★Ace's Bizarre Adventure★
'Ace' Vega was Illyria's deadliest outlaw. Eleven million dollars was the price on his life, but most of his home planet was more interested in paying him to do dirty work. After a bit of a funny jumble -- of which whether Ace won or not is somewhat disputable -- with Castille's very own Nueva Uruguayan mafia, the crackshot found himself taking a bit of a vacation in Nueva Mexico. He was there and he had a handsome monetary incentive to stick around, so he set off to do some more of what he did best: dirty work. With his handy dandy smart-aleck translator sidekick, the literal felon criminal would emerge from his brief spell in the hospital ready to kick unnecessarily large amounts of ass, do some other, other kinds of dirty, drink absurd amounts of exotic drinks, and find out how to lose at every possible kind of gamble there ever was.
Finally, back on my two feet. Sure was borin' in there -- nurses ain't understand a word I said. thought Ace. His trip in the Castilian hospital was brief, but was a drag for a natural warrior like him. Unable to move, unable to fight, and it didn't help that they didn't really have anything that could entertain him. He couldn't understand what the folks on the television were saying -- not that he cared anyways -- and he frankly didn't like sleeping either. The front door of the Hospital opened to fresh air and glaring sunlight. "Well, well, well, ain't it a fine day in-- christ in heaven, it's hotter'n I though it would be. Ain't it a fine day in Space Mexico, though!" Ace began in a dramatic, rhetorical fashion. He'd fan himself with his hat for a moment. He began exploring the bustling city. He sought out something to do and quickly found that something in the form of a distant casino. He made a superspeed beeline towards it.
Soon enough, he found himself trying to ask a bartender whether or not they had a game that was pretty uncommon outside of Illysia.
"No hablo estandarte galáctico." and "No speak galactic standard." Those two phrases were all the bartender could really come up with, and Ace's attempts at charades and sign-language didn't do the trick either.
