He turned around and cleared his throat.

Pacifica turned about to see the Kaiser there willing to speak to her or so she presume so she poiliety introduced herself "Good Afternoon, I'm Pacifica from AHSCA. You are Kaiser Crassus am I right? It's good to meet you."

"Parfuhmerie certainly has something to offer," Ka'tyu said, his expression neutral, "Although there's also the matter that — as I'm sure you know — we're mostly called demons because that's what we literally are. During diplomatic gatherings like this, I much prefer lying in wait. If someone approaches me, it shows that they aren't afraid of the unknown." He paused for a moment, listening to what the Spanish delegate said. "Hmm, another religious nation..." he said, his eyes looking slightly to the side of Benito as though he was trying not to look suspicious. If his backstory was true, his cautious, observant nature was probably a remnant of a bygone life of espionage, although it certainly benefit him in his life as a diplomat since he could accurately scrutinize potential foes & allies if he was given more detail about them.

"I come from a place of many species and people and kinds. We're usually discriminated against so it's not as though I cannot relate. Just remember that not all religions are the same it's really the ones of the Judaeo-Christian origins you gotta watch out for. Or at least the more extreme ones out there. Demon sounds plenty interesting to me."

"Things have been going well for us, our wet seasons a bit late but it hasn't bitten back with too much of a vengeance yet and it's nearly over anyway. But besides the weather anyway I suppose it's business as usual for us. We're really expanding our diplomatic programs further it's really shaping up."

"Well, anyone who's no' an atheist will cer'ainly feel a tad uncomfortable aroun' demons because of the stigma wi'h us," Ka'tyu said, using his cigarette for a moment before continuing, "As for the demon type I am, we're the descendan's o' demons who were... much more unsavory & closer t' the ones mentioned in religion, I'd say, & we kept the name since we're used to it. Mostly aren't good people, qui'e frankly — they serve someone who I suppose could be considered a devil, but us colony folk don't really help them. Mays 'ell be considered another race or species."

Course, we Parfuhmerians are demons in name only, I'd wager, aside from our mild lack of morals, although we generally keep tha' in the shadowy corners o' the ci'y."

After discussing the posibilities of a race, Cheonsa showed marty some pictures of his daughters and looked across the room to see where Marty's mother was. Apparently, she was in a coversation with other leaders. "Can you hear what they're talking about?" He asked Marty.

After discussing the posibilities of a race, Cheonsa showed marty some pictures of his daughters and looked across the room to see where Marty's mother was. Apparently, she was in a coversation with other leaders. "Can you hear what they're talking about?" He asked Marty.

He swiveled his left ear around a bit. "It doesn't sound like mum's the main person in the conversation. They're talking about how some of their species aren't always treated the best. Right now a demon is defending his reputation. Apparently his sort aren't like the demons you and I would picture, but the name's causing people some worry. Religion seems to be part of the discussion too, which doesn't really surprise me. Christians in Russia forced mum's ancestors into exile, even though most of them were Christians themselves."

He looked at the pictures and smiled. "I can't really have pictures taken of me anymore. Cameras don't detect ghosts. Fortunately my whole family had a picture taken together a bit before... that happened. Nowadays they let me draw myself into the picture so I'm not left out."

"I'd probably have to go to a different timeline than mine to get a camera like that. It's anyone's guess whether it would work or not, but it's worth a try. The problem is that I'm not made of anything physical, so there isn't anything for the camera to pick up. Scientists still aren't sure why ghosts like me are visible at all. We're probably the least-understood creatures on my world. There's next to none of us around, it's hard to study something that isn't made of anything, and a lot of ghosts don't want anything to do with people because they're bitter and have unfinished business, like you thought I had earlier.
It doesn't really matter, though. I don't look much different from the last picture they took of me, so even if I do ever pass on people will know what I looked like. What really matters is remembering special times yourself."

That wouldn't do so he decided to intervene, saying loudly to them all. "Hello all of you. This is very good advice, and I strongly recommend you take it, especially as in the NMK all species are treated equally both under the law and hopefully by the people. While you may not be under it's jurisdiction, I will not tolerate those who violate that rule. Now, let's go back to a clean slate and talk about a different topic. Who first?"

Vince also was unsurprised about the reality of vampires, and at this point expected her universe of origin to be heavy on the paranomal stuff compared to this one. He wasn't a believer personally, and this did really change that - and on the vampire note, the lack of brutal murder for the blood was happily satisfying for him to hear. Now he wanted to talk about their nation, and in return he'd tell her something. After she had finished, his response was "Glad to hear you don't murder people to live, and the perpetual youth must be nice. While we're walking or standing, why don't you tell me more about your country and then you can ask me questions in return?"

Vince chuckles "Well, did what you've read tell you the age of the Emperor? I'm sure that answers your question" and then tries to discretely escape from the conversation by walking away, hoping to find someone else to talk to.

After see that him just escaped like that sayuri begun to think that maybe it something is happening here but since this wasn't her world and their affairs are their affairs she decide to talk with the devonta delegation and maybe their president if it is possible.

[New Aavalon]

Larisa: "Well, we have to drink the blood of humans, or another one of our world's intelligent species. Given how strange and specific that is, many believe that us vampires are the result of some sort of curse. In any case, we drink donated blood provided by volunteers. For some of my ancestors this sadly wasn't the case, but the world was much more hostile back then and they didn't have that option. It helps that there are many more humans in the world than vampires. If we were more numerous, I imagine things wouldn't have ended up so peaceful.
I usually try to tolerate peoples ideologies, as long as they aren't screaming about genocide or other villainous nonsense. My nation's system is sometimes considered a form of communism, but that term doesn't really mean much to me. For most people it means the authoritarian nightmare that the Soviet Union brought about in some universes, something I would never want.
And yes, Sitka is very, very far off. It's in southeastern Alaska, which is already far away from most places, and on top of that it exists in a completely different universe than this one. Magic had to be used to travel here."

Marty: "Hmm... I think I'd want to try sailing with one of the captains back home, but thanks!"

"Aah the realm of magic, one that is closed to us and one we wish to keep that way. However in magic cannot a curse be lifted? Well the ideologies I mentioned chased , harassed and killed us on our travails so that does leave a resentful taste. Another universe would make diplomacy difficult but who knows what the future holds. It has been a delight, but I must circulate, but should there be dancing later I would be honoured if you would partner me."

[New Aavalon]

"Thank you. I'll inform are Secretary of State of your pending application. And yes, Devonta is a democracy. To be exact we are a Constitutional Republic. Quite a large one too. If you count our territories and commonwealths we represent about 1.3 Billion citizens. Devonta covers over 2,000,000 kilometers so I do imagine we are much larger then Aavalonia. May i ask your're nations form of governance?"

"Currently we are a Monarchy, but with the change of birth rates over the last several decades we are becoming a Matriarchal Power, serving under the King. Your land is certainly larger than ours and we are seeking ways of reclaiming land from the sea to increase living space, we do have a few ideas in that direction."

[The Cult of War]

A rift tore through the air like a rip through fabric; through the rift were countless staring red eyes in an inky black void. Greasy, oily appendages reached out of the void, while the whole thing let out a sanity-crumbling low pitched drone which assailed the ears like razors. It was only open for a moment, but long enough for five people to leave from within the rift.

Stepping out of the ghastly, impenetrable void was Arch Priest Argost Grimmsfeng. The Arch Priest was towering at eleven feet tall and quite hale, with muscled limbs as thick as tree trunks and hands like saucers. He was dressed in ceremonial plate armor made of black iron, fitted specially for him. It was made to show off his wealth, but built thick and weighty out of dense black iron so as to still be functional, if cumbersome. The Arch Priest's face bore grisly, disfiguring scars on the right side of his face, and he wore a stylized ivory eyepatch, shaped like a skull, over his right eye. His hair was coarse and black, but kept in a military crew cut. Thin, conical fangs jutted from his mouth, and all the while he had a blank, almost dour expression. His left eye did not bear any ferocity or passion, but was just empty and devoid of feeling. As the Arch Priest stepped forth with a slow but methodical gait, his many weapons shook with each step. He frowned as he stared down each of the other leaders at the event.

Following the Arch Priest were four body guards; two orogs, a minotaur, and an ogre. The orogs stood around eight feet tall and wore black iron plate armor with open faced helmets, showing off their massive tusks. The minotaur was nearly as towering as the Arch Priest, and quite statuesque as well. The minotaur wore plate armor as well, but it was made of a metal that was far more silvery, though pitted and scratched. The minotaur held a tower shield made of the same material as the armor, nearly large enough for the whole entourage to hide behind. The ogre was the tallest present, at twelve feet tall, and had grotesque features, as well as sickly skin that had an almost bluish hue. The massive, greasy figure smiled widely with a blackish grin and beady, sunken eyes. The ogre wore brigandine armor made of tanned human leather and black iron, and carried a gargantuan punt gun, which was more of an artillery piece than a small arm. Around the ogre's neck was a necklace of dozens of human skulls.

"You're all early." the Arch Priest spoke, his voice deep, but smooth, spoken in a commanding but suave tone that contrasted with his actual words. "Were you just waiting for me to arrive? Hmmph; this isn't much, but it will do." The Arch Priest raised his voice, speaking so all present could hear him as he burst in on the gathering. "I am Arch Priest Argost Grimmsfeng of the Cult of War. I understand there is an event here for people to form alliances? I know there will be lots of people here looking to make allies, but I can promise you there's enough allegiance to go out to everyone."

The orogs and minotaur took a defensive stance around the Arch Priest, while the ogre seemed to be scoping out the area for threats. After looking the area over, the ogre turned to Grimmsfeng and whispered in his ear. "My lord, there a few dangers here, but it ain't be nothing that we can't take. If need'n be, there's a few places we can falls back to while ya open another rift."

"Very good, Gloomgullet. Be ready with your canister shot."
