The term degeneracy, which meaning 'abnormal' or 'corrupted' in general, is used as a catch-all term for any social reform that the reactionaries ("those who oppose social and political progress") as corrupt or unusual.

Due to the continued ineffectiveness and unwillingness of PUNCH moderators in preventing hate speech, death threats, and promotion of terrorism I have seen fit to issue a nationwide ban against PUNCH. From now on the social media website 'PUNCH' will no longer be available in the Reach. This decision is, in my opinion, long overdue. Too many times I have witnessed first hand degenerates on this website advocating for the death of entire groups of people due to trivial reasons such as being non-human, enjoying a certain genre of music or form of animation, or because they do not ideologically align with the poster. As a conscientious people, we Reachmen have never been exposed before to such ludicrous forms of thinking and find the very nature of these forms of hatred to be not only disgusting but outright idiotic and a waste of time and effort. Furthermore this website has been known as a host for both terrorist recruitment and promotion, which is simply abhorrent and intolerable. I cannot in good faith allow my people to be exposed to these awful influences lest they begin to take root within our great empire. As such, I, Empress Kallistrate VIII, hereby ban access to the social media website 'PUNCH' effective immediately. I will not allow the degeneracy that is constantly bred on this website to infect the minds and hearts of good, honest Reachmen.
