To that end, ¥abber intends to provide a platform for "Average Joe" insight into your Future Tech star-states or entities, both humorous and serious in nature - as is common upon a social media platform - as well as your star-state's government offices, companies, and various other characters - individual and otherwise. Future Tech roleplayers are invited to post as any character of their Future Tech characters, be it a random individual, a celebrity, a politician, or even actual governmental departments or missions. As can be expected, all of this roleplaying will be conducted in the form of ¥abber posts (the formats for which you can find below), complete with ¥abtags - for your trending pleasure.
Beyond this, there are only a few, simple rules with regards to conduct in this thread. Keep in mind (this does not include the In-Character "Terms of Use" for ¥abber itself, which can be found below). All posts within this thread are, chiefly, expected to adhere to the following parameters:
- Adhere to the NationStates Rules, of course.
- This thread is OPEN to Future Tech roleplayers, and no application is required. Simply come-up with a character (in the name of an account name) and post; they will be added to the "Registered ¥abbers" listing at my earliest convenience.
- Be approximately 600 characters in length, or, more simply: aim for 4-6 lines of text per ¥ab, at their greatest. I will not be counting these, and you are free to post "continuances," but if it's all with regards to the same discussion, please keep it restrained to one actual thread post to keep down on the potential for spam.
- If you wish to use an avatar other than the default one, please keep the image approximately 55x55 pixels. You may use a site, such as Imgur, to resize any image you desire to fit within this limit.
- Posts are expected to be made using at least one of the formats provided below, sans the ¥abber Staff format, which is reserved for accounts listed under "¥abber Staff." Keep in mind: these staff are In-Character; they are there to "enforce" the In-Character Terms of Use, not remove you from this thread. That is, as usual, reserved to the thread OP. They can, however, issue In-Character "warnings" - which will be listed beside the account listing in question. Keep in mind: this is intended to be fairly light-hearted, and is purely In-Character.
- Remember: in general, "Don't be a dick."
¥abber Formats
Three ¥abber Formats are provided for users: Generic, Verified, and Staff. Each of these formats have different purposes, as detailed below; players are free to use Generic and Verified at their leisure, based upon their use. The Staff format is reserved for In-Character ¥abber Staff; usage of such may result in a telegram asking you to change such, or your post being removed on request of the OP.
To copy a format, simply open a spoiler below, copy the code, and fill in the appropriate information as indicated. No, you do not have to have a "¥abtag" for every post, but the format is provided for you in each in the event you desire to use such. Similarly, each format is equipped with a "like" and "dislike" counter, as indicated by a "✓" for likes and a "✗" for dislikes; feel free to adjust the count as you see fit.
Remember: if you wish to replace the default image, please keep the one you wish to use in the ballpark of 55x55 pixels in size.
- Generic Format
The Generic ¥abber format is what most individual characters are likely to use. It is simply an account registered with the ¥abber service. Is your character an "Average Joe"? If so, they should be using this format. If you wish to mention/link someone with a generic format, their color code is "#006477"; simply write their name inside of a [ color ] code to produce their name appropriately: @as_example.
Verified Format
The Verified ¥abber format is intended to be used by celebrities, politicians, official government department/service accounts, companies, or other public figures where it benefits the reader to be certain that the account is legitimate. If your character or entity fits this description, they should be using this format. You will be able to tell the difference due to a small "" after the ¥abber account name. If you wish to mention/link someone with a verified format, their color code is "#006477"; simply write their name inside of a [ color ] code to produce their name appropriately: @as_example.
Staff Format
The Staff ¥abber format is reserved for listed ¥abber staff accounts. These accounts are In-Character staff, and while they may "warn" an account, this is not against you as a player in any official (or unofficial) capacity. In the event any Out-of-Character rule is broken, you will be informed by the OP. It's just for an added layer of fun, because "playing the bad guy" is sometimes fun - and that includes ¥abber staff. Please do not use this format unless one of your accounts is made a member of the ¥abber staff. They can readily be identified by their account names being of a different color than normal ¥abbers, and by the small "" following their name. If you wish to mention/link someone with a staff format, their color code is "#ff3300"; simply write their name inside of a [ color ] code to produce their name appropriately: @as_example.
