I was thinking of a much more general treaty that encompassed trade
and free movement, as well as military collaboration. Is that too much for people? If people comment, I can write up a treaty.

I’m happy with that.I Started this one to gauge everyone’s stance on this,so any ideas are great.
We could do a conference Rp then have a fact book outlining the treaty

I agree. Even going to the lengths of NATO agreements is ambitious

I don’t mean a better version of NATO just a similar set up with additional caveats

My suggestion would be for you to write at least the basic, like the charter. Therefore people would have at least figured what you really want

Here is the treaty. We will need people to ratify it and become members. If somebody could make a logo, that would be great. We will also need to decide on a headquarters location and make an IC thread for the Council. I am goin to write a news post on it.

What do you mean? I don't see many similarities from the wording.

That being said, I think the SSTO should focus more on the overall integrity of the Southern Sea Region like common environmental/fishery policies, multilateral effort to fight piracy, extradition laws, freedom to navigate, etc.

Mesder Sea Treaty Organization
Southern Sea Treaty Organization
It's just a little similar, isn't it?
Maybe go with, idk, Southern Sea Cooperation Treaty Organization or Southern Sea Unity Pact, those are just what I came up with after thinking about it for a few seconds, not necessarily real suggestions. It'd just be nice if it's name wasn't 75% the same as something that already exists within the region

Especially considering that the MSTO is more of a known, established entity, it probably benefits you OOC to give it a more different name to differentiate it somewhat. The name is the first thing people see after all
