Anime terrorism? What is the world coming to? We would never allow such a preposterous organisation to even form within Tianxia, yet alone operate. Of course, most of our citizens don't know enough about anime to form any sort of organisation based around it, as we do not allow Japanese animation or other forms of media within the People's Republic. Despite my distaste for Terten's theocratic regime, I do hope that he succeeds in cracking down on such groups.

Rallying under a banner of anime? What a strange motivation. Stranger still that the fellow up there thinks that the underdogs of love could gather up the courage for a war, although if they survive, they will at least learn that life needs initiative, and that you can not hope and wait all your life. I hope that they will not be causing too much trouble and that they will at least learn to be better people.

Anyways, it's a lovely night today in Parfuhmerie. At least, that's what my watch and observational skills say, seeing as how I can not see the sky. One of the woes of being in an underground city like this... But still, the silence that contrasts sharply with the boom of daytime (even in this sector), the light green of the poison in the streets, and the soft orange glow of the torchlight is a good enough replacement for the stars of the night sky.

@Larisa Anndrasdan To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand 80 Days. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of late 19th century society most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Passepartout's progressive outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from anti-colonialism, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike 80 Days truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Passepartout's existential catchphrase "We are going around the world!" which itself is a cryptic reference to Verne's Around the World in Eighty Days. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Meg Jayanth's genius wit unfolds itself on their computer screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

The question is not which system will break, it is which system will break first.
An open society with an exchange of ideas, open conversations based on politics, religion, and the basics of life.
A closed society where your life id dictated moment for moment by some totalitarian leader who believes the entirety of the nation exists solely to lick his shoe toes and any action deemed harmful to society and censored by the state earns you a one way no refund ticket to a torture camp.
What you label as disorder is progress, the true disorder is the constant unraveling of your system tat is doomed by design to fail.

There is a reason Communism has never worked anywhere but on paper - Hell, anyone can write a FANTASY novel.

Firstly, allow me to state that I am honoured that my humble commentary was noticed by a person of such high status as yourself. It is not often that I communicate directly with the leader of a foreign nation. Secondly, I believe our definitions of entropy differ slightly. You seem to be correlating my use of the term with the principle in thermodynamics with your reference to closed systems, while I use it simply to describe a gradual decline into disorder. Now, the core of my argument was that liberalism atomises society, breaks it apart into smaller and smaller units until only the individual remains. I do not argue against the exchange of ideas and open conversations based on politics, religion, and the basics of life, indeed such discussions are necessary for social progress. Socialism has failed in the past because it was corrupted, hijacked by those who sought to harness the will of the people for their own personal gain. We reject such corruption, and the veneration of any single figure. The socialist leaders of both the past and the present are not gods or saints, they are simply human, and so our devotion is not to any of them, but rather to the transcendent ideals of communism itself. I believe we in Tianxia are unique in this sense, and that this is why we have continued to endure, and shall continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

I thank you for your high regard, however this is less a matter of state leaders as it is person to person, being as we are both individuals it would be highly awkward to address your chairman for statements likely unknown to him.

You've said that your allegiance is not to any god, leader, or saint as no one is idolized - instead the nation is devoted solely to the idea of Communism and the progress of it.

That is all well and good, the betterment of humanity, my issues arises here, the idea that one man does not want to give his money to the commisar for it to be divided up among the nation. The idea that one man worked by means of the sweat of his brow and does not want to let that money go, he wants to feed his children. How does your system prioritize citizens? Does it not? Does it see all children the same and allow them to starve equally? Does it value some above others for academic and martial prowess? That is not very eqalitarian.

The point I make is that there is no simple solution, a utopia like peace is a wonderful idea. Any real soldier fights for peace, prays that come the next sunrise the battle will be won and he can go home so that his children never have to know what war even means. That is a dream, it won't happen, so long as mankind exists so will war and so will an unequal way of life. What is important is not setting equal footing by artificial means, pushing down the high and raising up the low, you create your own unfair system in that way - arguably one that is the most unjust for it was born not by nature but by man and was forced into existence. A more perfect system is one that recognizes the inequality and gives the low chances to pull themselves up to the top.
