WorldVision 65
Rouen, Normandy and Picardy

OOC Thread | Host Bid (For Staging Details etc.)

As the title card ended, the audience at home were greeted by the image of an artist at work in his studio. A paintbrush, thick at the end and matted with deep vivid blue paint, was lodged precariously between his teeth, teetering between falling and perfect balance. His hair was slightly greying, perhaps balding a little at the top, not that it could be seen below the little blue beret that he wore. He ran around his room, a little artisan's shop, where a series of little objects were picked up by the cameras. A brooch with the colours of the Todlichebujoki flag, for instance, glinted in the morning light. From outside the dew-laden windows the audience entered his world, with little hints of each competing nation being shown here and there. At last, he reached for his paintbrush, realising it had been perched in his mouth all along, and with a dash of gusto returned to work on a painting now revealed to show the gardens at Giverny, near Rouen. This is where our show would begin, and hours of audiovisual exploration awaited the audience at home.

With a flick of a brush the audience were then transported to a series of foreign lands, a brief window into different worlds. One of these was Togonistan. They were greeted by a large native carving, whilst in the background the sea stood still beneath serene blue skies. All seemed calm and perfect in this brief glimpse into another world, another culture entirely. A lone musician came into the camera shot, looking out towards the sea, and he begun to strum on some sort of guitar-like instrument, playing a little bit of the official theme of the contest. We also turned to Izmedu, where Suzana Kolenc, a celebrated Izmeduan pianist, could be seen in a concert hall in the centre of Vodiznad. Suzana looked up to the camera as it came towards her, or rather beyond the camera. The silence of the hall was deafening. She turned to her piano, a very expensive one at that, and she too played a section of the theme song.

We were then whisked away back to Giverny, where our painter was continuing to paint the water lilies outside, every little movement being deliberate and careful; not a single brushstroke could be wasted. He turned around to see his wife, an old gentle lady; just from the way her eyes sat in her head you could see that she was kind beyond measure. She held a mandolin in her hands, a traditional instrument and still quite popular in Normandy and Picardy. She gestured that he should carry on painting, as she began to strum on her mandolin, much like the beginning of the theme (and indeed, it was "The Voyage of the Song" by The Rouenards). The camera looked up to show the gardens, where the modern world seemed to now be meeting it, the bright traingles and lines of the logo now in view as the logo for this contest (minus the background colour) came into view.

With a sudden zoom we were now in the Stade du Parc, Rouen, for the 65th WorldVision Song Contest! The crowd gave a large cheer as they realised they were now on the screens of millions of people across the multiverse. One camera gave a wide shot over the crowd and up towards the stage, as a large voice told the crowd, "Welcome to the 65th WorldVision Song Contest, live from Rouen!" to what was naturally a large cheer, especially from the Normand section of the crowd. "Please welcome the stars of tonight's show!" it continued, and then the flag ceremony began. The camera made sure to show the orchestra now set to playing the theme song; NNN were quite proud of the 'live' aspect of this years show, and were eager to show off the orchestra at least once. As each act came on, the five large LED panels showed the flag, the lights in the stadium were lit in the colours of the country's flag, and the name of the country was superimposed over the camera feed with the customary triangles with the colours of the flags like those on the logo. Just what we needed; a way to increase the length of an already far too long show.

And then, the Normand act came on last, in the Olympic tradition of the host coming out last. There was a thunderous applause in the stadium and Jean danced onto the stage, clearly just enjoying being there. The smile on his face seemed to know no bounds, and if it could it would have stretched past his face entirely. He too walked along the stage, and then out through the crowd towards the greenroom at the back of the stadium. And with that every act was now ready and raring to go, and the show could begin. Oh, but not quite yet. The Stade du Parc fell into darkness, the theme peetered out, and then the Opening Act began...

Image

A series of vivid orange and red strobes and lights moved rapidly across the stage and filled the entire stadium as the first note of the song was played, reverberating through the strucutre and indeed through the cameras. The stadium then returned to some sort of normal, a series of orange and golden spotlights fading on and off, whilst on the left side of the stage the cameras panned into to show out host for this evening, Anais Feriner, a very popular musician and presenter in Normandy and Picardy. She was sitting on a seat made to look like a pair of lips, the backrest being one of them and the actual seat part being another. She was laid down, surrounded by a group of rather attractive topless men, who I am sure you can imagine for yourself. The lights began to fade less and less until they were completely on, and the verse began. The camera began the verse above Anais as she sang up towards it, singing the first two lines lying down. She then pulled herself up and proceeded to sing the next two lines sitting, moving along to the beat of the music and doing some wonderful leg choreography, nearly as good as Cypriot haireography, which I am not going to try and describe. The men proceeded to walk and move around her, pulling poses and generally flaunting herself.

Welcome ladies and gents
Tonight we'll have a party
Everyone's invited
It's gonna be a ball
So bring a friend or two, perhaps a little tipple
The more the merrier, so they say

One of the men laid across the sofa as the next verse began, and Anais run her fingers along his pulsating muscles as he looked up towards her. Another handed her a Britonish flag during the second line, which she waved about as a second male dancers pulled her to one side. The camera then looked up to show a man dressed in Izmeduan colours crying to himself at the very edge of the stage, before one of the dancers seemed to pul the camera around to focus on Queen Anais once more as she began to walk towards the centre of the stage, strutting along as she went whilst the instrumental played. Naturally, the men followed her as the cameras gave a wide shot of the stage.

The Todlichebujokis doing some kind of dark magic
The Britoniseans eyeing up the hottest men
The Izmeduans in the corner crying at everything
Well, it wouldn't be WorldVision otherwise

One of the men passes Anais a model of the WorldVision trophy, which thanks to some nifty lighting work is illuminated with the colours of the Mister Xian flag. Anais appears to sing to it, ignoring the movements of the men around her who continue to pose, although at a somewhat greater distance. As she sings the next line, the trophy begins to light up with the colours of the Besen flag, but she shakes it a bit in an attempt to seemingly stop that from happening. The camera moves around her as she generally moves about to the rhythm, and as she sings the final line she seems to lose control of the trophy and drop it, or deliberately drop it, or something inbetween. Luckily, one of the dancers jumps and manages to catch it and looks up to the camera now focused on him, before the feed quickly switches to show Anais with her hand over her mouth.

The Mister Xians complaining that they won't win again
The Besens complaining that they haven't yet won
The Polkopians forgetting how they won in the first place
What is it you're actually complaining for?

As Anais sings the brief prechorus, the men line up in formation behind Anais. As the chorus began, there was a flurry of pyro, going from left to right. Anais and the man began to perform a dance routine rather like this (up to about 1:50). The cameras gave several large panning shots of the stage, before a shot at head level across the stage. In the background the LED screens were filled with the flags of the countries competing at the contest, and the lights switched between a large range of colours taken from the flags of the competing countries. Towards the end of the chorus the men lined up in front of her, and she proceeded to push or kick them down.

So come and party
Come and feel it
Feel WorldVision flow through you
Feel the rhythm
See the colours blossom and bloom (oooh, oooh)
Maybe an LED or two
For the biggest party nothing's too expensive, oh
Ooooh, ooooh

Feel WorldVision flow through you
Feel the rhythm
See the colours blossom and bloom (oooh oooh)
A million flags flying high
Everyone singing and dancing all night long (oooh, oooh)
Oh it's WorldVision, WorldVision, WorldVision, WorldVision, WorldVish

As the brief instrumental plays, the man clamber up, but before the one of them can do so Anais pushes them back down and climbs onto his back, as if she were riding him. The lights returned to normal, 'normal' being the golden and orange shades that had filled the stadium during the first verses. The countries in the background screen were replaced with generic patterns of gold and black, with geometric shapes and patterns. Toward the end of the verse Anais leaned down as if to whsiper into the male dancer's ear, before jumping of and laughing to herself.

A million ladies diva-ing to upbeat pop songs
Maybe a ballad or two, there's room for crying too
A little rock, or even metal if you're edgy
Although... not everyone will like that, so...

As the second verse began, the dancers lined up once again with Anais at the end. The male dancers all leaned backwards as one, arms interlocked, whilst Anais danced and generally looked like the queen she is. One of the dancers passed her a TV listings guide, which at the front had the WorldVision Song Contest as its main feature, with a picture of Anais looking gorgeous as always. She flicked through it with a face that... well, if looks could kill. She clearly didn't look pleased at Gardener's World, let's just put it that way

Imagine how boring your night would be without us
Watching some talent show or something even worse
I'm pretty sure Gardeners' World is not as good as
The biggest song contest ever

As she sung the prechorus once more, she looked sassy and fierce and all those other words that people like to through around, with a flick of her arm and her whole body moving as one with the beat of the song. Then, the stadium exploded with colour once more, with the flags once again on the LED screens etc., whilst Anais and her boys were joined by a series of female dancers, once for each of the men. They began a mixture of a traditional Normand dance and the routine from the first chorus. Each of the females had a long skirt with a series of flags on it, but these were ripped off by the male dancers in a very Bucks Fizz fashion. Generally, much dancing and celebrating was had, as shown by the series of panoramic shots of the audience

So come and party
Come and feel it
Feel WorldVision flow through you
Feel the rhythm
See the colours blossom and bloom (oooh, oooh)
Maybe an LED or two
For the biggest party nothing's too expensive, oh
Ooooh, ooooh

Feel WorldVision flow through you
Feel the rhythm
See the colours blossom and bloom (oooh, oooh)
A million flags flying high
Everyone singing and dancing all night long (oooh, oooh)

As the chorus ended, and the bridge began, the lights faded on and off, creating an effect whereby the dancers seemed to jump around the stage. They took places, in their couples, around the stage, except two male dancers who had just come on (of course not seen by the audience at home) who stood behind Anais and clicked their fingers in time with the beat, holding a series of poses. They both grabbed Anais and twirled her around as the bridge proper began, and the rest of the dancers basically continued the routine they had been doing in the chorus. A series of spotlights appeared to search around the stage and the whole of the stadium as Anais and the two male dancers performed a series of acrobatics, including Anais at one point being held up on the right hand of one of the dancers; thankfully, he used that hand a lot.

Oh it's WorldVision, WorldVision, WorldVision
Vision, vision, vision, vision...
Wo-wo-orldVision
Vision, vi-ision
Blossom
Wo-orldvision
Vi-i-sion, Vi-ision
Wo-wo-orldVision
Vision, vi-ision
Blossom
Wo-orldvision
Vi-i-sion, Vi-i-i-ision

Wo-wo-orldVision
Vision, vi-ision
Blossom
Wo-orldvision
Vi-i-sion, Vi-ision
Wo-wo-orldVision
Vision, vi-ision
Blossom
Wo-orldvision
Vi-i-sion, Vi-

Anais looked up to the camera, somewhat visibly exhausted, with the two males dancers posing behind her. She flicked her hair to the side as the cameras suddenly zoomed out to show the storm of pyro which accompanied the beginning of the final chorus. Indeed, throughout the chorus there were intermittent bursts of pyrotechnics here, there and everywhere. The lighting went mad once more, as is to be expected, and it turned out Anais was on a platform that rose above the rest of the stage. Even the orchestra were dancing along, with the Normand conductor Marcel Champignon clearly have a ball, dancing this way and that.

So come and party
Come and feel it
Feel WorldVision flow through you
Feel the rhythm
See the colours blossom and bloom (oooh, oooh)
Maybe an LED or two
For the biggest party nothing's too expensive, oh
Ooooh, ooooh

Feel WorldVision flow through you
Feel the rhythm
See the colours blossom and bloom (oooh, oooh)
A million flags flying high
Everyone singing and dancing all night long (oooh, oooh)

The lights suddenly dimmed and seemed to shrink back towards the stage, until only Anais was lit. She again looked up towards the camera, standing with her legs fairly far apart and one of her hands on her hips, slaying the 'I have just done more exercise than you have in all your life' look. She gave a nice, broad, cheeky smile as the song finished and the lights fully went off. It was done.

Oh it's WorldVision, WorldVision, WorldVision
Let's party

As the song ended and the ambient lighting of the stadium turned on, the crowd cheered madly. They had had the party of an opener they were expecting, and besides that they knew that soon, the WorldVision Song Contest would begin. The camera gave a wide shot of the crowd as Anais composed herself, and moved to the right hand side of the stage. As the camera returned to her, she began speaking to the millions upon million across the multiverse watching the contest.

Well, that was the most exercise I've had in a long time; you really should try it some time. Oh, where was I? Oh yeah, welcome to the 65th WorldVision Song Contest been held in the glorious city of Rouen, the hometown of yours truly. I am Anais Feriner, and I will be your guide for tonight's wonderful show. Nations from across the multiverse will compete for the ultimate musical prize, in what remains the biggest musical contest in the world.

Then, once they have all performed, you lovelies at home will get the chance to spend your money voting for your favourite song. You can vote via telephone, mobile or via the official WorldVision app. In some countries, these will then be combined with national juries, but that is dependent on where you are. Then, each country will award point to their top 10 favourite countries, with 12 points going to the top, 10 points to second place, 8 points to third down to 1 for your 10th favourite. Whichever country has the most points in the end will win.

But of course, you already knew that. But you don't know who will win, and that is what will be decided tonight. And, well, they can't win unless they perform. And so, without further ado...

Let the 65th WorldVision Song Contest begin!!!

And with that, the show began...

02. Phoenigetuzstha
Laodice Surena - Šorfem Iddeyyem (Burning Bridges)

Languages: English, Phoenigetuzsthan | Eye Cue - Lost and Found

Phoenigetzustha had returned to the contest after over 40 years absence - although this was not entirely true. Kishrael, now a part of Phoenigetuzstha's Hebrew-speaking western provinces had carried the flag in the meantime, racking up four victories in total. Now incorporated, Kishraeli veterans were able to help Phoenigetuzstha prepare for the contest, the latter emerging from many years of civil and military disarray which prevented its participation. Despite Kishraeli help, this production is purely Phoenigetuzsthan, potentially to a fault, with head of delegation, stage designer, lyricist and most importantly singer all being ethnically Phoenigetuzsthan. The singer is Laodice Surena comes from the capital. At 26 she is a veteran of performing at small venues while simultaneously working a normal routine job in an office. After a call for songs was posted by the PBA, Laodice was selected and co-wrote her WorldVision song "Burning Bridges" In an interview, Laodice said of the song "I suppose it's about falling in love but knowing that it's destructive and bad for you, and then the process of getting out of it. But I wanted it to be fun still, so that's why we chose an upbeat melody.". The contest was to be held in the beautiful city of Rouen, which was quite unlike anything in Phoeniegtzustha, with Rouen's mild climate and quirky architecture, it was difficult adjusting to the way of life, if only for the three weeks or so that she was there.

Performing so early was a great honour for Phoenigetuzstha in its return to the contest, however many were concerned how this may adversely affect their performance. Nonetheless, Laodice was ready and prepared, or as prepared as she every would be. The months of preparation and rehearsals all came down to this point, and she had to give a good performance to show the country that WorldVision was still an amazing music project that Phoenigetuzstha should be a part of. The crowd were exciting, cheering and Laodice felt a rush of excitement as she heard the first beat of the song. With the beginning of the song, the camera shot began straight on her face, she earnestly looked into the camera, singing in Phoenigetzusthan. It was a risk singing in her national language, a language which was rarely spoken outside of Phoenigetuzstha proper, however her national pride instilled within her compelled her to write some of the song in her language. Anyway, she was much more confident singing in Phoenigetuzsthan than in English. While she sung the first part the camera panned above her. The stage was dark, save for a small orange light that she seemed to be "guiding" with her hand. As she finished the line she threw her hand out, the small light driving towards the side of the stage. Then, the whole stage lit up in a warm orange glow, which moved like fire in the back of the stage.

Delem sbat b'tefllaeg im mah šiyyefelleg kvar ghaedi (No point in searching if what you're looking for is already gone)
Delem sbat b'likma im šiyyeywak telkkaem geftow (No point in fighting if you know the battle is lost)
Delem sbat b'bayyak meči delem damem (No point in crying when there's no tears left to cry)
Le atta ad 'omed? (Why are you still standing?)

The camera took a whole body shot of Laodice, and it was revealed that she was wearing a golden outfit, with a tasselled coat and thigh high boots. The ensemble was zany, but it was only one look she would be serving tonight. She walked to the side of the stage alone, and as she reached it, the camera did a close up shot of Laodice using hand gestures close to her face in order to sell the song - acting almost nonchalant, yet inside she was bursting with excitement. As she sung "by your side", three female backing vocalists appeared, dressed in more simple golden dresses. They remained somewhat away from Laodice and performed hand and arm movements that were choreographed to perfection.

A little something that I never thought I'd tire of
Same time, same place, even without an excuse, for this
A little more of that if not any for other reason, to be by your side
Than to see your heart as mine for one moment, one moment

As the bridge kicked in and the music became more upbeat, the fire pattern on stage became more dynamic, with more flecks of colour such as pinks, blues and whites that would not usually be seen in fire appearing. Further, the floor LED's began to "pulse" as if they were beating like a heart. During this time Laodice moved to the middle of the stage, and then dramatically turned to the right and marched with her backing vocalists in a diamond formation. The floor behind where they had walked left an glittery silver imprint which faded slowly as they moved further away.

Eve ušraf et h'iddeyyem hayu (So let's burn these bridges)
Eve ušraf et h'iddeyyem hayu (So let's burn these bridges)
Sfal… sfal (Down... Down)

As the chorus began, the four women began to do a coordinated hand dance which seemed to look like an elaborate finger wagging. It was clear even more backing vocalists were off stage to give the chorus the effect of a number of people singing, as in the studio cut. For the chorus, the background became a beautiful pink and blue colour. The pink effects looked like they were cascading in time with the music down to the floor on the blue background. At this time, shots of the crowd, and particularly Phoenigetuzsthan supporters dancing were shown.

This bridge is going down in flames, you know it too
Gonna feel the burn, feel the burn
This fire is more than pain, we fell apart
Wanna feel this hurt, feel this

The stage once again returns to the various orange hues that had been present in the previous verse. The camera this time focuses on Laodice's face and upper body. She walks around the stage alone, and then at the "badabada..." section of the song, she stops and the backing dancers share the frame with her. She leans on their shoulder and they all roll their eyes as they sing about trying to let this boy understand that the relationship won't work. After she walks away alone, and the backing dancers don't appear for the rest of the verse in the shot, but they can be heard.

I don't know what you're expecting of me
But I really don't care to know, badabadbadabadaaa
If you want me to fly, oh I'll try to let you know how it is up here
Got a text message from you on my phone
Telling me to come over
Got a text from you, but I ain't gonna go-oo, gonna go

During the next part, Laodice pulls her outfit reveal, undoing her jacket to reveal second golden garment underneath. She twirls around and winks at the camera, throwing her jacket behind her. The camera then does a far out shot of Laodice's front and then her face as she coyly places with her hands on her face for the next part. Once again she gives attitude and sass to the camera, and winks again, before smiling and continuing with the next part of the song.

The four women stand in formation, almost at right angles to each other, but all with at least one limb touching another. They sing into the microphone as the camera circles around them twice. When she sings "damem", there is a soft fade on the camera, then sparks and flames from the stage. The next shot is an arena shot of the stage in gold, with the same cascading effect, but this time the effect is gold on gold on gold. As the camera goes to a wide frontal view of the stage, Laodice and the women march forward in unison, at which point it's noted Laodice had taken the second outfit off to reveal the final golden outfit underneath, a metallic two-piece. They once again perform their arm dancing, moving their hips in time with the music.

Eve ušraf et h'iddeyyem hayu (So let's burn these bridges)
Eve ušraf et h'iddeyyem hayu (So let's burn these bridges)
Delem sbat b'bayyak meči delem damem (No point in crying when there's no tears left to cry)
This bridge is going down in flames, you know it too
Gonna feel the burn, feel the burn
This fire is more than pain, we fell apart
Wanna feel this hurt, feel this

As she sings the final line, the stage goes completely dark again, apart from a light on Laodice. The camera does the same shot from the first scene, with the orange light now returning to Laodice. As the song ends the light goes under Laodice's feet and the stage is then bathed in a faint orange glow, as the last shot zooms in on her face singing "'omed".

Le atta ad 'omed? (Why are you still standing?)

Her performance done, she smiles and shouts "Thank you Rouen, thank you!". The camera catches her gleeful expression and that of her backing singers as they all hug and congratulate each other. Then they walk off stage, as the crew prepares for the next big performance of the night. No matter what the result, Laodice was proud, and could only hope that she would do her country proud, and that her song would connect with people across the world.

Ramhun - Monster
Tune: Fernando Daniel - Espera
Language: Polkopian/English

After finishing in 10th place in the previous contest, the PNB had briefly considered withdrawing from the 65th edition of the Worldvision Song Contest in order to restructure the process in which the nation selects their representative, however the international success seen by Martin Tyvin and his song, Miracola, was the deciding factor in the PNB's ultimate decision to remain in the contest. The question remained though - how can the PNB replicate past successes seen by Polkopia in previous Worldvision editions? Although the answer remains to be seen, representatives from the PNB argued that allowing for international song submissions might increase the chances of the nation securing a better spot in future editions, however this settlement is still said to have not yet been finalized, and wouldn't be instilled until the next edition of the Landa vy Polkopiya, if approved. With this decision, the PNB not only hopes to increase Polkopia's chances of winning future editions of Worldvision, but also to increase the amount of foreign musical talent coming to Polkopia in order to jumpstart their careers.

For the 65th Worldvision Song Contest, Ramhun, or Roman Hundrič, was selected to represent the Allied States of Polkopia in Normandy & Picardy after winning the Landa vy Polkopiya by a comfortable margin of 21 points over the runner-up. Before entering the contest, Ramhun had participated in the Polkopian edition of The Voice and came in a respectible 2nd place. Since then, he released a few singles, and only recently announced that he planned on releasing an album after his involvement with Worldvision, with his song, Monster, included in said album. For him, participation in Worldvision marks a new milestone in his career, and he hopes to make his name well-known among people, not only in his home country of Polkopia, but abroad as well, just as his predecessor Martin Tyvin had done.

The remnants of the crowd's applause had begun to settle down after showing the Polkopian postcard, and the stage was left completely dark. The camera showed an overhead view of the stage when the first notes of a guitar began to play, and members of the audience began to cheer some more. A spotlight showed a man sitting on a barstool in the middle of the stage, dressed in a black button-up shirt and jeans, casually playing an acoustic guitar. Ramhun's voice could be heard and at first, he wasn't visible to the audience, but after the second line of the verse had been sung, another spotlight shone on the stage and illuminated Ramhun. He was positioned further up on the stage, near the perimeter, but still relatively close to the guitarist. As the camera panned in on him, he smiled, closed his eyes, and continued to sing.

You're
A piece of me
And I can feel
Your heartbeat

I
I never forgot
What we sought
When we were in love

Just then, several golden lights illuminated the wall along the back of the stage, and the camera rapidly zoomed out revealing that the entire arena's lighting had changed into a similar shade. Such a hue of gold caused an almost nostalgic feel to the song.

I ya, domal (And I thought)
Etya biy ves (This would be)
Yavseg (Forever)
No, bil prost' mechta (But it was just dream)

And I'm here, fighting
With the monsters
That tell me
To let you slip from me

The lights began to fade out a bit so that, although they still shone in the background, they didn't fill the entire arena with the same golden hue as before. The camera focused on Ramhun as he continued to sing. Occasionally the camera would show shots of the man playing guitar, but would soon switch back to Ramhun.

You
You'll never see
What I'd go through
To have you back again

While Ramhun sang the next part of the verse, red, orange, and yellow leaves began to fall from the ceiling and onto the stage. A wind machine would replicate a gentle autumn breeze while they fell.

But we
We're meant to be
Just you and me
We're on top of the world, now.

The golden hue of the lights would return as soon as the chorus began. The wind would gradually pick up and soon, leaves could be seen swarming all around Ramhun and the guitarist in a chaotic fashion.

I ya, domal (And I thought)
Etya biy ves (This would be)
Yavseg (Forever)
No, bil prost' mechta (But it was just dream)

And I'm here, fighting
With the monsters
That tell me
To let you slip from me

The lights and wind seemed to immediately stop for a moment and the stage was completely black. Some members of the audience could barely be heard cheering, but other than that, the arena was completely silent. As Ramhun sang, although there were no lights to show his presence on stage, different angles of him singing were shown on three of the LED panels in the back, all in grayscale.

Etya nevožno (It's impossible)
Vese bez tebe (To be without you)
No karkiy den (But every day)
Ya promnirovayu (I keep fighting)

The lights returned and the guitarist was gone. Ramhun was standing on a platform that had been elevated and he now sang with an outstretched hand as if though he was singing to a particular member of the audience. The leaves still stirred around the stage as he sang, and spotlights traveled across the entire arena.

I ya, domal (And I thought)
Etya biy ves (This would be)
Yavseg (Forever)
No, bil prost' mechta (But it was just dream)

And I'm here, fighting
With the monsters
That tell me
To let you slip from me

The lights faded out for a final time, and a single spotlight shone on Ramhun. He hunh his head low for a minute before picking it back up to sing the final notes.

It's not goodbye
So don't you cry

The lights returned to normal and Ramhun waved to the cheering crowd. "Thank you. Thank you Normandy and Picardy!"

Generic Guitar Player, who can`t sing- "Gonna send a memesong

Aternative version of DIFYL is placed here

After Worldvision 64 have ended in yet of a fiasco, Vartugia got the bad news that Darkmania, who Vartugia always has a layover while going to place to place, had began carging a 100% tarriff on earape, making it worthless. Outraged by this, Filler-Man and & Dick Arm have boycoted WV untill the tarrief hase been revoed and Darkmania issue an apoligy for "their sins againt our only sorce of income." Varugia therfore sends an generic guitar player, who cant sing.

The lad stands alone, with only his guitar. And no, he is not naked (happily). Is it like Varguia don't know how to RP? He is also drunk.

I play on my drum this stupid song
Y`all better de dead by now
I cant even eglish good for føks sak
Song is repetive as sin and its just bad

He dabs.

Gonna send a memesong, Gonna send a memesong babe, send me nudes and Gonna send a memesong
Gonna send a memesong, Gonna send a memesong babe, send me nudes and Gonna send a memesong
Gonna send a memesong, Gonna send a memesong
Normies beware cause this meme is danker than you

He is drunk and moves away from the camera. He ends up hitting the steady-cam, the operator ironically is the same one who was knocked out by Slavie.

I play on my drum this stupid song

Da Fuck
Gonna send a memesong, Gonna send a memesong babe, send me nudes and Gonna send a memesong
Gonna send a memesong, Gonna send a memesong babe, send me nudes and Gonna send a memesong
Gonna send a memesong, Gonna send a memesong

However, he gets a massive voice crack at the word in italics, running his changes to win.

Just send it, Just send it, just Gonna send a memesong
Just send it, Just send it, just Gonna send a memesong
Just send it, Just send it, just Gonna send a memesong
Just send it Just send it, just Gonna send a memesong

I don't know what happens here, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

He runs away in so the next can sing. We never see him again.... hopefully.

06. ADAB
Riad Malek"Start"
Tune: Arctic Monkeys – Do I Wanna Know?
Language: English
Image
Riad Malek spotted at Baghdad’s shopping district recently

Background
Adab’s rather stunning and unexpected success at the previous WorldVision edition – in which it secured fifth place, its highest placing in a few editions – was greeted with scenes of joy and celebration throughout the country, for whom a bright future in the contest was seemingly confirmed. For a start, it was Adab’s first WorldVision foray without Kinan al-Salaman on the stage, the man having decided to focus on writing for the country’s future WorldVision contestants. Emperor Tizqar III declared a two-day national holiday. The Adab Times, describing J. Baraka Mahmoud’s homecoming, pronounced him “for a day, at least, the greatest national hero after the Emperor himself.” He and al-Salaman were feted and celebrated from border to border as the spotlight once again shone on Adabian music.

What was almost forgotten amid all the celebrations was that Mahmoud’s success was so improbable it still boggles the mind even today. Mahmoud had actually started his career making house music, and indeed he himself would argue that was where his true talent lay, yet palace machinations resulted in his singing an apparently patriotic funk-flavored song. Even Mahmoud’s selection seemingly came out of nowhere; he was, to put it mildly, nationally unknown before he was chosen to represent Adab on the WorldVision stage. Mahmoud’s sudden fame was emblematic of the notoriously volatile relationship and intermittent conflict between Kinan al-Salaman and the Imperial Palace, including Emperor Tizqar III. When al-Salaman decided to bow out of the WorldVision stage, he insisted that he be made the country’s official songwriter for the next five WorldVision editions and that he personally choose the contestants for those editions. The Emperor, who had intervened in the country’s internal selection process for WorldVision before, promptly declared it his right to pick the contestants, threatening to declare the Al-Salaman Group an illegal monopoly and dissolve it if al-Salaman did not obey his wish. Al-Salaman reluctantly agreed, after which the Emperor came up with the hitherto unknown Mahmoud, beginning his improbable success story.

For this edition, however, al-Salaman was determined to take control. He pointed out to the Imperial Palace that he had played quite the major role in “polishing” Mahmoud’s vocals and music, catapulting him to success despite the unfavorable odds stemming from palace officials forcing Mahmoud to perform a genre of music which he had no real interest in and had not actually wanted to perform. Al-Salaman’s point was that Mahmoud was successful due in no small part to his hard work, that it was he who made the artistic choices, guided Mahmoud, and turned him into a viable artist from behind the scenes even though the Imperial Palace had made things difficult for him and Mahmoud, that he should be trusted with “creative control” over Adab’s future WorldVision (and World Hit Festival) efforts, and therefore he should be the one choosing the contestants (it was implied that Al-Salaman Records’ roster would be prioritized in the search for future contestants). Why the Emperor now suddenly agreed to his demand is still a mystery and probably will remain so, although conspiracy theories have since surfaced. The official reason, as stated by the Imperial Palace, was that al-Salaman and the Emperor had simply reached “an accommodation” and that “Kinan al-Salaman has the full confidence of His Imperial Majesty.”

Now free to choose the singer, al-Salaman went on the hunt, and it did not take long for him to decide from among the suitable candidates. Riad Malek was a 21-year-old rock and pop artist from the western part of the Syria Governorate, scion of a locally prominent family, who came into regional and national attention when he performed at talent shows and festivals across the country, winning a few awards in the process, and posted covers of popular songs on MyScreen, Adab’s most popular video hosting service. The Adab Times described him as being “something of a magnet, supplementing his vocal skills with endless cheerfulness and self-confidence that is charming off the stage and borders on flamboyance on it.” He was quickly signed to Al-Salaman Records (there were accusations, quickly denied, that he was signed merely because of his family connections), and his first few singles took the Adabian charts by storm, mostly thanks to relentless promotion on the Internet with the majority of sales coming online. Even though his career was still very much in its early years, he was already being hailed by critics as one of those leading this latest rejuvenation of Adabian music. At the press conference unveiling Malek as Adab’s next WorldVision contestant, Kinan al-Salaman described him as “one of Adabian music’s brightest young hopes” and declared that it was “a pleasure to work with him and to write him a song for this occasion.”

Malek, for his part, was optimistic as always and declared that he would be in his “best shape” for his upcoming WorldVision appearance. “It’s not every day that you are given an opportunity to represent your country in such a prestigious competition,” he stated at the press conference. “I sure won’t let you down.” The song that al-Salaman had written for him, he stated, describes the feelings of someone who, having come from a village or small town to the city (implied to be Adab City) for the first time, was going through culture shock. It is believed to be a semi-autobiographical account of and inspired by Malek’s experiences; he has not confirmed or denied this.

The performance
The stage was dark following the previous contestant’s exit, with not even one spot of light shining beyond the front row of the audience. In the midst of the gloom, they could see shadows moving around, filing onto the stage, accompanied by the sounds of what appeared to be musical instruments or cables or whatever it was, depending on who you asked. At this point, the audience noticed the LED panels at the back becoming somewhat brighter, every pixel now coming into life. The lighting panels around them shone in a serene blueish light and those in the venue were now beginning to recognize outline of the stage, itself shimmering in red that complimented the blue nicely.

As the light grew brighter, the LED panels began to show images of Adab City’s financial and shopping districts, recognizable by the multitude of high-rise buildings and ads and lights glowing in the night, while below and between them people and cars crowded the streets. The panels flashed from one image to another at a quick pace, contributing to the sense of disorientation prevalent in these images. Now a ring of red had formed around the stage, the wall was a beautiful blue, and the central area shone in gold. The first notes of the music were sounded; first the drum beats, then the guitar and bass. The backing band was occupying the orchestra pit; the orchestra had been politely asked to step aside to make room for the boys.

And then he entered, making his way to the central stage through the sloped walkway on the left. Riad Malek was wearing a gold jacket over his shirt and black trousers, his hair a bit undone. The mic was on the stand at the front of the stage; he promptly took it to the cheers of thousands who had gathered at the venue. “Good evening Rouen!” he bellowed on the mic, extending his other arm, his voice echoing across the place. “It’s great to see you here, all of you. You, you, and you of course. Let’s make this evening one to be remembered for a long time to come.” The audience, especially his fellow Adabians, cheered their approval.

Is this where the story starts?
Been searchin’ for a new place to carve my name
A rambler going around, got lost in the headlights
Do you know where I can start?
Have you got me a pointer or two?
I’m thinking of taking maybe a street or two
I wish you’d give up your treasure
If there’s an introduction, I must’ve fallen asleep, baby, and now I just don’t know
Until I find my way
Going around and around

The images on the LED panels were now focusing on a single person, wandering through the streets of the city, wading through the crowd and the lights and the noise. The camera zoomed out to show the entirety of the stage, with Riad making his way up and down the walkways and the band playing on. The band now took on backing vocals, adding to Riad’s statements.

(Where do I start now?)
I don’t know but I’ll find out
(Gimme a choice now)
Yet I’ll have to pave my way
(Someone please show me)
But the road to success is made by those who are bold enough to survive today

Riad was now back on the central stage, paved with gold that matched the gold of his jacket quite nicely. Slowly, he fell to the knees, taking the mic stand with him and looking up, as if searching for some guidance from the above as a blueish light pointed at him, shining down on him. The images on the LED panels had moved to the seedier, overcrowded parts of the city. The person was wandering around those parts, looking for something, something that could be of use, something that could make things better.

Walking down the street
Thought I had the cards but it seems I’ve forgotten them
Where am I to go now?
Baby I had a hundred tricks with me but now I’ve lost them all
Need something to fall back on
Walking down the street

Riad rose up and quietly put the mic back on the stand, while at the same time grabbing and holding onto the stand tightly with one hand. The other hand he slowly raised, perhaps in confusion, perhaps in desperation, but no one was quite sure.

Am I the lost or the dumb?
Been lookin’ for the key to this situation but does it exist at all?
Calm down, find someone to talk to
Any help would be appreciated, I’m just at the end of my wits
I could still come home, if I wanted to

(Where do I start now?)
I don’t know but I’ll find out
(Gimme a choice now)
Yet I’ll have to pave my way
(Someone please show me)
But the road to success is made by those who are bold enough to survive today

Riad was on the walkway to the right, strolling past the band and behind them, mic on his hand. The walkways were rising steadily. Riad was now at the back of the stage, at the point where the walkways met, rising above his band and the audience. The camera zoomed in on him as he took off his jacket, to a multitude of cheers and applauses in the audience, and flung it away at the general direction of the audience. The LED panels were now showing the person entering a dimly-lit room and talking to a shadow, and then a bunch of shadows; their faces were never shown.

Walking down the street
Thought I had the cards but it seems I’ve forgotten them (I’ve forgotten them)
Where am I to go now? (Where am I to go now)
Baby I had (baby I had a) a hundred tricks with me but now I’ve lost them all
Need something to fall back on
Walking down the street

The Adabian delegation in the audience cheered Riad and a few even rose to their feet to give him a standing ovation. Riad blew them a kiss and waved from his place at the back of the stage.

(Where do I start now?)
I don’t know but I’ll find out
(Gimme a choice now)
Yet I’ll have to pave my way
(Someone please show me)
But the road to success is made by those who are bold enough to survive today

(Where do I start now?)
Hoping you might take me around
(Gimme a choice now)
Desperate to be shown the way
(Where do I start now?)
I need to find out where I should go

With the song having reached its outro, the walkways returned to their original elevation, and Riad made his way back to the central stage. The music stopped, the LED panels shut down, and the lights dimmed. Riad and his band stayed onstage for a while, taking in the audience’s adulation. “Thank you Rouen! Good night!” he said, themselves applauding the audience as they exited the stage.

Entry No.7: NEKONI
Our Genesis
Haru
Based on: Changeling by Alison Moyet

Image

Haru Komoudjian is the oldest Nekoni entrant into the WVSC so far, at age 52, and boasts a long, expansive career until this point. She burst onto the pop charts in 1984 with the controversial synthpop track "Io, Puttana". Soon dropping her surname (for both brevity and because only three people in the music biz could spell it) Haru spent the rest of the 1980s trying to push the boundaries of what can be sung in the charts. With a string of singles banned from airplay in Nekoni for 'adult content', her success had largely been down to her album sales.

However, since other artists came and went, and the once-puritan music watchdogs gradually becoming more liberal of such content, she needed to reinvent herself many times, and Haru has largely come out of her many stylistic changes in credit, from a pop-rock period in the mid 1990s, through a floor-filling club anthem phase in the mid 2000s, and everything in between. Her fanbase may be divided at the best of times, naturally, and the critical reviews have tended to be scathing about her reputation as a trend-rider instead of a trend-setter these days, but the greater public has always had the final say, and they say she's doing just fine.

This song comes from her latest album, "Non ti dico niente", which continues her current trend of a darker, brooding electronic synthpop.

The stage is initially pitch black. There is an initial LED screen setup, with both of the back sides of the central 'area' of the stage containing one each, giving the centre the appearance of an opened cube, with Haru standing in the centre.

As the song begins, the full stage LED screen displays the soundwave of the guitar loop in a deep purple. As the vocals are about to come in, the inner LED screens steadily glow the same shade of purple, and from this increase of light, we see that Haru's hands are close to her, with her left holding the microphone stand and her right clutched to her heart. She is wearing a black leather suit jacket, opened, with a torn purple shirt underneath, a pleated black skirt and thigh-length boots.

Let me go, back to my initial stage
First phase
Two hands are wrapped around me

As she sings, she raises her free hand outwards, at which point the LED screens flash purple and fade into a sky of stars. As she continues, the stars steadily grow more numerous on screen. As she sings, Haru reaches her free hand down and grabs the microphone stand also.

Bring the light
And as we come together
The stars explode
This is a rebirth

Stars continue to fill the screen. As she sings the bridge, a film grain effect appears on the camera, flashing to a different type of distorted grain on each syllable, and disappearing when the line is finished.

If I can't have you then how could I exist?
We're gonna have to make up for the time we've missed

As the song reaches the first chorus, the screen displays the mass of stars coagulate into a single one. As the first note of the chorus is hit, the star explodes into a supernova in slow motion. She unhooks the microphone from the stand, and both her hands clasp the microphone as she steadily kneels, with her head raised. During the chorus, two stagehands dressed completely in black move the smaller LED screens so they are parallel on Haru's left and right, all facing the audience, with her directly in the centre.

Even if the skies will fall, I will still hold on
To your loving arms, keep me safe from harm
And in the embrace, a new day will dawn
Tonight is our genesis

During the instrumental, she places her hands by her sides, one on her hip, one on her thigh. A dancer, dressed in only black zentai trousers cartwheels out of the orchestral pit behind her. He acrobatically moves to her, placing his hands on the sides of her body, where her hands already are. The exact moment this happens, the second verse starts.

Break the walls,
In the blink of an eye, smash stones
In the dust, all life is dying

As this happens, she jerks her head to one side, and thrusts her hands out to the side, sending the dancer sprawling backwards in a backflip, landing crouched on his feet. The two screens to her side display as if they've been cracked, and during the verse, the cracks begin to fall like dust on the screen. The dancer runs forward, and just before he contacts her, Haru raises her hand, palm outstretched behind her, inches from his face.

Stop, undo, and press restart
The world begins, with two
This is our rebirth

Haru moves her palm to the left-hand side, and the dancer cartwheels to that side, and goes behind the screen. He emerges on the other side, moves in front of the screen and front-flips across the stage to her. This time, they both meet in the centre, looking each other straight in the eye.

If I can't have you then how could I exist?
We're gonna have to make up for the time we've missed

As the chorus begins, he grabs her in the same place that he tried to previously. This time, she allows it, and they embrace. As they do this, the stage is bathed in a white glow, and the wind machine is finally released. The LED screens are brought together behind them by the stagehands to create a central plinth.

Even if the skies will fall, I will still hold on
To your loving arms, keep me safe from harm
And in the embrace, a new day will dawn
Tonight is our genesis

As the instrumental section commences, the stagehands from earlier lift Haru onto their shoulders and carry her behind the plinth. The back of the plinth has steps, allowing her to climb on top of it. Whilst she does that, the acrobatic dancer has scaled the front of it already, and is displaying his upper-body strength with an exuberant display of balance at the front.

Our genesis

Balancing his entire body weight on his arms, he then rolls backwards, until he lands on his knees, in front of Haru. She embraces him from the back as white rose petals rain on them.

Even in the eye of the hurricane
I'm never gonna let go of you again
Open up our eyes to a brand new dawn
Tonight is our genesis

As the song reaches its end during the final chorus, Haru and the dancer both stand up, with the dancer's head nestled on her chest.
The song ends with strobe lights to match the stuttering ending synth.

As the audience cheers, the dancer jumps down, and helps Haru off the plinth. She blows kisses to the audience and waves. Although it's certainly not her first performance, it's clearly her biggest one yet.

08. IZMEDU
Dijana Jurina - Zaključan

Translation: Locked Up
Tune: Tamta - Unloved

Dijana Jurina was considered an up-and-coming name in the Izmeduan music industry. In her late 20s, she was a little bit late to the game for someone only about to make her big label debut. She was a minor dance-pop artist prior to her Izmepisma and WorldVision participation. Hailing primarily from Vodiznad, Dijana made a stable if chaotic living after dropping out of university to pursue a music career and taking on an intense schedule of gigging and live performances in hopes to secure a label position. This left her in a position of having extensive performance experiences, having been able to secure TV spots in variety and late night shows, but not much original material to work with. It wasn't until fairly recently that Dijana began to contemplate producing original songs.

Her performance experience as an extensively gigging singer and dancer began to pay off. At the age of 27, Dijana was signed to a minor recording deal with a ZvizdeZapis subsidiary label. Even if it did cost a lot of having to settle down, Dijana was finally able to land something of a stable career after years of having to perform for relatively little pay and not much audience engagement. For this deal, Dijana was afforded the option to be able to have one guaranteed single. It was continent on how well the song would fare on the charts, but Dijana figured that even securing a deal was a miracle on Izmedu's notoriously tough industry. It took her 7 years to even get any traction, so Dijana went through the songwriting and production process with as much gusto as she could muster.

Taking from themes often common in dance pop singers she was inspired by, “Zakljucan” (translation: Locked Up) was the resulting product. The song itself was written through a two-person writing team to which she recounted a story of being rather emotionally numb throughout her life inter-mixed in with a personal story from a friend of hers who was trying to seek a relationship while maintaining a career. Specifically, Dijana wanted the song to sound like a plea and emotional confession set to an intense dance track. She wanted the pain of having to confess and be emotionally honest with one's self while being hidden with a dance routine. The song began to catch fire within the music industry bubble, with demos of Dijana's track floating around and catching the eye of producers from the major labels.

This proved to be a boon for Dijana. Miracle timing meant that she was also recording the song at around the time that RTI were hosting an open call for Izmepisma submissions. By the time the call was opened, a considerable name had been attached to the Zakljucan project and the demos had largely been complete. Despite some hesitation within Dijana's management, she thought that submitting the current version of the song would result in her getting somewhere. She had nothing to lose but everything to gain from the process. Thus, she submitted the demo for Izmepisma consideration. She wasn't even expecting to be in the final top 18 for Izmepisma, only hoping for at least one callback.

Her eventual Izmepisma journey was more than just that, she went all the way to the win and became the Izmeduan representative. Submitting the song was only the beginning. After numerous callbacks and agreements, her song made it past the many rounds of culling to become the final 18 that would compete in Izmepisma proper. She was, unexpectedly, installed as the favorite to win Izmepisma right from the domestic release of that song. The support around her song was at a fever pitch, the hype around her rehearsals intense, and she ultimate re-affirmed that favorite status. She beat Gabrijel and Jakov, two other fancies hotly tipped to be spoilers, to become the Izmepisma winner. Her win was well-received, many calling “Zakljucan” as a necessary re-fresh for the Izmeduan entry.

The pressure was on Dijana as her performance slot was up. Being in Rouen, Normandy and Picardy made the experience feel just a little bit more real. There was far more at stake here than just winning a domestic song contest, she knew she bore the work of previous Izmeduan contestants. She took a deep breath and stepped onto the stage...

-The Izmeduan language is a somewhat hybridized version of the Croatian language and the extinct Dalmatian language, speakers of any South Slavic language should be able to follow the song without translations to a certain extent. Izmeduan also uses a slightly different spelling format as it follows the 'Ikavian' dialect and form of the Common Slavic jat reflex. Words such as 'Svijet' in standard Croatian are 'Svit' in Izmeduan.
-In this current version of Izmeduan (not shared by our JWHF entries), the Izmeduan language has more elements borrowed from the Dalamatian language, and thus there are more romantic influences resonating within the language than before.
-Izmeduan borrows its entire alphabet from Croatian, including all of its diacritics.
-Č is pronounced with a hard 'ch,' like the word Church
-ć is pronounced with a soft 'ch,' like the word Child
-š is pronounced with an 'sh' sound, like the word Sheep
-ž is pronounced with a hard z-like 's' sound on a second syllable, like the 's' in the word Measure
-A translation is provided at the end of the entry

Stage lights billowed down to the center at the Stade du Parc. The presence of a live orchestra would normally. prove to be a boon. However, due to the song's dance-heavy nature, RTI has elected to forego the orchestra, clear the orchestra pit for more movement space, and use a backing track. Dijana is situated at the central platform, waiting for her cue. The start of the Izmeduan entry was marked with the soft plucks of an electric guitar, with electronic production in the wings waiting to make its mark. The Stade du Parc's background lights began to flash a dim purple. A spotlight shone on Dijana, standing in a shadow as the song made its introductory paces. She would be singing to a headset.

Mi amar baud, damnoćen jamno
Neviđen pol, o ardari me
Molim slobodi me, oslobodi me

For the first verse, there emphasis on making sure that the camera shots were dynamic and close, a cinematic filter added to the view. At the start of this verse, the purple lights flashed bright as Dijana and background vocalists vocalized a loud 'I,' before cutting to a view of Dijana's side profile. She sang these lyrics with one hand to her chest, her tone mournful, solemn, and yet sultry. She caught the camera with a hard gaze, beginning to walk forward slowly at the end of the first verse. She'd make careful arm movements at each lyric, the camera occasionally fading to close-ups to these movements before ending with a full body shot Dijana in the darkness.

Ovaj fuma, ovaj strast sentirem
Nemoj me pustiti, trebam te čaike
Molim slobodi me, oslobodi me

The continuation of the first verse saw beats began to be added to the instrumentation. The lights began to strobe slightly, the Stade du Parc pulsing in an array of white and purple lights. Dijana began to step forward and sway her body slightly as appropriate to the lyrics. Her expression and body movements were one of desperate yearning. Her arms and eyes were constantly reaching for the camera, her steps reaching every so closer to the camera but always unable to reach it. For the final line, her vocals would intensify slightly, the camera lingering at another side profile view as she was seen clutching both hands at the end of the verse.

Postojim u tišikare
Sam slomjen, sam slomjen, sam zaključan
Postojim zaključano
Sam slomjen, sam slomjen, sam zaključan

At the start of the chorus, the strobing lights ceased as the camera made fluid switches between wide and close-up shots. Behind Dijana, swirls of virtual wind began to slowly appear on the LED panel looking like haunting veils. The purple lights would dominate the configuration as the camera switched angles at every 'sam slomjen' and 'sam zakljucan.' Dijana would remain stock still aside from a few arm movements, letting her vocals resonate at the song's eventual build-up to its drop.

Ne mogu živjeti u pol
Sam slomjen, sam slomjen, sam zaključan
Postojim u tišikare
Sam slomjen, sam slomjen, sam zaključan
Sam zaključan

Dijana's vocals were stronger for this part of this chorus. She belted out each lyric, wringing out every single inch of emotion from the confession of being locked up inside. Her expression would reflect such an existential horror as she sang these lyrics, the camera views emphasizing her fear through sustained close-ups. Around her, the stage lights were pulsing and strobing to the song's frenetic build-up. The purple lights began to take on a darker hue as white lights can be seen moving around. Once a beat began to be added to the build-up by the fourth line, Dijana can be seen getting into position ready to do some choreography as she stepped back. The camera switched to a wide view of the entire stage at the fourth line. The stage went dark for a micro-second to account for that brief silence...

As soon as Dijana sang the chorus' closer and the song's title, the song immediately went towards its trademark and furious dance drop. Dijana's choreography was tight and coordinated, doing slight squats as each 'step' she took seemed to have visibly 'cracked' the floor through a screen floor effect. This 'crack' effect, similar to a broken/shattered mirror, would also begin to be reflected upon the screen panels on the Stade du Parc's back wall. Each step she took from each squat and stomp seemed to have broken the floor further. This was in time with the frenetically strobing lights and instrumentation. Each movement of her feet was also timed with intricate hand movements, ones that symbolically represented Dijana closing in on in herself.

Sam zaključan

With one more repetition of the song's title, this only served to intensify the song's dance break even further. Carefully timed to that, Dijana kneeled and 'punched' the floor. The camera would maintain an overhead view as she did that action. When she 'punched' the floor, the cracks chaotically dissolved into a blue portal that was swirling around the floor and on the screen panels behind her. The dance break continued on as a motion blur and slow-mo effect was added, with her continuing her choreography on the floor and looking as if she was having a moment of insanity as her head bobbed to the right in slow-mo. By the end of the dance break, the camera view faded to a close bird's eye perspective of Dijana laying on the floor, surrounded by the liquid-esque blue portal. Through careful camera manipulation, Dijana looked as if she was floating in that portal.

Probine cre, ultre mučenje
Samo tvoja, možeš spasiti
Molim te spasi me, Molim spasi me

For the second verse, Dijana sang all of it while lying down. The camera made slow movements above her, emphasizing her loneliness amongst the floor screen effects swirling around her. The pleading tone of the verse was emphasized with the way she was reaching for the camera at certain parts. The start of this verse saw her clench her chest and almost writhing in pain, then reaching out during the second and third lines. Throughout this, the camera began to float up, making it look like Dijana was getting lost within the portal as 'copies' of her began to be produced, all slowly falling into the vortex.

Ovaj fuma, ovaj strast sentirem
Nemoj me pustiti, trebam te čaike
Molim te spasi me, Molim spasi me

The continuation of the verse saw once more the build-up to the song's trademark chorus. The camera would occasionally flash to wide stage shots even as she was still lying down on the floor, accentuating the slightly strobing lights and continued purple hue of the Stade du Parc's stage configuration. However, the camera kept to Dijana as she let out a bit more of her vocal strength and passion here. The portal around her began to 'freeze' as she was beginning to get up at the third line, just in time for the chorus.

Postojim u tišikare
Sam slomjen, sam slomjen, sam zaključan
Postojim zaključano
Sam slomjen, sam slomjen, sam zaključan

For the chorus, the lights in the Stade du Parc flashed a bright white at the start before softening to a white. On the background panels were the vortexes beginning to pulse and swirl to the growing instrumentation. Dijana made the same movements as per the earlier chorus. She kept her vocals deep and foreboding, remaining steady as she got up from the floor and caught the camera with her eyes. The camera view remained close to her, making sure to emphasize her expression. There were key close-ups of her hand and arm movements, especially as she reached them out towards the audience or to the side.

Ne mogu živjeti u pol
Sam slomjen, sam slomjen, sam zaključan
Postojim u tišikare
Sam slomjen, sam slomjen, sam zaključan
Sam zaključan

This chorus' second half had a much more intense execution than the initial chorus. There was a little bit more extra behind the instrumentation, the build-up being slightly more intense as the drum beats were added. On the screens in the background and the floor, the vortex that she laid upon began to swirl. Storms began to develop in those vortexes, at some points almost pulsing with virtual lightning strikes without abandon. Dijana reacted to these, her expression becoming panicked which coincided with a more intense delivery of the lyrics. She began to reach for the upper registers of her voice as the camera alternated between mid and close views. The lightning on the screen meshed almost too well with the strobing lights by the fourth line. At the end of the chorus, the lights went briefly dark once more for a microsecond...

At the drop, Dijana did an even more intense dance-routine. She swayed about with intense body gyrations as well squatting and doing intense hand motions. This drop was on a slightly different instrumental bent, causing the lights to strobe even more chaotically than they ever have. The background and floor screens were even more chaotic, the storm from earlier now having completely devolved into a swirling portal that threatened to suck Dijana, and in a brief but key wide angle, almost the whole stage. In that angle, it looked as if Dijana was being sucked in from her position as she was standing on a virtual whirlpool.

Sam zaključan

She passionately belted out the song's title once more, causing a motion blur effect to appear around the camera shots. There was a frenetic switch between close-ups during the strobing lights and wide angle shots. At the drop's second half, the portal/whirlpool almost began to 'close-in' on Dijana as she kept dancing. In rough approximation to those whirlpools, the lights around their respective areas also began to shut off with them, making it look as if the more Dijana danced the more she was being isolated. At a certain point, the 'closing in' stopped as Dijana paused her choreography.

Ne mogu živjeti u pol
Sam slomjen, sam slomjen, sam zaključan
Postojim u tišikare
Sam slomjen, sam slomjen, sam zaključan
Sam zaključan

For this reprise of the chorus, Dijana was 'broken free' from being enveloped almost by an external force. The whirlpool was expanded out as she restarted her vocals and choreography. It looked as if the portal/whirlpool she was dancing upon was beginning to be 'repaired' piece by piece at each step she took. It began to be covered by the black mirror that she hypothetically stood on, some parts of the whirlpool now fading into black as Dijana kept dancing intensely. The lights went from strobing to just pulsing, timing themselves to the instrumentation. The camera once more alternated, expertly going between close-ups and wide shots to emphasize the stage effects and Dijana's frantic emotions. At the end of the song, she ended the entry by clasping two hands to her chest.

She could be heard breathing heavily for a few seconds before her microphone was equalized to account for the fact she was no longer singing. Dijana blew a kiss to the Normand crowd.

"Hvala lipa! Volim vas Normandy and Picardy!" Dijana shouted and then walked backstage.

My bitter voice, damaged soul
Unseen pain, it burns me
Please set me free, set me free

This hunger, this desire I feel
Don't let me go, I need you here
Please set me free, set me free

I exist in silence
I'm broken, I'm broken, I'm locked up
I exist in pain
I'm broken, I'm broken, I'm locked up

I can't live in pain
I'm broken, I'm broken, I'm locked up
I exist in silence
I'm broken, I'm broken, I'm locked up
I'm locked up

I'm locked up

Ruptured hearts, beyond agony
Only you, can rescue
Please save me, please save me

This hunger, this desire I feel
Don't let me go, I need you here
Please save me, please save me

I exist in silence
I'm broken, I'm broken, I'm locked up
I exist in pain
I'm broken, I'm broken, I'm locked up

I can't live in pain
I'm broken, I'm broken, I'm locked up
I exist in silence
I'm broken, I'm broken, I'm locked up
I'm locked up

I'm locked up

I can't live in pain
I'm broken, I'm broken, I'm locked up
I exist in silence
I'm broken, I'm broken, I'm locked up
I'm locked up

Därnaria- "Let`s Dance

Aternative version of Fuego is placed here

Many fans felt that Darkmania may skip out on Worldvision as DaTV, the darkmanian brodcaster, are orginizing the World Hit Festival. DaTV hovever confirmed that Darkmania will take part, even if they got the burden of hosting the WHF. Their entry is of norwegian language as always, but has a titte in English title "Let`s dance" wia a music video. After the music video of "Lets Dance" was realised, Darkmania began climing into the odds and was one of the hot favourites to win the Worldvision. Since "Darky" has won 2 of 3 song contests (JWHF & WHF), Darkmania one again eyes on WV to see they take their first WV win. To help them, they send Märyanna "Därnaria" Erÿngersmiv, a young 21 year old universty student, who has been in WV before, but in the audicence, not on stage.

Därnaria enters the wide WV stage with a full-packed audience from all over the world. A sea of flags are the first thing Därnaria sees. With a brown leather jacket, Därmania is set to go on the stage in order to finish the tripple crown.

The song begins and Därnaria walks all along on stage. Even the orchestra has left their post due to their safety over the overuse of fire the staging has. A backing track is used instead. Därnaria walks with only a spotlight from her back shining on her like she is about "to slay", as some fans call it. A weak light makes the staging almost dark, with the LED being turned off.

Søte gutt, bli med meg
(Cute boy, join me)

Bruk magi med dine øyne
(Use magic with your eyes)

Bruk din kraft på min hud
(Use your power on my skin)

The LED walls turn on creating a weak fire on the wall, as Därnaria still alone beings to move around the stage on her high heels and with her leopard skinned trousers on.

Se på meg, rør på med
(Look at me, touch on me)

Du vet hvordan forføre meg
(You know how you sedcuse me)

Ja, hold den opp, hold den opp
(yes, keep it up, keep it up)

Out of the blue comes two backup dancers and joins her with the same, well-rehearsed dance moves. Both of the two dancers are dressed in urban style, typically like what a normal female university student would wear if they went to the club.

The audience seems to sing along the song who has been as widely tipped as a contender for the win. Sure, "Dårky", might win this, but Darkmania hasn't had a good record when it comes to WV. But when the audience at the venue begins to sing the song DaTV have sent to Rouen, then something might have changed. Back to the RP instead of adding a blatant text-wall filler, the two dancers follow the main singer move and copy it.

La oss få en høy, høy, høy glederus
(Let us get a high, high euphoria)

Vi danser til Molly-en tar slutt
(We are dancing till the Molly is over)

Jeg blir veldig høy, høy, høy med deg
(I`m getting very high, high, high with you)

Musikken slår i takt og bordet brekk
((The) Music is in rhythm and the table is breaking)

Jeg gjør deg våt som elven
(I make you wet as the river)

Ah yeah ah yeah ah yeah
Yeah ah yeah ah yeah

Th TV-producer randomly cuts of the Quepilot-schedule f to broadcast that for some of the competitors are singing and dancing along to the song from Darkmania. Even the one from Nekoni, who just came to the Greenroom, are seen singing and dancing to the song. After 10 seconds of Greenroom dancing, we cut back to the normal Quepilot-schedule the host has added for Darkmania.

Musikken slår i takt og bordet brekk
((The) Music is in rhythm and the table is breaking)

Jeg gjør deg våt som elven
(I make you wet as the river)

Ah yeah ah yeah ah yeah
Yeah ah yeah ah yeah

Let`s Dance! (Hey)
Let`s Dance! (Hey)

We see a repeat of the same dance moves as Dänaria and her back up dancers.

Ah yeah ah yeah ah yeah
Yeah ah yeah ah yeah
Let`s Dance!

Pust meg in, Riv ned alt
(Breath me in, pul down everting)

Hva fanken du knuser
(Whatever the heck you`re breaking)

Ingen regler er gylige nå, nettopp
(No rules is valid now, just)

La oss få en høy, høy, høy glederus
(Let us get a high, high euphoria)

Vi danser til Molly-en tar slutt
(We are dancing till the Molly is over)

Jeg blir jævla høy, høy, høy med deg
(I`m getting f____ing high, high, high with you)

Musikken slår i takt og bordet brekk
((The) Music is in rhythm and the table is breaking)

Jeg gjør deg våt som elven
(I make you wet as the river)

Ah yeah ah yeah ah yeah
Yeah ah yeah ah yeah

Kropp og kropp er i et og vi brekker alt
(Body and body is in one and we break everthing)

Herregud, ikke stopp nå
(Oh my God, don`t stop now)

Ah yeah ah yeah ah yeah
Yeah ah yeah ah yeah

Let`s Dance! (Hey)
Let`s Dance! (Hey)

Ah yeah ah yeah ah yeah
Yeah ah yeah ah yeah
Let`s Dance!

The two backup dancers run quickly, making Därnaria all alone on the stage again.

Vi danser til Molly-en tar slutt
(We are dancing till the Molly is over)

Jeg blir veldig høy, høy, høy med deg
(I`m getting very high, high, high with you)

The two dancers now become 4 and with 5 flames every second, the stage gets "lit". Quick spotters in the audience notice that the left earpiece gets loose and falls off after a hair whip. The right one is stuck in their place, so no problems are being caused. The wire prevents the falling earpiece from falling off completely and hit the floor, but it gets noticed and it gets memed to death.

Musikken slår i takt og bordet brekk
((The) Music is in rhythm and the table is breaking)

Jeg gjør deg våt som elven
(I make you wet as the river)

Ah yeah ah yeah ah yeah
Yeah ah yeah ah yeah

While dancing and holding her microphone, she puts her earpiece back to its place on the left ear. More fires are thrown, lighting up the stage and its gets "lit", as the kids say these days.

Kropp og kropp er i et og vi brekker alt
(Body and body is in one and we break everthing)

Herregud, ikke stopp nå
(Oh my God, don`t stop now)

Ah yeah ah yeah ah yeah
Yeah ah yeah ah yeah

Let`s Dance! (Hey)
Let`s Dance! (Hey)
ah yeah ah yeah ah yeah
Yeah ah yeah ah yeah

A wave of positive human screaming called cheering drowns the venue as Darkmania was finished with their 3 minutes of music. "Tusen Takk, Røyen!" "Thank you so much". Därnaria having uses 85% of her voice on her song, making her tired in the voice as she takes off her earpieces as the camera shows just normal fans from Darkmania.

Llalta is next on the line. Take it away.

Just Be You!
Niamh Callaghan ft. Patricia

After incredible ratings throughout Llalta and overwhelming support for Llalta's participation in the contest, the LBN (Llaltese Broadcasting Network) decided to enter a delegation into the contest. However, due to Llalta's abysmal population of around 2,300, there was trouble finding an artist who would represent Llalta in Worldvision. No one signed up for LBN's national final and Llalta was going to pull out. After a lot of sweet talk and bribery an Irish singer, Niamh Callaghan stepped up to sing along with Llaltese drag queen, Patricia. They will perform Llalta's debut entry into Worldvision, 'Just Be You!', a song about being yourself no matter what others think.

_________________________________________________________________

After the crowd finally quietens down, the stage lights up, illuminating the flags waving in the crowd. The LEDs show hills, fields and trees, all tinted orange from the sun which sits behind the largest hill in the centre. The sky is a beautiful orangey-blue colour. On stage, 4 beautiful dancers (dressed like Patricia in the photo) wave rainbow feather fans in the air. As the flute plays, Patricia is slowly lowered to the ground playing the flute (dressed the same as in the photo). When she reaches the stage she walks forward and sings, doing hand movements to the lyrics. The dancers wave their fans behind her, copying Patricia's movements. The crowd starts to sing alongside Patricia.
Open your eyes,
Open your ears,
Believe in your heartbeat,
When shadows so cold, lead you astray,
Just believe,

As she says believe, she raises her arms up before doing spin, landing into a dancer's arms, who swiftly drops her in shock. Patricia tries to stand up but the dancers ignore her. She ends up getting up herself before slapping the dancer on the ass. The camera swiftly switches to Niamh Callaghan, wearing a shimmering multicoloured dress, who walks forwards from the shadows and begins to sing the bridge. The stage darkens into purples and blues as the LED sun disappears behind a cloud. The crowd cheers.
Just because they tell you,
Your something that you're not,
Don't give in, Don't give up, Stand Strong

The stage lights up as the LED sun rises up and turns into a disco ball, lighting up the LED scenery multicoloured like a rave. Niamh and Patricia stand forward hand in hand to the front of the stage singing the chorus. The dancers follow suite and do a crazy yet still rhythmic dance with their fans. The crowd sing along, but much louder.
No more lies, No more sorrow,
No more shadows, to lead you astray,
When the storm passes over your heart,
And clear blue skies,
Just be you!

The LED scenery returns to orangey, but this time each beat the hills light up white. The scenery Niamh and Patricia split ways, Niamh goes to the right and Patricia goes to the left. The camera switches to only Patricia, who pulls out her flute and plays whilst the dancers start doing suggestive moves around Patricia but not together. Patricia starts singing towards the camera. Then, the camera turns to Niamh, starts to sing her part, smiling. The dancers are also there somehow there, dancing more elegantly.
Just take a big stride,
One step at a time,
Believe in yourself,
Knock aside those,
Who hold you back from success,

The stage turns black and blue, the dancers run to the front and into a circle, creating a tall barrier, raising their fans up. Despite not being present in the centre, Niamh and Patricia rise up in the centre as they sing the bridge.
Just because they tell you,
Your something that you're not,
Don't give in, Don't give up, Stand Strong

The stage yet again turns back into a rave, the LED sun turning into a disco ball. The dancers run out into the front of the stage, doing another rhythmic yet slightly suggestive dance. Niamh and Patricia join them at the front a sing, using their hands a lot. They point towards the camera as they say the last line. Flags bob up and down in the stadium as the crowd continues to sing along.
No more lies, No more sorrow,
No more shadows, to lead you astray,
When the storm passes over your heart,
And clear blue skies,
Just be you!

The stage turns back to black and blue. They camera pans to Patricia and the dancers, who stride slowly to the right of the stage, Patricia in the front. Patricia then tumbles offstage with a scream and the dancers look worried, confused and one who pumps her fist in joy. The camera quickly switches to Niamh who, despite still singing perfectly, looks worried and glances over at Patricia's direction before realising she is on camera and smiles awkwardly. the dancers carry on dancing, also smiling awkwardly.
Just because they tell you,
Your something that you're not,

Don't give in, Don't give up, Stand Strong

The LEDs turn back into a rave, but this time even more crazy. Golden sparks rain from the ceiling and from the stage. However, as soon as the first line is sung in the chorus, Patricia is shown flying into the sky via an almost invisible cord, now wearing a golden leotard, her face poking through a probably-cardboard golden star. Niamh stops singing for a moment as she sees her but carries on. The dances then jump, and are subsequently lifted of the stage to join Patricia in the sky, flipping and spinning. The dancer's ponchos and hats are pulled off, revealing golden bikinis. Niamh is also pulled off the stage, much to her dismay. Her dress is pulled off to reveal a shimmering golden dress. Niamh, Patricia and the dancers all sing in the air.
No more lies, No more sorrow,
No more shadows, to lead you astray,
When the storm passes over your heart,
And clear blue skies,
Just be you!
(Just be you!)

As they sing the final line, golden sparks fly one final time.
Just Be you!

The crowd cheers loudly as Patricia and Niamh are lowered to the ground, where they bow. "Thank you World - Just Be You!!" They say in unison. Patricia blows flying kisses to the crowd as they walk off.

Little Johnny - Poutine
English | Tune:
Jimmy Buffett - Boat Drinks

Image
Little Johnny, as he appears for performance

Little Johnny's last recorded hit record came out in 1987. In the time since then he released 2 albums that failed to chart, and had a very public bout with depression that led to alcoholism. He became a public joke. #NotSoberJohnny was a meme that was used as a public ad campaign aimed at alcohol abuse awareness.

His public image had begun to shift in recent years, though he was still seen as a drunk. Now he had a reality show which really allowed the public access to his personal life. His music had been resurgent on local radio stations and Little Johnny was ready for a comeback.

The Music begins to play.
The lights lift to show the stage, covered in flowers, red, yellow and orange.
to one side there is a flower arrangement.

Little Johnny, guitar in hand, dances out from the wings. He is clad in his typical beachy attire and sunglasses. With a signature smile on his face, Little Johnny begins to sing the song.

Poutine
All my friends told me "get poutine"
some gravy french fries and some curd cheese
and top it off with Special Dåtsche sauce

A rolling billboard is wheeled onto the stage behind Little Johnny. The image displayed depicts a plate of Poutine next to a bottle of Special Dåtsche Sauce.

My Wife says
drive me to all of these places
we could go just about anywhere
or we could just go back home....

Little Johnny pulls out a case of Golden Cross beer, cracking open multiple cans.

He begins downing them.

Waterfall
Cheers,
now i'm drowning in beer
i'll be wasted , way too far gone
eatin' poutine, enjoying this beautiful morn.

The rolling billboard is wheeled onto the stage again behind Little Johnny. This time it shows a beach.

Vhys Beach
Don't think i've seen such a nice beach
A picnic with all the best Dåtsche eats
complete with a shore and a song.

Little Johnny falls into the flower arrangement, flower petals fly everywhere as he crashes to the stage.

The music continues

A spotlight shines on Little Johnny

I like to drink and i don't like to think
Sitting around in the sun
When i get wasted there's only one place
that can accomodate my need for fun

Little Johnny jumps up from the spot he sat in and starts dancing across the stage, shaking his hips to the music, in a carefree, drunken happy state.

TOMORrow
i'm gonna drown all my sorrow
i got a bottle of Merlot
Poutine's the best when you're drunk!

Little Johnny starts guzzling beer, dumping it all over himself and the stage. He starts throwing beer cans into the audience to the gracious and thirsty people.

Poutine
All my friends told me "get poutine"
some gravy french fries and some curd cheese
and top it off with Special Dåtsche sauce
top it off with Special Dåtsche-
top it off with Special Dåtsche-
top it off with Special Dåtsche-
Don't forget the special DATSCHE SAUCE!!!!

I'm on the go
and i like potatoes
FEEL MY FLOW, how the words go
POUTINE'S THE BEST WHEN YOUR DRUNK!

"YEAH!"Little Johnny jumps up in excitement at the conclusion of the song. He stares into the audience for an uncomfortably long moment, then exits the stage.

NILSEN - In Vain

Tune: Chase Atlantic - Keep It Up

The lights went down.

A soft hush fell over the crowd.
The room filled with fog, and blue lights began to illuminate the hazy cloud that was the stage. In the heat of the arena, time seemed suspended as the light flickered, reflecting on the fog.

Nilsen hailing from Attamark, Syrche had been performing as a duo for nearly three years, with Freddie handling the vocal work, while Rand was more the instrumentation. They were well known throughout Hollister County and Pein County as an up-and-coming act.

The sound of a saxophone cut through the silence, signaling that the orchestra had begun the song.

The two brothers, Freddie and Rand step out to reveal themselves, back to back in the fog of the stage.

Freddie moves forward, Mic in hand, and begins to sing, as the bass and percussion of the live orchestra come in.

I'm at a party ; bottles poppin in every room
bass cranked up so loud i can't communicate with you

Rand moved forward this time, guitar in hand, and prepared to riff.

It's going down, i swear this scene is getting profane
i feel the mood start to change, but hey, baby thats the aim of the game

As the chorus begins, pyrotechnics in the front of the stage put off a row of five flashs, while the backdrop is lit up by 5 spears or glittering yellow light shooting up the led display in unison.

We may be Young, but we'll never be living in vain
We were Barely Buzzed Drunk, but You only live once anyway
I'm not done having fun I like living this way
You only live once...but i know i'm not living in vain

The lighting turns back to the blueish colors used at the beginning of the performance

As Freddie starts singing the next verse, he moves stage right.
Rand moves Stage left.

She's leaning forward, she's talking with her eyes right now.
she's back and forth, barely even a trace of doubt
Lets take a dive, embrace the moment, live for today
the future is now, we're wild, and she's about to give it away

The Led turns back to the spears of glittering light.
Freddie throws his left fist in the air, pumping it as he heads back into the chorus.

We may be Young, but we'll never be living in vain
We were Barely Buzzed Drunk, but You only live once anyway
I'm not done having fun I like living this way
You only live once...but i know i'm not living in vain

The lights turn down to a muted blue color.
Freddie moves back center stage, silhouetted, as the fog begins to waft onto the stage.
The backlights turn up a little to reveal silhouette Freddie facing stage right, somberly.

Dære Werdes,
Symmatere, Communique....
ja feldta din skein og mein
Vin alsom reatt a du atage

Det inte klære heifen hvor vi nescetir sager
Men for nå, lader remni stil en placere

The lights went out, and the music cut momentarily, before the chorus came back in, accompanied by bursts of flash powder at the front of the stage, and shimmers of gold and silver on the back displays.

We may be Young, but we'll never be living in vain
We were Barely Buzzed Drunk, but You only live once anyway
I'm not done having fun I like living this way
You only live once...but i know i'm not living in vain

The music cut out and Freddie and Rand stood on the stage.

"Thank You Rouen!" Freddie said, followed by
"Thank You Normandy and Picardy" from Rand.

The pair left the stage.

[English Translation]

Two words
Symmetry, Communicate
I feel your skin against mine
with every breath that you take

It's not clear, half of what we needed to say
but for now lets remain still in place.

Celine - We Are The Fighters
Loreen - We Got The Power

Image
Celine

Chosen via the national final process, Besarfest, Celine achieved a lead over her counterparts in the grand final.
Celine Bahmer is a 23 year old woman, living in Lachana but recording music in Besen. She developed an appetite for music really young, and learned how to play piano at the age of 9. She enrolled in multiple theatre schools, tried out for acting roles and even went to the Royal Besenian College of the Arts. However, her life truly changed when she auditioned- at the age of 18 -for X Factor Besein. The judges said they liked her raw ability and fire. She made it all the way to 3rd place. She since has released some music, but mostly just writing songs for other artists. She signed up for Besarfest because she wanted something more, well, here it is, Celine.

Evident on the LED screen, is Celine's battered face. She has been crying and her mascara looks smudged. Pain seeps through her face, and her eyes tell many stories. The guitar strumming in the beginning, initiates the first wide camera shot of the stage. Celine and four dancers are in a diamond formation. She wears a tight, nude bodysuit- hugging her physique. Her hair isn't too tidy, but presentable enough to look fashionable, the dancers behind have similarities. Her microphone is attached to her head rather than in her hand.
Dance your way through the feeling
Lead your pain, let it perish
He took your heart, now you recieve it-
The power of control!

A wide audience shot, reveals the many people, waving their flags and cheering. Panned back to the centre of the stage, Celine reaches out to interact with them. She journeys to the front, cautiously and carefully. The authoritative manner of the shots on her make the scene uncomfortably intriguing and alluring. The dancers quickly follow her, moving behind her routinely. She sings with anger and persistence.
In the dark, you make-believe and
Let yourself drown- we are sinking
Feel my doubt and just believe it
Now, just let me go!

Running on the spot, all five figures on the stage, resentment flashes across their faces. A tight camera shot covers this, panning slowly left to right. A light red wraps around the stage, resembling ferocity. Furthermore, on TV, roses appear at the edges of the screen.
We got our feelings
Never beneath them
A mannequin, faceless
Starting all over
And in our own spaces
Running, you're so heartless
I can't ever love again

Raising her fist, Celine sings out to the audience, her other hand placed onto her heart. The cameras cut to the audience, many holding up their fists as well. In her eyes, an intense authority. Her stance is tight and there aren't much more movements from the dancers, either. Heard in the background are the (u-u-u-up) parts, supported by backing singers. A dark shade of purple rushes across the scene.
We are the fighters!
We are the fighters!
We are the fighters!
We are the fighters!
We won't give u-u-u-u-up
We are the fighters!
We are the fighters!

The male dancers assert their dominance over the ladies, demonstrating lifts and jumps. The women's faces show anquish. Celine walks through this, shaking her head lightly. All of the dancers and Celine point to one of the men, with woefulness.
He knows, what he's doing
In her brain, what's she thinking?
Eery breath, she can feel it
Crawling down her spine!

Celine is shown to be silently screaming on the LED. The camera cuts to a close-up of her, reaching out and expressing the song. On the word, "drown", a lighter blue makes up the area.
In the dark, you make-believe and
Let yourself drown- I am sinking
Feel my doubt and just believe it
Now, just let us go!

This time actually running to the other end of the stage, everyone connotes a certain struggle within themselves. Some tug at their hair, some grip onto themselves. Celine simply stares blankly at the camera, which was quickly backing up in front of them.
We got our feelings
Never beneath them
A mannequin, faceless
Starting all over
And in our own spaces
Running, you're so heartless
I can't ever love again

All of the dancers stand tall, raising a fist, as well as Celine, once more. Hurt is conveyed as she sings rather lightly and tenderly. The camera reveals most of the arena participating. Mist covers the ground, slowly bleeding in from each side of the stage. The LED version of Celine mysteriously disappears, leading to mostly blackness.
We are the fighters!
We are the fighters!
We are the fighters!
We are the fighters!
We won't give u-u-u-u-up
We are the fighters!
We are the fighters!

Overcome with emotion now, Celine finally belts the final stretch of the song. Her dancers spreading to each side, moving ferociously, with intent. The camera is widened to express this whole scene. "Oh-oh-oh-oh", the audience seemed to be repeating this along with the singers. Celine looked out at them overwhelmed with love.
Now, let us go, let us go (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
We want to go! I hate this love (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
Now, let us go, let us go (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
We want to go! I hate this love (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)

The finale of the song leaves everybody on stage to stand still, looking at the floor.
"Thank you so, so much. Remember- you are never alone!" Celine utters before she exits the stage, emotionally.

Toni Refar was born in Zun,near the national theatre. He won the WV 65 qualifiers with a surprising ease.By describing the song he always says: ”I wrote this song, because it reminds of an old school times and my depression which started after I broke up with my girlfriend.”
Toni has wrote more than 25 songs,2 of them are the hits in Lochario. We promised him not to translate the lyrics in English, since he respects the Locharian language.

15 | Nightom | Jaxel Wykeham - Hold Your Head Up High

Postby Nightom » Tue May 29, 2018 5:13 am

#15 NIGHTOM
Jaxel Wykeham - "Hold Your Head Up High"
Tune : Robert DeLong - "My Favourite Colour Is Blue (Official Video)"

Nightom is returning to the 65th WorldVision Song Contest, held in the wonderful city of Rouen (Normandy & Picardy), after taking it's usual ten edition break from the contest. Nightom is hoping to reach in to their bag of luck like they did ten editions ago in Todlichebujoku/Izmedu - whichever of the two that hosted WV55.

Nightom is the nation out of the former ABEN states to have participated the least, with this edition only being the third attempt. Despite this, Nightom is one of the two nations to have won the competition, with Estogium and Aloquirbe still waiting their turn to reach gold. It all happened during the 55th WorldVision Song Contest, when the odds for Nightom were at a usual low. However, during the contest, Matinée Schylestreake with her song, "I Will Not Concede" scored a different note with those voting at home and the international juries. What may have helped it's success was the fact that this song was previously sent to the World Hit Festival, and scored 4th place. As her song suggest, she did not concede, and sent this song to WorldVision. Scoring 95 points in a shock win, Nightom received 12 points from Normandy and Picardy - which is why it's fitting for the nation to return with Normandy and Picardy hosting, 10 points from Arioslavia, and 8 points from Kalosia among other great scores from nations. KVC, the Nightomese official broadcaster, were elated with these results and therefore entered The Cross Border Battle I, but was ultimately knocked out during the qualifying stages and never returned after that.

But, commemorating 20 editions since Nightom's debut and 10 editions since the nation's momentous victory, Jaxel Wykeham will fly the flag valiantly for the nation, hoping to score it another top 10 placing. Jaxel will be sending the song, "Hold Your Head Up High" which is a song about how people nowadays are very spoilt, and use words to over exaggerate how they are feeling, when there are people out there who are going through much more difficult problems.

"I am ready to wave the flag for my country, I am ready to serve under Nightom!"

-Jaxel Wykeham

Jaxel is a 26 year old male, from the capital of Nightom, Knightinghamshire. He describes himself as "proudly Nightomese", which is obviously something they are taught to say when they go to school. Jaxel has loved music since he was in secondary school, where his passion for the subject was unleashed by one of the music teachers he still remembers to this day. He is said to like rock music, a bit of EDM, but his likes for genres are not..specific, which can be seen through the type of music he produces.

ENTRY DETAILS
Below, you can find all of the main details about the entry...

Duration: 3m35s
Main Vocalist: Jaxel Wykeham
Lyricists: Silver Kjornborn, Vincenti Xaveborn
Composers: Enwritin Smegborn, Nirentina Chubyorn, Naqeemi Salhelm

Jaxel stood in the middle off the stage, with one of those DJ desks. The staging at the time was really dark, with a green spotlight focusing on Jaxel, with small green flickers of graphics on the screen, making Jaxel seem a bit distorted as the camera slowly zoomed in towards him. He was looking down at the desk before raising his head and singing calm and rather seductively in to the microphone.

Have you ever thought what would happen if you jumped?
Closed your eyes and jumped, weightless like a feather.
I suppose that thought might have crossed your mind just once,
When you have had enough of all life's dramas.

He pointed at the camera right at the last word, slightly tilting his finger of as though he was mimicking a gun going off. As soon as he did that, the camera quickly zoomed out and faded to black. Leading to the first pre-chorus of the song, reds started to appear in the staging with a psychedelic display being shown on the screens behind him. He looked down at his DJ desk, slowly rocking along to the music, which was developing.

Whilst you indulge in your self pitying,
There are real people with real problems, they're suffering.
You tell me you're done, that life for you is over
He did dump you, just after three months
You've got to get your head out of the sand.

The camera, during that pre-chorus was far away, and so for the viewers at home, they were able to see the psychedelic image being shown behind him, and the audience jumping along to the song. The shots then cut from the left, to the right, to centre during the last line before everything went dark. He then sang the line, "Turn your back and hold your head up high" with the normal lights quickly focusing on him. The camera quickly zoomed in.

Turn your back and hold your head up high.
Turn your back and hold your head up high.
Hold your head up high.

Jaxel then got off the desk he was on, and started walking around the stage, looking in to the steadicam which followed right in front of him. He looked deep in to the camera as he sang them some real lyrics. As Jaxel sang lines like "a knife" he would re-enact these words. In the example given, we brushed his hand across his neck before cruelly smiling at the people at home.

Have you picked up a knife - thought how sharp it's blades were,
Imagined the damage that object could do?
What you've experienced is how life goes 'round,
It's painful, so slowdown. It is not the end.

He walked over to the middle of the stage, with the steadicam still following him before slowly moving away from the man. He remained where he was, looking out in to the large audience.

Whilst you indulge in your self pitying,
There are real people with real problems, they're suffering.
You tell me you're done, that life for you is over
He did dump you, just after three months
You've got to get your head... out of the sand,
Hold your head up.
Hold your head up, keep your ears open.

As the song in the back went a bit crazy and EDM, the lights flashed on and off along with the song. He stayed in the middle.

You know that I'll always be here,
And standing right by your side.
No matter how hard life gets for you, turn around, you'll find me there,
With a shoulder to cry on!

Oh I am trying to let yourself know,
There are people in this world that
Are really struggling...

During the last line of that pre-chorus, Jaxel strong turned around and raised his hands up towards him. The camera quickly zoomed out, before the explosive chorus. When he sang the first line, there was no light on his face, but there were strong intensity, very bright lights which swiftly turned on during the first line of the chorus. With the camera at a low angle, just in front of him, he looked godly as he raised his hands high in to the heavens.

Turn your back and hold your head up high.
Turn your back and hold your head up high.
Turn your back and hold your head up high.
Turn your back and hold your head up high.
Turn your back and hold your head up high.
Turn your back and hold your head up high.

Ah oh Ah oh Ah oh (x150)

At this part, water was let off from the top of the stage. The water did not fall as though it was a light drizzle, but more like a hurricane. As it fell, he furiously shook his head/hair forwards and backwards, with the camera enjoying the sight from far away and close up, crazily swooping past him (a la Cyprus 2016 - during the chorus) The screens behind him were all off, with the light coming from in front of above him focusing on him furiously jiggling about in the downpour. He also jumped up

Turn your back and hold your head up high.
Turn your back and hold your head up high.
Turn your back and hold your head up high. (ohs)
Turn your back and hold your head up high. (Ohs)

Turn your back and hold your head up high.

He said the last line and fell in to the puddle beneath him. The Normand crowd all applauded after Jaxel which made him smile with glee, as he got up, he thanked everyone, "Merci, thank you very much for the chance."

Entry No.16: PROLUVIA
Take the Throne
Asuka Complex

Based on: I Bring The Darkness (End Of Days) by Jim Johnston feat. Tommy Vext

A relatively new face to the Nova Truare music scene, the metal band Asuka Complex formed in late 2016. Bonding over a love of professional wrestling and hard rock, the group, fronted by 27-year-old Emil Lazuma Saldana have been largely under the radar, which makes their selection by PROuno all the more intriguing. Whether this gamble will pay off remains to be seen, but the audience reaction has been mostly positive, especially among the younger demographic that are more likely to watch the WorldVision.
Image
Asuka Complex, with frontman Emil third from left

As the song begins, the stage is dark, save for spotlights pointing on the singer-guitarist, Emil. His head is bowed, and is clutching a white Flying-V style guitar. Surrounding the stage are the other band members, the drummer at the back, bass guitarist on the left, keyboardist on the right. All are wearing casual, loose fitting clothes as expected from a hard rock band: baggy, dark jeans, faded band T-shirts and rough leather boots. Emil also has a black sleeveless leather jacket, leather fingerless gloves, and is standing on a large wooden platform, roughly four metres high, with an open front, where we can see support poles threaded through it to give it structure and take his weight, and add a couple of surprises to the performance.

As the drums kick in, the spotlights flash in time to the guitar chords. The LED screens show a fiery backdrop.

Back from the dead and I
Will take back what is mine

The camera is focused on Emil, who raises his head to show that he has bright white contact lenses put in. He grits his teeth as he sings. As the chorus is underway, the LED display shows Greek columns rising through the ground, in the fire. A white light bathes the stage.

I am the champion, pulling you under
Fall on your sword because your days are numbered
Drop to your knees, as I rise to my throne
This future is my own

The rest of the band provide the backing vocals after the chorus is over. On the screens, the Greek columns have been replaced by a marble throne, disintegrating into dust.

(Take! Take! Take! Take the throne!)
This future is my own

As the second verse begins, smoke begins to pour out from underneath the platform Emil is standing on. The spotlights from the intro section return to the rhythm of the guitar chugging as the verse gets underway.

Thrown to the ground, and still stronger I rise
My infinite power you'll soon realise
Your weak constitution's the source of my ire
Get out of my way or sleep now in the fire

At this point, the smoke has enveloped the stage. As the second chorus continues, the LED displays show lightning strikes in addition to the current scene. The flashes of lightning are also represented by a screen filter on the camera brightening when the strikes occur.

I am the champion, pulling you under
Fall on your sword because your days are numbered
Drop to your knees, as I rise to my throne
This future is my own

As the chorus finishes, the band joins with backing vocals again, with the lights flashing a bright white on each word.

(Take! Take! Take! Take the throne!)

The lights on Emil turn to a bright red, illuminating the smoke around him. The lightning from the chorus has stopped, along with its effects.

Someday, friend, you will learn
That you were right to fear
Soon your legacy will burn
No happy endings here

Emil gets down on one knee as the camera closes in on him for the bridge. As this is occurring, the smoke surrounding the stage gradually dissipates.

If you're so eager, to stay the leader
You will catch these hands
If you're a smart man, secede to my plans
Give in to my demands

(Take! Take! Take! Take the throne!)

During the band shout before the final chorus, Emil stands, raising his fist in time to each 'take'. Upon the final raising of the fist, the platform he is standing on begins to set on fire. Emil continues, unfazed from the heated danger, although perhaps regretting his choice of wearing an extra layer of leather. His eyes are focused directly on the camera in front of him.

I am the champion, pulling you under
Fall on your sword because your days are numbered
Drop to your knees, as I rise to my throne
This future is my own

The platform continues to burn. However, the fire is safely controlled, and the internal design of the top of the platform allows the flames to surround the platform, but not invade it, giving the appearance of Emil being trapped in a ring of fire. The intensity is increased with white strobe lights flashing to the rhythm. The LED screens now feature a larger ebony throne being forced up through the ground, to take the place of the destroyed one.

(Take! Take! Take! Take the throne!)
This future is my own
This future is my own
(Take! Take! Take! Take the throne!)
This future is my own
(Take! Take! Take! Take the throne!)

As the song ends, with the fire at maximum intensity, Emil finishes the final notes of the song, then drops his guitar on the floor, allowing it to be consumed by the flame, with his free hand raised. He is motionless, despite the audience cheering. He will not move until the camera has switched to the postcard of the next entrant, at which point the flames will be extinguished.

Party at WorldVision! — Simone Gallas
performed in English to the tune of Gigi in Paradisco — Dalida (Eleni Foureira cover)

Simone Gallas is legendary. One of Kalosia's biggest stars of all time, the diva rose to fame in the disco era of the 70s. In 1978 she released Ǧiǧi u Paradisku, which went on to become her signature song. Although critics had initially said that her voice had not yet matured enough to carry such a song, Ǧiǧi u Paradisku (alternatively spelled Gjigji u Paradisku) went down in history as one of the most popular Kalosian songs of all time, selling millions of copies and staying on top of the charts for weeks.

A couple of decades later and we arrive to the modern day. The diva has gone down in history as Kalosia's most famed singer, and although her golden days are long gone, she remains an influential voice in the showbiz industry. To celebrate 40 years of Ǧiǧi u Paradisku, she is releasing a remastered version of it, which will go in a new Best Of album. Even then, she continues to make new music, and is also working on an entirely new album.

After getting in talks with Radiu-Televižju Kalosia, it was announced that she was going to represent her beloved home country at the 65th WorldVision Song Contest in Rouen, Normandy & Picardy. Her entry is called Party at WorldVision! and is a party anthem dedicated to the show that we all love and adore today. According to Simone, the song was originally planned to be the lead single of her new album under a different set of lyrics and a distinct title that is yet to be announced. While that persists, she will also include this version in her new album. Party at WorldVision! is in the same style of music as Ǧiǧi u Paradisku with a modern touch, but are ICly two entirely different songs. Simone hopes that the song will be played in WV parties and clubs for years to come.

WorldVision is a song contest and it's all about the music — the host country seems to understand this as they have provided a live orchestra. Thus, a conductor has been sent to Rouen as a member of the Kalosian delegation, his name is Mateu Karloti and will lead the orchestra, although for this song it is mostly the horn and/or brass sections which are needed.

It is now time for Kalosia to perform. Everything is dark. The song begins with a synthetic-sounding voice singing the first line below in brackets (brackets denotes backing singers), and at the same time two spotlights shine on what appears to be a large disco ball in the center of the stage (see the tune link). It shines brightly, nearly blinding some members of the audience. But it is a sign of how heavenly the performance they are about to see is.
(Party at WorldVision)

As the music begins, the lights (and some of the strobe lights) kick in, and the disco ball thing turns 180°, revealing Simone Gallas, posing, and wearing the suit equivalent to a disco ball (same thing being worn by Eleni in the tune link). You can also see some backing dancers around the contraption wearing colourful, equally flamboyant outfits, but the backing singers are nowhere to be seen, at least not on camera. The crowd goes wild.
Party at WorldVision!

Simone gets up, standing on the disco ball platform.
Party at WorldVision!

Right before the next part, the brass section produces sound 4 times to the beat, which are accompanied by 4 camera angle changes. In the next part, Simone remains on it. It almost feels like witnessing the Birth of Venus painting live.
Come here
A place where there is nothing to fear
Leave all your troubles, make your thoughts clear
We’ll celebrate while in the atmosphere
So will you join the party?

Simone slowly gets down and off the disco ball, helped by her backing dancers.
Come now
Be the shining star among the crowd
A place where you can stand and feel proud
And everything you want is allowed
So will you join me in the

This is where it intensifies. Simone and her dancers do more intense movements. In some shots you can tell that the audience is going wild and jumping along to the rhythm. The strobe lights also intensify.
Party at WorldVision!
Party at WorldVision!

After the movements continue to intensify, suddenly the beat pauses. Simone and her dancers strike a pose. The music then continues and everyone on stage continues to dance, lively than ever.
Party at WorldVision!
Party at WorldVision!

The dance break eventually comes to an end, but the tension remains high. The backing dancers continue to do low-intensity choreography. Simone walks around the stage for a bit but ultimately returns to where she was before.
Come here
A place where there is nothing to fear
Leave all your troubles, make your thoughts clear
We’ll celebrate while in the atmosphere
So will you join the party?

Come now
Be the shining star among the crowd

Now Simone and the dancers do some highly intense dance moves.
Party at WorldVision!
Party at WorldVision!

Another few quick camera angle switches to the beat, and afterwards Simone and the dancers march to the front of the stage, seemingly triumphant. When they reach the end, they continue to do dance moves.
Party at WorldVision!
Party at WorldVision!

The stage lights dim, with only Simone being fully visible. Everyone does slower moves during this bridge.
Dancing with all of the stars up in the sky (Party at WorldVision)
You start to show who you are, truly divine (Party at WorldVision)

As the song begins to intensify, so do the stage lights but not the dance moves. Simone takes off her jacket, although the outfit beneath is equally glimmering.
O-o-oh o-oh
Singing songs from long ago
You find beauty everywhere
The music is there
With love
(So will you join me?)

Cue more dancing.
Party at WorldVision!

The dancers help Simone back up the disco ball thing.
Party at WorldVision!

As the song ends, Simone and her dancers strike up one final pose.
(Party at WorldVision)

The crowd goes wild. Amidst the cheers, Simone still tries to thank the audience. "Thank you Rouen! Gražia!" she says. She spreads air kisses to the audience before leaving as the stage is prepared for the next entrant.

18. Lactatia
Latisha Van Titteh - Suck Some Dick
Language: Lactatian*
*Note: Lactatian is the same as English, except the phrase "Dick me up" is translated as "Dick me down" in English

Latisha was on stage after the Lactatian postcard was shown, resulting in a series of whistling and camaraderie from the crowd. The spotlight illuminated her just before the music began to play, and she had on a sleek black leather dress with holes cut out at the chest, revealing her breasts. Fortunately though, she wore black tassels on her nipples, hiding them from the public. Sanctions against Lactatia had been imposed by the Worldvision Committee due to public nudity exemplified by previous contestants, and the Lactatian broadcaster wanted to be sure that they did not violate any of the rules in this performance. Suddenly, the instrumentation began to play, and lights in the background flickered to the tune of the beat. The stage illuminated some more, revealing that Latisha was standing on a pedestal.

I can smell you when you're near
You need to wash yo'self more.

You got that fishy dick
But I'll be your net.

The crowd began to clap along to the beat. Latisha, who seemed slightly surprised by this, flashed a smile and continued to sing.

Every night I feel you in my
Warm coochie.

Mister daddy of my dreams
Let's wrap this up now.

Latisha spread her arms out wide and sang, slightly out of tune.

Mama knows that I
I would rather die
Then not to get laid.

Once I taste your peen
And swallow your cream
My day will be made.

The lights illuminated the stage, revealing 5 phallic-shaped pedestals that resembled a male penis sprouting from the ground at a 45-degree angle. 4 of them were empty, however, and Latisha remained standing on the 5th one, located in the center.

I'll suck your dick
I'll give it another lick

I'll suck your dick
You'll finish in a minute.

With this next part, Latisha acted if though she was giving a handjob to an invisible penis near her mouth as she sang.

I'll never sto-o-o-o-op
Daddy dick me up
To the to-o-op.

And I'll never sto-o-o-o-op
Daddy dick me up
To the to-o-op.

The stage remained illuminated and now, 8 dancers appeared on the stage - 4 male and 4 female, who seemed to be furiously groping each other as they stumbled onto the stage. As the song progressed, they made their way (in pairs) to their respective pedestals.

If you cannot get it up
Let me try and help you out.

If you have an accident
Let me lick it all up now...

The dancers had all made their way to the stage and mimicked Latisha's dancing. Latisha just punched the air in no particular direction and sang.

Mama knows that I
I would rather die
Then not to get laid.

Once I taste your peen
And swallow your cream
My day will be made.

Latisha and the dancers all faced forward and held their hands out wide as they sang the chorus.

I'll suck your dick
I'll give it another lick

I'll suck your dick
You'll finish in a minute.

Latisha and the dancers repeated the same dance as before, acting if though they was giving a handjob to an invisible penis near their mouths as they sang.

I'll never sto-o-o-o-op
Daddy dick me up
To the to-o-op.

And I'll never sto-o-o-o-op
Daddy dick me up
To the to-o-op.

Ths dancers all ripped off their clothes, and all of them were wearing black leather thongs and bras. They continued rubbing against one another as Latisha sang by herself.

I'll suck your dick
I'll give it another lick

I'll suck your dick
You'll finish in a minute.

I'll never sto-o-o-o-op
Daddy dick me up
To the to-o-op.

And I'll never sto-o-o-o-op
Daddy dick me up
To the to-o-op.

I'll suck your dick

Latisha had pulled out a very realistic dildo and held it near her mouth, posing with it as she sang the last note.

"Thank ya!" She yelled, waving, before leaving the stage. The dancers, meanwhile, continued to fondle one another and had to be ushered off stage.

BITC Presents: 65th WorldVision Song Contest

Postby Britonisea » Wed May 30, 2018 10:41 am

BITC Presents;
Live Coverage of the 65th Edition of the WorldVision Song Contest in Rouen, Normandy & Picardy.
Your commentators for the evening are Zeke Lemondey, who tried to represent Britonisea twice, participating in Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2016 and 2018 alongside Rigas Jengiz who participated in Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2016 and 2017, and came 2nd representing Britonisea at the 51st WorldVision Song Contest.
Broadcast started 19:55 GMT.

Rigas Jengiz: Hello, and welcome to BITC's broadcast of the 65th WorldVision Song Contest. I am Rigas Jengiz...
Zeke Lemondey: And I am Zeke Lemondey, and we are coming to you live from Normandy and Picardy, the third Normand city to host the WorldVision Song Contest.
Rigas: I am genuinely excited for the competition today, there will be more nations participating, especially since a few of them did not receive placings they wanted.
Zeke: Yeah, everybody is on the warpath this edition. Though, I am not sure Britonisea is actually on the same page as everyone else.
Rigas: I don't think so. For the third time, Britonisea has retained a top three placing - and also gained it's second win in a row.
Zeke: Now that, ladies and gentlemen, hasn't been done for over 30 editions - so it probably shocked the wider community.
Rigas: I always thought we had it in us though.
Zeke: Me too. But anyway, now that Vha Mehlodhivestoile is over, and the hype surrounding Britonisea is too, I think we might sink lower to our usual position of, maybe, 5th to 10th?
Rigas: Well, I don't know. We are sending a credible entry by the very wonderful Sadegh Prazeres, and if his brother is a judge of how we might do - I guess you're right.
Zeke: BITC is now on autopilot, hopefully everything will go smoothly for the nation. I know people are expecting big things, and I am sure BITC will deliver.
Rigas: Right, I think we ought to get started on tonight's proceedings!
Zeke: Let's do this!

00. Opening Sequence

Zeke: Well it's darn nice that they decided to have an orchestra. I'm not sure whether that was money well spent, because I am not sure many delegations will be sending orchestra pieces to this contest. Nevertheless it s a nice touch.
Rigas: I also enjoyed seeing Sadegh Prazeres coming out there, with his Britonish flag wrapped around him.
Zeke: The fandom of the WorldVision Song Contest just be getting tired of seeing our flag waving about, though.
Rigas: I know, I know. Still, we received a rather good applause from the sometimes hard-to-please Normand crowd.
Zeke: Oh, they were just being nice.

00. Opening Act

Rigas: I am not sure where Normandy and Picardy, and other nations for that matter, get the misconceptions of Britonisea's lust for men...
Zeke: I know, right? Britonisea is home to many great females - including yourself, Rigas! When speaking about WorldVision, Britonisea's females have done amazingly at every single edition - we're made to seem like scoptophilic animals or something.
Rigas: Okay, I would say that's taking it a bit far, Zeke...But yeah, other than that, it's a pretty happy and fun Opening Act.
Zeke: And Anais is a darling, ain't she?
Rigas: Stop it! She's probably like...double your age!
Zeke: I like me a cougar sometimes.
Rigas: And there's me thinking women weren't your type. I think it's time for some music - wouldn't you agree? First up it's- oh God!
Zeke: Never a great idea to put Missus X first, but here they are.
Rigas: Also - one more thing I forgot to mention! This edition, we are scrapping telephone votes and texting, and instead we urge you to download the BITC WorldVision App or just vote online at http://www.bitc.ru/worldvision/vote. You get 3 free votes on the website, and 5 on the app but after that, votes cost 15p.
Zeke: Lucky you mentioned that, because I totally forgot. Its song number 1, Missus X.

01. Missus X

Zeke: That is a highly inappropriate entry, and that should be flagged by someone. Normandy and Picardy must be really lenient on this television company for letting them enter this filth!
Rigas: I rather liked it, actually.
Zeke: Utter di- wait, what?
Rigas: You know what, I just feel so sorry for this poor bloke from Missus X. He always tries, and sure, his entries are subpar and sometimes erotic, but...you know...cut him some slack!
Zeke: Do you remember participating with him back in WV51?
Rigas: I do. I don't think he likes Britonisea, though. I never spoke to him. He's still come to every WorldVision hosted by us though. Strange.
Zeke: Well, that's interesting. Its...oh...hello, Jesus. Its...er...Foen...
Rigas: Phoenigetuzstha, darling. They're returning after over 40 editions!

02. Phoenigetuzstha

Rigas: I am not too sure about this one, but looking at the nation's track record - this is bound to place in the top ten - am I right or am I right?
Zeke: It's an alright entry. Its quite a different...song. I mean, it's not everyday you hear reggae infused with...pop...with...blah blah.
Rigas: It isn't, but that's what makes this song stand out, or rather, that's what going to make the song stand out from the rest.
Zeke: My personal favourite bit was the "badabadbadabadaaa" bit.
Rigas: Yes, I liked that bit too.
Zeke: Polkopia is up next, brace yourselves.

03. Polkopia

Zeke: Looking at my notes, it looks like their broadcaster - who we know is a bit dodgy from previous experience - considered withdrawing from the contest.
Rigas: Why is that?
Zeke: Because they came tenth with that wonderful song. I mean, Britonisea gave it 12 points...
Rigas: Their song was nice last edition. If they didn't like the result of that song, why pick another entry that literally sounds similar to it...well, it has the same...feel about it.
Zeke: I don't know their ways, but I really like this entry from Polkopia.
Rigas: I'm lapping it up.
Zeke: Right, up next is Nusalia.

04. Nusalia

05. Vartugia

Nations

08. Izmedu

Rigas: They are really going out for the win, aren't they? I mean - this is a very good entry from Izmedu.
Zeke: I have to say, all of the song is fine - except for the chorus. I think it just falls a bit flat.
Rigas: I guess; the chorus could have been more explosive, but overall the song is very strong.
Zeke: I can't disagree with you there.
Rigas: Okay, that's the end of that song, and we now move on to another favourite - Darkmania.

09. Darkmania

Zeke: Well, the song is very good - I liked it a lot. Though, I am not sure that the language used was that appropriate for a song like this.
Rigas: I understand - it's like having a reggaeton song in French - it doesn't quite connect.
Zeke: I think this performance is a bit....oh what's the word...?
Rigas: Isolating. I'm not sure about Darkmania's chances, bit I think they'll land - along with Izmedu in the top 10.
Zeke: I would say top 15 - this could flop big time. Anyway, we now move on to a very small nation.

10. Llata

Rigas: So, this song is certainly something - isn't it?
Zeke: I don't really like this type of song - it's something you would hear back in 2009 or something.
Rigas: It's good - especially for a nation that is of their size. Not my cup of tea either.
Rigas: Eh, well they can only get better from here on in - am I right or am I wrong?
Zeke: You're correct. Its now song 11 from The Datsche Republic.

11. The Datsche Republic

Zeke: Well, this was a chill song, I don't really know what else to say other than...it was pretty chill.
Rigas: I liked it, it had a cute charm behind it - yeah, it was alright.
Zeke: The lyrics are a bit odd, but I get over them.
Rigas: I didn't like that sudden stop part in the song, I thought that was the end, only to be delighted by more singing. Haha. Anyway, that's song 11.
Zeke: Now time for song 12. Returning is Sychre.

12. Syrche

Zeke: I personally like this entry, I really do - it sounds nice, and I really do like the saxophone that's in the back - at least I think that it was a saxophone.
Rigas: I think this a cool entry from Sychre, I will have to agree with you - Zeke.
Zeke: I do think the staging department could have been developed a tiny bit more, but other than that, I liked this entry.
Rigas: I concur, the staging didn't really give me any...good shivers. Especially compared to the entries we just had.

13. Besen

Rigas: I am not sure about this entry, I think it drags on a bit - I don't think that it reaches its precipice.
Zeke: I mean, I personally like the song a lot - I think that it's a good song for empowerment. I see where you are coming from though.
Rigas: Unsure as to whether this would be in the top 5, but it should carry on their trend of going up since their debut - in terms of final ranking.
Zeke: Yeah - I agree. This entry isn't that bad, but...hmmm

14. Lochario

Rigas: I really like this song - it's really cool, and I love the vibe that this song gives off.
Zeke: Yeah, I concur with that. However, absolutely nothing is happening on stage apart from a man singing in the middle of the stage.
Rigas: I guess that's the downfall. I don't think all countries rank on that merit, but I know Britonisea does.
Zeke: The staging ultimately has let this entry down.
Rigas: And this song is too bloody long, I couldn't cope listening to the whole thing!
Zeke: I like a good snappy song. Next up is Nightom!
Rigas: Looking forward to the Nightomese entry! Let's do this honey!

15. Nightom

Zeke: So, the neighbours of Kalmarlund and Britonisea - hm, this is the entry they are sending to the contest.
Rigas: I thought this was a fine entry, but of course, not as good as their winning entry ten editions ago.
Zeke: It seems like their win was so long ago! WorldVision 55!
Rigas: I liked it - Nightom could be scoring their second top 5 this edition!
Zeke: Proluvia next!

16. Proluvia

Nations

17. Kalosia

Rigas: This is just a bit of fun isn't it - it's a bit camp, and dancey. I like this entry from Kalosia.
Zeke: Me too, I must say that this entry is definitely one of my favourites from their nation. I think sometimes, Kalosia doesn't really stand out from the pack - and just gets points...and does well.
Rigas: Yeah. They come top 3 here and there, but I haven't liked an entry from them...and then fell in love.
Zeke: Britonisea seems to love Kalosia though, being second in the amount of points given from Britonisea. 102 - right behind Izmedu who is first with 103 points. That could be increased this edition. We will see.
Rigas: We will indeed.

18. Lactatia

Zeke: Okay, I know that this song is a bit risqué - but if I compared it to the Missus X song, this is a tiny bit better, wouldn't you say?
Rigas: Oh my lord, 100% this is much better - this is good, and the staging for this entry is top notch. This is a bit of banter. I do think a tad inappropriate...
Zeke: But we're not prudish people - are we?
Rigas: Yeah - the instrumental for this song is amazing. Right, it's Saviera.
Zeke: Apparently, they've sent a good entry? Hugh, let's listen!

19. Saviera

Zeke: I am not sure about the people at home, but I found that entry...very...b-
Rigas: Very what? What did you think of it?
Zeke: I was about to say it. It was b-
Rigas: Spit it out then, come on!
Zeke: Boring. I found this really boring actually - I'm sorry, but it was sleepy.
Rigas: Nah, this was beautiful! I liked this entry, and it's much better than the crap they usually send.
Zeke: I'm sorry, it was so boring, Rigas.
Rigas: Difference of opinion there.
Zeke: Up next is Mister X.

20. Mister X

Zeke: I liked this entry...right up until the chorus, and similarly to Izmedu's entry, I think that it just fell flat - I didn't like it.
Rigas: You don't like the whole song or just the chorus?
Zeke: Oh, just the chorus. I like the first verse a lot, it really draws me in. However, I think the second verse is...ugh.
Rigas: I mean, it's a good entry coming from Mister X, I think they should be happy with what they produced here. They played it right here.
Zeke: Yeah - no.

21. Normandy and Picardy

Nations

22. Antahbrantahstan

Rigas: I really like this entry, it's very sexy - I think this is just the type of entry that Antahbrantahstan should be sending.
Zeke: I think that this nation is severely underrated and ignored; I mean, their entry last edition came 22nd, didn't it? Which just missed last place!? How is that justice?
Rigas: That's not justice whatsoever!
Zeke: I really hope this entry delivers! It really deserves to get a high placing!
Rigas: Next up is Togonistan.

23. Togonistan

Zeke: This has the same problem as Mister X. I think the verse is great, but then...the chorus just let's it down.
Rigas: Yeah, this is not my cup of tea from Togonistan - unfortunately.
Zeke: I really did think that this song has potential, but Togonistan might find it difficult to get in to the top ten!
Rigas: I don't like this entry, but I think that they might scrape it in.
Zeke: New nation coming up.

24. Kassegrochia

Zeke: I think we have found our winner. That is a bold statement that I am making, but this song is the best one that we have heard so far, and with six songs left, I don't think anything will beat this!
Rigas: I know, this is an amazing song. Eventhough we have our own song, I think that this entry is fantastic.
Zeke: I am really looking forward to the voting, so many great entries - so many bad choruses. Thing with this entry I like...not a bad chorus in sight!
Rigas: Very good for a debut! Next up is Ardoki.

25. Ardoki

Rigas: Yeah, this is not my type of song.
Zeke: Me neither, and I personally am not a fan of propaganda songs like this one.
Rigas: I agree...Ah, welcome back Ardoki; but you will be struggling to stay clear of ending up in the 20s.
Zeke: I didn't mind the song itself, just everything about the whole entry was...bad.
Rigas: Yeah...well it's Britonisea next - it's us! Its us!
Zeke: I'm so excited, it's Sadegh Prazeres! Make Our History!

26. Britonisea

Zeke: That was certainly a fiery performance from the Britonish Delegation; don't you think?
Rigas: It was alright, but I am unsure how this will rank amongst the entries that we have tonight.
Zeke: I heard this song didn't impress the fandom.
Rigas: No, it didn't. I am a bit worried for Sadegh Prazeres, but we will see how he does in the end. Hopefully top ten?
Zeke: I doubt it. Maybe 11 to 19. Not sure how BITC will take that.

27. Tödlichebujoku

Rigas: I liked this entry from Todlichebujoku - but come on...out of all places...TALVEZOUT?
Zeke: Bitch, come to Britonisea and only then can you tell us a good story.
Rigas: Too right *high five*
Zeke: In all seriousness, I liked this entry from Todlichebujoku.
Rigas: They should do themselves proud here. Then again, we will see.
Zeke: Agh, I'm looking forward to the VOTING!

28. Merecendi-

Zeke: I like this entry, it's great fun!
Rigas: You are Mr Indecisive, you know.
Zeke: What do you mean?
Rigas: It's just...you never know what you want in life.
Zeke: Right, next up is...Ethane.

29. Ethane

30. Mercedini

The 65th Worldvision Song Contest in Rouen, Normandy and Picardy.

Good evening, Besen. I am back once again to commentate on this edition's line up of wonderful songs and performers. This is only the second time commentating on the contest, but I feel right at home once again. BC1 were kind enough to let me keep this gig, after BSS was shut down, and I am so thankful for that. I've again explored our host city, and discovered it's many curiosities. I found it to be intriguing and rather brilliant. I'm beginning to think it's a good thing we lost that host bid, haha. This is looking to be a remarkable Worldvision. Here is our opening act tonight.

The Opening Act
This is super amusing, and doesn't take itself seriously- I love it. Kicks things off for us just right.

01 • Missus X Rick Leg - Suck You Off
I mean, you say can say joke act, but this is just hurrendous. I doubt this will do well, at all tonight. Congratulations to Rick Leg for making it here- but no, this is too explicit for me.

02 • Phoenigetuzstha Laodice Surena - Šorfem Iddeyyem (Burning Bridges)
Yes, yes, yes. Complex but yet simple. I like the detail that has gone into this, and this song is uncomfortably intriguing. The mix of genres invites a special interest within me.

03 • Polkopia Ramhun - Monster
A sweet song indeed- but the question is, with this one, will it move you enough to vote for it? It's certainly going to pull in some votes tonight, I am sure.

04 • Nusalia Hanin Serna - Greenleaves in Winter

05 • Vartugia Generic Guitar Player, who can`t sing- Gonna send a memesong
Better than Missus X. That's all I have to say.

06 • Adab

07 • Nekoni

08 • Izmedu Dijana Jurina - Zaključan

09 • Darkmania Därnaria- Let`s Dance
This song has actually made me get up and dance, haha. It does a good job with what it is, and I appreciate it because of that. I may even place a vote for it- I trust this will end in the Top 10.

10 • Llata Niamh Callaghan ft. Patricia - Just Be You!
Unfortunately, this song just feels a little claustrophobic for me. Too much going on, not enough "wow." It will probably not end up in the bottom five though.

11 • The Datsche Republic Little Johnny - Poutine
Not my type of music, but it will have it's fans. The unfortunate side is that I am pretty certain this won't touch the top 10. Good job from this debutant though.

12 • Syrche NILSEN - In Vain

Allyrijth Nasjonalbrinthárr 1 broadcasting live from the 65th Worldvision Song Contest: Rouen, Normandy and Picardy.
Brought to you by Allyria's #1 Allyrian and English language broadcaster
Commentated by Allyrian media personality Élin Maravirr
Image

Tilshaithnar Allyrije and good morning, evening or night to the rest of the world. I am the host of Allyria's most prominent chat show and I hope I can do a good enough job of chatting over tonight's show; it is in my job description after all. I'd also like to apologise for any mishaps by myself and our team from AN1 here tonight as we've spent most of the day here in serene Rouen sampling the finest drinking establishments this place has to offer; we're truly the pinnacle of class and broadcasting integrity here at AN1. This is the first Worldvision brought to you by an Allyrian Broadcasting company and we're proud to be able to say tonight's broadcast will be ad-free. Of course, with the show being as long as it is I imagine I'll feel the lightness in my pocket at the end of tonight's broadcast and the drinks I mentioned previously didn't pay for themselves. With this being our first broadcast, very few know what to expect, however, if all goes well and provided the many rumours are true, Allyria may be sending an act to the next Worldvision song contest. With any luck, it won't be any of the headache-inducing instruments or throat singing which usually accompanies many traditional Allyrian songs. It appears as though the opening ceremony is almost underway. I suppose it's about time I shut up and let you enjoy!

The opening act:
For those of you in Normandy and Picardy I have good news and bad news. The good news is I believe your nation has struck oil. However, the bad news is that it appears most of it has been used on your dancers. In all seriousness, it was a wonderful and warmhearted opening ceremony and what appears to be the start of a good show, better than the usual crap on Allyrian TV at any rate. I'm also obliged to remind viewers in Allyria that they ought not to vote as any votes from Allyria will not be counted due to our non-participation. Regardless, here's song number one from the nation of Missus X (someone exclaiming as to where it's located in Allyrian can be heard in the background) titled "suck you off" and I'm hoping I didn't read that correctly.

1 Missus X - Suck you off | Rick Leg:
(Laughing from the rest of the team can be heard while Maravirr only partially keeps herself together) I must admit, that was far more than I expected from them. I can't say I've ever heard a parody song which sounds better than an original but I believe we've just found one. Missus X have never placed above 10th in the song contest however with good humour like that I don't believe I understand why that is so. However, unfortunately for Mr Leg we here at AN1 will have to decline his offer however, his generosity is always appreciated. Coming up next is Pho... (whispers are heard with Maravirr practising its pronunciation multiple times) Phoenigetuzstha with the song Burning Bridges! I think they'd be more careful with them if they understood how much they cost.

2 Phoenigetuzstha - Laodice Surena | Šorfem Iddeyyem:
Laodice was on fire! As was her choreography. The pun was intentional. However, her outfit, and those of the backing vocalists, were beautiful and it seems as though they've decided to put on quite the show for their first time in the contest in over 40 editions. I just hope her early position in the contest doesn't affect her final placing for surely that elegance deserves to be rewarded. However, we have the nation of Polkopia next and I must warn you in advance to cover your eyes if you spook easily. Their song is by Ramhun and is titled "Monster"

3 Polkopia - Ramhun | Monster:
After the 2nd and 3rd performances I'm detecting somewhat of a gold theme from tonight's show. As impressive as it is I'd hate to see the cost of it all. Ramhun's performance was powerful and emotive and his charisma was definitely there. With any luck, he won't perform too monstrously on the results table. Next up is Nusalia with the song Greenleaves in winter by Hanin Serna.

4 Nusalia - Hanin Serna | Greenleaves in Winter:

5 Vartugia - KZXJSDFTUGRDSYRTYUITUGDLHUIOUESYUFGHIRGDFTRTYHUJUHIGETUHLIL | Love Yourself:

6 Adab - TBC | TBC:

7 Nekoni - TBC | TBC:

8 Izmedu - Dijana Jurina | Zaključan:

9 Darkmania - Därnaria | Let's Dance:

10 Llalta - Niamh Callaghan ft. Patricia | Just Be You!:

11 The Datsche Republic - Little Johnny | Poutine:

12 Syrche - NILSEN | In Vain:

13 Besen - Celine | We Are The Fighters:

14 Lochario - Toni Refar | Skul Mälichne (School Girl):
