Excellent. While I haven't found the time or juice to elaborate so far in my factbooks, the Dahoni triumvirs do have tenuous connections to Ethiopia, in the form of a runaway gay prince and his similarly musical (heh, musical) retinue fleeing to the farthest land he knew, way back in the latter half of the seventh century AD.

Yes. After 1975, the House of Nobles voted to trace the Brukean lineage back to the first Brukean king, instead of the Ethiopian Emperors. Instead of using the traditional title of Emperor, the Brukeans use the title of King (Negus) or Queen (Nigist) along with the title of Grand Duke or Grand Duchess. Since the Brukeans trace their lineage back to another country's monarchy, the Brukean monarchs commonly use the title Ras-Hoy (Great Duke), shorted to Ras (Duke), out of deference to those monarchs.
