a sabre or salute canons or something of that sort (and let me stress: salute canons), is allowed. If that is abused, however, I will react accordingly. No exceptions.
