AHSCA wrote:"And I love you too." she planted a gentle kiss onto Faye. "I'm loving it here just as much." This would likely be her home too someday Xan felt more than confident in that.

Faye heard her girlfriend and she enjoyed every word of it, adjusting the two of them so that they were snuggled closer on the beanbag. Opening her eyes, she saw into Xan's eyes, reaching up and cupping her cheek. She could get lost in those eyes of hers, deep as the ocean and thrice as beautiful... and the ocean was something really beautiful.
"Ladra, protect this woman, for she carries my heart.", she whispered and softly kissed the girl on the lips.

She enjoyed the kiss then pulled back for a moment to reply, "We were seen through that storm, we'll be seen through anything." and she returned the kiss again

Faye smiled, nodded... then giggled as she remembered something.
"There's something I wanted to do since yesterday evening.", she whispered to Xan, placing a hand on her side, kissing her on the lips - and then started to tickle the younger woman in her arms, who had confessed to her, that she was ticklish.
There was one secret, though: She was, too.

Faye laughed, too, squealed even as she was tickled back, her preemptive strike going well, but the counterstrike being devestating, too. After a time, her lungs hurt from the many laughing, tears of joy streaming down her face, as she abandoned all kissing and just pulled Xan closer to her, kissing her deeply.

Faye hummed in enjoyment.
"You're not that bad either, Xan...", she whispered and thought for a moment. A glance over Xan's shoulder, into the living room, showed her the time. A small sigh escaped her, before she looked at her girlfriend, a smile soon blooming. "We'll have to entertain guests, soon... Hold on tight!"
With that, and a moment of adjustment, she stood up, Xan still in her arms, and adjusted her a bit.

"Thanks. We'll just have to work hard to welcome and entertain our guests together then!" she still had her bright smile, as long as she was with Faye she'd be thrilled.

Faye smiled. "That's the spirit!"
And with that, she carried Xan off into her bedroom, through the short hallway, where multiple photographs were proudly displayed. She on the deck of her little boat, leaning onto the railing with a wide grin. A young Gleoite rolled up and sleeping in one of her pots. She with a foreign business delegation, showing them through a factory together with a young woman in Geansai, the furred variant, while she wore fishleather. Dancing with a boy, he looked sick and was maybe ten years old, cradling his head against her shoulder. Gleoite with a chef's hat and a cutely puzzled expression on his face, standing in the kitchen. Her sisters and brothers, all assembled for one reason or the other. Faye on the deck of some sort of ship, one definately not for civilian purposes, talking with a group of foreigners while a group of sailors clad in the same uniforms as those from the morning watched her. She, on her wharf, leaned back and eyes closed, dozing with her fishing line cast. A crew of fishermen with her, the Eangach in the background. She, dancing with an officer in Navy-uniform.
Many more.

"Hehe" she enjoyed being carried away by Faye like being whisked away to some far off place even if just a few feet. "Looks like you have many fond memories you choose to keep. That's nice"

"These and many, many more.", Faye replied, "Some of which were sadly not caught on camera and some..."
She kissed Xan onto the lips.
"I don't need a picture to remember last night...", she wispered to her, then proceeded to open her bedroom door - when compared to the room with the beanbags, this one was almost spartan, a bed, a few cupboards, a bookshelf (well filled) and a nightstand with a lamp and a book on it. In the corner was a large blanket piled up, several tears reveiling, that its usual inhabitant was not a human, but in fact Gleoite. In one corner were Xan's bags, neatly stacked.
Faye settled her down into the matress, remaining there for a moment with a soft, tender smile.
"So... we should get dressed properly if we want to entertain guests, right?", she asked, a soft, tender smile on her lips, still holding onto her. "What dresscode would you like?"

"Huuuh" She gave it a thought "Well, depends on how formal this party is? I do have some nice clothes I brought along, a dress, the outfit I arrived in the swimsuit you gave me."

"It's a get-together of the archaeologists and me and you, nothing too formal. Besides..." She whispered to the girl, a glint in her eyes. "...it's not exactly a place for a ball, here, I have to admit. It'll be highly informal... and will become increasingly informal as the evening progresses."
She smiled.
"After all, imagine what we went through yesterday, only at the open air, sitting in a tent a hundred metres in the air.", she said, "Those guys will celebrate life!"

Faye smiled.
"We actually could do that...", she mumbled, a small smile on her lips, "...after all, no need to be that formal. And I know, that you'd be the belle of the ball!"
With that, she went to work herself, smiling as she decided for herself from her own wardrobe - the decision to her came almost automatically, as her eyes fell onto the package which held her Geansai, the one of her Tribe, bending down to retrieve it.

"Haha well I mean I'd have to know they'd be ok with it. On the islands it'd be just fine but I'm here so I best mind myself." She pulled out a white outfit, white skirt and white blouse she used a white hair bow to push her hair into a very loose bun which left most of her hair down but the small section in the bun.

"Oh, most of them are Lutettiians, they are okay with skin showing, but the more formal one gets, the more cloth one needs... also relating to the own station.", she explained, "The only ones firmly upholding that is the Council of Cities."
Faye smiled as she clothed herself again.
Wexford had a weird Geansai - while other fishleather wearing tribes had their female dress in a bikini-like top and a skirt, Wexford, her own Tribe, preferred a different kind. First off, there were bracers of fish leather for either arm, meaning, that she was taken, the two daggers hidden underneath them reinforcing that point, if someone needed it reinforced. Then came a piece of fishleather, a broad band to stabilize and hold the 'argumentation amplifiers', bound by the back, much like the holder of the furred Geansai, but of a different material. To that, one wore a skirt of fishleather, roundabout thigh-length, but not of one piece, but of strips of leather hanging down, allowing for a wide range of movement and also looking simply fabulous as the leather glittered in the light, due to its origins of a fish. A belt secured the skirt, as well as giving a few pouches for things needed.
Faye went barefoot, as usual for wearing Wexford's Geansai.
She smiled at Xan. "You look pretty.", she said and blushed.

Faye responded by showing Xan all the little nooks and crannies of her little island, including an old, abandoned mine for which the Doc and his students already made plans for further excavations, her lagoon and two side lagoons, one of which was directly beneath a waterfall...
"Sometimes I shower here.", Faye explained with a wink.
...and her power generators. There were of course the solar panels, but that was not everything, not by a long shot, as she sometimes needed more then those produced and stored. There were two tidal power generators off shore, in the water, barely visible. Gleoite's nest, with the owner napping in the canopy of his tree, was also a point of interest.
And in no time at all, they stood at the foot of the mountain, Faye pointig up. "Wanna try and brave it?", she asked.

"It's be better climbing outfit then some of my students arrived in!", a new, accented voice chimed in from in front of them. It belonged to an older man, maybe in his fifties, lean, with a grandfatherly face. His eyes were blue, intelligent, flying from one woman to the other as he turned the corner and sat on a large rock. "Doctor Soarelli - I hope you two don't mind me intruding to your conversation."
"Not at all, Doc.", Faye told the man, "I believe, that there's a story behind that?"
"Of course there is.", he said wirh a grin, "But I won't share it until the evening." His eyes fell onto Xan and he smiled. "Ciao, signorina. I must say, you're even more beautiful up close then from binoculars."

The Doctor took it in a firm, but gentle grip, before breathing a kiss onto it.
"The pleasure is all mine, Miss Mallet.", he said charmingly, which made Faye raise an eyebrow. "Ah, I see... oh well, other girls have beautiful mothers, too!"
Faye couldn't help but giggle at that.
