Reading through, she sighed. "Oh you poor, dumb fool." She sat down at her desk, took her quill, and wrote a reply in her best handwriting-which, although not as good as Salazar's, was still very, very good.
She then took her K98k and worked the bolt, ejecting one of the chambered rounds.
She then placed both the bullet and the letter in an envelope and mailed it to the return address.

I don't know how you got my address or how your letter made it through to me, but it doesn't matter.

Irene whipped around to see a van right behind her.
'Oh fuck.'
She dove for cover behind a dumpster and fired a flare into air. She then raised her G43 and fired 3 times-once into the windshield, twice into the engine. With that done she took cover again and affixed a bayonet.
She then patted a container filled with cyanide pills. Well, might as well fuck with them before I go.
"It's over!" she shouted. "There's a platoon of troops moving in on your position as we speak and they're very interested in seeing the insides of your guts!"

Irene chuckled.
"Shush and listen, kiddos."
At first there was silence.
Then the distant clatter of hooves.
It grew louder and louder, and abruptly 5 mounted riflemen(like this but with G3 Battle Rifles) rounded the corner.
One took aim and fired off a burst from his saddle, while the others drew sabres and charged.

One rifleman reared up his horse and brought it's hooves crashing down on the head of a would be assasin, while his comrades hacked the remaining ones to death.
One of the riflemen, his face hidden by the shadow the brim of his helmet cast, dismounted and went up to Irene. "You 'aight?"
She smiled. "Yeah, I am. Thank you-"
Irene narowed her eyes.
An unusally lithe and curvy form for a supposed male, plus a lock of golden hair sticking out from behind his helmet...
"Helena, what are you doing here?"
The rifleman took off his-well, her- helmet and smiled. "Took you long enough. Yer pap asked me to look out for you in case this happened."
She shook hr head. "What were you thinking, going out without a security detail? And to think you called me a crazy bitch..."
She abruptly noticed the last living assasin and unholstered her pistol, but Irene grabbed her shoulder. "No, don't. He's more useful alive."
Helena shrugged. "Suit yourself."
She went up to the assasin and sat on his chest, before placing her Luger P08 under his chin.
"Spill."
