She adjusted her cup of coffee on her desk "We should keep this organization limited to preserving life and cultures, not creating new ones or bringing dead ones back into the modern world."

Asim shook his head in disapproval of the Doman Delegate. Polytheism left a bad taste in his mouth.

"Now, we should move on to important issues. This organization was created to preserve the many cultures of the Isles first and foremost. We should discuss which of these are under threat and how best to protect them."

Santoso chuckled at the Thuzbek and Doman delegates response. That's why he left his religion years ago. He then prepared himself to speak, years of experience has prepared him for this.

"I propose a motion to discuss the establishment of museums to preserve the culture and identity of many refugees now stranded all over the Isles. It is imperative for this body to react properly, else the demise of their valued cultures will be inevitable."

Entering the room was Giovanni Ventura, The San Montagnan delegate to ACESTI, many things including the lack of a functioning Government prevented San Montagna from sending a delegate sooner, but with the election they could finally send a delegate to ACESTI.

Wécé noticed the slights at religion. She took no offense from it but certainly wasn't pleased.

"I second the motion from the Samuderan delegate. It would be worth discussing"

"The chair calls for the tabling of a resolution to discuss the establishment of museums to preserve the culture and identity of refugees. May I also welcome Mr Ventura and thank his government for so swiftly getting involved. It truly says a lot about where your priorities lie, and we are comforted by that."

Sofi nodded her approval of the motion, but her mind was elsewhere. Her friend had sent her a link to the latest Her World article about her and, while she found the general theme to be positive, she was having trouble stifling a laugh about it's absurdity. Still, it was a good smokescreen.

Lord Wilmore, recognising the Atharan delegate’s mistake, stared significantly at the delegate, raised his eyebrows several times, whilst keeping a strait face, and said drily, “I’ve always put more value on the culture of the Lortik common folk, y’know.” Turning more serious, but comically so with an exaggerated frown and a twirl of his moustache, he continued,“This assemblage seems to have gotten over Jacarécanga and Cambeba, hmm?”

“What precisely are you referring to by the way?” inquired Wilmore innocently, but facetiously, he had managed to improvise a response without paying too much attention to the question, he realised he could not recall any recent genocides in the Ilse.

I am replacing Mr Charles Burja as the Athara Magarati delegate to the ACESTI due to our upcoming elections just five days away. While normal citizens like me can perform e...yes, e-voting; the presence of senior government officials such as Mr Burja is required in New Libang. I believe I will be able to take it from here."

"If the debate on museums for refugees is to be tabled, then I suggest we return to examining the possibility of international cooperation in the sciences. We could focus on space exploration if some of the finer points of biology are distasteful to some of the more religious delegates present."

"I highly suggest we return to the discussion of the Museums for minority cultures. I suggest that we choose several cities which will be known to respect the museums," Asim said. "I would suggest Corindia, Belle Ilse en Terre, and my own nation as hosts of these museums. Our city of Ashluv and the coastal city of Baslov would be fine locations for cultural museums. As for funding, I believe that these should be ACESTI programs. The Host nation would choose the location and build, with advise and consent of the delegates gathered here, the museums. The ACESTI would then decide what to fill it with, which cultures each museum should focus on, and be responsible for the procurement of material to be placed in the museum. The Host nations should be responsible for the staff and maintenance of these museums excepting the recruitment and employment of experts based in these museums as one of the primary parts of the experts jobs should be to create an international community of experts with common goals and funding to ensure that cultures are properly described and so that a dedicated team, working in various nations and communicating mostly by means of the internet, can advise the ACESTI while also performing their duties at the local museum."

"If necessary, our nation is willing to provide preserved relics and other artifacts from various museums in Arun Valley. In fact, we do have various artifacts that were collected during Khas-Kirati conquests and by Magarati Colonial Realms trading companies - quite a number of relics that have yet to be returned to their original destination."

"My nation boasts many museums dedicated to historic...events involving minorities. Such as Those caught up in the Great Purge in the 12th-14th centuries. And we continue to find artifacts from ancient trade deals."

Wécé would shift some papers on her desk. "My point is, we would be willing to provide expert knowledge on the construction and lay out of these new facilities to give pride to the minorities and refugees. If this is agreeable to the members of this program?"
