To reach Kuhberg, and the princely hunting lodge there, one can either drive or take the train. It is a few hours drive from Gnadenstein, whether one takes the highway or the back roads. Either way, one must eventually come to an old dirt road that leads into the forest, a trip not every car can make. For this reason, many take the train, although it only takes one as far as Forstergrün, a small village that all the express trains pass over.

From there one can embark on a 3 kilometer hike, or get a ride on the "bus,” which is in fact a offroad truck. Still, unless one is invited one will be turned away by the guards keeping watch at Prince's private hunting grounds. Normally open, the area is now closed off. The rumor in Forstergrün is that Ernst Franz has an important guest...

The Prince of Waldmark-Gnadenstein surveyed the forest from his balcony in Jagdschloss Kuhberg. The maples, oaks and beeches were already starting to turn, providing a contrast to the evergreen pines and firs. The fresh air was invigorating and Ernst Franz was in a good mood. He always enjoyed coming here, getting away from it all. Not that he was disconnected, he had a phone here, and the Prime Minister was not afraid to use it.

Still, in moments like these, he could enjoy the bird song and the smell of the forest. He had delegated the preparations for the guests to his niece, Princess Charlotte. The ruler simply closed his eyes and enjoyed the moment.

It had been a pretty lengthy trip for the lord and lady of the Kuronami Dominion of Clarines, but here they were at long last. Sylvia and Izana, two nobles who in theory could at any time potentially ascend the throne in Kuronami but that was unlikely. For now this was a friendly hunting outing with some fellow nobles, a Prince. Always nice to see a Prince who likes to get out and about. For Sylvia she loved the rugged out of the way feel this cabin was. Still she was disappointed she couldn't make the trek on horseback. Horses were her real passion that and her husband. Even though both were kind of pushed into marriage for the good of the domain, they did have a mutual love of one another. It wasn't just a marriage of obligation it was something that sparked.

"We're here at last, my Dear." Izana held out his hand to help his wife out. She did take his hand even though she could easily get out herself but you don't refuse a man in polite Kuronami society. "Oh it's so beautiful here. Just like the Pegasus Mountains." She admired. "Looks like they're in autumn here. We must be far north then."

"It would seem that way. While we get ready for spring they get ready for winter. Odd the seasons."

"Not odd, just the way nature works."

"That's you, practical to every last detail."

"Well in any case I'm glad we came prepared then. Ready for cooler weather up here. By the way, you haven't talked to your brother since we left."

"No need to check in on him, he's very capable of handling things in my absence."

"Still this is your first trip overseas isn't it? You sure?"

"I'm sure. I raised him just as much. Now let's enjoy our time here, and not worry about back home. Things will be just as we left them."

The hike had been long so far, arduous so far, but quite a lot of fun so far.
Aldhiyb, despite it being colder then his native lands, had run around like a fat child in a candy store. His mistress, Princess Aurelia bint-Damir, would freely admit, that he was not exactly the slimmed of Sand Wolves, even amongst domesticated ones, but he was neither pudgy nor fat.
Aurelia, the quite busty blonde and blue eyed, dark-skinned Princess of the Ilkhanate of Utica, Granddaughter to the Sultana, Lieutenant of the Horsearchery Squadron of the Haram Girls' Academy, one part of her being a Daughter of the Desert, the other part a Daughter of the Selkie-Lands, felt right at home. She grinned from one ear to the other.
Her clothes were her preferred ones for outdoor outings, sturdy boots, which were suspiciously similar to the ones used by the Armies of the Five Deserts, cargo pants, a utility belt, shirt, pullover, heavy, warm and waterproof jacket - all of good brands, quality wise the best Kyrenaia had to offer.
Although more used to travel on horseback, a three kilometre hike was nothing for her.
Neither was it much of a concern for her other 'partner in crime' on this hunt.
Sadly, her father could not make it, so, on this unofficial pleasure tour, which was not at all a diplomatic visit (no, no, what were you thinking?), she was accompanied by Princess Fara bint-Dardan, a close friend of hers and almost like an older sister, a sibling, which she would never have.
Her blonde hair was short, her red eyes sparkled like rubies behind her sunglasses, with sharp facial features. Fara was the Princess of the Ilkhanate of Megido and she was a student at the University of Megido, Politics, while also being an integral part of its swimmer team. To her, three kilometres were a short walk, mainly due to her time with the 7th Mechanized Brigade, where she had served as a Sergeant of mechanized infantry - emphasis on infantry, not on mechanized.
She, just like Aurelia, was a Special Ambassador of the Sultanate, although both of them were not officially on tour.
Having taken the train to Forstergrün, a lovely village, where the two of them stood out like sore thumbs, their destination was three kilometres away: Jagdschloss Kuhberg, where Prince Ernst Franz of Waldmark-Gnadenstein expected a hunting party, which would be sung about for ages!
That was also the reason why, in their backpacks, both Princesses carried arms, in Aurelia's case her composite bow with a quiver full of arrows, in Fara's case a Kyrenaian crossbow, two bags full of bolts, in Aldhiyb's case a mouth full of teeth.
As such, they approached the security checkpoint.
"Hello, there!", Aurelia called politely, waving, so that they didn't appear to be shady elements, "Is this the way to Jagdschloss Kuhberg? I believe, we are expected there..."

Near the station of Forstergrün, a group of 2 Dodge WC-52 Command Cars are parked. Next to them, a group of three men are standing, presumably waiting for someone.
The first, Peter Blachkov (1,95m tall), is a former Emperor of the American Empire of the Scarlet Eagle, who left the power to his son due to family issues, and whose grandson, Anaximander, is the current Emperor. He's also the former Leader of the famous WWII aerial Squadron The Angels of Dunkirk, or Blazing Angels, a unit who fought on every theater, both in the Pacific and in Europe. For clothes, he wears a pair of tan cargo pants, a red polo shirt bearing his family coat of arms over the left breast (a Scarlet Eagle, with two swords in its claws), and a brown leather jacket, along with a pair of rangers. On his head, a black cap featuring the coat of arms of the SEIS Anaximander, the newest aircraft carrier in the Imperial Navy, lead ship of her class, named after the founder of the Blachkov dynasty. And at his belt, a holster containing a Colt M1911.
Next to him, sitted on one of the Car's front hood, is Thomas Morozov (1,88m tall). Grandfather of Colonel Pavel Morozov, Commander of the Alpha Squadron of the Personal Guard of the Emperor. A former Blazing Angel pilot as well, Thomas was the "bait" of sorts of the Squadron, making enemies focus on him so that his colleagues could shoot them down. His family is well renowned forbeing a powerful clan of nobles, merchants and warriors in the Empire although the nobility was dissolved in 1846. Currently, he's wearing blue jeans, a white shirt, as well as a brown leather jacket with an image of a B 17 bomber on the back. On his head, a white beanie hat, and at his belt, same as Peter, a holster whith his Colt M1911 inside.
The third man, Joe Dipaloski (1,89m tall), is a brother in arms of the two, and the former mechanic and handyman of the Squadron, on top of being a skilled pilot. His family is less renowned than the two, being a clan of merchants and winegrowers, who bought their title of nobility shortly before it was dissolved. His granddaughter, Alicia, is Pavel's wife and his nemesis for Empress Anna. For clothes, he wears a pair of khaki cargo pants, a blue T-shit bearing the symbol of the 82nd Airborne Division, a black sweater, and a sleeveless grey moncler. On his head, a souvenir cap of his family's vineyar, still producing famous wine to this day. And of course, his holster at his belt with his pistol like his friends

As the three friends are waiting, a fourth man exits the station, a map in hand.
Frank Melnik (1,91m tall), the fourth member of the Blazing Angels, is the father of General Constantin Melnik, Head of the Imperial Guard, and grandfather of Empress Anna, Anaximander's wife. For clothes, he wears a pair of black jeans, a white shirt, and a blue sweater bearing his family's coat of arms ( a windmill, with its wings being two axes crossed, surrounded by laurels and a sun above). A brown leather jacket is tucked under his arm. On his head, a blue cap with the coat of arms of the SEIS Anna, a new nuclear attack submarine named after his granddaughter. And of course, his holster with his pistol.

"All right guys they showed me the way to the Kuhberg hunting lodge, says Frank as he approaches his friends.
- About damn time Frank, replies Thomas, I thought you were trying to sedjce the attendant in there.
- Sorry to deceive you Tom, but is was a man.
-Well, I'm not one to judge, says Peter with a small smirk, but it took you this whole time to tell us you were into men? I'm dissapointed.
-Screw you man! answers Frank as he punches his friends shoulder as Joe and Thomas erupt in laughter.
- Well, continues Joe once they have stopped laughing, why don't you tell us whre we must go so that we get on our way? We don't want to be late, after all.
- You're right, replies Frank as he unfolds the map he was holding and spreads it on the Dodge's hood, showing the way to his friends.
-Al right, finishes Peter as he gets his smartphone out of his pocket to check the weather and the time, let's go. We'll go first, all right?
- No problem, replies Thomas as he gets into the driver seat od the second Dodge, with Joe as his passenger, while Peter and Frank embark in the first, the former taking the wheel.
-About that joke, says the former Emperor to his friend, sorry man.
- Nah, it was nothing, replies Frank with a smile as he puts his left hand on his friend's shoulder. To be honest, I would have gladly married this young guy to Anna a few years ago.
- Don't go tell that to Anax, answers Peter before starting the whole truck and departing for their destination. The three kilometers to the lodge don't take too much time to drive, and when they arrive the 4 old men are surprised to see they are not the first to arrive.
"Well, seems like we were beaten to the finish line, jokes Thomas as he has gotten of his car and walked to his friend's vehicle in front of him.
-Yup replies Joe who has done the same thing, care to guess who our friends are? asks the former mechanic who points to the new arrivals with a jerk of his chin.
-Seems like one group is from Kuronami, and the others are Kyrenaians, answers Peter. From the looks of it, this one is Princess Aurelia, you know, the one who taught your granddaughter massage techniques who made Pavel, and the rest of the Alpha men, go nearmy crazy because of how good it was?
- Oh, so that's her! exclaims Frank. It's good to finally meet her. I wonder how she is going to see us, since she had to endure some of our grandchildren shenanigans, he adds with a smile.
- Well, the best way to know that is to inteoduce ourselves, replies Peter as he gets out of his vehicle, and walks towards the guards and the other visitors, ID card in hand.
- Greetings everyone, he says to the group assembled, as he presents his ID to the guards, followed by his friends. Sir, Ladies, he adds with a small bow of the head towards the other guests present.

Two men walked a long trail, on there way to the hunting grounds, they had already taken the train to Forstergrun and followed directions towards Kuhberg lodge. One of the men was Dolfus Adler Schweisser, Baron of Nimitzberg. He stood at 6'1, with a thick mustache that slightly curled at the end. He had blue eyes, brown hair and a deep voice, and incredibly strong, looking more like a manual laborer than a nobleman. His hair was covered by a black boonie hat, he wore a camouflage wool turtleneck with a black hunting vest on top, matching camo pants tucked into black boots. In one hand was his gun case, which carried a Mauser 98 hunting rifle, the ammo of which he carried in a box in the other hand.

The man next to him was noticeably smaller. Italio stood at 5'10 and was clean shaven with brown eyes. He was of average build and his attire matched Dolfus' exactly, except he wore a black cap instead of a boonie hat. He also carried gun case and ammo in his hands, his being a standard .308 straight-pull hunting rifle.

They admired the changing seasons as they walked "So, you've ever heard of this Prince Ernst Franz" Italio spoke up, breaking the silence the two shared

"No, not really at least not before this whole event. Hopefully it will be a nice get together, not too big I hope, too many heads is bad, ja?" Dolfus responded

"I suppose, don't want the grounds too crowded now"

The two spoke in German, much to Dolfus' liking as he'd probably find it useful here, however it wasn't the norm for Italio. Their respective provinces, Alemannia and Montagna, had a history. Essentially intertwined, Montagna was Alemannia's only connection to the rest of Lux Pulchrae, so much of their affairs involved each other. Because of this many of the Italian nobles took to learning German as a second language, even more the closer they lived to Alemannia, but the Germanics did not reciprocate this action and speak exclusively in their own tongue.

"Hey, junge, what if I shot at the sky? Wake Mauser up a little eh?" Dolfus smiled, shaking his case

"I wouldn't recommend that, someone might get scared and call the authorities."

The baron looked behind him and side to side "There is no one here for a kilometer, who cares."

The subject was eventually dropped and the two kept walking the trail until they had reached a checkpoint. They dropped their arms and presented their IDs. They were let through and made their way to the lodge, standing outside of it, either waiting for further instruction or more poeple.

When the next guests arrived, Aurelia watched on with a smile, but when the four older gentlemen appeared, she cocked her head. They looked, and sounded, familiar, but that confusion got cleared up, when she heard them.
It was not the sound of their voices, but what they said - after that, she recognized the men from a photograph or two, which she had seen somewhere.
"Hi, there!", she greeted in response to their greeting, grinning widely and even raising her hand to wave at them. Fara gave a small wave as well. Aurelia just assumed, that the four of them had a similar standpoint towards formalities then their grandchildren. "How're the Grandkids?"

"Is that how you greet a person of Imperial blood, Princess Aurelia bint-Damir? asks Peter when he reaches the Kyrenaian, furrowing his brows and crossing his arms. Fortunately, the whole display is just a joke, and he relaxes his stance soon enough.
-Don't worry, I'm kidding. Peter Blachkov, retired Emperor. That's Frank, Thomas and Joe. Nnice to meet you Aurelia, you too Princess Fara he says as he shakes hands with her and Fara, as well as his friends. The grandkids are doing well. They're currently participating in the Red Flag aerial exercise in Nellis Air Force Base, in the SouthWest Region. If you want, we may call them later. So, how have you been?
-By the way, says Frank, I hope that the invitation your Uncle Ilia sent for a Nnaval festival in December still applies?"

Aurelia was surprised for a moment, but relaxed, when her opposite part relaxed.
The handshakes of both Princesses were firm.
"It's my pleasure, gentlemen, to meet you finally in person.", she said with a grin, that spoke of her honest pleasure of meeting them, "I read quite a bit of the exploits of you four during your times as aviators. Uncle Ilia was very keen on reading them..." She smiled. "Speaking of him, the invitation to the Sinope Harbour Festival still applies, why shouldn't it?"
"It's good to hear, that the Emperor and the Empress, and their friends, are doing well.", Fara added - she was not familiar with the four of them, at least not directly, but that would not hinder her much.
Still, this was mostly Aurelia's conversation.

"Oh, just in case, replies Frank. So many things can change in a few months time, after all.
-And this is the young lad who didn't greet Anax properly, says Peter as he looks to Aldhyib and squats down to his level. So, little guy, how are you expecting this hunt to be? he asks with a smile as he extends his gloved hand towards the young Sand Wolf.
-And here he goes again! says Joe as he facepalms before looking at Aurelia. So, I heard you're the person to thank for having learned a few massage techniques to my granddaughter, he adds with a smile. You know that she taught it to the rest of her Squadron, and now all the Alpha males are looking like they are reborn, he adds with a small chuckle.
-So, Princess Fara, says Thomas as he approaches the other Princess, I heard that you were a Swimmer in your Academy. I have to admit, I wasn't too bad when I was your age, even won a few local trophies when I was in middle school, in 500 meters time race, or in 2 kilometers relay. And you, what were your favourite kind of swim? he asks with a warm smile.

Aurelia smiled as Aldhiyb softly reached out with his nose and sniffed on Peter's hand.
"He's expecting a nice little nibble for himself, if I know him well enough. A hare or something of that kind.", she replied, "He is a predator usually stalking deserts, so I am not sure, how successful he will be, but I am positive." With that being said, she turned to Joe, smiling, a small blush on her cheeks. "Yes, I taught her a few of my tricks. It's nice to see, that they are used well and for the joy of their husbands... I do hope, however, that she also taught these tricks to their husbands as well, so that they enjoy them as well."

Fara nodded.
"I indeed am a swimmer, but if I am honest, the contests are nice, but my favourite is not racing, but swimming in the sea.", she said and smiled slightly, "The calm, yet strong waters of the Sea around you and especially in coastal areas, all the life around you. Of course, that also includes a bit of diving. That is also why I am so close to Aurelia and her Father, who often take me out to sea with them."
She let a beat pass.
"If I were to choose, though, I am a fan of swimming the 400 metres individual medley.", she added. "It's the greatest challenge, if you ask me."

When one looked at Maki Kojiro, he could instantly notice how different he was from all the other important figures surrounding him.

Despite white-gray hair covering the peak of his head, Maki had a figure equaling that of a rasetsu of Nifonese legends. Though his muscles were not overly sized, their every inch looked as if they were made of iron - extremely durable and just waiting to spring into action. Their composition made a man in his 70s look as if he was in forties, only indication of his age being the color of his hair. Many pondered the origin of such health befalling the Shogun, though most pointed at long hours Maki had spent in a dojo. His face was calm - serious and focused, giving no emotion and letting no one read the Shogun's expression, like a white mask placed on his head.

After arriving in Waldmark-Gnadenstein, Maki entered a car provided by the Nifonese embassy which took him, alongside his personal protection detail, to the village of Kuhberg. The Nifonese shogun was always overly cautious, suspecting everyone and always prepared to be targeted. Though his attitude was not without critics, it let him walk out of over twelve assassination attempts he had to endure since assuming power in Nifon and purging the government of corruption at his late Majesty's orders. For Maki's military-shaped mind, an event where plenty of important people will be wandering around forest was always an exceptional target, and no one could blame him for taking precaution.

The ride to Kuhberg resembled driving over mountains, but the reinforced SUVs designed to transport VIPs proven to be more than capable. The forests around reminded Maki of his days in Nifonese intelligence, which he eventually came to head. The times when he, motivated by the current structure's inability to rescue Nifonese citizens kidnapped by FSANF, created one of most elite units Nifon could count on and commanded one of most daring raids in history of counter-terrorism. The days of his glory...

And the days of his shame, his ultimate failure that had set him on the course he was on today.

Purging the thoughts about greatest mistake of his life from his head, Maki noticed the car stop. At first, a single member of the protective detail walked out of the car and confirmed that no threats are in immediate vicinity. Then, he knocked two times on the doors, which then opened, revealing another CPP operator, and then, the Shogun of Nifon walked in all his glory. Though it wasn't going to be long till the AIC will pass on his responsiblity for the VIP to the protective detail in the prince's lodge, it did not meant that during those few moments where Shogun was exposed and open for an attack they would cease watching. After safely making it to the lodge's entry, the detail dispersed. The shogun was now officially in responsibility of the lodge's security, but it did not mean that the detail would not await outside, ready to intervene upon first sign of trouble.

To those used to seeing Maki in an elegant suit, his current dress came as an surprise. Kojiro wore a simple military uniform in digital tiger stripe pattern as typically worn by the Imperial Nifonese Army - a perfect camouflage during the hunt. Only a couple of pagons indicated his rank, though he highly doubted that people won't recognize his face...

The hunting lodge or Jagdschloss was either modest or grand, depending on ones expectations. When one knows that the German word Schloss is used to describe palaces and castles, then one might be disappointed, but when expecting a old hunting cabin one would be surprised. The oldest part of the structure was the Gothic tower, to which was attached a large house built from both stone as well as using timber framing. Aside the house, there was stables which appeared to lack horses, and a modest outer bailey. This created a sort of courtyard. As the visitors arrived and grouped in this courtyard, they were first greeted by a middle aged man dressed in green, from his wool felt hat to his tweed knickerbockers. “Grüß!” said the man in green as he exited the bailey. Before he could introduce himself, another man, dressed in a brown tweed norfolk jacket and green corduroy knickerbockers exited the house, and addressed the group.

"Welcome, welcome! I am so glad you could make it and that you are finally here. Let me introduce myself, I am Prince Ernst Franz, and that one there in green is my head forester, Herr Steinpilz."

The Prince was tall and slim, and spoke with a heavy German accent, but also a big grin. "Come inside and we can drink something."

Aurelia and Fara followed the former Emperor and his friends, smiling at they saw the Jagdschloss.
The younger of the two was familiar with the German Language due to her learning it at the HGA, while Fara had chosen to learn other languages. But still, both did have a bit of an idea about what to expect from a Jagdschloss, which was not a cabin somewhere in the middle of nowhere.
They were surprised, however.
It was... simply put, it was beautiful.
The old tower, the house of timber and stone attached to it, the stables... although there were no horses present, Aurelia was excited that maybe, just maybe, their host was a fellow equestrian. Fara took a deep breath, feeling refreshed, while Aurelia gave an almost face-splitting grin.
Aldhiyb looked excited as well, sniffing everywhere.
When their host appeared, Fara took the lead, bowing her head to the Prince: "Your Majesty, thank You for Your kind invitation. To introduce myself, I am Princess Fara bint-Dardan, from the Sultanate of Kyrenaia."
Aurelia took over, bowing her head a bit deeper then Fara had, she was younger, after all. "Princess Aurelia bint-Damir, from Kyrenaia as well. This is a magnificent place.", she looked up with a grin, before motioning to Aldhiyb, who was sniffing near the stables. "That gentleman over there is Aldhiyb, a Sand Wolf."
Aldhiyb looked up and gave a short bark, as if to express his own joy at being here.
"If You would now please excuse us, Your Majesty, I am sure, that quite a lot of people would love to meet You.", Fara said and moved inside, while Aurelia approached Herr Steinpilz.
"Herr Steinpilz, was it?", she asked in quite good German, with a noticeable accent of rolling Rs and dropped vowels and clearly pronounced syllables, the mixture of her Selkie-Accent and her Kyrenaian Accent. "It's a pleasure. A short question, mainly concerning Aldhiyb... what animals dwell on these grounds?"

Hope Estheim did not like being late. Even at age fifteen, he inherited much of his parents punctuality, though apparently not their vast intellect. Or at least, intellect enough to understand why he was being paired with Grand Duke Edgar, Danceria's consummate charmer.

Barely into high school, the young lad surveyed the area with sky-blue eyes, his ash-grey hair denoting his Vaithine heritage and doubling as camoflauge in the autumnal environment.

Very much his senior and opposite, was Edgar Ronei Castamir, Grand Duke of Figaro. Despite him wearing the dull brown camoflauge for hunting, matched with equally dark boots, he stood out in several ways. Firstly, he was wearing a loud and very orange vest, for safety of course. Secondly, the young man looked like he ought to be on some catwalk, rather than in the woods. With shimmering blond hair tucked beneath a practical army cap, he sauntered into the hall leaving the luggage for poor Hope to carry the luggage.

Ever the extrovert, Edgar entered and merrily made small talk with the servants whilst Hope lugged behind.

"Edgar Ronei Castamir," the blond would introduce himself with a practiced and elegant bow "Grand Duke of Figaro and Harad. Along with my youthful page, one Hope Estheim..." he would gesture to his hapless cohort, who tried, and eventually succeeded in properly bowing to their host. "Of the Palumpolum Crossbow Team. Refreshemts would be lovely, Herr Stein-pulse. Lead on!"

Ernst Franz was unsure on what to think about the Scarlet Eaglers, their way of dress seemed unsuited to hunting, and he was suprised, but not offended that a former Emperor didn't know the proper form of address, but what puzzled them the most, was that they were all caring military sidearms, totally unsuited for hunting, and obviously not part of a uniform. Still, they made a friendly impression, and that is what the Prince valued most. He returned the Emperor's bow and shook everyone's hand as they entered.

The contrast between the elderly friends and the young cousins worked to the latter's advantage. The Prince was reminded of his nieces, of whom he was very fond and greeted the young ladies with a handshake and a smile. He was impressed by their politeness, something he heard was less popular among young people.

Ernst Franz was a dog lover, so he naturally took an interest in this exotic canine. It wolfish features caused him some concern, but Aldhiyb's display of good temperament was reassuring.

As Aurelia addressed the Forester, he smiled and answered in his dialect heavy German: "You speak better German than me." After a short laugh, he continued "Here there are many animals; wild boar and red deer, martens, rabbits, badgers and hedgehogs. We are reintroducing wolves, but far from here, so yours is the only one in the hunting region. You will want to make sure he doesn't run off and chance a wild boar, they are dangerous. Most likely all you will see are rabbits, does he hunt rabbits?"

Aurelia smiled.
"Sand Wolves usually hunt smaller to medium-sized animals, so rabbits and deer are good.", she told him, the canine in question coming to Aurelia as if he had sensed her talking about him. "I'll keep my eyes open for boars. Thank you for the advice, Herr Steinpilz."
With that, she bowed her head slightly in gratitude.
It seemed, as if the grounds were well taken care of, which was always a good thing. That, and their host seemed to be both impressed by and interested in Aldhiyb, an interest, which Aurelia would love to cater to, when he asked.
She was quite sure, that he would.
"You'll have a little feast, lad!", she told Aldhiyb, still standing with Herr Steinpilz, and grinned at his small bark in reply. Aurelia grinned, nodded to the elder gentleman, and spoke: "We'll see each other later."
Following the host, the other guests and Fara into the Trophy Room revealed an impressive amount of trophies, mostly deer - and it made them acquainted with Princess Charlotte, who Aurelia would guestimate to being their host's sister.
Still, she bowed her head respectfully and politely requested a cuppa tea, much like Fara. Charlotte seemed like a very nice woman. The alcohol would come later, as both Princesses knew, that alcohol and weapons did not work well together, no matter how resistant one fancied himself or herself.
Their attention was drawn to the map and what it displayed.

As the lodge's guards let them through the gate and inside the courtyard, Peter, Frank Thomas and Joe park their cars right next to the stable, and exit it.
"Nice to meet you, Your Highness, says the retired Emperor with a small smile and a bow of the head, a gesture repeated by his comrades. I'm Pter Blachkov, retired Emperor of the Scarlet Eagle. And these are my friends Frank Melnik, Thomas Morozov and Joe Dipaloski.

Immediately she stood up and offered everyone a hot drink, with the options of coffee, tea, or Jägertee. The last being a hot drink made from black tee and rum.

If the four Americans had known about the Prince's thoughts, they would have paid it no mind, mostly because in their minds, even though their host deserves the utmost respect, they too, since they are the eldest people around, altough when looking at them from afar, you would mistake them for someone twenty to thirty years younger, a testament of how well they stayed in shape for all their lives. As for the sidearms, 2nd amendment of the Imperial Constitution.

As they move into the lodge and to the trophy room, the four friends meet Princess Charlotte, who they proceed to greet with a bow of the head and a gallant handkiss, before accepting a cup of coffee.
"Nice set of trophies, says Peter to Ernst as he looks around the room to all the taxidermized heads, not too much different from my friends and mine. For how long have you been hunting Prince Franz? he asks with a smile.

Meanwhile, Frank, Thomas and Peter take a look at the tablet, surveying the area and the different deer sightings.
"That's a lot of spots, says Tom. Good enough so that each one of us has a chance.
-Yup, replies Joe as he sips on his coffee, although I don't know about you guys, but I feel that people are seeing us as elderly people.
-How can you blame them? asks Frank with a shrug. It's true that we are nearly a century old, but don't worry, when they see us on the field, they're gonna forget those thoughts. Let's show them the testament of a lifetime of staying in shape!
-Aye, replies Joe, although if we are still feeling like this, you can thank the fact that we also had some surgery, particularly replacments of our intervetebral discs with artificial ones, as well as knee joint replacments. Anyway, I wonder in how much time the hunt will start, finishes the old pilot as he takes a sip of his coffee.

Entering the lodge the two were neither mesmerized nor disappointed, it seemed like a normal lodge, apart from the Gothic tower. In the trophy room they removed their hats and noticed the painting of St. Hubert, to which they both did the sign of the cross as they passed it and further explored the room. The prince introduced Princess Charlotte and they bowed their heads. Dolfus tapped Italio's shoulder and pointed at Charlotte with a nod "Look, junge, maybe there's one game you can take home, eh?" he chuckled

Italio shook his head "I already have one."

"Really?" he stroked his mustache

"Yeah, Carmella Izzonso. You know the Altese Mine? The foreman's daughter."

"Ah, work relationship? Scoundrel." he laughed as he roughed Italio's hair a bit and went over to Charlotte "Jagertee, bitte. Keine tee."

Italio sat at the edge of a couch, setting his and Dolfus' equipment down in front of him. He saw a rather odd group of geriatric individuals, a little too armed for a hunting trip with equally out of place attire, but put it past him.

As you see, we have a map here on the tablet, although we also have some printed out. Right now the herd is mostly to the south of us. Since there are so many of us, I suggest we break into smaller groups. We have radios that everyone can take, just in case." He paused and waited for a response.

"Oh I have hunted, since I was a boy, but most of these trophies are not mine, this collection goes back generations." Anwsered Ernst Franz. "We have a collection of hunting records, if you like to see them, over there." The Prince gestured to a bookshelf holding a collection of books, some of which looked very old.

Princess Charlotte laughed at Dolfus's request, assuming at first he was joking, but then unsure she added. "Leider ist kein heiße Rum vorbereitet. Ich kann aber einen Becher wärmen lassen, aber dann mussen Sie leider warten."

The two Kyrenaians overheard the Prince's explanation about his collection of hunting trophies, which made Aurelia smile slighty.
"Sounds a lot like Uncle Finnegan...", she mumbled to Fara in Kyrenaian, grinning, but soon refocussing on the tablet.
It was indeed an impressive area.
The weather was of little concern to both Princesses, they were used to rough weather.
The only problem from their side might bevelop with Aurelia's composite bow, which was, as the name suggested, a bow composed of different materials, held together by glue. While the glue was supposed to be resistant to water, Aurelia still didn't like to use it in moist areas, like here - it was not a bow from a Selkie-Bowyer, who used a lime, which was definately resistant to water, it had to remain in one piece in the Free Lands, after all.
Anyway, cold would not be a problem.
They both would take a printed map, mainly because while they were close with each other, they would join different groups.
"Breaking ourselves up into several groups is a good idea, Prince Ernst-Franz.", Fara spoke in English, pronouncing every syllable clearly, a characteristic of the Kyrenaian accent. Looking to the Scarlet Eagle Group, she added: "I would also propose, that we mix nationalities. We are here to meet new people, after all, aren't we?"
"I know, that the two of us are.", Aurelia added, nodding to Fara, who smiled slightly.

"Sounds like a good plan." Izana replied in the affirmative "Let's split into small groups to cover more ground and of course not stir a large racket that we'll spook away the animals. Also I rather welcome the Kyrenian Lady's idea that we mix and mingle with each other, a few nationalities together. Also we did not bring weapons of our own as we figured you might have some for us, so if you'd be so kind as to lend us, we'll make sure they're well cared for."

Sylvia quietly nodded in agreement. Really she wasn't as experiences at hunting like her husband but hardly a stranger to it either; she'd follow the crowd regardless.

Peter, who was still looking at the trophies and the Saint Hubert depiction, he turns to Aurelia as she finishes her sentence.
"It may be true that we are here to meet new people, and having international groyps is a good idea for that, but please don't get ahead of yourself, Aurelia. Some of us may have displeasure to be with certain someones, he says as he casts a quick glance to the two Lux Pulchreans.

Frank, Thomas and Joe, having heard him, follow his gaze for a second before turning back to him with a nod as Thomas adresses Prince Franz:
"Don't worry about the radios, Your Highness, we already brought our own. Also, when will the hunt properly begin? So that me and my friends may have some time to change in a more appropriate attire."

Meanwhile, Frank has taken out his smartphone, and has downloaded the map from the tablet to his device, before sending it to his three brother in arms by Bluetooth.

"That is, presuming, that Our Host hasn't already fashioned groups for us already." Edgar would interject. "This is an occasion where not just anyone can waltz in and take a pot shot at the game. I trust that the security here is not for show." he smiled at the Kyrenaians, and would bow towards the Kyrenaian delegation. "Princess Fara bint-Dardan, it is good to see you once more! Though I never took you to be a huntress. But I suppose with a carcal..." the blond Dancerian nobleman would smile and gesture to his ash-haired compatriot. "This is young Master Hope Estheim, quite the bright child and aficionado for all things projectile-related. Be it crossbows, trebuchets, or a good old fashioned potato gun, he's your man for engineering." The young man would bow, his face placid and hiding well the flush of pride of being introduced to someone clearly of great beauty and political influence. However, he would instead find interest in the geriatric gunman nearby, as he seemed to wisely download the map to share with his companions. Being tech-savvy himself, he wanted to make sure that Edgar didn't end up lost like so many other times he went hunting.
