You are aware that there are people called "procrastinators" out there, and that there's still nearly 24 hours left to bid?
(i.e. i have plans for this scenario don't worry)

Stark polar beauty... rugged tundra landscape... a cozy small town atmosphere...

Welcome to Beiszendmizu! The largest settlement on the icy south coast of Tödlichebujoku, Beiszendmizu is known for both its constant arctic chill and its especially warm disposition. The friendliness of its residents is commonly known elsewhere in Tödlichebujoku as "Beiszendmizun sielun kotiliesi", or "the Beiszendmizu soul's hearthside", and will particularly evident as its small population isn't one jaded by constant foreign tourism, as may be the case in certain capital cities. With that said, the landscape around the city is a significant domestic attraction, especially for winter sports such as skiing, sleighing, and skating. In the summer, hiking and mountain climbing are popular, and fishing is done all year round. Well, let's dive in further!

Image

The city itself started as a small village dependent on the ocean for survival, subsisting on fish, seals, and the occasional whales. Its natural harbor made it an important stop for summer fishing fleets, and thus became a local economic center. The civil war that destroyed most of the other Tödlichebujoki cities never really made it to Beiszendmizu due to its small size and isolation at the time, so its historic city center was preserved to the modern day. Its isolation also made it the primary prospect for the Naantali project, one that allowed Tödlichebujoki mages to rain plasmic fire from the heavens while being oceans away. However, it found itself booming in recent decades as winter sports experienced a renaissance in popularity, and is now a well-known city within the island nation, with facilities and attractions to match.

Image

One of the most distinctive buildings in Beiszendmizu is the Great War Memorial Museum, dedicated to Beiszendmizu's part in ending the last great international conflict. Another, the Great Southern Temple, is the southernmost Maailmallinen temple in the nation. The city's brightly colored architecture is another attraction, standing out from the stark and drab tundra landscape around it.

Image
admire the vibrant architecture

Image

Of course, there is much to do outside the city as well. Hiking, mountain climbing, fishing, sleighing, skiing... the possibilities are endless! Go on a cruise along the rocky and mountainous coast, or eat seafood fresh from the docks in a remote village! The road system is quite smooth and reliable for such a low-density region, so you'll be able to go where you want to go, when you want to go!

Image
go out on a reindeer ride!

even the street lighting can have an artistic touch

Image

Accommodations are similarly flexible. You can sleep under the auroras, or by a nice warm fireside.

The Yáákupo is the largest wooden dome in the known world, and is Beiszendmizu's premier venue for nearly all events. Seating 16,000 in concert configuration, it can hold a significant number of people, and the contest can be projected upon the dome itself for outside viewers to enjoy.

Reminiscent of the fire in the hearth, or perhaps a colonnade of ice, the stage has been designed with a hearth-like center that can be made to appear warm and welcoming or cold and forbidding. From above, the stage's design recalls a sacred Tödlichebujoki symbol that invokes protection for all in the room.

POSTCARDS

Image

The postcards will be of a great height in your nation, or anything that recalls the phrase "rise above", whether it be a concert performance, the signing of a treaty, or simply an iconic skyscraper.

Thank you for reading, and please do vote for Beiszendmizu!

Viv Rumie to represent Estogium at WorldVision Song Contest 63!

Listen to the song RIGHT HERE!

Viv Rumie will represent Estogium at the WorldVision Song Contest with the song, "Top" which is a feisty track about reaching the top regardless of her opposition, or whoever may stop here. It's an inspirational song, telling people out there to not put up with anyone who is trying to drag you down. Below, you can find lyrics from her song!

I don't care, I'll fight my way to the top!
No one can stop me, don't even try it.
I will battle until you and I swap,
Now it's time for me to shake up the world.

Waaaa-ooo-oo-ooo-oooahhh, I'll make the top (I'll fight my way to the top)
I will battle until you and I swap,
Now it's time for me to shake up the world.

She will perform in many countries before WorldVision, so watch her tweets, where she will announce them all.

The first Izmepisma since WorldVision 60 has now finished and it is now time to reveal the winner of Izmepisma. Compared to the last edition, 4 international juries have voted in the grand final and additionally, the televoting was reported to have been the closest in the national final's recent history. However, there was a clear and decisive winner from the 9 songs on offer. With that, we can now reveal that the winner of the 11th Izmepisma is...

Sara Novak & Juraj Gundic - Don't Let Go

With 68 points (36 jury + 32 televote), Sara Novak & Juraj Gundic's pop duet won a decisive victory against Lana Vukusic's 'El Paradais' with a winning margin of 13 points. 'Don't Let Go' is the only song in the Grand Final to have gotten a consistent stream of jury votes, appearing in every jury's top 3 vote. Additionally, their duet also recorded a stellar televote, attaining over 178,000 votes through a combination of app, SMS, and landline voting, overpowering public favorites such as Vukusic and the Glavas-Delic duet. Having these impressive statistics behind them as well as a prize change from old Izmepisma editions, Novak & Gundic now have the right and choice to become either the WorldVision or World Hit Festival participants. Both have decided to become the Izmeduan entrants for the 63rd WorldVision Song Contest. Thus, they enter extensive rehearsals in the lead up to WV63.

With the new Izmepisma policy at hand, Lana Vukusic now has the option to choose to represent Izmedu in the 39th World Hit Festival. A decision from her team will come in due course at the end of the 38th World Hit Festival.

We thank each and every international jury that voted in Izmepisma. This would not have been possible without your participation.

(Re)-Introducing the Committee By-Elections!

With the unexpected and unfortunate resignation of Norjihan (AKA Normandy and Picardy) from the Committee due to other commitments, we are holding by-elections to fill his spot. Any player who has participated in WV62 is eligible. To apply, post your intent to do so in this thread- a statement/manifesto of who you are/what you intend for this contest is optional but definitely recommended.

Elections will be held at the same time as host voting, and anyone who has successfully participated in a WorldVision contest may vote.

Togonistan for the Committee!
#

Due to Tod being desperate for someone to run certain things I have noticed (and somewhat unhappy with), I have decided to run for the committee.

What I have in mind:

In my eyes, the current committee just has certain shortcomings when it comes to some basic things, such as keeping OOC threads up to date. WV needs to be professional, look professional, feel professional.

Yet, for some reason, current committee seems to be one person short. While I appreciate and respect the current committee, I believe that with my current experience in WV (and NS/roleplay/hosting stuff in general) I believe I can be a valuable addition.

Thank you.

STE | ESVV melodier størma Ekoesestopplistan!

Postby Ekoz » Thu Mar 01, 2018 4:44 am

Image

Ekoz's favourite show, Ekoes Soekke vor Vinna has again impacted on the Ekozian music charts! The victorious Ludvik Ingarsson with his hit Lost, Unfound shot straight to the number one spot hours after winning ESVV, knocking previous WorldVision host and participant, Yohanna van Umsaak into the number two position.

Only three of the countries' top ten singles are non-Ekoes Soekke vor Vinna related, with Dhani Volsoek and Zaara Vinderbrøk in the third an fourth position respectively. Debuting artist Jessika Dinterfjord enters in the sixth position and Axel Jonsson and NIKKO round out the top ten at eight and ten.

Bosses at the STE have credited the creative directors and executive producers of the national final calling the show 'a huge success with a high calibre of current Ekozian music. I expect the show's return to only go from strength to strength". Rating figures show a viewership of 73%, estimating around 12 million viewers at it's peak, hailing the show a huge success with the public.

Ludvik Ingarsson is expected to maintain his lead at the number one spot with sales soaring well above the rest of the top ten and will represent Ekoz at the 63rd WorldVision Song Contest this month.

Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018: Semi Final 1: Voting Open!

Postby Britonisea » Sat Mar 03, 2018 2:33 pm

Image

Britonisea's search for it's next WorldVision and World Hit star is here in the shape and form of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2018! Vha Mehlodhivestoile is a very successful Britonish televised music show, which is televised in many nations across the multiverse. The aim of Vha Mehlodhivestoile is to find the artists that will proudly fly the Britonish flag in WorldVision and World Hit Festival. Some of Britonisea's biggest stars launched their solo careers through Vha Mehlodhivestoile, including Mini Surrey North (who went on to win WV47), Rigas Jengiz and Dean Boyst (who went on to win WHF37). Moreover, we have facilitated the success of some stars, such as Etela Tomac. However, it's not all Britonisea's doing - in fact, we allow international voting in the three semi finals and the Grand Final. We are asking for you to listen to the songs over the next few weeks and help us decide who will win the next Vha Mehlodhivestoile!

Image

This week, we will be going to the city of Ghiez; a northern city knee-deep in snow. But despite the cold weather, a large audience of 14,000 has packed in to the arena for an hour and a half of great music. The first eight acts are performing and here they are in a list by their running order; Zeke Lemondey, Eleanora Buckingham, J3, Luxury Ladies, Thiago Josef, Kelsey Banques, KNTRY Girls and finally, Petre Lemetre. After they perform, there will be an intermission before the international juries' votes are released to the Britonish public. Then, the Britonish votes will freeze and then be revealed. After the amalgamation, the top 2 acts will go straight to the final in Luton, whereas the 3rd and 4th place will go to Zelmerlow's battle stage. Do you want to vote? The link is below!
