Imperial Union
The Imperial Union a political, economic, and security alliance among sovereign and independent states that practice a monarchy forms of government. While states maintain sovereign authorities over their territories, the IU seeks to establish policies and approaches that enhance domestic and foreign standings of membersates.
The Imperial Union is governed by offices and institutions that maintain order over specific IU functions but collectively work towards upholding values and mandate of he the IU.
Imperial Union Institutions
Imperial Council
The Imperial Council is the Imperial Union's highest and most senior institution. Comprised of the heads of state from each member state, the council is charged with establishing the political agenda and direction of the of the Imperial Union. All Imperial Union policy is reflective of council priorities and vision.
The only non-head of state that sits on council is the Lord President of the Imperial Union. The Lord President's attendance is to accurately represent to will of the council at the Imperial Union and share Imperial Union inner workings with the council.
Imperial Commission
The Imperial Commission is responsible for proposing legislation, implementing decisions, upholding the Imperial Union treaties and managing the day-to-day business of the Imperial Union. Led by the Lord President of the Imperial Union, the commission is comprised of commissioners who led specific operational departments of the Imperial Union.
Typically, the commissioner seeks to ensure that each nation is represented in the commission by at least one commissioner. That said, when commissioner are sworn into office, commissioners are assumed to advocate for the will of the commissioner rather then national interest.
At all times, the commission by have Lord Vice President, Foreign Commissioner, Finance Commissioner, and Security Commissioner installed.
Imperial Union Offices
Lord President
The Lord President is he head of the Imperial Union and the leads the executive team within in the Imperial Commissioner. The Lord President also sits on the Imperial Council. The Lord President is empowered to allocate portfolios amongst, reshuffle or dismiss commissioners as necessary.
The Lord Presidents is appointed to office by a simple majority vote from the Imperial Council and it accountable to the council. Lord Presidents serve for 5 year terms and cannot be reappointed by the council.
The Lord President is supported by the Office of the Lord President which is led by the Lord Vice President. The Lord Vice President supports the Lord President in regular duties, sitting in the Lord Presidents absence, and coordinating internal policy integration.
Foreign Commissioner
Reporting to the Lord President, the Foreign Commissioner coordinates the foreign policy of the Imperial Union as it relates to the Imperial Union's interaction with foreign nations and international organization, both government and non-government.
The Foreign Commissioner is nominated and elected by member states heads of government. Once elected, the Commissioner-Elect's name is to the Imperial Council by the Lord President who then approves the vote and gives the Lord President the power to appoint.

Finance Commissioner
Reporting to the Lord President, the Finance Commissioner coordinates the economic and finance policy of the Imperial Union. The Finance Commissioner works with memberstates to ensure that economic policy is best suited to their individual and collective needs.
The Finance Commissioner is nominated and elected by member states heads of government. Once elected, the Commissioner-Elect's name is to the Imperial Council by the Lord President who then approves the vote and gives the Lord President the power to appoint.

Security Commissioner
Reporting to the Lord President, the Security Commissioner coordinates the security policy of the Imperial Union. While the Security Commissioner does not direct military action, the commission is a civil level security leadership that world closely with the Lord President and memberstates to ensure the security priorities of the union.
The Security Commission is nominated and elected by member states heads of government. Once elected, the Commissioner-Elect's name is to the Imperial Council by the Lord President who then approves the vote and gives the Lord President the power to appoint.
