Aurelia noted with a smile, that while they apparently weren't the best looking rice balls, that the one she made went quite well with some of the sauces.
This was, as she would freely admit, completely new to her - and that was, why she was here. To be with Marcella and to be here to experience her homecountry's culture, to learn, not only who Marcella was, but also where she came from. She wanted their relationship to grow.

And she wanted to eat rice balls, but that was kind-of secondary.

Safe in their embrace of each other they quietly fell asleep again the rain while intense was oddly soothing. They'd be up again once it passed.

"It's standard protocole Tess and by orders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs they request me that I need to led the Mervayan Aid efforts with the UIS goverment. They said that once I'm done with it,they will give this week for wharever I want it,either go to visit you and your father or go to Kuronami... I'm sorry but we will not be able of be with you in Hoshino and we will be capable of see each other once in Stillstando" Jessica continues as small tears fall from her face as she says that to her daughter.

Soaked, mildly disgruntled and disoriented, but very much alive, Aceus unceremoniously entered the temple. Before he was able to get a word out to a nearby priestress, his phone went off. Panic rising in his chest, Aceus feared for the worst from Anna, but realized it was from someone rather close to him, whether he wanted it or not. With a sigh, Aceus opened the phone and conversed in Sindarin.
"<Hel-?>"
The Dancerian king recoiled from the phone, a barrage of questions and concerned remarks spewing forth from the speaker.
"<Sabin, Sabin, easy...I just got out of the storm so my ears are already ringing. Yes, I'm alive and in one piece. Just soaked through my skin, is all.>"
Another brief statement, before Aceus continued
"<I'm in a temple with some other refugees-yes Sabin, I did decide to "play hero"...everyone's fine, as far as I know. Can you get Eddie on the line? ...Eddie?>"
The Dancerian Kong's face beamed "<Heeyyy, Eddie! Didn't take you to be an early riser. Yeah, yeah...just doing some search and rescue, the usual. Listen, I want you to get a relief team ready...but don't embark just yet. Probably have to wait for customs and coordinate with the other relief efforts. ...Good, keep your ear on the wires, and I'll tell you when to move out.>"
There was a brief pause before Aceus chuckled "<Can't garuntee that...never could. I'll keep in touch. See ya.>"

Hanging up the phone, Aceus looked grimly at the nearby lriest "Did the Matron make it back safely?"

"Shhhh" She shushed combing the water form her hair "Just waiting out the storm" She hissed "Or at least until I can have Shinya or Hanoi come."

"Waiting it out get ready to wait it out a while, huh. Want a drink?"

"sorry, its got to be regular milk, not coconut milk" replied Karen, "you see, its for Marvin here...." , she gestured to the small feline with stubby legs that was pawing at her shoulders which upon hearing his name gave out a muted, elongated meow. "...so if you can, just water then please"

Jason took out some coins, "and can you add 2 roast lamb dinners to that please and a small plate of sliced lamb as well, and yes we've just got off the inter island boat from Aurora" Jason takes a look out of the window, "and it looks like its gonna get a little ugly out there.

Karen turns to the woman, "what you having?" she asks

Kaori and the Matron were the only ones in the hot water to warm up after their swim and mad rush through the rain and wind while the mother just continued to praise her and praise the Goddesses for their help in getting her only daughter back safe.

Contrary to the usual expectation of the arrogantly calm Psytrine, he was in much more of a panic than usual, probably because he knew that his magic was not as effective in this world. "I don't know where I was picked up, but the area seemed a bit shady!" he continued to blurb out, "He might have screamed because of me..." He nervously looked away from Giuseppe as he said this & raised his hands up to his shoulders in a defensive manner. Wait, maybe I shouldn't have said all that, he then thought as he braced for whatever effect his words would have.

"Listen here cazzo..." Giuseppe halted for a moment and processed what the man just said "Drinking blood? Ma che cazzo what are you? A fucking psycho? It was YOU! You caused that fiasco outside the bordello. You're the reason I'm in here!" Giuseppe proceeded to pull the man away from the wall and pushed him into it as hard as he could, grabbed him again and threw him to the ground. He picked him up and began to whisper to him "What did you see that night?"

"The Matron did most of the saving, I cannot garuntee that Kaori would've trusted me had I gone on my own." he would admit humbly. "I merely volunteered just to make sure she came back safe. Tess helped in clean an little the house as she saw that Satou was picking her clothes,which she saw an sundress on it. It looked beautiful and she hoped to see her girlfriend dressed on it.

Jeeps of troops and police often passed them by, people on their way to remote parts of the island in desperate need of help or others to help those around here. Arrving a small dugout shelter where many were gathered and huddled after waiting out the worst of it. "Granny!"

"Satou! I'm glad you're safe but I knew you would be. And glad to see you Tess you and my girl riding out together, you really are meant for her. I told Satou she need not worry and that you'd stick by her."

"Mothers are always the best cooks.", she said and nodded, grinning, "Mine was awesome, too. Her stobhach was to die for. A certain kind of stew." She added the last as an explanation for those unfamiliar with Selkie-Cuisine. "Don't get me wrong, the cooks at the Palace of the Azure Hall are awesome, but when they cook, there's always a little something missing."
She let a beat pass.
"I'd love to cook for Marcella one day.", she added, almost a whisper, but with a giddy smile, small, but very visible.

"Aww I can't wait for the day you do! Anytime you'd like!"

"I'd be great for us all to try something of yours" Shino agreed "If you don't mind cooking for the family after all. If your mother was good, there's a good chance you will be too."

"thanks, Coconut milk is not good for cats" says Karen as she and Jason waited for their meals. Marvin just pawed Karen's shoulders a couple of times and the moment Karen started to stroke the little feline, he stopped as replied to the barman "thanks, he's too clever for his own good sometimes" she says with a feint purring noise eminating from Marvin acting as a backdrop

Jason turned to the woman, "aaah so thats who its dedicated to, so is this island named after the family?" he asks

As soon as the meals came over, Karen and Jason after inviting the local woman over to a table made their way to an unoccupied table, placing the small empty plate on the bench next to Karen and placing some lamb onto it then Karen taps the bowl and so Marvin begins to tuck in as Karen and Jason ate their meal, occasionally Jason reaching down to stroke the scruff of Marvin's neck

"That's correct. It was the family that ruled this island for generations but the tides have since changed..." she said a bit sad "Anyway welcome to Hoshino Island!"

"Here we go, found our last bottle of dairy milk for your little friend." She handed the bottle of milk "Last one so it's on us."

"Ah yeah it's a good place to be during a storm like this. I can only imagine just how much it did cost, it's no wonder the rates are tailored to high end clients and visitors. But the good thing is most of those people are travelers who jump ship if a storm is on the way so it lets more regular folks like us in."

She took another riceball and while preparing it, she added: "I would love to cook for all of you, though... but before we do that, it's me cooking for Marcella alone!"
She suddenly grinned.
"Technically, cooking is the practice or skill of preparing food by combining, mixing, and heating ingredients.", she said, grinning at Marcella and joking: "Would you mind our romantic candlelight dinner with cooking from me being buttered toast?"
