"I'm from the Empire of Adab. Adab City, to be more precise, but I'm there just because I attend the University of Adab," Aida explained. "I spent much of his life in Baghdad, because my father was an athlete and his club was there. And I wasn't even born there. I was born in Kuwait City. I still think of Baghdad as my hometown, though." She paused a bit, before adding, "Have you been here for a long time? How come I didn't see you earlier?"
Chris was a bit surprised, since Aida didn't look particularly Oriental to him - at least more European than those living on Lillorainen's southernmost island. But he wasn't willing to start an interrogation right now.
"Ah, another one moving around within their country, hopping from one city to the next one and so on" - he determined, smiling. "I know that from somewhere ... well, I've actually been quite on time for getting my documents today - I haven't met a lot of people here yet, though, so it's possible we were just passing each other without noticing."
