I'll make this brief because I'm pretty livid: Is there ANYTHING I MUST know about the course of this RP that I MUST pay attention to so I can post the correct thing at the correct time so I don't look like a complete jackass who doesn't know how to write a proper post?

It appears that I need to update:

Samudera and I are discussing sending supplies to Orsandia. The first one was lucky to get through naval patrols. The next shipments are attempting to be much more coordinated and will have a decoy part to them as well.

But yes, the main thing we are working on / should focus on is BUILD UP and intelligence based operations ala "cat and mouse" between Oste, D&S, and I and Samudera/Thuzbekistan. This should be the main focus of the Spectre for at least the next two to three weeks.

So what will happen after that, Ostehaar has suggested that :

and it would also be a classic case of "low level people do the right thing, politicians fail"

So basically after the intel based cat and mouse, The intel teams from Dormill & Stiura, Ostehaar, and Orsandia begin to catch on the secret developments and intentions of the PLF, causing the PLF leader, and Thuzbek advisors to greenlight an attack in Lahpso Taha in the Urching Autonomous Region in Southern Orsandia. Due to slow actions by our politicians, and having the Orsandian Army caught off guard, a Lahpso Taha falls to the PLF, and a military base in Lahpso Taha is raided, with several troops defecting to the PLF with equipment. Those who were captured, continued to fight, or resisted the PLF are "dealt" with. The fall of Lahpso Taha and surprise defeat launches Orsandia in to full mobilization, with its allies seemingly following suit with a heightened level of alertness. This will we will transition full time into war RP mode.

You may all begin to plan your roles and specific involvements in anticipation of future developments. State them here and try to refer to the OOC for planning. I will be trying to post here more.

So to end our RP efforts should be focused on
-Intelligence Gathering, Counter-Intel ops, and Secret dealings (Samu/Thuz)
-Diplomatic Channels and interactions (World leaders, ambassadors)
- Early Armed Forces actions, (i.e- pre-emptive buildup, heightening alertness level, or even limited engagement if they choose.

My suggestion is to think of it like a story about police detective trying to find criminals. The criminals are always at least one step ahead, but the detective is gradually filling in the holes and closing in on them. On their part, the criminals try to leave as few clues behind them as possible.

And what clues we do leave (ships with unregistered cargo linking back to thuzbekistan, for instamce) will be purposely misleading.

Ostehaar, I was thinking that there could be a good use of your Intel assets in my nation at this time. While I'm sending decoy ships to orsandia, the real weapons are being sent mixed with real cargo to samudera. After the raid, you would know my civilian shipping is involved. Might be enough to activate an agent to try and figure out which port is being used, what ships are being sent, and where they're being sent.

Edit: I also find it funny that when I took this role, you were nervous as to my ability. Now we are working well together.

So I had this idea to keep the rp in the news during this build up period. So far the riots gave been just that- riots. Angry people. Yong Jun has been hard at work, though, trying to unite the smaller groups under the plf. I was thinking that if the plf and the smaller groups performed an orderly parade to attempt to show that destruction wasn't all this was about, then it would help make a lot of leaders more tense regarding the nature of these riots. But, just to throw a political wrench in the whole thing, the group representing the smaller faction unfurled the old flag of orsandia and the thuzbej flag. It would throw my governm ent into fit of distancing itself which would affect the thuzbek relationship with the PLF

already started that part. Aruia basically received the intel it needed on the most basic levels something even shared by media on what is going on with the riots, its already starting pre-emptive build up.
in that part i WILL need some diplomatic co op from those i share a border with.

Edit: Before I go here and post, I want to express admiration for Oste's post. I don't know if it was intentional, but the cold wet windy kind of weather just fit perfectly with what I described merely 150-300 miles south of the safehouse there. If that was intentional, I have to give a round of applause to paying attention to that detail.

I plan for my listening post in Samudera and one I'm going to establish by the fishing dock we will use for cargo to aid in tracking patrols, helping my subs keep out of sight, and directing shipping through the patrol lanes.

Orsandia and I were talking about my p arade idea and he is just going to have a couple protesters unfurl a flag during a riot. More realistic.
