[OOC] [TWI-Only] Gael Collaboration Thread

Gday! So I noticed that many of us Gaelitic nations have desires to collaborate/work together yet do not seem to... This is why I thought that a collaboration thread may be beneficial for Gael as a whole. We can discuss anything related to Gael here, although Gael Four related matters should be done in a mass telegram of its members. We can use the Gael nation as a place to show what we have collaborated on here in a dispatch format. This is also the place where we can discuss what goes on that account/where suggestions can be taken for what we put on that account.

Current Projects/Discussions
  • A Gael-wide financial crisis in the 1980s
  • A species of bee that is widespread in Gael
  • Trans Gael Railway Network (IC implementation to be worked on)

This thread is for nations from The Western Isles only. Imposters shall be dealt with in a way similar to that we deal with Orsandian communists.

I will kick start this thread with a little sneaky ad. Pls don't hurt me. Anyways....

I have finished making the design for the current submarines in my navy and have begun advertising the export version of my submarine.

Because I love Gael and I wanna make cool friends. I will offer a IC deal of 5% off any money payment because I am just a nice guy.

I will even put sneaky stuff on your sub just to keep updated on what you doing! So NICE!

Here is the dispatch if your interested. https://www.nationstates.net/page=dispatch/id=909372

Howdy, since my land grew, what would my population be? Should it stay at 7 mil? I doubled it because I figured more people live by the coast

Hey, so I'm thinking of making a dispatch for a Gael-wide bee species (like the European Honeybee). If you've got any ideas for it, please leave it below... if you'd like it in your nation lemme know. I haven't started any of this and I'd really like it to be a nations of gael project.

Love this, my uncle is a beekeeper. This species is interesting.. "solitary" and leaf cutting https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megachilidae

I'd actually like to do a couple of Gael species, I think it'd be cool to have contiguous habitats. I was thinking of working on a maple tree species.
I'd argue that whatever you come up with, it ought to be very realistic.

I'd like some help on designing and writing about the bee species... I really want this to be a gael effort, not just an "ainslie made this" thing

My only request is that it is a social bee, rather than solitary i.e. they live in colonies.
On the page, I'd include where it lives, size, number per colony...
maybe have something about it that makes it particularly adapted to Gael?

i really love the idea and all for it. If people have fauna base we already that is native to their nation we can correlate bee habits to those faunas

I like this idea, it's quite an interesting one too. I'd be happy to work on this when I get some more Factbook done?

Bonjour Amigo's!

So I was thinking (Yes, it hurt) What would you guys think of a Trans-Gael railway line. Running through Gael and allowing alternative transport links throughout the region?

I mean, it's likely that all of our rail networks are already connected and have been for some time.
Did you have a specific project or purpose in mind?

Very possibly a story-line tied to the planned Imperial War, having a rail line we could move military equipment including V-Rockets and Prisoners of War during the time.

Seems to mysteriously pass completely by Michgonia, and follows possibly the most mountainous route possible.

Crude is crude, I might as well work on a less crude version.

I'm not missing out on anyone intentionally, It's hard to draw a rail line through all nations without looking like a spaghetti strand.

After nearly two hours of work, and lots of image referencing, I present to Gael, the Gael Intercontinental Rail Map, inspired by Jorvvik's Trans-Gael Railway.

Image

In Red is the Jamesport-Veldzicht or Northwest Gael Spine. In Black is the Kaelectia Mountians or the Dunstanton-Lindastir or the Central Gael Spine. In Orange is the (Unknown Agadarian City)-Yangkong or the Southern Gael Spine. In Purple is the Camagra-Mandara or the Ainslie-Verdon Circut. In Blue is the Jamesport-(Unknown Agadarian City) or the West Longitude Spine. Finally in Green is the Esjtmer-Yangkong or East Longitude Spine.

I referenced as many preexisting rail lines as possible, which applies to myself, Jorvvik, and Oste. The remainder of the Rail Map was built around connecting the most cities or the largest cities. Unfortunately, without a map of Agadar, his points on the rail line were assumed based on geography.

To clarify about a few lines, the Northwest Gael Spine is intentionally shorter than the Central Gael Spine and the Southern Gael Spine since no current Dormill-Stiuraian rail connects the northeastern border and the northwester border with Mandeka. The same is why there is no "Central Longitude Spine" running through Dormill and Stiura and northern Orsandia.

Comments are greatly appreciated, and I will alter it as necessary.

Good effort.
If you could alter my section to include Dinha in the loop instead of Ais, that'd be great. Dinha-Rodetza-Camarga is the most important route in my country.

I dunno how Ainslie will feel about this though, since it doesn't go through his Capitol.
