ARRIVAL

The gangway was positioned next to the ship, and the small welcome committee took shape around lôilar shàn, it was the first official visit from a foreign country after decades of isolationism, and an important opportunity to recover from the previous administration disastrous foreign policies. lôilar put the best smile on his face as he checked everybody was present and ready. lying well was a respected value in the sâh'li civil service, the truth was he felt like a taxi driver. nevertheless he respected the new prime minister, and most of all he respected the prime minister's choice to keep him in place after shêilethan uèide resigned, and wasn't eager to discuss any order given by him... yet.

As always, the west coast of the main island, sahlìa, was still very cold. the sun shined above the water, but the cold winds from the north were still present.
A group of young people waited aside lôilar, and some reporters were positioned just behind a line of policemen, waiting for a good opportunity to get closer.

Erich Krenz had never even left his country, and all these modern technology was as alien to him as the starship enterprise would be to a cavemen.
But he was confident, after all, his nation had overcome a lot of hardship, he thinks as he is followed by 4 officials, and 3 body guards, all dressed in zhongshan suits.
He also brought his younger brother Boris, a younger, less muscular young man, age 17, who looks like he has landed on another planet as he blushes a bit.

The uniformity of the approaching delegation put lôilar at ease, the chaotic styles of the modern day sahsahlah has never been something he admired, he longed for the old days, when the socialist party was so influential that ruled over the High Prince himself, and everything seemed so regular and perfect. he gave a nudge to the shoulder of the nearest boy at his left, and the small group of kids slowly reached Erich Krenz ''thâishèina îthe fàlshanthàl Erich Krenz! welcome mr. president Erich Krenz!" they shouted before offering an handwoven traditional sâh'li headdress. lôilar reached the delegation shortly after the gift was received, ''thâishèina, welcome. I'm lôilar shàn, the prime minister's personal secretary, we are very happy to have you finally here'' he said as the reporters struggled to get beyond the police line.

President Erich Krenz nodded at the children as Boris blushed even more, hoping he would go unseen as Erich sys: "Thank you all, i hope i will make many friends" as he passes out sweets he got from the boat, smiling as he looks around him.
He rather liked the headdress, it suits him, and as he looks around he than sees Boris is hiding behind the bodyguards, smiling as he sighs.

"I'm sure you will, mr. president" agreed lôilar before moving to the side of Erich Krenz for some photos "here, here, let's make the press happy aswell, shall we?" and laughed. "we have two helicopters ready for us if you'd like to proceed" he then looked at the young boris "I'm sure you'll love the view of the shâlthakkèl mountains, we'll fly trough them to get to the capital city"

Erich Krenz than looked at the cameras trying to smile saying: "What is a helicopter comra...sir..." As Boris blushes even more, running his fingers through his golden blonde hair as he swallows, and he softly says: "If there a few people there i am happy....ish"

-what kind of barbarians are we dealing with- he said to himself without showing any emotion on his face "don't call me sir, I'm just an humble civil servant.. it's something you can have aplenty, I'm sure, with our support..." he lowered his voice "...comrade" a true smile shined on lôilar's face for the first time that evening, he didn't use that appellative from a long time.
Showing the way with his left arm he continued "and don't worry, they're safe, I wouldn't come with you if they were not, would I?" he concluded, laughing while the kids, after having eaten all the sweets, slowly started to leave -I hope I won't be in trouble if they get ill... kids these days- he thought.

"Well OK, I guess so, I am just a bit paranoid after living through war all my life" Erich Krenz says as he follows suit, and Boris as well, swaying his hips though he obviously tries to walk as manly as he can, than again, the name Boris never suited the small, blonde, androgynous looking teen.

I'm sure sahsahlah wouldn't be a place of peace today, if it wasn't for the wars that shaped us. maybe you'll live long enough to see that happen in your country aswell, it is certainly in your interest, and ours, to have a peaceful and prosperous east ustya" the delegation arrived in front of two tandem rotor helicopters, painted with the colours of the sâh'li flag.
As the engines started to warm up, the president sat down inside the first helicopter with his guards, the little brother and lôilar; the rest of the delegation got on board the second.

"Good, I see the boy suffer and I just can not stand it, he has already been through enough after he saw his parents being executed, as well as his little sister, and since than he has not been outside much" Erich Krenz says, hoping that he could have a human conversation instead of facing a stone wall.

The helicopter passed the mountains and entered a big valley, many skyscrapers and impressive cities started to appear along with wide farmlands and the large river flowing in the middle of the valley.

"Soybeans along with rice are the main crops cultivated here, the agricultural sector has seen very few government funds, thus our agricultural production is just enough for our internal needs, it's not something we're particularly good at. But we have a remarkable wine production in the hills near the coast your ship docked at" he answered

"I think you will find it surprising that our farms do not receive any government funding at all" Erich Krenz says as he smiles. "We only lay the foundation, the farmers do the rest, mostly by hand I may add, and after they grow their first crop they mostly take care of themselves as a community, providing food for the nation"

"Well we work because it benefits our nation, and it creates a sustainable world for our children, and we have learned that material wealth is not the most important thing in life, and our farmers donate a lot of the crops to the state, so they do not need to pay taxes" Erich Krenz says as Boris reads an anime magazine with half naked people in it.

"my goodness!" said lôilar, shocked, as the cameras started to flash at the young boris as he was jumping out before the stepladder of the big helicopter was even completely open.

bielcìrse thâitha, recently appointed prime minister of the amaranthine high princedom of sahsahlah, leader of the amaranth union party and self-proclaimed friend of his majesty himself was standing in the airport with a line of diplomats from the COIA, a battalion of bureaucrats and surrounded by sâh'li soldiers in high uniform. he was probably at the top of his career, and even so, he felt incomplete. politics wasn't quite as he dreamed when he was young.
As the two helicopters started to land he opened his coat and fixed the tie "this show must end well or I'll be the prime buffoon of sahsahlah in no time" he said to the closer COIA councillor "certainly sir, I'm persuaded this will-" "yeah, yeah, I'm sure, it will go well" interrupted bielcìrse, with an extremely calm tone of voice, while his heart was beating faster and faster.
the first helicopter touched the ground, the door opened, the ladder started to lower down, suddenly a boy jumped off of it, with great excitement of the numerous reporters present.
"my goodness!" said the prime minister, as all the delegation with him remained silent in awe
