General Rules:

Rule I
Do not Meta-Game. Metagaming refer to one's use of external factors, such as OOC chat, to gain knowledge in the RP. In other words, your character must use information they have learned from RPing.
Rule II
Do not FRP. "FRP" or "Fake/Fail Role-Play" refers to the act of crossing realistic boundaries while role-playing. An example of this would be, "[Nation A] has launched a Nuclear Strike on all nations of Libertas". Realistically, this would be impossible and you will be ignored.
Rule III
Do not be a Mary Sue. "Being a Mary Sue" refers to the act of being perfect in any given statistic. Say, "[Nation A] is protected by an invincible forcefield". NationStates stats should be used for the statistics which will be included in another dispatch.
Rule IV
Do not invade other nations without consent from both parties. If one were to break this rule, their actions would be regarded as null and would be voided.[/box]
Rule V
One can't and won't be able to control another Nation to their own whim. Even if both parties consent, it is strictly prohibited. You own your nation, do not give it away.
Rule VI
Do keep the Role-Play in a Non-Erotic or Non-Gory fashion. This is to ensure that other Role-Players are not disgusted by one's atrocious actions.[/box]
Rule VII
Do not manipulate or twist someone else's or something's original intent.
Rule VIII
Out-of-Character (OOC) hatred is strongly discouraged if directed at someone in RP. For example, if someone has annoyed you OOC, don't go and invade their country as that counts as Meta-Gaming. You have been warned.

Important Rule I
Do NOT excessively argue with another Nation in the RMB during a Role-Play. If you do, your comments will be suppressed. Rather, you should take it to Telegrams and talk it out.
Important Rule II
Do refrain from bending the rules to fit your own agenda. What will be written here will be changed in due's time, but what is here is what everyone must follow.
Important Rule III
Do restrain any temptations to violate the rules. Violations of any of the above rules will result in your RP being ignored. If the violation is severe enough, you could face ejection. After multiple ejections, you could face banishment.
Important Rule IV
Do not act as if the story revolves around you. Everyone and no-one are main characters. Act like it.

All other nation statistics are deemed irrelevant in Libertas roleplay, as you can roleplay the other aspect of your nation however you wish.
