So, after deciding a bit with a few people, I'd like to suggest something to change ACESTI. Meetings are summits that happen twice a year, maybe every February and August?

Events like the Isles Fair, can be just OOC voting or IC voting in a separate meeting unaffiliated with the twice-a-year ones for the host and mabe a theme and it might basically be a showcasing.

Another event will be Isles City of Culture which which happens yearly and will have a separate thread for submissions and winner is determined through RNG.

What do y'all think?

I don't like the RNG thing but other than that, I'm game.

Probably so. Just for the sake of not having to create a new thread every six months. Although, I wouldn't mind just having every meeting have its own thread but I think just one thread for the twice a year meetings would be nice and a separate thread for events and whatnot.

If you have any other ways to help pick winners, minus RNG or an actual OOC committee I'm down for it. I'm not experienced with things like this(and everything else.)

I would suggest a regional poll. It would draw attention to the content we produce for ACESTI and would give us a 'fair' democratic process of selecting the winner. As Info Secretary, I'm allowed to create polls, so I would volunteer to take that responsibility upon myself.

Does anyone have issues with my environmental NGO having a relatively long standing relationship with this organisation?

We were running under the assumption IC that there's been 54 secretary generals before the current one... so that means at least 40 years of history behind it...

Well, because it's clear that I am completely incapable of maintaining ACESTI as something like this and with someone(Ainslie) causing a mini revival. I think ACESTI IC should basically be removed and ACESTI OOC will mostly be a place for submitting cultural sites and news ideas.

The big change I would like to do is that the SICI thing will become a monthly showcase. Every month or so, all applications will be showcased. Kind of like the factbook showcases but with pretty pictures. ACESTI would be posting news as well, through a news outlet/newsletter called the ACESTI Journal. Promotional banner down below. I will make an actual one if you guys approve of this. The ACESTI Journal will cover stuff like environmentalism, cultural showcasing, protection of heritage, new technologies, etc. Anyone is free to use the ACESTI Journal for their news if you feel like you need to post something on the news thread.

I made ACESTI with hope that it can be a useful contributor to the region, but it fell into obscurity, but I hope that this can make ACESTI a good nationbuilding tool IC and OOC. This is being posted on both ACESTI forum and RMB. Please answer the poll.

It's too big for the forum. Sorry.

Maybe let's not do the IC thread, but keep it as existing IC?

I will keep the IC thread going on whenever it's needed and I will do the monthly showcasing, so if y'all got sites to showcase for the showcase coming late September, put 'em here.

On another note, do you want to have The Isles Fair up and running after we decide a host nation? I think maybe a new forum thread for the event would be suitable with everyone posting about their stalls and/or exhibits. If any of you have ideas, do tell.

How would a contribution to the Isles Fair look like? Is it a post in a special thread with some pictures and text about the nation?

You got the major point. Each nation can choose to have their own exhibit. It can be just yourself or with others if you like, especially on those with special themes. If you want, you can have multiple different kinds of exhibits. Just not too many. For example, you can have one about Taiouan alone and maybe a joint one with let’s say Weinam with a general Chinese theme. More or less up to you. It’s meant to be a nationbuilding and showcasing thing.

that's a good start but we could go a bit bigger

this might play too much into planetary twi/real world connections, but could we look into GPS?
I mean, it's something i've always assumed we've had access to (sort of like the internet, another thing I think is best just not to think too hard about in a twi context)

I remembered someone said "follow the format" so here I am doing just that.

1.
Name of Site/Edu. Fac.: Palace of the Royals / Palace of Life and Death
General Location Near Your Country(No Map Images): Dociara City, Roendavar
Image(Only One and Optional):
Image

Short Description: Built in 1893, it is the home of the current monarchs of Roendavar. A few kilometers away from the bustle of the capital and hidden deep in a sea of trees, the Palace of the Royals is a best known example of the architectural style that influenced much of Dociara's character today. An antique palace carved with intricate design and architecture squeezed between the Dociara Forests and Draculenea Mountains, the Palace of the Royals is regarded as one of the most beautiful palaces in the world. Today, the palace is mostly off-limits but just observing it from afar makes for incredible views.

2.
Name of Site/Edu. Fac.: Eire City / "The City of the Water Goddess"
General Location Near Your Country(No Map Images): Noacie Municipality, Andavar State, Roendavar
Image(Only One and Optional):
Image

Short Description: Established around the 1500s, the city of Eire is a product of man's desire to conquer the unknown and explore the wilderness. Built with nature in mind, it is squeezed between the rough Noacie Mountains and Forma Lake, earning it the nickname "The City of the Water Goddess" as it lies between land and water. Although Eire is a huge city, the Old Town is the most photographed part since it is nearer to the lake. Quiet and peaceful, Eire feels like it is a paradise from the world, a true hidden gem.

3.
Name of Site/Edu. Fac.: Drius Lake and Wetlands
General Location Near Your Country(No Map Images): Misănte Municipality, Andavar State, Roendavar
Image(Only One and Optional):
Image

Short Description: Home to a majority of Roendavar's endemic species, Drius Lake is an important environmental preserve in the country. During the winter months, fog from the Draculenea Mountains reach the lake and create a gloomy effect, giving the lake its well-known frightening appearance with its large trees that create huge shadows and the still waters of the lake. The Drius Wetlands are also known for its paranormal events, with streaks of light often reported landing in the wetlands at the middle of the night. Fireballs are also seen to rise out of the lake's surface and shoot up to the sky. Today, the lake is heavily protected by the Central Government and tourists are allowed to roam freely around the lake.

4.
Name of Site/Edu. Fac.: Arculiethor Castle
General Location Near Your Country(No Map Images): Athropolia Municipality, Andavar State, Roendavar
Image(Only One and Optional):
Image

Short Description: Located near the Andavarian Capital of Vladivești, the Arculiethor Castle is known for its architecture and bloody history. The War of the Mandrake, the war that united Roendavar, was sparked in the castle's very halls, where the Grand Duke Vladimir II Avtiathir Freilunau was poisoned and the entire staff of the castle slaughtered all in one night.The ruling family relocated to the newly built palace in the center of the city and left Arculiethor Castle abandoned in the Draculenea Mountains. Today, the castle is empty, save for tourists that wish to visit its forgotten halls to honor the war that destroyed and united the Roendavarian spirit.

5.
Name of Site/Edu. Fac.: Varos River Nature Reserve and the Head of King Ivaria I
General Location Near Your Country(No Map Images): Iasunti Municipality, Sudever State to Noacie Municipality, Andavar State
Image(Only One and Optional):

Short Description: The Varos river flows from the highlands of the Draculenea Mountains, to the flat sloping plains of Iasunti, Sudever, then eventually winds to Noacie Municipality. The entire river is protected by the Central Government and dozens of important sites dot the river bank. One example is the Head of King Ivaria I, carved here by the Andavarian workers who explored the dense forests of Noacie. Other sites include the Reithorus Ruins and Macreviesti Settlement Ruins that were left behind during the original Valdiarian Conquests.
