In 1892, due to the rise of global socialist ideologies, communism gained significant popularity in the absolute monarchy of Aureumterra. In 1892, a large coup was staged, and the communist faction took control of Aureumterra in three days, with promises for a better life and a better future for the nation’s citizens. Within a few days, the People’s Republic of Democratic Dasschiniklén was founded as the communist government replaced the old Imperial government. The Emperor at the time was exiled to the neighboring ally and monarchy of Baltiata, who had a child in 1925, just before dying of pneumonia. The now exiled Emperor Kristjon III became the leader of his group of loyal Imperial supporters, hiding with him in the border town of Venērāline, in Baltiata. For decades, tension has been building up in Dasschiniklén, with a failing economy, and loss of public support for the communist regime. It is now 1948. The Imperial faction sees this as a chance to take their nation back, with espionage, assassination of the communist leader, and a border rush back to the capital, Potens.

Backstory: An ex-member of the Kowani Armed Forces, Maladragêm, born Julio Entrerrios, rose quickly to his rank due to his aptitude for small unit tactics, although he couldn’t move forward as he was terrible at commanding large forces. He was deployed during the 2nd Kowani-Han War in the African Theater. However, while there he saw the damage the conflict was doing to the region and deserted after an artillery strike decimated his squadron. Fleeing the area, he abandoned his birth name, taking the name Maladragêm, an Old Kowani word meaning Penitent. Traveling through the North of Africa and the Middle East, he saw the dangers of unchecked capitalism and imperialism. He constructed a small organization dedicated to finding and destroying human trafficking rings. However, a powerful crime boss, Al-Alzheir used his connections with the government to send the police force against him, forcing him to flee. Hearing about the crisis in Aurumterra, he headed there, intent on preventing the rebirth of an Empire.

BackstoryGraduated from one of Eclius' most prestigious institutions, the Priscian Academy (the renowned spy academy), Faustillus attained one of the highest grades of all times and was quickly hired by Office of Intelligence (predecessor of PMT Eclisian Bureau of Foreign Intelligence). However, Faustillus was in it more for his own benefits. During his times of OI, he worked secretly as a spy/assassin for hire, it started merely as removing evidence of money laundering by his superiors and gradually elevated to political assassinations of high profile targets. He stayed under the shadow for decades until 1945 when Blossia Ramira, the director of Office of Intelligence was arrested for money laundering and illegal use of governmental funds. From that point, Faustillus knew well that he could potentially get in trouble, so he quit his job at office of Intelligence under "health reasons", destroyed all the evidence he found on his involvement in the case, bribed officials from Office of Domestic Security, then moved to Aureumterra for safety. In 1948, he was offered money to work as a spy for Aureumterrese Imperials. Faustillus can infiltrate very well, and assassinate his targets through various means ranging from sniper kills, to poisons and accidental means. For better convenience, he would often operate under the fake identity as a journalist from Eclisian Herald with the name "Lucius Vitruvius Acacius". Historically speaking, he was one of the key founders of ICA's division in Eclius.
