TMFA 1990 World Cup comes to Irav

For the first time since 1966 the TMFA World Cup has come to Irav, the fourteenth edition of this international tournament was hosted by both North and South Irav. With both countries hosting matches inside their stadiums and with both Iravian teams competing against the world and perhaps more important; each other. The TFMA 1990 World Cup is the first of its kind to be broadcasted on television all around the world, with 26,82 billion non-unique viewers tuning in for the matches that were played from the third of January to the third of February.

The football tournament was won by North Irav, who won their third World Cup title, narrowly edging out the formidable Loracian team that steamrolled their way to the finals. The finale was played at the Adelaarshorst, a colossal stadium that can house over 96.000 supporters. After a thrilling game the North Irav team defeated the runners-up Loracia with 2-1. A strong South Iravian team finished in third place while the Hansans came in fourth.

The 1990 TMFA World Cup is widely regarded as an enormous spectacle in terms of the games. The teams managed to generate an average of 2,9 goals per game (151 goals overall), which is one of the highest scores up to this point. A record that is only beaten by the 1974 TMFA World Cup, which averaged out 3 goals per game. During the World Cup 52 different matches were played with an overall attendance of 2,67 million people (51.436 per match). The Loracian striker J. Bernard won the Golden Boot for scoring the most goals, he managed to put the ball in the net 7 times this World Cup.

It isn’t yet known which country will host the 1994 TMFA World Cup, but the world cannot wait for another spectacle to rival this one. We’ll leave this World Cup with the Northern Iravian capital in celebrations and cannot hope but wonder what the next tournament will be like.

Military Expansion Underway!

Today our glorious Emperor has announced that the authorized strength of the military will be expanded! The number of active divisions is to be raised, from 30 to 35, as well as the Creation of a new military district, District 7. This increase is occurring due to rising tensions across the globe. The Syndicalists are coming, and the Empire is prepared for them! Victory in the coming conflicts is assured but only if you do your part. Applications for voluntary service are now open, with opportunity for promotion and an automatic promotion to Senior Private with voluntary service. The Empire will weather any storm the Empire is Eternal!

In other news, Murderer Rick Harlot has been apprehend and was summarily sentenced to death. His drawing and quartering will be in the main square in Rache. Rick Harlot murdered Seventy-four of his fellow comrades who were all democracy activists. The Empire does not tolerate murderers, regardless of whom they murder they will be brought to Justice! Rick Harlot is a deprived vile man, who was arrested multiple times for fornicating with sheep several times in public. Rick is just an example of what the vile evil ideology called democracy does the to human mind. The Emperor knows whats best, and he will always guide is down the correct path! Long live the Empire! With the 1990 TMFA World Cup now behind us, it looks like football might be what is needed to unite North and South Irav. Two countries who have split during the late 1940’s over political tensions. Enormous successes were achieved by both teams who came in first and third respectively. And now, only three days after the end of the World Cup both countries have announced that they are going to be represented by a single football team.

This announcement was made yesterday by spokespersons of both football associations. Matches that were already planned will remain unchanged, but any new international games will be played against an united Iravian starting XI. And while players from both side of the border are represented, a majority of them have been recruited from the North.

‘’Klokwerk Oranje’’ (Clockwork Orange) is the nickname given to this new Iravian team as a result of their excellent adaptation of ‘Total Football’. The new head coach of this formidable team has been confirmed to be Lennard Zwarts, an excellent striker from the 70’s. Under his leadership it is expected that the men of Clockwork Orange will dominate the upcoming Continental Cup as well as become the favourites at the next world cup.

And with a new team comes a new stadium. The Adelaarshorst, the current largest stadium in both Iravian countries, can house over 96.000 people. This new stadium, which has been named the Valhalla Stadium will become the next largest stadium in Irav. With a total capacity of over 370.000 supporters it absolutely dwarfs the Adelaarshorst in the Westerkwartier. Upon the stadium its completion in 1992 it will become the largest stadium in the world by a comfortable margin.

Construction has already began a year ago, but will now be significantly sped up to open up for the Continental Cup. Here too a few games are expected to be played in the Valhalla Stadium. Built in Valkenburg, a city that sits on the border of North and South Irav, it is the perfect symbolisation of the coming reunification between the two nations.

Veriden Recovery Update: Going Swimingly

Veriden's recovery from the crisis that rocked it to its core back in 1986 had been going well for the past few years. However, as quoted in the report released by the department of economic affairs earlier this morning, the metaphorical "light at the end of the tunnel" is far closer than anyone thought prior. Even the DoEA was pleasantly surprised at this, stating in the prelude to the extensive 450 page report that "Growth of this scale could not of been predicted 4 years ago when the project first started. It would of been seen as not only improbable, but a fantasy. The country was nowhere near in a state to develop quickly."

Although certain areas of the economy(crop yields, average income, growth of domestic banking) are still below pre-1986 levels, for the first time since the crisis started certain fields have grown above the baseline set in 1986. The most notable of these areas is the technology and computing industry, which has in the past year skyrocketed in value, heavily due to the renowned computer company Century Micro Processors(CMP)'s release of the X010e1 microprocessor for home computers in august of 1989. The cause of this growth is quoted in the paper to be partially from investments from fellow Cardinal pact nations and investments abroad bringing back needed capital to grow the Veridian economy, but mostly on the reform put in place by the Veridian Central Party in the past years, which brought stability and structure the state and economy that had been lacing in the prior decades. No matter the cause, Veriden is now much closer to a near full recovery.

The crisis of 1986 still looms above many in the nation, as a sizable chunk of Veridian soil and people now live under totalist and military states. these despot nations broke away due the near collapse of the Assembly due to political infighting among the 2 former largest parties. It caused a 2 year long war that cost tens of thousands of lives and put many projects on standstill, as well as a massive loss in international influence. In recent years, all but 5 of theses states have been reclaimed, and their people liberated. However, as the report said in the final conclusion, almost 80 million former Veridians live under these 5 states, as well as many former economic assets that would bring Veriden back up to its former strength. The report heavily suggests for these assets to be regained as soon as possible. Whether these will be taken by force or not still remains unseen. However, the people of Veriden long for the day they can all live free under the state we rebuilt.

Decisive Iravian action in Oshua

''My fellow Iravians.

Today at 4 o’clock central time elements of the Third Fleet under the distinguished admiral Koert Ottenhof have assaulted military targets in Oshuan territory. Air- and missile strikes have been launched at several munition depots and a naval base. These targets have been carefully selected to maximize the damage done to Oshuan military infrastructure and their ability to carry out operations in the future. And I can report to you that our forces have succeeded in this mission.

In the weeks leading up to these retaliatory strikes, I have repeatedly warned chairman Illivat Kaskae to refrain from funding Syndicalist activities in sovereign Northern Iravian territory. More recently I have made it clear that Irav would act swiftly and decisively if these activities were not stopped at once. On the 9th of February Syndicalist rallies were organized in the Nunatak province, during which seven Iravian citizens were killed. Little more than a week later on the 18th of February three Iravian citizens were killed during a shooting at a shopping mall. In both instances the source was traced back to Syndicalist state-sponsored terrorism in Oshua.

Syndicalism is not only a danger to the Iravian people, but to the developed western world as a whole. This ideology has a long track record of aggressive behavior and unnecessary violence against innocent nations around the globe. It has openly declared its desires to achieve the ‘’world revolution’’ and subject everyone to their terrible and absurd ideas. Therefor it is our task to avert situations like these wherever they may arise.

We believe that this retaliatory action today against military targets in Oshua will not only diminish chairman Kaskae’s ability to export this terrorist ideology, but that it will provide him with incentives to alter his foreign policy and willingness to partake in this ‘’world revolution’’. I have no doubt that this so-called revolution shall carry on in the minds of other radicalized individuals around the globe, but be warned that as long as I serve as the Commander-in-Chief of these armed forces. That we will uphold our values of western civilization. There shall be no sanctuary for Syndicalism and Totalism anywhere in this world. Today, we have done what we had to do. If necessary we will do so again.

To the men and woman who carried out this attack; it is an honour to be your Commander-in-Chief.

The Congress of Groenewoud-Westeind has come to an end. Representatives from the sovereign governments of Astor, Esken, North Irav, and South Irav have agreed upon creating an economic alliance called the Zollverein. What this economic alliance does is eliminating tariffs between the various members as well as creating a single market of a little more than 160 million citizens.

’’We are convinced that this is a step in the right direction. My college [North Iravian representative] and I have come here with one goal. Namely promoting unity between our two brotherly nations and looking back on today it is safe to conclude that this goal is one step closer yet again.’’ These were the words spoken by the South Iravian ambassador Annemarie Verhaegen.

’’We are happy with the progress that we have made here today. With the goal of promoting unity between the South and North in mind, I definitely believe that this is one step in the right direction. You need to build a solid foundation before you can put down a house. And that is what we’re doing right now, we’re building the foundation for reunification.’’ This was the statement made by the North Iravian ambassador Ruud Jonker.

One thing that immediately becomes clear is that both North and South Irav have their sights set on an eventual Iravian reunification. In a joint declaration this intent too was confirmed. A press conference that was held a few hours ago has let us know that the North and South intend to reunite sometime in 1994. But that work towards this eventual goal is progressing at a steady phase.

No one knows why both Iravian neighbours Esken and Astor have been included in these negotiations, but signs indicate that their fate is also closely tied to that of both North and South Irav. But neither party included has chosen to comment on that fact, though all four ambassadors did put emphasis on strengthening their relations with each other.

President Robert Sterling 21st Century Plan

Last night President Sterling laid out Timeria's new development plan to transition into the 21st century. President Sterling won the election in November with overwhelming support. After finishing his 2 terms in the Senate, President Sterling announced his candidacy. Following the Democratic Union primary, President Sterling selected Jack Harper to run with him as his VP. Jack Reacher was serving as the governor of Maelea and ended his reelection campaign. Sterling and Reacher both grew up in Maelea and have been best friends their whole life.

President Sterling's Plan calls for an economic shift to make the country less reliant on oil. The shift includes a focus on Timeria own energy sector and the transition to a more clean energy grid. Currently, about 8% of Timeria's energy comes from emission-free sources. There are also plans to increase the number of nuclear power plants in Timeria to 40 by 2020. President Sterling is also looking to cooperate Internationally to promote a global green movement. While some have criticized the President including the Lawful Civic Coalition, he took the time to confront them directly stating that ...oil is a finite resource and it's not good for our environment. This plan isn't going to put a bunch of workers on the streets, it's meant to make sure Timeria doesn't lose a step when it runs out."

The President's economic plan includes additional government support and tax breaks to the Defence Sector, Technology sector, and pharmaceuticals. In San Loma companies continue to move to the area as growth has exceeded expectations. Tempest Technologies also announced their Northern Headquarters would be opening in Q2 1992 which is expected to bring an additional 32,000 jobs to the area.

Included in the plan is a plethora of social policies to help support the large number of refugees and asylum seekers that fled to Timeria. The Senate has already started work on plans which would help in the consolidation of resources available and the development of Timeria's Immigration services. The need for additional border security has been clear over the last decade as the Department of Homeland Security struggled to deal with the flood of migrants.

To help reduce the number of migrants from the North, Timeria's foreign aid budget has budget has steadily increased. President Sterling also hopes to work with Testral and designated it a "safe-third country". This would give Homeland Security more flexibility and allow them to deny any migrants that have been accepted in Testral. This will also help to weed out potential threats.

Over the decade the military will also face changes stemming from President Sterling's 21st Century plan. General Mercedes Martínez has described the plan as "...ambitious... more of a doctrine change". President Sterling hopes to build a 21st Century fighting forces to confront future threats. The biggest coming in the form of the Timerian Advanced Fighter Program which would develop a 5th Generation aircraft to replace aging platforms. The Air Force currently has a long list of requirements and multiple companies have already started bids to win a contract.

The Department of Defense hopes to construct at least 3 bases abroad to support naval units moving through high traffic waters and reduce the amount of time sailors are at sea. There are also plans to reduce Timeria's nuclear arsenal. Currently, the Navy maintains the largest number of warheads at 200, most in storage or deployed onboard submarines. There were talks of retiring a number of submarines before finally settling on decommissioning about 15% of warheads in storage. Most were built in the 60s while newer warheads will be active and deployed on a variety of platforms. The Marine Corp will also take up a role as the Marine Rafales were approved to operate nuclear weaponry.

President Sterling also hopes to work closely with Queen Camilla and the 12 Noble Clans of Timeria. Their power and influence in Timeria would give President Sterling more political power in Infinity. No other President has ever received support from all 12 clans. President Sterling hopes to evaluate their role in Timeria and find a place for them in the future plans of Timeria.

The border is open, North and South Irav reunite!

After forty-years it seems that both North and South Irav are finally reuniting, after the international border has been thrown wide open by the Northern Iravians. The border between the North and the South has remained closed since the day the two countries split nearly forty-two years ago from today. Now that the last opposition to Iravian unification has been nullified it seems that the two Iravian countries might finally unify after all.

After a mistake was made during a press conference this afternoon. Tens of thousands citizens from both the North and the South had flocked to the border, leaving the border guards dumbfounded and without direct orders from their respective chain of command. Seeing no other way out, officers on both sides threw open the border-crossings. Without the heavily guarded border that separates them it is expected both countries will sign the documents necessary for unification in March of this current year.

During a press-conference organized by the Northern Iravian government the spokesperson made an enormous mistake, which had ultimately led to this. The conference was organized because the government planned to announce a new travel policy, which relaxed the rules on traveling and living aboard in South Irav a fair bit. As the announcement was made the spokesperson misread his lines and announced that the border would be opened to all North Iravian citizens. Not having noticed his mistake a journalist asked spokesperson Gorissen if this meant ‘Freedom of travel’, Gorissen replied ’’Yes, of course.’’ The mistake was made worse when a second journalist asked him when these rules would come into effect. Instead of answering that the rules would be implemented January first of 1991, he simply looked at his notes and replied: ’’For as far as I am aware, it is effective immediately and without delay.’’

This of course triggered a mass migration of citizens from both the North and the South to force open the border between the two countries. As the border guards hadn’t been made aware by this error, and instead received the right instructions that travel laws would be relaxed next year they simply didn’t know what to do. The Valkenburg border-crossing was the first one to be thrown open at 18:29 hours, only half an hour after the announcement was made on television.

Several other checkpoints quickly caught on to what was happening and at 18:35 hours, after a parade of thousands of people marched towards the border. The border-crossings at Charlotteburg, Westeind, and Groenewoud had also been thrown wide open. Oldenburg, which was the largest and most important checkpoint on the North and South Iravian border yielded under the pressure of the masses on 18:52 hours a good twenty minutes after the first crossings had opened. An hour later all hundred-and-twelve checkpoints along the border had been opened and a continuous stream of people was pouring through on both sides.

Both the North and South Iravian parliaments caught on to this revolution as soon as it happened and opened a direct line of communications between each other. As festivities had began all throughout the two countries and unification was closer than ever the government put out the announcement that unification was officially happening. Both the North and the South of the country had agreed to push forwards reunification in a lighting speed and hope to have signed the necessary documents this coming March of April.

International flights are being rerouted from all over the world to the international airports in both North and South Irav and citizens from both countries are reportedly given the first available tickets back home to celebrate this monumental moment with their fellow countrymen. Both North and South Irav have also ordered their respective state-owned airlines to give a free-pass to Iravian citizens looking to return to the motherland. Thus far it seems that in the three hours since the border has been broken open, more then seven thousand Iravian nationals have taken them up on this offer. With many thousands more being expected to report to various international airports around the world in the coming hours.

This country is not going to sleep anytime soon and authorities expect the crowds to party in the streets for the coming two to three days. Emergency services have been put on high alert, but in between the international border being thrown open and the crowds partying through the streets of Irav’s major cities no wounded people have been reported thus far. All Iravian nationals have until the fifth of March to get a free travel ticket back to the Iravian homeland.

The Crown has also announced, that due to recent events, the military will be undergoing yet another expansion! Military districts 8 and 9 will be formed along the Iravian Border, these districts will be composed of Entirely regular forces! By 1992 the military will have expanded to 450 thousand active duty personnel! This is truly a feat the that will hold the world in awe at our might! Irav prepares for war!


Task Force November is being dispatched to the Chinouhan Ocean

A storm is brewing on the other side of the Chinouhan Ocean, as a war has broken out between the two former Syndicalist allies Elguiar and Althaicao. The disagreement, that quickly devolved into a full-blown armed conflict, began over the rare-earth mineral Promethium. Althaicao looking to swing at its larger neighbour decided to increase its Promethium production, something that would harm the economy on the other side of the border. After tensions had been building for months Elguiar had enough of it and invaded its smaller neighbour over the course of three days.

This was five days ago and Althaicao has been firmly occupied by the various armies of Elguiar with little in the way of interference from the international community. On the first and second day of the invasion Iravian ambassador Erick Tomesen met with the Elguiarian dictator, pleading for a peaceful solution to this conflict. Though these pleads had fallen on deaf ears with the government. On the first day of the occupation of Althaicao the Iravian government announced that it would be leading an international coalition to liberate the occupied desert state.

The next few days were spent sending delegates and ambassadors to the Global Concord to plead with the international coalition for military aid in the upcoming war. Though the Iravian delegation was met with more criticism than praise for its actions regarding the conflict. When faced with this criticism from the international community general Esther Moelaert simply replied with ’’You might not like what we’re doing, but you can either lead us, follow us, or get out of our way!’’ With these words the Iravian delegation returned home, with only Veriden having confirmed its conditional military assistance.

As the deadline on the Iravian ultimatum is nearing is expiration date the world is wondering whether the Iravian nation is simply bluffing or if they are willing to flex their military muscle. Though voices within the military and the government have remained very clear: Irav is going to war over Althaicao if the occupation is not seized before the day after tomorrow. Experts have speculated that the United Forces simply need these two more days to get their logistics network up to speed with the increasing deployments.

One thing however is certain. Military personnel and equipment have already arrived at predetermined destinations in both Esken and Hansa, both close allies of the Iravians. Civilian airports have been repurposed for strategic bombers, harbours are operating at decreased capacity to assist military and civilian vessels struck by enemy weaponry and extensive medical facilities have been opened in Atmora, Esken, and Hansa. Further increases in Iravian military capacity shows that the nation is very serious in its goals to liberate Althaicao from the Elguiarian occupation.

Osea Subway Attack

Just last week terror struck Osea as Wecovian ultranationalist used sarin gas on 2 subway lines killing 21, severely injuring 43, and causing temporary vision problems for over 1,000 others. The attack was carried out by 12 men who were later all killed in a gunfight with police. The following day 2 men were arrested in a raid on the Eastern Park Resort & Spa, both played a support role in the attack.

Today the city reopened some lines in the city as emergency services continue to work around the clock. The city of 26 million residents has been on high alert as schools and highly congested areas are filled with police. It's still unknown if another attack could be launched but police have issued a general statement that another attack is unlikely. President Sterling also arrived in the city yesterday and has been busy working with local officials and making public appearances. While in Osea the President has worked with his cabinet to respond to the attack.

The group responsible for the attack has been added to the Official Terrorist Organizations list and a list of 26 names have been sent to the Wecovian government for extradition. President Sterling has also purged Timeria of people associated with the group, revoking around 60 visas. The KTS Shisui Uchiha along with its escorts have been patrolling the water around Weco. Their primary mission has been observation and reconnaissance. It is currently unknown if the Wecovian government has any connections to the attack but President Sterling and Admiral David Ingram have been adamant that Timeria be worry of all threats. "Timerian are currently living in a world full of threats and hostile states. The defense of Timeria and our freedom must be upheld at all cost." Admiral Ingram said this at the Navy's press conference in Infinity. With militaries around the world increasing their capabilities many have looked at Timeria's armed forces as lacking. General Mercedes Martínez confronted this by stating that "Our main goal will continue to be the defense of the Timerian continent and deep strike impunity. There are currently no plans to bring the military back to the size and level of the 1940s."

Fellow subjects! There has been a terrible tragedy in a far off land! The persons who committed the atrocious act have all be killed, but that doesn't end the witch hunt against the Crown or it's subjects! The Timerians have demanded that we extradite twenty-six subjects, who have done nothing to them! These patriots whose sole crime was to express support for the Empire will surely face death if they are extradited! The Empire will do no such thing unless proof of their involvement comes to light! A joint investigation must be conducted by Wecovian and Timerian authorities before blame will be laid. The Timerians further antagonize our glorious Empire built on the blood of our forefathers by sending naval vessels to conduct "Reconnaissance and observation" a polite way of saying they are spying on us! While we surely do not desire to escalate the situation, escalation appears to be our only option! Already the Emperor has dispatched Naval Squadron Eviscerator to ensure that our Waters are not violated by ANY foreign vessels! Should the Timerians attempt to enter our territorial waters it will be seen as an act of war, and accordingly actions will be taken! Furthermore the Emperor would like to end the widespread rumors among subjects of our Empire of whether or not the Empire possesses weapons of a nuclear caliber. The rumors are true. The Empire is armed and ready for any threat it faces!

Other developing events include the Iravian intervention against the Elguiarians! The Elguiarians are Syndicalists and therefore subhuman! The Empire will support the Iravians in their crusade against these sub-humans and will provide: Medical, Logistical and military support! Already a task force is being prepared and readied to be placed under Iravian command to obliterate these subhumans off the face of the Earth! The Proud soldiers of the 22nd Infantry Regiment, a total of 680 soldiers will form the first contingent! The Royal Wecovian airforce will provide the 7th Multirole squadron to transport and provide airsupport for these brave soldiers! President Sterling Responds

Following the actions that were taken by the Wecovian government, the Department of Defense has decided to recall the KTS Shisui Uchiha, which is one of four Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki-Class nuclear power supercarriers. The hostility and unwillingness to cooperate by the Wecovian government will surely damage relations as talk of sanctions and tariff have already spread around Infinity. Many expected a new order of sanctions on the Wecovian government and United Nations ambassador Laila Woll to speak at the next session on the attacks.

Even with this President Sterling has also expressed his willingness to work out a deal with the Wecovian government. A diplomatic team arranged by the Department of State was sent to Weco to set up and establish a team to conduct a joint investigation to hopefully solve this case.

Following the attack on the Osea subway attack and the worsening relations of Rache and Infinity. The Imperial Parliament has voted in favour of sending a Carrier Battlegroup consisting of 1 Lieseltania class aircraft carrier, 1 Gibraltar class assault carrier, 6 Anthold class cruisers, 28 St. Laurent class destroyers, and numerous support ships. In addition to the movement of warships and marines to protect the Wecovian waters, Chancellor Lyria has ordered tariffs on all Timerian goods.

Chief of the Defence Staff Grand Admiral Lord Mallory has stated the reason for the Alexandria sending warships towards Rache is too shield our allies from unjustified reprisals. And that Atmora will stand with Weco no matter the outcome!

Katherine II orders airstrikes against Elguiar!

Empress Katherine II has ordered the 388th Fighter Wing to begin airstrikes on the state of Elguiar in preparation for the following coalition invasion and eventual liberation of Althaicao. As the 388 FW softens up the Elguiarians the Fifth Army and the 78th Marine Division and the 19th Marine Division begin their preparations for war.

As the 388th Fighter Wing establishes air dominance over the Elguiarians, the Third Fleet leaves ISB Esquimalt on the mainland to regroup with the Fifth Army and 19th and 78th Marine Divisions. The Department of National Defence has stated the Third Fleet moving to Roscrea is to aid in the invasion of Elguiar and to blockade the Elguiarians and destroy their fledgling navy.

Chancellor Lyria and Defence Minister Liezen have invited the Iravian government to meet on the island of Roscrea to discuss the invasion of Elguiar and liberation of the Althaicaon people.

Fellow Subjects! These past few days are a dark reminder of the times of democracy! Subjects are rioting in the streets of their home towns and cities! Timerian Special Forces Kill Grant Webster

Last night Timerian special forces were able to kill Grant Webster. Webster has been connected to the Osean Subway Gassing and was identified as the primary sponsor. TIA agents were able to find a trail of transactions that all led back to Webster. TIA Secretary Hannah Oliver stated that "Webster was an ultranationalist and terrorist that helped to provide funding for the attacks in Osea. We don't believe Webster had any other involvement but our raid has provided valued Intel as we pursue other HVTs."

This is also the first time Timeria has officially recognized its use of drones. A Timerian drone was able to locate Webster and report his location to a black ops team in the country. It's unknown which team carried out the attack but many speculate that Timeria's unrecognized ANBU special forces carried out the attack. Some have also questioned if the elite Olympian team carried out the strike.
As Weco falls into unrest many have questioned how the Timerian government will respond. The KTS Shisui Uchiha which had been deployed to the region is still headed to its homeport in Leo Island and has left the area. Before returning to its homeport the Shisui Uchiha made a stop in Arden to deliver the first shipment of munitions. Nearly 10 tons of various ammunition were delivered to Arden at Naval Station Jill N. Kane. This is all apart of a deal to establish a Timerian naval base in Arden. President Sterling hopes that this can be the start of improved relations between our countries.

In Infinity President Sterling had to respond to Atmoran tariffs on all Timerian goods. In a shocking reveal, Chancellor Lyria ordered tariffs on all Timerian goods entering the country. President Sterling was disappointed as he stated "These tariffs were a bit of a shock but Timeria will continue its economic growth. There will be no retaliatory actions as Timerians should have the right to a competitive and free market. We hope that Atmoran companies continue to work with Timeria as we strive to be a place where business can flourish. We will allow Timerian companies to reevaluate their relationship with the Atmoran government as they see fit and we will look into closer relations with members of the Cardinal Pact."

Wavefly a Timerian grocery chain announced that it would be closing stores in Atmora. This has been the first Timerian company to respond to the tariffs and Timerians continue to watch the news for updates on the situation. The Timerian Bean also continues to drop value across the border which could make Timerian goods cheaper in Atmora in the coming years. The Timerian government is also looking to start a line of credit with stable democratic nations.

Subjects! It appears that war is upon us! Half of the Royal Airforce has defected to the Democratic cause, lead by General Bulgrun! The other half remains firmly loyalist and will fight to the death against the traitors! The Navy still refuses to aid either side! Maintaining that Wecovian sovereignty must be protected, and that the navy will be the one doing it. The Navy obviously cannot be relied upon and the Naval representatives in the regency council have all been arrested! Further more, a third of the army, mostly in the border regions has defected to the Rebel cause! General Rohm stated that they would not last long, as his loyal brave soldiers in the West will all fight to the death against the traitors. The Empire is in turmoil subjects! Conscription is in effect! All loyal subjects should report to their regiments at once! Do not report to your regiment if you are assigned to districts: HMZ, District 7 or District 5! These divisions are commanded by traitors to the Empire! In other news, an air raid warning is in effect for the Glorious capital, as traitorous strategic bombers of the Democratic airforce were intercepted enroute to the capital and destroyed!

Timerian Troops Start Yellow Meteor

Timerian forces have started their annual Yellow Meteor exercise. Yellow Meteor is a field exercise bringing together forces from each branch to conduct operations across the Timerian island. Forces are training to defend Timeria from an invasion. The exercise has been conducted every year since 1960.

Over 300,000 troops will take part in the exercise, including local militia forces; taking part Yellow Meteor is a requirement for all locally formed militias. Many have questioned the preparedness of militia forces as they lack a lot of government funding. Currently, around 2 million Timerians are registered to local militias but only about a third of those registered are active members. The largest being Osean Defense Force, with around 40,000 registered members. Timeria's noble clans also take part in the exercise with about 1,000 troops from each house.

As always protesters have come together in downtown Infinity to protest the clans Imera sect. The Imera sect has always been viewed with suspicion as many believe they train the children of the elite to be soldiers. The government in Infinity has long been quiet on the issue after their investigation found no signs of wrongdoing. Both Samurai special forces group and Shinobi have been connected to the sect.

Liberation of Althaicao has begun!


’’The liberation of Althaicao has begun.’’

This statement was delivered by Primarch Evert-Jan Boels as he took matters into his own hand and declared the beginning of Iravian airstrikes on military targets throughout Elguiar. It was a move that many had expected was coming, especially when the Atmoran nation under empress Katherine began its own military campaign. Any and all voices against involvement from the government have been silenced by the Primarch as he single-handedly declared Irav’s full military support in resolving the situation.

After beginning air strikes themselves, the Atmoran ministry of defense has invited its Iravian counterpart to the island of Roscrea. Here both militaries hope to work out a common policy, strategy, and solution to the ongoing occupation of Althaicao. As the bombers were sent to begin the carpet bombing of anything of military value, an airplane with the Iravian delegation was sent to the Atmoran island of Roscrea. To represent the Iravian military and her interests general Berend o’ Meilise and the secretary of defense Hans Braspennink.

The military has put out an order for the first 35.000 reservists to report to their barracks within two days, these reservists are responsible for the safety of the Iravian homeland as the United Forces are about to send 184.000 of their finest soldiers abroad to serve in Elguiar. These soldiers are to serve in the west of the country as the situation in Weco continues to decline further into civil war.

In more recent news. The Iravian military has officially drawn first blood in the liberation of Althaicao. Today shortly after 6 o’clock the submarine UFIN Ace of Spades was successful in sinking the Elguiaran carrier ESN Bayandor after the latter was struck with two torpedo’s. The Bayandor took little over an hour to sink after entire sections of the ship were ripped apart with explosions, something experts only consider to be possible with a nuclear-armed torpedo. These rumours however have been denied by the Iravian department of defense. As of 1990 the Bayandor remains the largest vessel to have been sunk by a submarine with a displacement of 65.000 tonnes.

Civil war in Weco leads to unity in Irav


The Wecovian civil war seems to be in full swing with nationalist and democratic forces frantically taking swings at each other. Elements of the Wecovian army and air force have defected and only the navy seems to have maintained any resemblance of unity within its ranks. The Iravian government has taken it upon itself to safeguard itself as well as Esken and Poldévie (both Wecovian neighbours) safe from any spill-overs. Something that its neighbours applaud.

In order to realize the defense of its neighbours the Iravian state as put forward one bill after another in the Zollverein. With an absolute majority of the votes being held by the Iravians most of the resolutions went through without much opposition. Nearly overnight the Zollverein alliance went from a largely economically connected pact to a federation of states spearheaded by the Westerkwartier. A single military force has been created encompassing all existing military assets of these four nations. Apart from that the Iravians also pushed for an enormous single market to encompass nearly 200 million subjects with free movement of people, labour, goods, and services.

If anything this new union seems more then sufficient in dealing with any spill-overs coming from the Wecovian civil war. And even seems to be prepared to take action to avoid the possibility of it happening. For now its unclear what path this new union will take, whether it will stick with the Cardinal Pact, or carve a pact of its own. Any path that it chooses however will be a wildly powerful one with the support of the Iravian state.

Eastmarch annexed by General Lusseveld

General Adolf Lusseveld of the Ninth Atmoran Army has marched his soldiers into the region of Eastmarch in order to establish law and order back into the region. For years Alexandria has stood silent as people in the Eastmarch lived in poverty, rampant crime and high corruption plagued the region. In addition to secure the Sesvenna mountains and preventing foreign powers from interfering in the region.

On the 12 March the 19th Armoured Division speared the invasion followed by the XX Corps and VII Corps, fighting continued until 5 April when General Lusseveld captured the cities of Katlenburg, Söhlde and Rüthen. Soon after capturing the major cities of Eastmarch, Empress Katherine II has appointed General Lusseveld as the High Commissioner to the newly created Imperial Territory of Eastmarch (Rijksland Oostmark).

Imperial Karryian Guard Unveils New Assault Rifle

The new Inf.Jgr-90 Assault Rifle on display at the IKG Arms Exhibition in Visania

The IKG has always had a habit of using the same old rifles that work. However this send to be changing, as the IKG made a surprise unveiling of a new rifle, which is uncharacteristically modern looking, at the IKG Arms Exhibition. The new rifle is still as reliable as previous rifles that have been in Service with the guard for decades now. However the weapons construction makes it lighter, as well as more compact, including a hybrid folding stock as a standard issue feature. The weapon accepts ammunition already currently in service, but may be chambered in other cartridges as well.

The Weapon is stated to be but the first of a new generation of Karryian made firearms which shall bring the infantryman closer to the future.

Protest Continue in North Kai

Thousands of protesters have flooded the streets in North Kai in response to government neglection of the region. The growing threat of drug cartels has plagued the region and citizens feel as if the government in Infinity is doing nothing to stop it. Corruption and violence in the region have been on the rise since the 80s and with the rise in demand for drugs in the USC the market has grown exceptionally. Many farmers in the countryside have fully transitioned to Coca & marijuana production with production facilities hidden in the rainforest.

Many have blamed the widespread corruption and money in politics. With the government in their pockets, the cartels have been able to operate freely in the region. With Infinity focused on other things many feel neglected have taken to the streets of North Kai. Across the capital of the Northern Administrative Region people have gathered downtown, at the governor's house, and the courthouse. There hasn't been much violence but police continue to try and break up the protest. Protestors have brought public transportation to a standstill and many major roadways have been shut down by protestors.

There have also been whispers of arms smuggling originating in Timeria. Timeria's gun laws are among the most relaxed in the world but this has raised concerns for many. Many local police officers and officials have spoken out on this problem. Infinity has yet to respond to these claims.

Kingdom of Timeria

Within Timeria there have been many developments throughout the year as President Sterling continues to work on his 21st century development plan. President Sterling has worked with Congress to get over a dozen new bills. Include in this is an effort to increase the federal minimum wage to 8 beans an hour. This has gained the President a lot of support in the south where many are underpaid and struggle to make ends meet. President Sterling has also made multiple visits to work with governors and mayors in the south.

The Environmental Protection Agency has been hard at work as President Sterling's newly appointed head of the EPA Muzaina al-Saba settles into her new role. The EPA has secured additional funding and has started to make progress in reducing Timeria's deforestation. Administrator Muzaina al-Saba has also had a meeting with the heads of Timerian-Assana Oil Company, Ceres Group, and Royal Rynxian Petroleum Corporation to workout ending offshore drilling in the Nilan Reef.

In Victoria the city continues to grow as Timeria continues to be more active on the international stage. The Port of Victoria has steadily increased with an expected 600 million tonnes of cargo to travel through the port. Timeria's membership in the Cardinal Pact has been extremely beneficial and President Sterling stated that "Our relations will continue to improve with CP members and our future within the CP is growing."
Queen Camilla made trips to both Neyos and Eumia to advocate for their introduction into the Cardinal Pact. Both of Timeria's neighbors have accepted the suggestion and are looking into joining the CP. Delegates from the CP are expected to meet in Eumia for a meeting with both nations.

Special forces also raided a cargo ship headed for Timeria in the Assana Ocean last week. The ship was carrying a number of homemade explosives and terrorist. It's unknown where the cargo ship came from but Timerian intelgence agencies continue to investigate the situation.
