It's showing our national pride, and it is also part of our culture to always be ready to defend yourself at any given time. Also part of our culture to always be ready to commit murder at any given time. But this is doubly so for the Arch Priest because of how our succession works: whoever can kill the Arch Priest is the next Arch Priest, so the Arch Priest must be armed at all times wherever he may be, regardless of why he is officially there, in case someone tries to assassinate him. He must always appear strong and capable, and never show anything that could be perceived as weakness lest he attract ambitious assassins who think they are stronger and believe they could be better rulers. (Nevermind the fact that the Arch Priest doesn't actually have much power due to how impossible it is to enforce anything.)

Devonta is part of many alliances, but we wish further cooperation with other nations. We believe this is an opportunity to do so, especially since many alliances Devonta is a member of have gone dormant. I ask that a delegation from the Devontan government be allowed to attend; after all, Devonta is a strong nations economically, diplomatically, and militarily.

Can't find a good picture of dust knuckles though... They're basically gloves with special containers on the knuckles which can be filled with various substances which are released on a hard impact. Typically they are filled with tiny shards of glass. In this case, it is filled with glass and a toxin.

I don't think anyone here would have a problem with that, seeing they're perfectly fine with a divine being who once defeated the devil and fought a big chunk of the US Army alone.

Well I'm not the OP but I think you can just join but most of us just expressed interest here and posted when the IC went up.

I have a puppet I haven't used in a while, not since back before I founded Sitka. It's America under Theodore Roosevelt, but in the same setting as Sitka. I made it after reading a biography of the guy.

I think it might be fun to try to bring that one back for this, but I'd have to redo some factbooks for it first.
