[TWI-ONLY] [OOC] : The Spectre

Okay I know I didn't use the UO and I will in the future, but can I run some airstrikes on the PLF using some planes I have for my air force in the area? My target areas would be military installations around Lahpso Tala and Lihai and will constitute a weeklong sustained campaign.

What I didn't Mention in my recent post:

My forces will now be moving south rapidly. using SA-25s, they would be keeping the jets at bay for the moment, I think (will consult Mik on this). Perhaps now would be a good time to accuse Thuzbekistan publicly of supporting the PLF.

My forces will be moving rapidly to the South, aiming at Lihai.

I'll mention it here that'll I'll prepare an OOB (Order of Battle) for my forces involved in the intervention into Orsandia, and then have my next IC post be the military reaction to the fall of Lahpso Tala, with a parallel post in my maintenance thread about the political reaction. Probably following with my first news post in a while to tie up loose ends.

Jorvvik is happy to assist with military assistance once placed on the map in Gael, extremely close to Orsandias western border. If Dormill and Stiura can allow passage through its airspace, we can assist from that side, perhaps a joint op?

Special Notes: Within 3 Days, the 9th and 13th Regiments will be ready for tasking in Orsandia. Within 1 Week, both the 5th and 7th Brigades will have deployed. If it is necessary, the 6th and 8th Brigades will respond as reserve forces, but only if necessary.

Before you get your feet wet, I think you should consult with Mik about your military structure, im not sure if any Gaeltic nations IC have an aircraft carrier in our immediate vicinity.

I've adjusted my military more accordingly. Jorrvik can provide fairly comprehensive air support and ground units, as well as means for the anticipated refugee's.

Why would it, though? Why would your soldiers fight other nations' wars? Before you decide if and how you'd want to intervene - first think about your motivations and agendas for being involved in the first place. Also, remember that there are already several military forces involved, namely from two neighboring nations. Think if your nations would really have an advantage or not...

Why? Because our point of view this has the ability to escalate even further and spill out wider. With the influx of refugees, Jorvvik would want to nip this crisis in the bud before its inundated with more refugees then it can handle. Jorvvik wouldn't just ignore it's neighbours in trouble, that would be deemed bad for international relations.

I'm not talking about ignoring - there are many options like humanitarian aid, diplomacy, etc. - not just military involvement. Three armed forces from Gael are already involved in this, not including the insurgents themselves and Thuzbekistan. Ask yourself if you really see a good reason to throw yet another military force into the mix - let alone not a neighboring one.

Jorvvik would happily send humanitarian aid and supplies. Diplomacy would seem mute by this point as action is already being undertaken. I wouldn't send humanitarian aid into a war zone until I knew it was relatively safe to do so, hence the offering of sending further military assistance to bring the fighting to a faster close and then deploy medical, humanitarian and refugee aid. That was all I was suggesting.

You are not on the map yet - please wait until you are before actually getting involved in RP.

Also, Ors, just letting you know - ICly Ostehaar would be against allowing any nation (other than Dorm, Ostehaar, and Orsandia) the use of your airspace. Three air forces is already crowded enough...

Aruia , good news post, but you gotta edit it bud. We aren't at the IC stage where Thuzbekistan has even officially been implicated as a co-conspirator in the Orsandian conflict yet. What you can do though to edit this post, instead of saying you "know" Thuz is behind it, you can strongly accuse him of doing so, and acting in a manner that you choose. Just remember, its gonna be a while until Thuz and Samu are unveiled to behind plf aid.
