I support the motion presented by the Right Honorable Member @Not-Britania. I think it will be great tradition and add immensely to our regional unity and culture!

I woud also like to support this motion, starting a tradition is a very interesting idea. It will definitely help to create and improve the Culture of this region, while also bringing the peoples of this region together.

I need two WA members to help me endorse proposal

Postby Ilovebenderdotcomland » Sun Apr 28, 2019 7:37 pm

Any WA Empire of Great Britain members care to help me by helping me protect intellectual property?

I lack two nationstates's endorsements.

My proposal I wish to propose to the WA:

International Intellectual Property Protocol (IIPP for short)

Category: Education and Creativity
Area of Effect: Artistic

The founding of NationState based organisations to recognise and protect intellectual property rights.

Intellectual property can be many things, but without a system in place, our artists aren't getting paid for their music or their art. Our writers aren't getting paid, our inventors aren't getting paid. International cooperation protects our intellectual property, by agreeing to award all royalties for however long you see fit, and to prosecute for bootlegging, counterfeiting, and to force those guilty of plagiarism to pay all earnings proceeds from broadcasting manufacturing and producing to the rightful owner.
To license intellectual property, protects intellectual property.

Mr. Speaker, I motion for a vote in the House on my proposal to adopt May 24th as Victoria Day. I seek an honourable or right honourable member to second the motion.

Mr. Speaker, I fear our region isn't doing enough to promote diplomatic ties with other regions.

Mr. Speaker.

I propose the adoption of a new Fairtrade Union for trading based on protectionism and labour conditions and minimum wage from this region open to all nationstates to counteract freetrade and command economies; give certain blocs a run for their money and start thinking about import export duty.

This is a most interesting issue you bring up, I would ask that the appropriate cabinet member to respond to this. This is because I believe there is a growing need for our region to interact in the international community.

Speakership Announcement

Postby The Founding Father » Sat Sep 07, 2019 11:20 am

Right Honourable Members of the House,

I hereby announce my candidacy for the Speaker of the House of Commons. I am the most experienced member of this new session and I believe I will be able to lead the House to a successful term.

I ask for the other members of the House to support my candidacy and let us swiftly move towards a vote. It is my intention to appoint a Deputy Speaker in order to ensure the smooth running of the legislature.

Sincerely,

The Founding Father
MP for Scotland

Good evening Honorable Members of the house,
Before i begin I congratulate all members old and new on their Election to this house.
I welcome The honorable member for Scotland's candidacy for the role of speaker. I believe that a quick Election of a speaker will allow us as Members of this house to quickly get Bills in place to allow for a smooth running of parliament. Alongside this his experience will also Assist in the smooth running of Commons Business
All Members received a Telegram from me Yesterday requesting support on a bill that would allow the creation of an Archive of passed house of commons legislation. This would also be used to archive legislation passed by the house in the future.
Since then i Have fully drafted 3 other bills that could if passed allow for a smooth running of the House of commons in the future as well as improve the RP potential of the house.
The titles of all the bills including the Archive bill are below in the order that I would present them to the house (Wont post in full in this post as they are pretty lengthy)

1. “Standardization, Streamlining and Scheduling of the House of Commons Business ” Bill
2.“House of Commons Format” Bill
3. “Foundation of House of Commons Archive” bill
4. " Creation and Registration of Political parties" bill

I humbly ask the house to support the passing of these bills and i would also humbly ask the Speaker (once one is elected ), to ensure that these bills are given time to be debated and voted on ASAP

I know that this speech is already very long-winded. However I do however have 2 questions for the Founding father before I finish this speech. 1. Would the creation of a deputy speaker by constitutionally allowed at the moment
2. If there was a deputy speaker position would the Deputy keep their Commons voting rights,It may be that if they dont then the already small number of MP'S voting and proposing Bills would be decreased

Right Honourable Member,

I refer to the following section of the Imperial Constitution in answer to your question;
XI. The Speaker of the House may appoint a Member of the House as Deputy Speaker to assist them.
XII. The Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House shall vote as Members of the House on any Bill.

If elected Speaker, I would postpone the appointment of a Deputy Speaker if other members are opposed to it.

However, I will prioritise the passage of the THREE Bills you have already prepared in order to establish an effective and organised House.

Sincerely,

The Founding Father
MP for Scotland

Right Honourable Members,

I would like to second the notion of support for TRH Founding Father in the election for the Speaker of the House. I see no one better suited to the role and wish him the best of luck during this time.
