All About The Contest
Welcome to the Draft Thread of the 4th Junior World Hit Festival! This will be the place where nations will work and post on their entry that I will then eventually transfer to the IC thread once it opens. The final deadline for posting entries is tentatively scheduled at December 15, 9PM GMT with the IC thread hopefully up within the next 48 hours after that. However, nations are free to make minor edits to their entries as I transfer them to the IC thread. There will be a 24 hour grace period after the entry posting deadline for nations to ask for edits as I post/finish up the IC thread. After December 17, all entries are considered final.

For this thread, you can use any format that you wish when posting your entry. The only things that will change as it is transferred to the IC thread will be the header (which will act as a link to your postcard and will be located at the top of your entry) as well as the text being aligned to the centre for uniformity's sake. Otherwise, the host nation will not alter the RP aspect in any major form, but minor additions are liable to be made that will only come at the very end of your entries.

The host reserves the right to make alterations to your RP when copying it over to the IC thread. However, these alterations will be limited to cleaning up the formatting as well as adding (not deleting) RP regarding the situation in the arena (i.e. how the audience reacted). Substantial/major alterations will not be made without written permission, and any further changes to an entry within the IC thread will only be done upon written request by the user behind it, and with host discretion

Additional Miscellaneous Information

RP and Stage Info: When determining your performance, you are more than free to refer to the host bid post as you write your RP. If you have any questions about specific stage effects or trying to see what is/isn't possible on the stage, don't be afraid to ask me questions through the #JWHF4 OOC thread, via an NS telegram or via a Discord DM.

What is a Complete Entry?: A complete entry, by technical definition, is an entry on the draft thread with a usable tune and a complete set of lyrics (all stanzas, verses, and etc. covered). Which means, I can transfer a post with just pure lyrics onto the IC thread and mark it as a complete entry. However, I encourage all nations to put in RP to your entries. It makes the entry look far more complete than just lyrics on the page, and while it won't guarantee higher points, it will signal to the WHF community that you are putting in effort. However, I understand that time is a crunch, but what will not be transferred is an entry with incomplete lyrics or just a header.

Additional Information on Headers: You are highly encouraged for this edition to include the names of your song's IC producers and IC lyric writers, pretty please. This information will go on your header. I will supply the header template used by previous WHF hosts, this will be used before each postcard to display information, but you entry will receive a graphic displaying most of the information you have given. ). However, you are not required to use this particular header for this draft thread, as you are free to use whatever format you use, as long as you give all the information required.

After Darkmania won the JWHF festival in Fauligekaikobu with a "mild controversial song" (by witch she sang about war), DaTV felt pride in that they finally won something. After a panel having discussed for a long time, they confirmed their choice, 8-1, to defending their shiny trophy. Afterall, they are the second only winner in the Junior song contest. Änna Kisdemin was given the task of being a head of the darkmanian deligation heading into Mercedini, where not only will her sing her winning song, "Fred I Mitt Land", she is (Removed not to create spoilers ahead).

Darkmania will be presented by the group Ërplers, who was formed as part of a school talent show. There, they came in third place. Since then, they have played small gigs just in their native Yrülas province, north of Örkendrem.DaTV felt that this group was the best one who can defend their trophy.

We kick the defending champions entry by Ërika standings standing still while the camera slowly moves toward her. She is currenly wearing some thing simmular to this, exept her dress has more bright colours and her hair has a ponytail on the left sholder. The stage Is litred with fake palmtrees, and there is even a hammock between two of the fake palmtrees. All the group member also wear something tropical and their wear is also colourfull.

The audience goes wild. We see shots of Darkmanians waving their flag and holding signs that's mostly written positively about Darkmania.

The Rainbow Unicorns - "Merry-Go-Round"

Language(s): English, Turkish, Anollasian
Tune: The Powerpuff Girls - Love Makes the World Go Round
Lyrics: Emily Tanaka, Clara Donevski. Aslı Görkem, Naomi Güral
Music: Emily Tanaka, Clara Donevski, Aslı Görkem, Michael Mitchell

Additional Information
National Dish: Yey (bread with tomatoes and cheese on top, cooked in an oven for 30 minutes)
"Welcome" and "Welcome to [NATION]" in your language: "Welcome" & "Welcome to Anollasia" (English)
"Hoşgeldiniz" & "Anolasya'ya hoşgeldiniz" (Turkish)
"Holgome" & "Holgome ato Anolasia" (Anollasian)

The Rainbow Unicorns consist of Aslı Görkem (age 7, vocals), Clara Donevski (age 8, bass), and Emily Tanaka (age 9, guitar). They are accompanied by Michael Mitchell (age 15, drums). They were school friends who each have a great passion for music and having fun. Michael Mitchell is a 15 year old who is a family friend of Emily Tanaka, and was chosen as a session musician for this performance, playing the drums. The Rainbow Unicorns became popular after a video on the Internet of them playing together went viral.

Blue: Aslı Görkem
Green: Clara Donevski
Red: Emily Tanaka
No colour: in unison

The stage is lit as Michael Mitchell starts banging the drums. He gets down an upbeat beat and soon The Rainbow Unicorns join. Clara Donevski joins in with the bass guitar, playing a short solo. After the short snippet of a solo, Emily Tanaka joins in with the electric guitar, as she plays a quick guitar lick. Everyone has a smile on their face, because despite the large audience, they are still having fun. Aslı Görkem starts singing in a high-pitched voice.

One boring day I was so bored, bored as can be
I didn't want to do anything, not even watch TV
But then I went to the theme park, I wasn't even bored
I loved all the rides but my favourite one's so cool
It's the

Aslı and Clara harmonize with Emily during the chorus, while the coloured strobe lights go crazy. A large group of kids rush onto the stage cheering, and the audience cheers in response. The kids dance and have fun on both sides of the stage.

La la la, la la la!
La la la!
It's the merry-go-round!
La la la, la la la!
La la la!
It's the merry-go-round!

The strobe lights turn off after the chorus, leaving only the regular lights. Aslı is back to singing solo, with her band playing in the background.

No more feelings of boredom, they've all washed away
I'm glad I went to the theme park, it was such a fun day
Every ride was wonderful, each a different fun
But you know, the merry-go-round was the very best part

Emily is given the spotlight as she plays a badass guitar solo. The strobe lights are back and are all flashing. Aslı dances and high fives some of the kids onstage. Some glitter is dropped at the end of the guitar solo. The three girls' voice blend harmoniously, with only Michael playing the drums. The kids get together and form a circle and start to spin slowly, gradually increasing speed.

La la la, la la la
La la la
It's the merry-go-round
La la la, la la la
(Seou'll sevove ohe atly-karound)

La la la (Alget hazeady) [yüzbir kere]
It's the merry-go-round (içor ohe eğlun)

Emily and Clara start playing their instruments again, but continue harmonizing with Aslı. The kids are spinning really fast now.

La la la, la la la!
La la la!
It's the merry-go-round!
La la la, la la la!
La la la!
It's the merry-go-round!

As the song ends, the kids fall down and stop spinning. The audience cheers and applauds at the cute and amazing performance. Aslı says "thank you very much" in a very sweet way, to which the audience responds with "awwww". The lights fade and the stage is prepared for the next act.

Rebelz - "Another Day At School"

Language(s): English, Togoni-Maori
Tune: Horrid Henry Theme Tune
Lyrics: Artur Galapago
Music: Efrem Tenekaju

Additional Information
National Dish: Togoni tartar. A very simple raw dish made of minced (raw) elk meat and seasoned with pepper. Usually served with a slice of lemon and a glass of mineral water.
"Welcome" and "Welcome to [NATION]" in your language: ''Maioha.'' ''Tohungia ki te Togoni.''

Backstory:

Rebelz is a new rock band from Togonistan made by schoolmates aged 13-15. The band won a local Togonistani School Band competition, which, among other awards, gave them the right to represent their nation in Junior World Hit Festival.

Rebelz consists of following members:

Image Artur Galapago is a 15-year old Togoni who started singing at the age of 10. He attended his school's music club, but lasted there barely for half a year before leaving because he didn't find it interesting enough. Instead, Artur started his own Youtube channel, where he started singing karaoke. Right now, his channel has about 10 000 subscribers and he is still constantly posting videos of his singing. Artur has learned singing on his own without a professional trainer for the past five years, and a year ago, he and his best friend Efrem decided to start a band.
Image Emma Lapua-Foleti is 13 years old. She has been attending piano lessons for the past six years and has won multiple awards from different multi-school competitions. Emma enjoys playing piano, as she says, it ''makes her forget about everything else and focus only on that one specific thing.'' When Artur and Efrem started a band, they were desperately looking for a keyboardist, when Eric suddenly suggested to talk to Emma. Although she was unsure about joining at first, eventually, Emma decided that it might be interesting to try something different for a change.
Image Efrem Tenekaju is 15 years old. He has been attending guitar lessons in his school since the age of 7. When he was 12 years old, his uncle Gojou Teruatsu, guitarist in a metal band Thunder Brigade, started giving him additional lessons about electric guitar. He learned quickly and although he can play both electric as well as acoustic guitar quite well, he prefers the first option. Efrem was the one who came to and idea of starting a band, so he spoke to his friend Artur about it, who liked the idea. Among other things, Efrem is also the one composing music for the band.
Image Eric Selepulu is 14 years old. His joining was somewhat of a strange decision, considering the fact that, unlike other members, he had never played any instrument before. However, as soon as he heard about his friends starting a band, he wanted to join really badly. Artur and Efrem thought about it for a bit, before deciding that Eric could be a drummer. Although the boys did not think it would work out very well, Eric proved them wrong and learned very quickly.

So far, Rebelz have five songs in their repertoire. While three of them are covers of other famous songs, two of them are their own original compositions. One of the latter, a song titled ''Another Day At School'', is the one they will be performing in JWHF. Idea for a song came from band's leader Artur, who has certain difficulties in his math lessons. One day, he felt really frustrated due to failing a test, so he went home and wrote the lyrics for a song. When he showed his writing to other band members, they thought it would be a nice idea to make it an actual song. So, that's how it went. Efrem took Artur's lyrics and composed the music. Now, they are here, ready to perform it.

Performance:

Band is standing on the stage with their instruments. They're all wearing rather rebellious outfits. Artur is wearing a leather jacket with a lot of piercings and a Rebelz band logo on his back, white T-shirt, black jeans and white sneakers. Emma is wearing a black top, black leggings and black sneakers. Efrem is wearing a black leather jacket, black T-shirt with band's logo on it, blue jeans and white sneakers.. Eric is wearing a white tank top, black jeans and white sneakers. On the front of Eric's drum kit, there is also band's logo.

Rebelz have formed a diamond shape formation on a small island in the middle of the audience. The band starts playing, while camera takes a close-up shot of Artur, who is holding an electric guitar. He starts playing the guitar, although, if a viewer pays attention, they can notice that Artur is actually just pretending to play, while the only guitar actually being played is the one that belongs to Efrem, who (from the viewer's point of view) is standing on the right side of the diamond formation. Artur opens his mouth and starts singing:

It's not easy being there,
Crack them books and wait for break,
Nah nah nah, its just not fair!
I'm stuck at school.

Camera shows a high view of the stage, and viewers can see that the led screen floor is also showing their band's logo. Then, the camera rotates around the stage, passing every band members. They all flirt with the camera a bit as it passes, until it reaches Eric at the back, who puts his tongue out and does a goofy face.

Sit like a fool!
With my crew!
and when at class I have to sit,
Then I feel I'm gonna tilt!
I'm going crazy.

Camera shows a quick shot of Efrem and Emma, who are acting as backing singers for Artur. Then, camera shows a Artur again, who is looking at the camera and is doing a little eyebrow movement.

Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, ney,
the long math lesson's not okay!
it's not easy being there, I'm going crazy.

Camera takes a quick shot into the crowd and shows two young male fans with Togonistan's flag. One of them notices a camera filming them and puts his thumb up while smiling. Then, camera shows a close shot of Artur, who is tilting his head a bit and is flirting with camera.

Nah, nah, nah, it's not Fair!
nah, nah, ney, i just don't care,
or do i feel lame, for being lazy,
cuz im going crazy.

Camera rotates around the stage again and shows a quick shot of Efrem and Emma as they sing their lines, before approaching Artur from the back and eventually showing his face.

No, its not easy being there,
Hurry up! (Efrem)
You're late to the class! (Emma)
Nag, nag, nag, its so not fair, i'm going crazy!

Artur does a quick eyebrow movement and smiles before stepping away and switching positions with Efrem, who steps forward and starts his guitar solo. Smoke machines start doing their job and cover the stage in smoke from both sides, hiding rest of the band members into cloud until Efrem finishes his guitar solo.

Artur switches places with Efrem again and steps towards the microphone to sing the fast part of the song in Togoni-Maori. He is holding the microphone with both of his hands, while his guitar is just hanging attached to his body. Smoke cloud starts fading out and by the time Artur is halfway done with his verse, it has faded out completely.

He maha nga mea e kore au e pai!
Pāngarau, akoranga e kore ahau e pai
waiat waiat waiat noa mo te ngahau,
noho tika ana, haere na ki palau,
e waiata ana i roto i te puoro,
he ataahua te akomanga tuoro
Nga mahi whare, mahi kura,
ehara i te mea tika, fuka kura

Suddenly, camera shows a high view of the stage from a distance and lights in the ceiling do four quick flashes after a certain period of time.

Cuz, when im furious i don't care!
I skip my class cuz it's not fair!
When at home, they wrangle at me, I'm going crazy!

Camera does a quick shot into the crowd, before closing up on Artur again, who is pretending to play the guitar again.

No it's not easy being me,
i dunno why they can not see,
just how hard it is to be.
I'm going crazy.

Camera shows close-ups of every band member. Efrem is looking deep into the camera and smiles while playing his guitar, Emma notices the camera and blushes a bit, before turning her eyes to the keyboard. Eric is very concentrated on his drummer duties, until he notices the camera in front of him. He does another goofy face, before camera shows Artur again.

Sit like a fool!
With my crew!
and when at class I have to sit,
Then I feel I'm gonna tilt!
I'm going crazy.

Artur is looking deeply into the camera and is nodding his head while singing.

Sit in my school!
With my crew!
and when at class I have to sit,
Then I feel I'm gonna tilt!
I'm going crazy.

Camera takes another high view at the stage, while the band is performing final part of their song.

Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, ney,
the long math lesson's not okay!
it's not easy being there, I'm going crazy.

Band stops playing and Artur puts his right fist up into the sky. Camera shows Efrem and Emma, who are both smiling and looking at each other from the corner of their eye, before turning to Eric, who has stood up on top of his chair. Eric takes a small battle horn out of his pocket and blows into it, ending the song with a rather questionable note.

Rebelz start laughing and wave to the crowd, before leaving the stage.

Gemma Anderson, a 12 years old girl, is a singer from Dromvarld, Amouraland. She is notably known as the winner of Lilla Idol season 3. Her self-made song, "Lönterne" is really special to her because she made it for her father who died shortly after she won Lilla Idol because of cancer.

She will perform alone with a beautiful white dress.. Her staging is quite simple. She will perform on a boat and the background will be beautiful sea at the night with a big moon. She brings a lantern next to her.

The song starts...

Ivön win I alöne
I nöe thou you helj
Lo lönterne thou you stinje
Keptö wirm alt dale time

On th raetjing söi
Moi böatte kipt sailling tö you
Tot I willle nevekt filt alöne
Lo lönterne tö alwaisjk
Bilöiv...

Ivön win I alöne
I nöe thou you helj
Lo lönterne thou you stinje
Keptö wirm alt dale time

On th raetjing söi
Moi böatte kipt sailling tö you
Tot I willle nevekt filt alöne
Lo lönterne tö alwaisjk
Bilöiv...

Sound of thunder is heard and seen at the background. Suddenly a lantern, that is next to her, lights up.

Even when I'm alone,
I know that you're near to me
The lantern that you shine
Keeps me warm all the time

On the raging blue sea,
My boat keeps sailing to you
But I will never feel alone
The lantern tells me to always
Believe...

She stops singing, then she reads a poem to the audience while the music is still on. The lantern then flies away, but not so far because it is tied to the boat.

That you will come to me, Dad.
But don't worry,
The boat and the lantern will guide me to you
So we can build a new world
Full of rainbows
Together

She cries at the end, then say "Merci. Tack. Thank you everyone."

Laila Phiona is the third Briton who is representing Britonisea at the World Hit Festival, and she is hoping to become the first Briton to win the contest. Laila was picked through a national final called, "Vha Mehlodhivestoile Euvenoures 2017" which saw ten acts, children, battle to become the next World Hit act. Laila was up against stiff competition as it was expected for Reighelle Scott and Newskout to do as well as her come the final. However, in the end, this wasn't the case. Laila Phiona scored a great 55 points, which was many points in the lead, and therefore gave her a very comfortable lead. Laila Phiona said, "I am so happy to represent my country, Britonisea! I am looking forward to going to... Mercedini... And experiencing their culture and their people!"

BVC, who stated they weren't going to come back to the World Hit Festival's Junior competition after the third edition, said that they are happy they put on a little show to pick the next person to represent the country, and due to the large amount of people who watch the World Hit Festival, it seemed like the right thing to do. It has been reconfirmed that BVC will broadcast the competition on BVC 2, which receives, on average, 10-15% of the market share, placing it in the top five for most watched television shows.

The song "What Does Heartbroken Feel Like" is Laila trying to explain to us that she doesn't understand the term, and what it means to have your heart broken. She explains in the song that she understands that she is young, and won't feel what these heartbroken adults are feeling, but what she doesn't understand is why, why do people get heartbroken? She shows that she is intelligent and bright, but also inquisitive.

On the stage, she isn't wearing anything too fancy, but just a long black and white dress that is long-flowing. The dress is like a mini version of Mello Cinde's WV57 dress, but the colours aren't distorted, they stand dignified and edgy. She was nervous. Laila saw all of these people, but all she could do is close her eyes and imagine she was in her bedroom, imagine she was singing to her parents, whom she adored or even her siblings. She did close her eyes, she took a breath and then she heard the rumble of the audience and the lights focusing on her. It was her moment to begin, and with that fact, she opened her eyes slowly as the piano came in almost immediately.

I know I'm young, but something has been nagging me all day,
And I am not sure why, but I am hoping that you'd shed some light on this.
Why is it that when I watch the TV - those girls cry when their boys get up and leave,
They're left heartbroken, they look like their lost, but I don't understand.

From a single beaming light point at her, as she started to sing more, other lights started to beam beside her. Under each of the lights was a girl and they were all in a very emotional state, one crying, one in disbelief etc - but they all stood in a tableaux. The camera slowly moved outwards everytime a beam came on to the next person. At the end of all of them turning on, it was five of them on the stage - with Laila Phiona being the girl in the middle.

The song changed a bit as we went in to the pre-chorus, and the girls who were in a tableaux helped the audience notice this by moving themselves to mirror Laila. As she sang "heartbroken", she would put her hand on her heart, and like a cannon, the others would do it too.

And I have never had my heart broken, I am not sure how it feels.
Could you tell me that it's something I won't ever feel.
As being heartbroken looks painful, looks like the end to life.
I know it's something that won't kill you, yet your happiness does die...

I'm so scared if that is what will happen to me,
I know I should not yet worry.
I am inquisitive.
I would to like know,
What heartbroken feels like.

During the chorus, it was a time when she was starting to realise. A steadicam came from the corner of the stage and slowly crept closer to Laila, but she wasn't looking at the camera at all, and rather the audience where she was standing. Everyone in the arena was silent as she finished singing the chorus to this mystical song - but it took another turn. The stage turned from just black with a white spotlights to hints of purple.

I'd need to stay strong,
Oh, I'm not ready - to have my heart broken.
Oh, I need to know....!

The steadicam then circled around Laila Phiona, exposing the magnitude of the amount of people within the host arena of the 4th World Hit Festival in Zoloroni. People had their phones out, waving their LED torches at Laila Phiona which created a somewhat inter-galactic image plastered on the screens of those who are watching the contest from the comfort of their living rooms. This spurred Laila on as well, seeing such a beautiful sight.

But as this final bit came up, she closed her eyes and belted out the last bit of the bridge, which made some people in the audience cheer for her. The steadicam guy slowly waddled off the stage as another shot compensated for that - it was of a woman and man crying, with their hands holding each others - her mother and father.

The chorus then came in, and with one mighty bang! Indoor fireworks had shot in to the air, while "the gold waterfall" flowed from behind the girl. The purple on the screens soon faded to gold and the viewer could see this if they were watching on TV due to the camera zooming right outwards.

As being heartbroken looks painful, looks like the end to life.
I know it's something that won't kill you, yet your happiness does die...

I'm so scared if that is what will happen to me,
I know I should not yet worry.
I am inquisitive.
I would to like know,
What heartbroken feels like.

Everything slowly turned off and a single camera focused on her, standing in the spotlight amongst the dark large hall. She sang the final line before smiling shyly;

What does it feel like?

Everyone gave her a cheer, especially her mother and father who cried out her name, "Thank you so much, Thank you!" she ran off the stage, happy and thrilled with her performance.

Elenola Anahira & Abigail Apikaira

Elenola Anahira is a 15-year old child actress and hobby musician from Togonistan. She has played in a few movies as well as been part of a youth model agency. Few months ago, she made a song titled ''Hiahia Ki Te Kanikani'' with her schoolmates Abigail and Karlos. When they uploaded it to Youtube, the song got over million views during first two weeks.

Abigail Apikaira is a 15-year old schoolgirl. She was born in Cleaca, but currently studies and resides in Togonistan. After their song got famous, it also got noticed by a local Cleacan radio broadcaster, who took contact with Abigail and offered them a chance to send their song to CBC (Cleacan Broadcasting Corporation). After she discussed it with Elenola, they decided to go ahead and see what happens. The folks at CBC also liked the song, and even though they hadn't planned to participate in JWHF at first, they decided it wouldn't be a bad idea to offer the girls a chance to represent Cleaca.

Their song ''Hiahia Ki Te Kanikani'' is a cheerful party song about dancing. Lyrics were written by Elenola Anahira, and music was made by Elenola's classmate Karlos Foleti, who claims that making the tune in his computer took him less than a hour.

Performance:
Red text - sung by Elenola
Blue text - sung by Abigail
Green text - sung by both of the girls at the same time

Stage is pitch black as the music starts playing.

Oo-Hoo
Yee-yee-yee-ee

As the music gets to 0:16 mark, stage eventually lights up. Elenola and Abigail, who are wearing crazy-looking Hatsune Miku-ish outfits can be seen jumping around on the stage. Both of the girls have a little microphone attached to their headset. At the background, led screens are showing a colorful video. On the stage, there are some disco lights flashing aswell. When it's time to sing, girls stop jumping around and Elenola points her finger at the crowd while moving her hips, singing at the same time.

Hiahia ki te kanikani
Hiahia ki te kanikani
Whai ahau
Kia kanikani tahi

I want to be a dancer
I want to be a dancer
Follow me
Let's dance together

Girls put their backs against each other and camera shows a close-up shot of them while Abigail is singing, ending her line with a little wink.

Haere mai hei hoa mokua
Wareware ki te katoa
Whai ahau
Kia kanikani tahi

Come and be my friend
Forget about everyone else
Follow me
Let's dance together

Oh-la-la

Girls start jumping around on the stage again and both of them make their way to the either side of the stage. They start moving on the catwalks with their jumpy movement. Camera is rotating, showing both of them every once in a while as well as taking a few shots at the audience.

Kanikani
Ao katoa te po
Kanikani
Hui tahi aku hoa
Kanikani
Nekehia to tinani
Kanikani
Kia kanikani tahi

Dance
All day and night
Dance
Together my friends
Dance
Move your body
Dance
Let's dance together

Girls keep on jumping around, eventually making their way to the small island in front.

Oo-oo-oa-oa
Oo-oo-oa-oa-a
Oo-oo-oa-oa
Oo-oo-oa-oa-a

Girls have reached to the island and lean forward while singing and moving their knees a bit at the same time.

Hiahia ki te kanikani
Hiahia ki te kanikani
Whai ahau
Kia kanikani tahi

I want to be a dancer
I want to be a dancer
Follow me
Let's dance together

Girls stand next to each other and both of them show a quick ''victory sign'' with their fingers.

Oh-wa-ohwa-ah

Girls start walking at the edge of the island and give a few claps to some happy fans in the audience pit. At the same time, their never stop at least somewhat moving their body to the rhythm of the music.

Tangohia toku ringa-a-a
Tatou ka haere ka koa
Whai ahau
Kia kanikani tahi

Take my hand
Let's go and have some fun
Follow me
Let's dance together

Girls turn around and start making their way back to the big stage. Elenola is jumping around on one catwalk, while Abigail is on the other one.

Haere mai
Kanikani
Ao katoa te po
Kanikani
Hui tahi aku hoa
Kanikani
Nekehia to tinani
Kanikani
Kia kanikani tahi

Come and
Dance
All day and night
Dance
Together my friends
Dance
Move your body
Dance
Let's dance together

During a instrumental part, they keep jumping around, but eventually make their way back to the big stage. When it's time to sing again, their put their backs together and bend their knees a bit.

Kanikani
Ao katoa te po
Kanikani
Hui tahi aku hoa
Kanikani
Nekehia to tinani
Kanikani
Kia kanikani tahi

Dance
All day and night
Dance
Together my friends
Dance
Move your body
Dance
Let's dance together

Girls start jumping around and dancing a strange dance.

Oo-oo-oa-oa
Oo-oo-oa-oa-a
Oo-oo-oa-oa
Oo-oo-oa-oa-a

Girls jump around a bit more and constantly point their fingers both at audience as well as a camera.

Haere mai
Kanikani
Ao katoa te po
Kanikani
Hui tahi aku hoa
Kanikani
Nekehia to tinani
Kanikani
Kia kanikani tahi

Come and
Dance
All day and night
Dance
Together my friends
Dance
Move your body
Dance
Let's dance together

For the last verse, they stand next to each other again and lean their bodies from one way to other.

Kanikani
Ao katoa te po
Kanikani
Hui tahi aku hoa
Kanikani
Nekehia to tinani
Kanikani
Kia kanikani tahi

Dance
All day and night
Dance
Together my friends
Dance
Move your body
Dance
Let's dance together

As the song ends, Elenola and Abigail cover their mouth with a hand and start jumping around. An expression of happiness and joy can be seen on their faces as they scream a big ''Thank you!'' to the audience before leaving.

Elia Vinci - "Lullaby"

Language(s): Mercedinian & English
Tune: Jonas Blue ft. William Singe - Mama
Lyrics: E. Vinci, C. Salvatore
Music: E. Vinci, M. Dommazoni, F. Gabrinelli

Additional Information
National Dish: Dini-dini. It consists of sliced smoked salmon typically served either on it's own or with 'Salerbe', which is a creamy sauce of dill, rosemary, thyme, salt, lemon juice, lime juice, and a super-secret "39 Seasoning Salute" whose composition is a national secret and highly classified.
"Welcome" and "Welcome to [NATION]" in your language: ''Benvenuto'' and ''Benvenuto a Mercedini''

Image
It's been a long time coming, but the Junior World Hit Festival has finally made a return, but this time it's coming from our capital of Zoloroni, meaning who ever sings for us has plenty of support coming from the crowd. After Meia Dobrani gave Mercedini a debut bronze medal back in Fauligekaikobu, ENM have chose young singer songwriter Elia Vinci to represent his nation on home soil, hoping he can go one better than Meia in the 4th edition of the Junior World Hit Festival

With the MRC.CUBE the host venue for the contest, Elia will hope to get the performance right on the night to complete a WHF double for the nation following M'folo Asante's victory in Gralicna. He will sing 'Lullaby' an up-tempo dance song which was originally set to be performed as an acoustic song, before ENM drafted in Rhythm DMZ's Mateo Dommazoni and song contest legend Francisco Gabrinelli to give the song it's pop-dance flavour which will be sung at the contest. Can Elia win on home turf? We will see when he performs live at the final in Zoloroni.

The crowd cheer wildly as the Mercedinian postcard draws to a close, meaning the song's commencement is only seconds away. The first notes of the song chime around the stadium which only makes the crowd grow louder as they will their lad on to give a good performance. The LED screens project a starry night, much light the contest logo background, which bathes the stage in a deep blue with specs of white shining through. A silver crescent moon sits in the centre of the stage, with Elia sitting down on it, facing the audience. As the intro carries on, the central camera in the arena moves forward at a steady and consistent pace. As the vocals kick in, the camera changes to a shot of Elia as he looks into it to start the song.

La bella notte
Le stelle brillano per illuminare il mio mondo
Ma quando riposo
Il peso del mondo sollevato da me
Vado da solo per esplorare la mia mente
Quindi cantami via

(the beautiful night)
(the stars shine to light up my world)
(but even when I rest)
(the weight of the world is lifted from me)
(I go on my own to explore my mind)
(so sing me away)

He climbs down from the silver crescent moon and onto the stage floor where he walks forward to the front of the stage. He cracks a smile as he is singing thanks to the home crowd clapping along to the now familiar song within his nation, but he carries on singing to the camera as white streaks of light fly across the LED screen, simulating shooting stars. The beat of the drums being to kick in more at this point, with the more frequent streaks of light on the LED screen combined with the flashing white lights around the stage building the intensity of the song before the music stops, the lights fade out and the camera zooms in on Elia's face to say the last couple of words before the main chorus.

La luna e le stelle si scontrano d’uno
Metti tutte le mie preoccupazioni dietro
Tira le coperte, disegna le tende e dormirò
L'unica cosa che voglio
Quella dolce canzone

(the moon and the start collide as one)
(put all life’s worries behind me)
(pull the covers, draw the curtains and ill go)
(the only thing I want)
(is that sweet song)

As the song moves from Mercedinian into English, a teenage girl moves into view wearing a white flowing dress and performing a delicate and flowing routine around the stage floor as Elia continues to sing in the foreground. A couple of backing singers accompany Elia with the vocals, but aren't visible on stage. Beams of light stay static and shine onto the stage floor and the front portion of the audience. The piano chords kick in as the song begins to build in intensity for a second time in the song. With the central camera capturing perfectly the amount of Mercedinian flags which are being waved in the front portion of the audience. For the final couple of lines, the camera flies backwards, encompassing the entire arena within it's shot, before the beat drops and the music kicks in.

Hey, papi, gonna rest my eyes
Sing me your lullaby
Hey, papi, can’t sleep without my
Lullaby
In my mind, thoughts have fallen as the day turns to night
So sing me your lullaby
Just sing me your lullaby

The camera begins from the back of the arena and sweeps forward to the front, making it to the front at the lights move around the stage and Elia points to the camera as it sweeps round. The stars on the LED flicker even more, but are more sensitive compared to the white beams of light around the arena. The girl twirling around the stage stops to the side of the main vocalist as he sings to the girl, they lock eyes as Elia's glisten as the lights hit them. They both part ways as the girl twirls off camera while Elia walks to front and sings into the central camera, zoomed in to see his face and body.

Lulla, lulla, lulla, yeah
Sing me your lullaby
Lulla, lulla, lulla, yeah
Sing me your lullaby

The song returns to normal as the white lights recede to leave just the stage bathed in a deep navy blue night sky. The camera moves up onto the stage as Elia steps back to make space in front on himself for the camera to go. He sings into the camera as he sings while jigging to the beat of the song, the audience in the background are clapping along once again. There is a slight change to the music with the LEDs reflecting, flickering to a reverse image of the former night sky, meaning it flickers to a white night with black stars.

La bella notte
Mi riempie la testa di meraviglia
E alla fine
Vado via nell'abisso di mezzanotte
Bene, ma prometti che sarai al mio fianco
Stai vicino, caro
(the beautiful night)
(it fills my head with wonder)
(and at the end)
(I float away into the midnight abyss)
(okay, but promise me you'll be by my side)
(stay close, my dear)

The girl returns as she twirls back onto the stage as Elia walks back to meet her to spin and hold her while they elegantly dance across the stage. The home crowd begins to cheer as the performers immerse themselves into the song. The drumbeat kicks in as the girl spins furiously around Elia has he sings. White lights zip across the arena as the camera moved in from the audience, capturing the waving flags and the bouncing of the audience. Elia walks to the side of the stage as the verse ends.

La luna e le stelle si scontrano d’uno
Metti tutte le mie preoccupazioni dietro
Tira le coperte, disegna le tende e dormirò
L'unica cosa che voglio
Quella dolce canzone

(the moon and the start collide as one)
(put all life’s worries behind me)
(pull the covers, draw the curtains and ill go)
(the only thing I want)
(is that sweet song)

As the lead chorus approaches, Elia walks down the steps to make his way onto the long runway while singing. The length of the runway means it takes him the entirety of the verse to get to end and the diamond island at the other end. As he walks past the audience, they wave their flags and offer their hand which Elia accepts, crouching down as he walks to hi-five the audience before making it to the end and singing into the central camera

Hey, papi, gonna rest my eyes
Sing me your lullaby
Hey, papi, can’t sleep without my
Lullaby
In my mind, thoughts have fallen as the day turns to night
So sing me your lullaby
Just sing me your lullaby

When Elia makes it to the connected island, the beat kicks in and the song increase in tempo, whipping the home crowd into a bit of frenzy. The lights zipped around the arena for one final time. The central camera zoomed in on Elia before changing to an axel shot where camera sweeped in before moving away to the side of the main performer. The camera moves upon to the island and orbits round Elia before moving away to leave Elia all alone on the stage with only the flickering of the LED floor of the island.

Hey, papi, gonna rest my eyes
Sing me your lullaby
Hey, papi, can’t sleep without my
Lullaby
In my mind, thoughts have fallen as the day turns to night
So sing me your lullaby
Just sing me your lullaby

The white lights return, but golden confetti is sprayed into the air and rains down onto the island and the surrounding audience. The central camera manages to capture Elia singing into it with the confetti somewhat obscuring its view. The audience are waving their flags to the tune of the song as Elia makes his final moves on the island. He puts his arm into the air to finish the performance, to raptures from the Mercedinian performances.

Lulla, lulla, lulla, yeah
Sing me your lullaby
Lulla, lulla, lulla, yeah
Sing me your lullaby

The crowd are on their feet for their representative as he takes a bow and blows kisses to the crowd as he smiles to thank the audience. "Grazij Mercedini, andiamo!", the crowd is chanting his name as he waves to the upper stands before walking back across the runway to make way for the next act. A transition is made before the postcard appears for the next nation.

William and The Band - "Right Beside Me"

Language(s): English
Tune: Dexy's Midnight Runners - Come On | Alternative Link
Lyrics: William
Music: The Band

Additional Information
National Dish: Called "Lobystag on salade", this dish is the meat of a lobster, which is grilled with barbecue marinade over it and then mixed with cooked spinach, onions, tomato and herbs & spices. Usually served in a toasted tiger roll (as a sandwich) or as a dinner, it is served alongside macaroni cheese (or in cheesy pasta). "Lobystag on salade" means "Lobster in Salad"
"Welcome" and "Welcome to [NATION]" in your language: "Wilkum" and "Wilkum ti Rwhitton"

From the capital of Estogium, Darlington, William and The Band are a group of 12-14 year olds hoping to do well at the contest. The youngest member of the band, who is William (12) will be leading the song - what a brave lad he is. The other band members are from 13 years old to 14, and play a wide range of instruments; with one of them being the banjo! The last time Estogium participated in the Junior World Hit Festival, luck wasn't on their side, but these boys are hoping that this time, they can send Estogium up that scoreboard; a rarity these days.

William and The Band arrived in Zoloroni a few days ago to practise, with William saying that he is nervous to perform in front of many people, but he is very excited and happy he has this opportunity. RVC said that as a treat, they will go and watch the NSTT Finals and watch a match or two before flying back to Darlington.

The Mercedinian crowd cheered loudly for William and The Band as they took the stage. They were singing quite a different kind of song to the rest of the groups and soloists here. They were singing quite a novelty sounding song, and they were going to make sure that they had fun singing it. The lights went down on them and the introduction begun. They were placed right in the middle of the arena, on that large bit that comes out. The introduction was quite long though, and so the camera captured William dancing carelessly with his friends. The vocals begun to start, but it was simply those playing the instruments, but as his both got closer, William walked right in to the middle of the part of the stage he was on.

(Right beside me!)
(Right beside me!)
Sipping hot coco,
Sitting right by the fire at night, we're watching the beautiful snow fall.
The cold harsh wind, didn't bother us at all.

Arms in arms (Arms in arms!)
So warm (We're so warm!)
Well, I have to confess something... (Confess something!)
Oh-I, Oh-I, Oh-I, Oh-I care! About you so much, I can't explain!

The previous verse was full of the camera staying still, watching as William sang deeply in to the microphone. On the LED, which we may just add was placed far in into the background and so, no appearing as big as it is, was a recreation of what was spoken about. The setting was in a cabin by the fire. However, as William started to confess something, he camera slowly zoomed out, and yellow-goldish lights filled the whole arena.

(Right beside me!) I want you,
(Beside me!) Oh I love you, don't ever leave me!
(I can't take my eyes...) Off you!
(You're perfect) So, please can you...
Stay right beside me!

The Band started to get involved during the chorus, as they started to sing the bits before William would come in, almost singing over them but sounding just alright.

After this, there was another little instrumental break, and William then went back to his group of friends and started dancing along with them. A steadicam followed William on the stage as he walked up and down it. The Estogian looked as though he was really taking advantage of this instrumental time he had, dancing and prancing around the stage. But, he had his next bit coming on, and so he did get ready for that. Standing next to the banjo player, or whatever that instrument was, he sang in to the steadicam on the stage which was infront of him and the banjo player.

Once in a blue moon, I start to think about you,
I think that I want you.
So could you please, stay right beside me!

Arms in arms (Arms in arms!)
So warm (We're so warm!)
Well, I have to confess something... (Confess something!)
Oh-I, Oh-I, Oh-I, Oh-I care! About you so much, I can't explain!

(Right beside me!) I want you,
(Beside me!) Oh I love you, don't ever leave me!
(I can't take my eyes...) Off you!
(You're perfect) So, please can you...
Stay right beside me!

(I can't take my eyes...) Off you!
(You're perfect) So, please can you...
Stay right beside me!

The music suddenly changes here, and so does the staging. William went to the edge of the stage and started to sing right up in the faces of some of Junior World Hit Festival fans. They started to sing along with him - how cute.

(Oh I, Oh I Oh I... I care)
(Oh I, Oh I Oh I... I care) Right beside me, stay right here with me.
(Oh I, Oh I Oh I... I care)
(Oh I, Oh I Oh I... I care)
Oh I, Oh I Oh I... I care

Oh-I, Oh-I, Oh-I, Oh-I care!

Suddenly as the music started to gear up again, a large Estogian flag dropped from the lighting rigs at the top of the stage, covering the LED wall. The decision for why they chose the flag to be draped across the arena is something you would have to ask RVC officials, but it certainly added to the patriotic flare nations should have when they represent their national country.

(Right beside me!) I want you,
(Beside me!) Oh I love you, don't ever leave me!
(I can't take my eyes...) Off you!
(You're perfect) So, please can you...
Stay right beside me!

(Right beside me!) I want you,
(Beside me!) Oh I love you, don't ever leave me!
(I can't take my eyes...) Off you!
(You're perfect) So, please can you...
Stay right beside me!

The music soon faded out and the crowd started applauding then for it. "Merci teis, thank you, Mercedini!" William thanked the audience before the band all did a salute and bowed, ready for yhe next proceedings on the wonderful stage.

Hopefully they can do better than the last Senior and Junior World Hit Festival.

Kalmarlund
Björn Gunnarsson & Erik Blomgren - "Superserien"

Title Translation: Premier League
Language(s): English, Swedish
Tune: Poju - ''Poika Saunoo''
Lyrics: Björn Gunnarsson, Erik Blomgren
Music: Anton Bergensen

Additional Information
National Dish: Surströmming, a type of fermented herring. During production of surströmming, just enough salt is used to prevent the raw herring from rotting. A fermentation process of at least six months gives the fish a characteristic strong smell and somewhat acidic taste.
"Welcome" and "Welcome to [NATION]" in your language: Wälkommen. Wälkommen till Kalmarlund.

Backstory:

For the past few months, Kalmarluntija Television has seen a decline in their viewing numbers, especially regarding the younger audience. With this in mind, they came to an idea of buying rights for broadcasting JWHF. Once they were done with that, all they needed was to find someone represent them.

Eventually, KT decided to make an offer to Björn & Erik, a junior pop-rap duo topping the local radio and Youtube charts. KT gave them free hands to do their performance how they want to, as their goal is not really winning but just trying to bring their young viewers back.

Image
Björn Gunnarsson and Erik Blomgren

Björn and Erik are Kalmarlundian child stars and very popular at their home nation. For JWHF, they wrote an all-new song titled ''Superserien'', named after the second highest level of Kalmarlundian football league. Their explanation for the somewhat odd choice was like this: ''We take JWHF as our own little Superserien. We participate against a lot of WHF veteran nations here, but still, it's Junior WHF, so it's not Elitserien. It's Superserien.''

Björn and Erik dedicate their song to their fans back home who are watching the competition on TV.

Performance:

Björn and Erik are on the stage, wearing yellow football jerseys with their names written on their backs. Besides that, they are also wearing blue jeans and white sneakers. Erik is also wearing a black tilted cap. As the music starts playing, they put their hands up and start clapping them while moving forward. Suddenly, when it's time to sing, they jump into the air and start moving around on stage, jumping up and down.

Now come and join us
Dance, sing and just go crazy
Waving the flag for you
This is our Superserien

Now come and join us
Get up and don't be lazy
We need you too
This is our Superserien

Björn bends his knees a bit and starts walking around the stage while rapping, holding microphone with one hand and doing some gestures with another hand. Meanwhile, Erik is just standing there and moving his hands from left to right.

Säg nu och skrik som kreisi
Hela vägen från Zoloroni till Fågelby
Känn trycket här, känna passion här
Representerar vår nation ikväll här

Now chant and scream like crazy
All the way from Zoloroni to Fågelby
Feel the pressure here, feel the passion here
Representing our nation tonight in here

When it's Erik's turn to rap, he raises his left arm up and starts walking forward. Camera takes a close-up shot of him and Erik starts throwing some hand sings at the camera.

Nu är det dags att höja upp händerna
Ringer alla, hej vad händer?
Writing our names in books of history
Performing tonight here for yours truly

Now time to raise your hands up
Calling everyone, hey what's up?
Writing our names in books of history
Performing tonight here for yours truly

Boys start jumping up and down again whole throwing up some random hand signs every once in a while.

Now come and join us
Dance, sing and just go crazy
Waving the flag for you
This is our Superserien

Now come and join us
Get up and don't be lazy
We need you too
This is our Superserien

Björn bends his knees again and starts rapping.

Gå med, vakna och kom här
Gå med oss och känna värmen här
Kom dansa med mig, kom och sjunga med mig
Se till att Kalmarlund är här med mig

Join us, wake up and come here
Join us and feel the heat here
Come dance with me, come sing with me
Making sure Kalmarlund is here with me

Camera turns to Erik, who also bends his knees and walks around while rapping and throwing up some hand signs.

Nu är det dags att höja upp händerna
Ringer alla, hej vad händer?
Writing our names in books of history
Performing tonight here for yours truly

Now time to raise your hands up
Calling everyone, hey what's up?
Writing our names in books of history
Performing tonight here for yours truly

Boys start jumping around on the stage, bending down every once in a while and giving a few hand claps to the audience.

Now come and join us
Dance, sing and just go crazy
Waving the flag for you
This is our Superserien

Now come and join us
Get up and don't be lazy
We need you too
This is our Superserien

Now come and join us
Dance, sing and just go crazy
Waving the flag for you
This is our Superserien

Now come and join us
Get up and don't be lazy
We need you too
This is our Superserien

Boys start moving towards each other, but suddenly make a sharp turn and now towards the camera instead.

Vår Superserien
Vår Superserien
Detta är vår Superserien
Vår Superserien
Vi trycker på barriären
Detta är vår Superserien

Our Superserien
Our Superserien
This is our Superserien
Our Superserien
We push the barrier
This is our Superserien

Boys turn around, run a few meters and do a frontflip, before turning around again to sing the final part of their song.

Now come and join us
Dance, sing and just go crazy
Waving the flag for you
This is our Superserien

Now come and join us
Get up and don't be lazy
We need you too
This is our Superserien

Now come and join us
Dance, sing and just go crazy
Waving the flag for you
This is our Superserien

Now come and join us
Get up and don't be lazy
We need you too
This is our Superserien

When the song ends, Björn and Erik receive an applause from the audience. Björn shouts ''Tack så mycket'' to the microphone and Erik throws up another hand sign before they're both leaving the stage.

Kalosia
Maria Kaľari - "Moji Amiki"

Title Translation: My Friends
Language(s): Kalosian
Tune: Fuaito!! — Mana Ashida
Lyrics: Maria Kaľari, Andreu Roši
Music: Natalia Ǧenovesë, Maria Kaľari, Stefan Taher

Additional Information
National Dish: Krostini Marinari isn't really a national dish but popular in coastal cities and fishing villages, and a popular bar snack too. It's essentially a Kalosian variant of what is known as a shrimp/seafood bruschetta.
"Welcome" and "Welcome to Kalosia" in your language: Benvenitu, Benvenitu a Kalosia

Maria Kaľari is an 11 year old girl from Monterra, the capital of Kalosia, and has been chosen to represent the nation at the 4th Junior World Hit Festival. The selection method was similar to that of the 3rd JWHF, in which an online poll was held. There was no drama this time — Maria won with wide support (as opposed to the JWHF3 poll, which had the winner narrowly beating a famous child singer).

The song, Moji Amiki, was written by Maria herself. One of her schoolmates, Andreu Roši helped her with the lyrics, and she wrote the song with the help of her music teacher, Natalia Ǧenovesë, and was later mixed in the studio with the help of professional songwriter Stefan Taher.

Maria, her parents, and the delegation were flown to Zoloroni for the competition. Her friend Andreu and teacher Natalia both declined offers to come. Maria brought with her a nice dress specifically bought for the occasion, which she will wear for the performance.

As the song started, the background showed rather cartoonish scenery, a sunny landscape. Maria ran onto the stage followed by some dancers (all girls around her age). They became scattered throughout the stage and as Maria started singing they all performed choreography which was mostly rather simple and similar (i.e. it wasn't complex and everyone mostly did similar moves).

Tudi li žorni
U la matinë
Ja seľu e sentu moltu ešitatu
E ja prepu mi
Per le žornu perše voľu averë un aspetu belu

Arivu ala skolë
E non san tardu
Ja dišu bonžornu a moji ustadi
Bonžornu a voj
Hoj impreremu kalkëkosë novu
E enkontru moji amiki

Or lo es lë dodež ore e ja manǧu
Dopu së, ja ǧoku fori
Kon persone kë rendonu me feliž

All of Maria's friends gather around her, all still facing the audience. Now they all do the same synchronized moves together.

Moji amiki
Moji amiki
Kadë ja san kon voj ja sentu moltu fun, fun, fun
Voľu ǧokarë e kantarë e baľarë insemë
Tudo kon voi

In the last line of the next part, the children all hold out fingers in sync with the counting.
Moji amiki
Moji amiki
U žorni moji, voj sitë komë sun, sun, sun
Giudël toji oki e kontal le stele kon me:
One, two, three, four, five!

The dancers scatter around the stage again, and do some more dance moves, most of them the same with each other.

Tudi li žorni
Ul pomërižu
Ja tornu e sentu ja moltu stanku
E ja desidu
Kë pošemu dormirë se solu per tre minuti

Ja impru ankorë
E ja skrivu pju
Do moji kompiti a moji ustadi
E mi danu pju
Hoj impreremu kalkëkosë ankorë
Ma ja provu restarë fortë

Or lo es lë tre ore e ja lašu
A la kazë ja diro mama
Di tudo le ešperenzë a la skolë

The children walk toward Maria (but don't become as close as earlier) and repeat the dance moves from the previous chorus.

Moji amiki
Moji amiki
Kadë ja san kon voj ja sentu moltu fun, fun, fun
Voľu ǧokarë e kantarë e baľarë insemë
Tudo kon voi

Moji amiki
Moji amiki
U žorni moji, voj sitë komë sun, sun, sun
Giudël toji oki e kontal le stele kon me:
One, two, three, four, five!

In this next part, the camera focuses mostly on Maria. The stage lights get somewhat darker.
Si, a le vacanze
Ja godu il sol, il mar e ventu
Ma ja manku loru
Ja voľu ǧokarë kon moji amiki

On the screen, the words to the first line of the next part appear on the screen as they are being sung, and then the lights are well on again. The girls all form a neat line facing the audience, with Maria in the middle and the girls to her left and right. They are all doing the exact same dance moves, particularly the ones from the chorus.

Moji amiki
Moji amiki
Kadë ja san kon voj ja sentu moltu fun, fun, fun
Voľu ǧokarë e kantarë e baľarë insemë
Tudo kon voi

Moji amiki
Moji amiki
U žorni moji, voj sitë komë sun, sun, sun
Giudël toji oki e kontal le stele kon me:
One, two, three, four, five!

The girls do some more choreography before doing the powerful moves that come with the end of the song.
The song ends and the crowd cheers. Maria, very proud of her performance, says "Gražia, thank you, I love you all!" before she and her dancers promptly leave the stage.

Each day
In the morning
I wake up and I feel very excited
And I prepare myself
For the day because I want to look good

I arrive at school
And I’m not late
I say hello to my teachers
Hello to you all
Today we will learn something new
And I meet my friends

It is now 12 o’clock and I eat
After that, I play outside
With people that make me happy

My friends
My friends
When I am with you I feel very fun, fun, fun
I want to play and sing and dance together
All with you

My friends
My friends
In my days, you are like the sun, sun, sun
Close your eyes and count the stars with me:
One, two, three, four, five!

Each day
In the afternoon
I return and feel very tired
And I wish
That we could sleep even if only for 3 minutes

I learn more
And I study more
I give my homework to my teachers
And they give me more
Today we will learn something again
But I will try to stay strong

It is now 3 o’clock and I leave
At home, I tell mom
Of all that I experienced at school

My friends
My friends
When I am with you I feel very fun, fun, fun
I want to play and sing and dance together
All with you

My friends
My friends
In my days, you are like the sun, sun, sun
Close your eyes and count the stars with me:
One, two, three, four, five!

Yes, in the holidays
I enjoy the sun, the sea and wind
But I miss them
I want to play with my friends

My friends
My friends
When I am with you I feel very fun, fun, fun
I want to play and sing and dance together
All with you

My friends
My friends
In my days, you are like the sun, sun, sun
Close your eyes and count the stars with me:
One, two, three, four, five!

Merecendi's first ever foray into Junior World Hit Festival features Yusatin Awarmseet, who, at the young age of 7, is Merecendi's most mature, by foreign standards, performer ever to perform in a song contest. A veritable child prodigy, he is exceeded only by his younger sister, Ishatin, who at the age of 2 and a half composed the orchestral composition of the song, but could not perform due to contest rules. She is expected to be found wildly clapping her hands in support of her slightly less talented but older brother as she babysits her parents in the green room. The Merecendian public are divided on the song, thinking it is mostly a waste of time better spent on buying stocks in local happiness, and sunbathing without boundaries.

The stage is in darkness, with only a fun-sized piano lit by soft spotlights. Yusatin sits, dressed in a little tuxedo, and begins playing. He sings into the microphone mounted on the baby baby grand. The camera zooms in on his face, which is wracked with pained determination, and his voice literally drips with melancholy, splashing on the piano keys
Is destiny certain, is destiny final
If we're together, it won't matter much
We won't be forgotten, I won't forget you
With you by my side

A single tear of pain traces down from his face. He can't bear to make eye contact with the camera for the longest time, but when he does, the camera disappears into his eyeball, and is lost into the maelstrom of loss and misery within
Don't try to hide it, don't be resentful
Yes you'll outlive me, savor this touch
So will you fly with me, in such fragile youth
I'll let you decide

Golden spotlights sweep out as golden light suffuses the arena and another camera zooms out from him, taking in all of the stage and audience within its benevolent gaze. It begins to melt a bit from the pure warmth, and shorts out for a second as Yusatin's honeyed, wistful voice fills the stadium with its volume to the point where the audience begins to have trouble breathing
Yet all of this fear
Can't faze me
I'll travel lightyears and lightyears
And I'll live on

I won't disappear
Can't faze me
I'll still love you, still love you
Beyond my life

The most stunning chords and sounds vibrate through the arena, causing the molecules of all present to dance in synchrony, a beautiful dance that leaves everyone even more breathless than before, a state of existence where even the air is dancing and all is one and one is all
Love you, beyond my lifetime

The shared joy and enrapturement of the audience builds itself up into the arena air as a physical form, reaching up toward the heavens in joyous exclamation, shining into the darkness, radiating into the light. Amidst it all, Yusatin plays the piano effortlessly and stunningly, with poise unmatched among anyone in the arena. The lights and drama tone down, resonating at a lower frequency as only Yusatin is softly lit, only his face lit by a glimmer of softened spotlight glancing off the water rippled surface of the piano
Their love is ephemeral, our love is eternal
The sky stretches onwards, beyond mortal sight
You know what you're made of, no one can stop you
And you can decide
Decide

Gold light suffuses the arena once more, the camera hitting all the most dramatic angles like a runway supermodel starring in a theatrical action movie, all the best curves and all slick angles. Pyros begin to weep upon the stage, pure emotion pouring out of the actual stage itself and washing over the audience, a tsunami of love and determination infiltrating every micrometer of the space provided
And so all of this fear
Can't faze me
I'll travel lightyears and lightyears
And I'll live on
I won't disappear
You can face me
And when you rise to join me
That's all my heart wants

Fog covers the stage floor as the orchestra rises out of a pit no one knew existed, all Merecendi children around Yusatin's age. They play flawlessly with their miniature instruments, and rise above the crowd as one
That's all my heart wants

Can't faze me

The pure emotion radiating from Yusatin is now at the point where waves of distortion warp and bend across the stage and arena, reality thinning at the seams and people wondering if they accidentally added the wrong kind of mushrooms to their last meal. Nonetheless, they are all captured in a state of euphoria as Yusatin's promise rings true throughout the air and land
And so all of this fear
Can't faze me
I'll travel lightyears and lightyears
To see you once more
I won't disappear
You can face me
And when you rise to join me
That's all my heart wants

The orchestra sinks back into their pit, as if it never existed. The stage lights dim back down to just a single spotlight on Yusatin, playing the final measures on the piano. He seems peaceful, ready, and waiting for destiny to take its path

The lights return to normal, or as normal as they'll ever be. Yusatin sniffles and wipes away tears as he yelps, "Thank you, with, all my heart, Zoloroni!!" and shuffles back stage.

Izmedu
Jelena Maričić - "El faur"

Title Translation: The Flower
Language(s): Izmeduan
Tune: Maria Zhilina - Higher
Lyrics: Jelena Maričić
Music: Marija Jurisić

Additional Information
National Dish: El brudet, most commonly known as fish stew with an Izmeduan style. Primarily served in Vodiznad and Mousiki, it's emphasis is in simplicity born out of a need for survival in the early years of Izmeduan history. Fish stew can be prepared with polenta and does not require more than a large pot and the required ingredients. When preparing the dish, saute the onion and pour some onion oil on the pot, then fry the fish. Once done so, then prepare the garlic and shake the whole pot. Then, add tomato, salt, pepper, and raisins to the fish to cover it. Cook it for 50 to 60 minues, add water, more olive oil, and finish your meal with polenta.
"Welcome" and "Welcome to [NATION]" in your language: "Dobrodosil!" and "Dobrodosil u-el-Izmedu!"

When it came time to thinking about the Izmeduan entry for the 4th Junior World Hit Festival, RTI were at a crossroads much like its previous incarnations. RTI was already invested in other projects, so a skeleton team was formed consisting of those who were committed to the JWHF project the first time around when the country made its non-competitive debut in Bloodbath Generation. Luckily, there was a swelling of artists (both children and adult) that were interested in performing Izmedu, and the RTI team were forced to pick between two compelling packages. Ultimately, a very late switch was made in the game, even thought RTI were already committed to another Junior entry.

This switch came in the form of 14 year old Jelena Maricic, termed as a prodigious thespian and also a Mousiki native. She comes into the contest with a song produced by former WorldVision entrant, Marija Jurisic. Jelena herself was largely introduced to the music world by taking part in amateur school productions in Mousiki, taking supporting roles in elementary adaptations of famous Izmeduan musicals at the age of 10. That was her platform to impress, and ultimately, she gained some media traction for displaying a performance prowess that professional Izmeduan singers (the likes of Marija Jurisic, Terezija Novak, Anamarija Lubina and etc.) found comparable to their own. Supporting roles led to starring roles immediately, and when it came time for the Junior World Hit Festival to be planned, her name floated off to the top of the list immediately.

Her fame led her to come in contact with former WorldVision entrant, Marija Jurisic. This was part of a plan to jumpstart Jelena's singing and acting career by placing her first international exposure in the JWHF. How it happened? Marija viewed a video of one of Jelena's solo performance of a local Mousikian musical, of which she sang and danced on her own one of its notoriously difficult supporting solos, “The Water's Requiem.” This led Marija to contact Jelena's parents, and it was history from there. Jelena knew how to dance and grace the stage, considering that much of her musical performance involved a ballet-style dance. Marija offered singing and production support.

Jelena, working with Marija, produced “El faur,” the resulting product of months of mentorship and training, and the project came up somewhat short in the initial selection. However, conflicts with the original singer, Sandra Lalic, forced Sandra to withdraw uncomfortably late in the process. Thus, Jelena accepted the offer to represent Izmedu in the 4th edition of the Junior World Hit Festival. Despite the murky process behind the entry selection, Jelena and her team were confident they could pull off a performance and honor Melanija's 2nd place in the previous contest.

Stage lights billowed down to the center in preparation for the Izmeduan entry, the cubeMRC's interior falling into pitch black darkness. Jelena was centered at the main stage, a little bit nervous as she would performing the song largely on her lonesome. After a few seconds of cheering, the music started, a rumbling and low flute sound flowing through the stage as the camera was at an overhead view, with Jelena standing at the stage with her head face down. The stage lights were then configured to a dark, haunting green, with the screens showing sublime scenes from the Izmeduan wilderness; primary focused on showing flower fields. Then, just a second before the vocals commenced, a spotlight shone on Jelena as the camera focused on a close up of her face, and she put the microphone near her mouth and began to sing...

Ganerim do la prorida. Sentirem la-aria
Ju sam jart poput la stabla. Plesam ću cauc conteb

Once the camera was on her, Jelena's face perked up as she commenced her singing, taking on a largely traditional register for the first two lines of the verse. The flower fields on the screens were largely lilting to the music, shifting scenes from there to other parts of the Izmeduan wilderness (such as a nature reserve, random shots of wildlife, and a waterfall). A small wind effect was displayed, causing her hair to slightly flay about in the wind as Jelena was practicing a technique of holding her free hand close to her head in order to pull off her current register. The camera zoomed out as the two lines progressed, before zooming out completely at the end of the second line.

El sauncevo svitlo sjaji na nuestra biala svita dilmo
El sauncevo svitlo teče na-el-tlo du andu korijenje

Beats were added to the song as the stage flashed white, and Jelena began to perform some light choreography to match the song, stepping back three steps to match the stuttered rhythm of the song. She made arm movement to and from her body as her spotlight and the cubeMRC's interior turned yellow, as the screen graphics transformed from the flower fields to an artistic graphic of a rising sun. Each arm movement she made almost looked as if she was causing the sun to rise and shine, with her leading the sun rays (errant spotlights on the stage) towards the audience.

El faur, el faur, biala živ, rastiš stasit, rastiš cete
El faur, el faur; biala svita, disati ćeš con-čistim-slobodom

The camera maintained a dynamic overhead view at the start of roaring chorus, with Jelena continuing her light choreography that kept the focus squarely on her singing. On the floor appeared a timelapse of soil turning into a flower field, emphasized heavily by the further development of the sun artwork that appeared on the screens. Jelena moved around the stage, keeping her arm up as she emphasized the anthemic qualities of the song, encouraging the Mercedinian audience to dance and celebrate nature with her. During the instrumental interlude, she hummed the melody of the song. At the end of the chorus, she was at the audience-left runway, preparing herself to move to the central island.

Entrurim ove divline, vidim el-ufanje
El nuf faur daleko i oci vide el buducnost
La svita energija pruža nas nuestra samo dom i azil
El sauncevo svitlo teče na-el-tlo du andu korijenje

Throughout this verse, the sun graphics transitioned back to the green flower fields from earlier, with the sun now being a far more apparent appearances as the rays shined down on the billowing fields at the bottom. She spent much of the verse in a slow trek to the connected stage island, with the camera taking occasional overhead shots or side views. At the second half of the verse, Jelena increased her initially slow pace as the lights flashed white to the recurring beats. She had one arm raised in order to get the audience's pumped, and by the end of the verse, she was at the cubeMRC's stage island.

El faur, el faur, biala živ, rastiš stasit, rastiš cete
El faur, el faur; biala svita, disati ćeš con-čistim-slobodom

The flower fields disappeared to make way for the artistic sun graphics, and Jelena performed much the same choreography from earlier, but added extra flashes to account for the smaller stage space. She spent much of the chorus near the audience, singing to them and extending her head especially dirng the 'el faur' parts. Additionally, the stage screens once began to display various images of flowers at various stages of growth. Through the chorus, the camera mostly did a wide span swoop of the stage, emphasizing Jelena's solo presence on the stage.

At the instrumental interlude, where the backing would consist of just the song's beats, this was where Jelena's dancing was put to the test. The camera was centered just on her as she was standing at the very center of the island, she began to cross both of her arms together and did a tribal-like dance. Then, as the beat progressively began to get more intricate, with her choreography almost bordering on breakdancing. The interlude ended with Jelena's free arm pointing towards the ceiling.

El faur, el faur, biala živ, rastiš stasit, rastiš cete
El faur, el faur; biala svita, disati ćeš con-čistim-slobodom

At the first line, Jelena did not move as she focused on re-centering her vocals after the more intensive dance routine she did. The instrumentation was simply just guitar, as Jelena stood still for most of it. Then, at the second line, it was proceedings as normal as Jelena once again moved about on the central island, as she engaged the crowd to an even higher level by high-fiving some audience members. Then, when she finished singing the last line, she carried the song's outro with a vocal ad lib that motioned for power, with her having to hold the microphone with both hands. Then at that, the entry was complete.

Jelena waved to the Mercedinian audience and shouted, "Hvala Mercedini!"

I shout to nature. I feel the air.
I am strong like the trees. I will dance here with you
The sun's light shines on the beautiful world we share
The sun's light flows to the soil, where it takes root

Flowers, flowers, beautiful life, you will grow tall, you will rise
Flowers, flowers, beautiful world, you will breathe with pure freedom

I enter these wildlands, I see hope
The new flowers as far as the eyes can see the future
The world's energy provides us our only home and shelter
The sun's light flows to the soil, where it takes root

Flowers, flowers, beautiful life, you will grow tall, you will rise
Flowers, flowers, beautiful world, you will breathe with pure freedom

Flowers, flowers, beautiful life, you will grow tall, you will rise
Flowers, flowers, beautiful world, you will breathe with pure freedom

Tödlichebujoku

Thorsten Yokinen - "We're Dancing"
Tune:
Mans Zelmerlow - Heroes (Nightcore)
National Dish: Talviyuhla: salted smoked salmon with smoked or sautéed reindeer ribs seasoned with wild leeks and ash-pepper in reindeer fat, and served with rye bread topped with blueberry/lingonberry preserves and reindeer cheese, a cup of lightly fermented and spiced reindeer milk alongside. Sometimes the bread is replaced with a potato-millet mash with blueberry/lingonberry preserves, and can also be served with cranberry wine.
Some areas farther south ferment the salmon and salt it with bitter salt, but that's an acquired taste

Welcome, and Welcome to Tödlichebujoku: Tervetuloa! Tervetuloa Tödlichebujokkaan!

VVMxD once again stole the invitation from SterGo100, and has sent Thorsten Yokinen's "fun little number" to the JWHF stage. They are of excite about this song.

Thorsten is sitting on the floor, no extraneous colors or animations
i'm scared to tell my mom i left
i ran away just to have fun
can't do it over

I'm dancing till there's no time left
I haven't even seen the sun
don't tell my mother

he stands up, looking pained but then he smiles
the guards they made me cry and asked my why I had no fun
they made me so scared
but then i found a unicorn who led me down a secret door

the stage explodes in light as an array of jugglers and clowns invade the stage and start dancing in unison
we are the greatest of them all
we're dancing with the jugglers in the mall
we are tanzensten of them all
Oo-ooh... o-ohh...
yea we're dancing with the sad clowns at the mall
Oo-ooh... o-ohhh...
let's dance with sad clowns at the mall!
Oo-ooh... o-ohh...
And we're dancing with the jugglers in the halls
Oo-ooh... o-ohh...

the clowns and jugglers leave and the lights tone down, as a group of boys who look somehow manufactured march out and array themselves on either side of Thorsten
lets sing and dance with rubber skins
just grab a stick and march on down
down to the toy store

they make marching moves and patterns
it turns my thoughts and makes them real
The best thing that i've ever found
besides my father

he left when scary men in broken masks broke in and burned the trees outside
i never saw more

Thorsten's face falls, not literally, before being happy again. the lights explode out into glory and a tornado of mist envelops Thorsten
so i ran down to a rabbit hole and found myself a secret door, to be together

we are the greatest of them all
don't be silly, its got chilly, being lost is happy and fun

A unicorn gallops up onto the stage and Thorsten pets him
and here he is, the unicorn who led me down a secret door, and we're together

The clowns and jugglers return, executing a very complex coordinated dance with the group of boys as Thorsten steps forward. Everyone is wet and shiny
we're dancing with the jugglers in the mall
we are the greatest of them all
we are tanzensten of them all
we are the danciest of them all

Oo-ooh... o-ohh...
yea we're dancing with the sad clowns at the mall
i am happy, super happy, make me fall in love with you
Oo-ooh... o-ohhh...
let's dance with sad clowns at the mall!
walls are closing, clowns are closer, let's have a fun time tonight
Oo-ooh... o-ohh...
And we're dancing with the jugglers in the halls
Oo-ooh... o-ohh...
We are the dancers!

He is happy and the stage lights darken to nothing

"THANK YUO ZOLORONI!!!" he shouts before running off the stage with his entourage, slipping and falling a bit but eventually making it off the stage.
