@Ragnar Langerup I cannot speak for other nations, but I could not stand idly by and allow the unscrupulous behavior of PUNCH's vile denizens to potentially influence the mannerisms of my fellow Reachmen. Part of my duty as empress is to preserve the cultural integrity of the Reach and her people, and as such if I see an outside influence that poses a potential danger to our way of life I am required to take action to prevent it from seeping into our society. Some may not agree with this, but this is how we have preserved our traditions for this long. Not all foreign influences are prohibited, mind you. Only ones that pose a risk to the moral integrity of our culture. Being a people stuck in a bitter, never-ending war for survival we do not so callously disregard the lives of others so as to wish death upon them for trivial reasons. The very idea of such a thing is repulsive to us, but as we are only human this does not mean that some will not be swayed by such terrible thinking. Thus, I had to take action. The fools and charlatans were one thing, but to wish death upon another so easily because they have animal features, or listen to popular music, or watch animation, or even because they don't politically align with you is not only a very serious grievance - but evident of a psychopathic mind.

And we face far too much psychopathy in our daily lives already in the form of heretical traitors, we need not suffer it from our own friends and neighbors as well. In the Reach we still believe in doing what's right, and that - and our faith in the Gods - is the only thing that has kept us sane in our dark existence. I cannot in good faith sacrifice this integral pillar to our empire. If you do not agree with such an action then I perfectly understand, I only hope you in turn understand why I made my decision, even if you don't agree with it.

Greetings users! It's time for a Tomoyo-chan Update where I write about site developments and reflect on how progress is going. It's so great to see the platform build. We had our concerns about site growth after our initial Beta run last year only gathered a small instillation base, mostly of our own citizens. While of course I love seeing my countryman use the site, the hope is to better connect Kuronami with the rest of the world. That's why we marched forward with 2.0 and slowly but surely we've gathered more and more users from at home and around the world.

In the meantime, Piffle Co. is still working on our PiffleNet Kids App for users under 13, but we are also considering allowing users under 13 to use the main site. We installed the age gate rule out of caution on launch, seeing the appalling behavior on other SM sites. Still a separate Kids App that allows a smaller user base and is more content controlled would give teachers and parents more peace of mind. If anyone has any feedback please let us know.

@Tomoyo: I got to admit, though the website does contain minor refrences to swears in lots of post, and is filled with trolls. On PUNCH, there age gate failed terribly, as the famous pedophile named "Bloodrod the Sex God" was a predator towards younger users. But since trolling is generally controlled on this site, kids above lets say, 11, should come on. My opinion tho.

Back on the grid again for a few moments. To be clear I'm actually still in AHSCA and villages are still very basic but I'm able to take advantage of mobile hot spots from time to time. Still extending my trip here till the end of summer. (or rather I guess it's "winter here"). I love it here when and I love volunteering as a teacher but when I live here for the months at a time I do miss electricity so I couldn't make this my home... ^^; Anyway things have been great so far.
