Paramount Leader Janis Ozoliņš Set to Retire

Indulis Ozoliņš is widely expected to succeed his older brother.

This evening the Ministry of Media & Telecommunications has formally announced that comrade Paramount Leader Janis Ozoliņš will resign his duties as Paramount Leader after experiencing a recent bout of poor health over the last three weeks and for the last several days has been hospitalised after contracting tuberculosis. His younger brother, Indulis Ozoliņš, is expected to succeed comrade Paramount Leader Janis Ozoliņš.

Janis Ozoliņš, a direct descent of one of the founders of the Revolutionary Republic of Rietumimark - revolutionary hero Andris Ozoliņš - has been one of the most influential figures within the Rietumish Unity Party in consolidating the revolution in Rietumimark. His leadership during the turbulent Great People's Struggle against fascist and monarchist hordes helped blunt attempts by the Axis Imperialism to destroy the will of the Rietumish lift the chains of oppression amid the Revolutionary Wars. Later in his glorious life, he helped his father, Paramount Leader Ivan Ozoliņš, in crushing the spread of the illegal counterrevolutionary foreign-backed terrorist uprising in the Dewedish Autonomous People's Republic; in which 9,500 brave martyrs who lost their lives fighting Gentry-funded criminal gangs.

In following years, his pacification campaigns in the Dewedish to weed counterrevolutionary elements, in which between 10-15,00 imperialist terrorists were eliminated, helped terminate further threats to Rietumish stability. Additionally, his cleanses of the Rietumish Unity Party against counterrevolutionaries and saboteurs elements in the Party has allowed the Revolutionary Republic of Rietumimark to not just survive, but thrive free from foreign meddling. In 2014, under his guidance, the illegal government of the so-called Restored Tsardom of [South] Rietumimark was reunited with the Revolutionary Republic following a short, victorious war.

“Today Rietumimark has lost a great revolutionary of the same calibre of my grandfather,” said the future Paramount Leader Indulis Ozoliņš, standing side by side with his eight-month pregnant wife and two children during a brief press conference. “There's too few men of his distinction in this disreputable world. He is a true hero to the Rietumish people and his memory will live on for generations to come. Looking down from the heavens, Janis will join paragons of true revolutionaries Andris and Ivan Ozoliņš and will continue to lead Rietumimark on the Revolutionary Path to a better future.”

Millions of people swarmed the streets of major Rietumish cities such as Slapjšzemesgrad, braving the freezing temperatures hold impromptu vigils to mourn the great revolutionary hero of the Rietumimark's revolution. Many held up messages on banners, with one reading that “We Shall Never Forget You Janis Ozoliņš!”

May Day Parade in Nation's Capital inspires Republican Unity

Asahina, Ibuki - Large crowds and foreign dignitaries accompanied the May Day demonstrations down the main promenade of the capital today, culminating at Republic Square with a speech by Director Ami Sato representing the National Directorate before both the assembled military units and democratic militias marching in the parade as well as the diverse throngs from all walks of life that had come together in unity and fraternity. Despite recent heated disagreements between the National Directorate and the opposition in the Popular Assembly, the main representatives of all parties were in attendance together in a show of resolute solidarity and union for all East Ochrans. Notably, Foreign Affairs Director Ami Sato positioned with the Bahktar delegation to our May Day parade after providing a warm reception for the secretaries-general of the congressional parties, the East Ochran Enlightened Communist Party Gyōmin Kyōsantō, the Progressives Shakai Minshū-tō, the Socialist-Proletarian Party Shakai Taishūtō, the social-liberal Rikken Minseito and the Social Republican Movement in the spirit of democratic and socialist unity and non-partisanship. Director Calleva Rin took her place later to represent the National Directorate among the congressional delegation. While combined military exercises promoting mutual defense against fascism is not uncommon around May Day, a contingent of the Bahktar Army had concluded a training exchange at the nearby Setsutani Air Base. In a show of international brotherhood and continuing dedication to friendship between the Bahktar Worker's Republic and the East Ochran Republic, a squadron of Bahktar Hawk fighters completed an impressive coordinated fly-by and aerial demonstration with our own Type 79 Umiwashi fighters.

The military component of the parade down the Central Promenade showcased some armored vehicles and infantry of the Republican Army while also featuring elements of the Democratic Militias all coordinated by the National Bakufu for the event. Marching bands and honor guards of several national trade unions, notably the miners, autoworkers, engineers, steelworkers, technicians, scientists and others, provided a display of the strength and unity of labor. Pavilions staffed by Popular Assembly and National Directorate delegates acting as volunteers to give back to the community provided free meals to all event attendees in the spirit of Labor Day, typically featuring easy prepared meals such as tonkatsu bowls and bento.

After a choir of celebrated popular singers accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra performed a rendition of the Internationale and the national anthem, First Consul Sato took the podium for the May Day address representing the executive of the Technate, where she acknowledged the difficult and arduous road of all hardworking East Ochrans to free themselves from tyranny to a better quality of life today and in the future,

"We were once a land of great injustice and economic tyranny for the working man. A land where a man, through great toil, contributed an honest day's work and yet was not compensated with the means to provide for his family. A land where another man, born into opulence and avarice, did not know an honest day's work but received many hundredfold the wage of the honest man simply for his existence. A land where men who coasted through life, and with no allegiance to anyone but their own greed, would be given billions by our government while the miner, the farmer, the factory worker, the man of science, our very own people, would struggle and fail to provide the necessities of life, food, shelter, medical care, for themselves and their families. Indeed, while the banker's son spent his life of leisure at the country club paid for by the labor of the workingman, the workingmen of this country would toil in poor working conditions, face starvation or eviction and foreclosure from their homes. When the honest citizens of this country protested these inequities, they were met with law enforcement and thuggish mercenaries under the employ of those who took for themselves the fruits of labor and ordered massacres in return. Our labor filled the coffers of banks made of silver and gold, where policemen were always on guard at every door, yet when the working neighborhoods were terrorized by organized crime and by illicit poisons, those same policemen were nowhere to be seen. Our democracy was truly a sham before the General Strike, but no longer!

The situation in this land a century ago was not one which the honest learned men who led the revolution for our republic would have recognized as their vision, so thoroughly had it been twisted by the ultra-capitalist and by foreign imperialists. It was only when the great many who toiled for this nation's future came together, looked past the false barriers of caste and race erected by the robber barons to see each other as men, equal in the struggle for liberty, self-determination and pursuit of the just rewards of their labor, to overcome the tyranny of the men who saw themselves as masters. We must never forget the strength of this unity, as we are joined here today by international camaraderie with the workingmen of other nations, both those who have freed themselves from the shackles of oppression and those who have yet to. For this common bond of democratic unity, I am pleased to welcome the Bahktar delegation to our capital this May Day, our closest brother peoples. Even where there are differences of opinion, we must not forget the unifying cause of freedom and labor, and I am grateful to call the Ajaxi Democratic League our comrades. We must also remember that great injustice still persists in other nations less fortunate than ours, where men and women who work still face exploitation and can barely fulfill their basic needs. For this we must make clear our solidarity with the workingmen of all nations towards a future where all are free and none live in fear of the next day.

Thank you to my fellow East Ochran peoples and to our esteemed guests today. A thousand years to our great Republic and the People of all lands."

Sacred Fabria, Ecclesiastical State — His Holiness Pope Julius IV has convened a special session of the Blessed Supreme Consistory to discuss plans to reform the national constitution. According to sources inside the Vatican, the Papacy seeks to “redfine the very nature of the Ecclesiastical State, to bring it back into line with the teachings of the Church.” One such amendment is granting the Holy Father the power of Sententia Sacrae, a decree that will only be viable for temporal matters. Others include the constitutional requirement of major businesses to donate to the Good Works Fund.

After three years on the Throne of Saint Peter, his Holiness Pope Julius IV has finally convened the Supreme Consistory solely to discuss his much-anticipated reforms to the Magisterium’s temporal system. As a Cardinal, his Holiness urged for reforms to ensure that the Magisterium was able to meet the basic needs of the vulnerable and poorest in the Ecclesiastical State, but also ensure that stands as a “monument to piety and faithful, righteous governance.”

His Holiness is expected to receive the full support of the Supreme Consistory, which is the executive body of the Ecclesiastical State. Cardinal Aurelius Ventius Turellius has described the Holy Father’s plan as “exquisite in its ambition and design. This effort will allow the Ecclesiastical State to run smoothly in the grace of God and under the blessed wisdom of the Holy Father.”

First Cardinal-Secretary Marcus Camillus told reporters before the session, “we will be actively and warmly debating the planned reforms presented by His Holiness Pope Julius, we will discuss its merits and its benefits to the Ecclesiastical State and our citizens. His Holiness and many eminent colleagues in the Consistory understand that there are deficiencies in our government and administration of our state, we aim to rectify that, while keeping our values and system in line with the Catechism and teachings of the Holy Father.”

Asked if the reform would include economic reform, his Eminence Cardinal Camillus confirmed saying, “his Holiness wishes to see reform the economy, one that will see improvement to the well-being of those at the bottom of our society. Specifically, he wishes to see business in the Ecclesiastical State accept its social responsibilities and offer something back to the communities that power them along through employment. He also wishes to see greater cooperation between business and the charitable foundations that keep the Ecclesiastical State unique among all.”

According to proposals released to the press, the Holy Father seeks a “social concordat” with big business in which they will receive tax cuts in exchange for them donating small portions of their revenues to the Good Works Fund. The GWF was formed by His Holiness in 2016, as a quasi-sovereign fund that is used to fund various social programs by the Church in the ES and abroad. These include soup kitchens, hostels for the homeless, free clothing and shoes for the homeless, food banks for the poorest in advanced economies and scholarships to universities across the Christian developing world.

In a speech last week to business leaders, his Holiness said, “I do not wish for you to see this as an attack, rather I see it as a win-win situation, where you are granted tax reductions and it is the poorest and most dispossessed who benefit with you. There is nothing wrong with hoping to find a way in which businesses can provide something back to society.”

At his meeting, several major domestic corporations expressed support, including, Sagittaria, Novitaria and Luminare.

The reform also seeks to establish better regulation of the internet in the Ecclesiastical State, with His Holiness seeking to block all pornographic websites and hinder sites which he and others have described as “altars of de-spiritualisation.” His Holiness once questioned the benefits of social media, telling a large congregation in 2017, “we look to social media and I do not see a revolution, I see a process of deepening the divisions between people, we see cyberbullying, trolling, sexualisation and deceitful practices like fake news, for what? Finding school friends?”

It is currently not known how the Magisterium seeks to regulate the internet or confront the negative sides of social media, however there is a growing group within the Magisterium to shut down the mainstream social media sites and to replace them with domestic sites.

This session will take place for two days before a final document is presented to the Consilium Civilis to be read and debated. While the Consilium cannot alter any legislation, its suggestions and criticisms are taken by the Consistory and altered if they wish to do so.

Rhynovia Seeks Replacement for Aging MiG-29s

In a joint statement at the military headquarters in Rhynovia today, the Foreign Expeditionary Force and Royal Territorial Army commanders announced the release of requirements for a new multi-role fighter procurement slated to replace the aging MiG-29 fleet in service with both branches today. This after several training incidents this past spring led to the death of 3 pilots flying these aging airframes that were first built by the Rhynovian Worker’s Republic in 1979. Since then the MiG-29 has been the workhorse of the Worker’s Air Force, the Republican Air Force, and now since the restructuring under the monarchy, the FEF and RTA.

This latest move to modernize its multi-role fighter capability comes as the latest iteration of force modernization and increased defense spending over the past decade. Rhynovia’s military at the turn of the millennia suffered greatly at the hands of aging and obsolescence, some observes skeptical of its ability to complete the mission-set the Worker’s Republic had laid out for it. Largely due to economic troubles under the communist regime, the modernization woes of the country’s military were quickly addressed under the new democratic government with their proposed increase in spending to address issues across all branches. As the monarchy came to power in 2011 it swiftly set out in both reorganization and procurement to reform the military into an effective fighting force.

As we have seen with the development and selection of the Sukhoi Su-35 to replace it’s obsolete counterpart the Sukhoi Su-27, Rhynovian officials place a high degree of practicality on the forefront of their requirements for procurement of these fighters. Part of the reason stated for the selection of the Royal Air Yard to produce the Su-35 was the degree of commonality it exhibited with both its predecessor and other aircraft in the FEF and RTA’s inventory. Some of those same statements were released today, as cost effectiveness is vital to commanders who are seeing harsh restrictions placed on their budgets as the modernization pains of all branches and areas trying to come into the 21st century at once are realized.

There is also a great deal of emphasis placed on the need for a 4++”+” generation fighter, an almost quirky way of the Rhynovian military command saying they want something beyond the newer fourth generation fighters but not quite at the cost of a fifth generation fighter. Stealth is talked about in the requirements documents but not at the level that it is a end-all-be-all of the Rhynovian commanders for the contract to be won.

As usual the requirement exists for the fighter to be able to take off from shorter runways, even dirt runways throughout the Rhynovian country side. Largely a requirement of the RTA, which routinely practices and trains its crews to operate out of rural bases in defense of aggression by a much larger force, some of the larger multi-roles may suffer at the hand of this requirement, but whether commanders are willing to let this slide is yet to be seen.

One of the biggest requirements outlined in these documents is the need for the MiG-29 replacement to be able to network with the rest of the Rhynovian arsenal. This is a relativity new ambition of the Rhynovian military as countries begin to make use of modern communications technologies to have fighters, ships, land forces, and even munitions talk to each other in the battlespace. One speculation is that through Rhynovia’s large use of SSGNs in the Royal Navy is that future aircraft in all services will be required to network with cruise missiles launched off of these SSGNs and guide them to their targets while effectively evading enemy fire.

Several contenders for this project come to mind, and one domestic, Royal Air Yards has already submitted the Mikoyan MiG-35, the spiritual successor of the MiG-29, as their bid to win the contract to produce Rhynovia’s newest multi-role. Whether Rhynovia will choose to domestically produce this fighter aircraft or not remains to be seen. There have been several upsets with domestic companies in this large modernization push, the most notable of which was the row over the procurement of the AT-802L Longsword from the Federation of Belfras over the M-68 Manuela from Manuela defense, a domestic favorite to win the contract. This demonstrated willingness to allow foreign competition to insert itself on what for decades has been an exclusively domestic market continues to leave the Rhynovian defense industry on edge. Until the full list of contenders is available it remains to be seen what direction Rhynovian officials will take the MiG-29 replacement.

RHYNOVIAN FIGHTER COMPETITION - THE FIRST ENTRIES CONFIRMED
High tech warplanes scheduled to go head to head to win lucrative contract

Less than a week after the Rhynovian military announced its competition to procure a 4.5-generation fighter bomber to replace its aging MiG-29 fleet, the first bids had already begun to arrive at its Ministry of Defence. It has been confirmed that at least three advanced designs - the UFC Tempest, the Rafale C+ and the Grifo-NG, are participating in the competition.

The three fighters share some essential characteristics. They are advanced 4.5-generation, medium-weight aircraft, utilising a combination of delta-wings and moving canards. They are potent at beyond-visual range with their combination of AESA radar and ramjet-powered air-to-air missiles, as well as in close combat with helmet-mounted displays and highly-maneuverable thermal-imaging heat-seekers. Aside from air defence and superiority, they are also capable in ground attack, interdiction, maritime strike and reconnaissance as true 'omni-role' aircraft.

Not only do they pack a punch, these aircraft are also survivable. Although not true 'stealth fighters', compared to legacy designs they do incorporate a significant amount of signature-reduction technology. All three fighters also feature advanced electronic warfare and countermeasure suites.

THE THOROUHBRED

The UFC Tempest is one of the three early entrants into the competition

The UFC Tempest is unique amongst the contestants in that it is not a national project, but the result of trans-national cooperation. The United Fighters Consortium includes amongst its members Arthurista, Belfras, the Eagleland, Fabria, the Latin Empire and Lion's Rock. Aside from the Tempest, its other well-known products include the F-29 Hurricane, a 5th-generation fighter, as well as the shadowy Firestorm, a rumoured unmanned hypersonic concept. Operated by the air forces of seven liberal democracies, it has been dubbed the "Right Arm of the Free World" by the popular press.

Of the three designs, the Tempest is the most capable in terms of 'raw' kinematics. In terms of thrust, acceleration, top speed and rate-of-climb, the Tempest's data is unmatched by the other two entrants. Although the Rafale may have a slim advantage in a low- to medium-altitude subsonic horizontal turning fight, the Tempest excels at high-speed, high-energy 'slash-and-burn' tactics which exploits its flight characteristics to their fullest extent. It is also unique in its incorporation of a tilted, rotating platform for its AESA radar (a 'Wide Field-of-View Repositioner'), increasing the angle at which it may perform its fire-control functions. The result is a fighter which is highly lethal in air-to-air combat at within- or beyond-visual range.

The Tempest, however, has one major disadvantage. With a flyaway cost of BFL 108 million per unit, it will likely be the most expensive entrant of the entire competition by some margin.

PUNCHING ABOVE ITS WEIGHT

The quirky Grifo-NG is the competition's dark horse

The Ghantish Grifo-NG is, to a significant extent, positioned at the other extreme from the Tempest. Unlike the other dual-engined entrants, it is a lightweight, single-engined aircraft of diminutive dimensions. It cannot fly the furthest or carry the heaviest payload. It kinematic capabilities are respectable compared to legacy aircraft, but are positively eclipsed by its fellow participants in the competition. Interestingly, owing to the close relationship between Ghant and some of the UFC's member states, the Grifo possesses certain technological compatibilities with the Tempest. For example, its AESA radar, the PS-05/A Mark 5, is a derivative of the Arthuristan Blue Vixen, whilst its BriteCloud expendable decoy/DRFM jammer is also utilised by the Tempest.

The Grifo's advantages are not 'high-profile' or frequently discussed on internet forums by armchair pseudo-experts. Nevertheless, they may make a decisive contribution towards a nation's overall airpower capabilities.

First of all, it is cheap. Per-unit flyaway cost is slightly less than half of that of the Tempest. As we all know, quantity is a significant quality of its own.

Secondly, the Grifo was developed for the Ghantish environment. It is extremely reliable and low-maintenance, intended to operate in a dispersed manner in an emergency, operating from primitive forward bases and flying from motorways. It has a turn-around time of less than ten-minutes. Within that time-window, a team of one technician and five sketchily-trained personnel can re-arm and re-fuel the aircraft, or perform basic inspections. Whilst high-end performance may sound impressive in press releases, when it comes to the crunch, sheer sortie-rates may win wars. An aggressor who underestimates the small Grifo may be making a serious mistake.

ACTIVE VANISHING

The Rafale features cutting-edge electronic warfare capabilities

The Rafale is positioned somewhat in the middle of its two rivals. It is a medium-weight, twin-engined aircraft, roughly the size of the Tempest. It does not possess the latter's high-end kinematics, nor is it as expensive, costing approximately 25% less. It is a very capable combat aircraft, and has done Vannois sterling service since its introduction in the early-2000's.

What makes the Rafale stand out is its electronic warfare suite. All three aircraft possess very high-end technological capabilities in this area. However, the Rafale's Spectra system may be the most advanced, although a direct comparison is nearly impossible for the layman, given the fact that most of the relevant details for all three aircraft are classified. Supposedly, the Spectra has made the furthest inroads into the use of 'active-cancellation' technology, which approaches survivability not through the utilisation of signature-reduction features, as 5th-generation designs aim for, but by sampling incoming radar signals and "feeding it back to the hostile emitter out of phase thus cancelling out the returning radar echo". As usual, precise details on the mechanics of the process are not available on the public domain. However, the potential availability of this technology may exert some influence over Rhynovia's decision in considering which of these designs to procure.

Doctor Arlote Mairane’s team announce coming of the Na-ion Battery

It is a secret for no one : there’s not enough Lithium for all of Oxidentale, let alone the world. The consequences are numerous : despite Mutuleses enterprises fabricating and engineering batteries and cars for all the continents, its electric cars production was limited to the Rezese Market, as the technologies developed by the Rezeses researchers in the 90s and 00s, that made rechargeable batteries a reality, were dependent on Lithium, a rare and expensive mineral, to work properly. As such, only the the Noble Republic could afford electric cars, while the rest of the world had to contend with what the Rezeses factories in the Mutul could produce : phones, computers, hardwares of all kind...

The Lithium at the hearth of this revolution had numerous advantages : efficient, light, and, for the Oxidentales countries, easy to obtain. Sante Reze is one of the biggest producers of Lithium, followed by Tsurushima and then the Mutul. The mountains ranges that separate east and western Oxidentale are rich in this element, which accelerated the economic boom surrounding the batteries. Which, with a strong “green” policy from the Great Houses, made the country relatively free from the Black Gold’s yoke.

But Lithium is becoming rarer and rarer, tampering the growth linked with the Oxidentale batteries. Rezeses and Mutuleses researchers have taken no rest in developing new models of batteries always more efficient, always cheaper, and their countries have put in place enormous recycling programs for old computers, phones, solar panels, car batteries… something that has been described as a “scramble for Gold and Lithium”. The Mutul even got as far as to buy other countries garbages to recycle them, in search of usable plastics, minerals and metals and, of course, of the precious Lithium.

Now that the prices of Lithium were high enough, other alternatives are becoming interesting for the industry. Even some that had been scrapped years ago for being inefficient compared to the Li-ion model.

Enter the Sodium : Once upon a time, the “Na-ion” battery was a viable competitor of the Li-ion being studied in Rezeses laboratories. But it’s poor results when compared to the latter led to its abandon. Now, it’s coming back with a revenge. Years of researches by scientifics from both the Noble Republic and the Divine Kingdom finally gave birth to a new Na-ion battery. Results are promising : it is as efficient as the Li-ion, vastly cheaper, and theoretically easier to produce. Professors Mairane and her team made what has been celebrated by the Industry as a “breakthrough”.

Some investors have already started to turn to Salt and Sodium, as a way to prepare for the inevitable rise. In fact, the announcement sent so much shockwaves that Lithium prices are already registering a slow down and, maybe, soon, will start to fall. Cohabitation of both Li-ion and Na-ion batteries are to be expected for the decade following the widespread adoption of both, even if there’s fear Li-ion models will just never be as competitive as they once were.


However, replacing the Lithium only highlight the new dependency of the Oxidentale Economical Model. While the rest of the world is still under the rule of the “Black Gold”, Oxidentales countries are slowly developing a need for another kind of Gold. The Blue Gold.

Cobalt is the necessary partner to the Lithium for a modern battery to work. And so far, scientists seems to have gave up on trying to replace it with less costly alternatives. By-product of the production of other raw materials, mostly Copper, Cobalt is slowly announcing itself as the new limiting factor in the battery and renewable energy industry. However, unlike Lithium, Cobalt is rare in Oxidentale. Investors are already predicting that in the years to come, maybe a decade or less, Mutuleses and Rezeses enterprises will have to expand in countries where important reserves of cobalt can be found. Which makes the future of Oxidentale’s Economical Expansion previsible :

Important reserves of Cobalt exist in Scipia, more than on any other continents. Ulysses, C.D., United States -ATLAS CEO Daniel Irons sparked controversy yesterday when during the course of a political campaign rally in Ulysses,C.D., he called for the strengthening of Ajax's democracies by removing so called ''rogue regimes'', by force if necessary.

The comments come more than a month after Irons announced his candidacy for the highest office in the land and in what has become effectively, a silent campaign.

Responding to a question regarding his foreign policy, Irons was quoted saying, '' My position is this, we aren't going stand idly by anymore. I plan to improve the United Republic's status in the region by strengthening our fellow democracies through the removal of rogue regimes, with military force if required.''

The billionaire has caused quite the uproar among foreign policy analysts, taking his statements to mean he is in favor of a more hawkish foreign policy than the current administration.

Senior fellow at the international affairs think tank, The Ulysses Institute of Foreign Affairs, Michael Fen speaking from his office in the Capital District had this to say about Irons' statement.

''Calling for a stricter dealings with some countries is 100% acceptable but calling for arbitrary regime change in an effort to improve the United Republic's status abroad is an outdated and frankly, dangerous ideology.''

The Irons campaign could not be reached for comment.

Tarsas to submit Me-550 for Rhynovian Fighter Competition

Drawing from its long history as one of the pioneers of the jet engine and the successful creator of the Me series of widely used jet fighters, Falcus Designs has stepped up to the plate to prepare its own entry for the Rhynovian fighter competition. Competing with Arthurista, Ghant, and Vannois as entrants, Tarsas has its own unique aircraft industry to bring to the table.

The particular submission will be the Me-550, a capable 4.5 generation delta wing aircraft. The design can serve in multiple roles with an advanced active electronically scanned array radar suite and a potent payload. It is unique in that is is the only aircraft currently being entered that utilizes an overpass intake. Advanced technology such as signature reduction equipment, electronic countermeasures, and the latest in pilot safety technology.

With many features developed as experience with the aircraft was gained, the Me-550 features a fully modular air frame. This allows the aircraft to be configured for any type of budget with the option to downgrade certain systems and reduce operations costs even more if desired. On the other hand, this also allows older air frames to continue to serve rather than necessitate replacement to accommodate newer technology.

To further increase the operability of older aircraft, Falcus continually releases software updates for older avonics systems allowing them to be brought at least on par with newer systems. This is an alternative to swapping out the modular avionics system as another cost reduction method offered. Full lifetime software updates come with each aircraft should the customer choose to go that route.

Sitting comfortably in between all the currently submitted contenders, the Me-550 has a few perks that set it apart from the other aircraft. Designed to rapidly operate from under-prepared and dilapidated airstrips in developing Scipian nations, the Me-550 can quickly advance and operate with armored forces with the ability to use airstrips as soon as they are captured no matter their condition.

Maintenance is quick and easy and can be done by a single technician and a crew of regular laborers to assist him. The turn around time to rearm and refuel an Me-550 is under twelve minutes. Despite this, the aircraft has advanced electronic warfare capability with new decoy jammers for all types of incoming threats.

The Me-550 is also capable of fulfilling any role its operators require with a system of hardpoint mounted pods for different roles. These pods can be swapped quickly onto the aircraft, allowing an aircraft that just completed an interception sortie to be sent off quickly on a reconnaissance sortie. These features are combined in a formidable and capable platform with the ability to have a long service life.

Other major innovations include pilot vital signs monitoring, optional RCS reduction paint, and a specific variant configured for use aboard aircraft carriers in naval service. What there is, however, indicate that it is a consultancy with a selective and elite clientale of multinational companies and wealthy indivudals. It specialises in providing analysis on ‘geopolitical, transitional security and other emerging risks’.

Unsubstantiated rumours link it with Grey Fox Funds, a ‘Black Box’ hedge fund founded, but no longer run by, current National Liberal leader Mr Sidney Carringdon, which pioneered the use of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and distributed computing in their decision-making process, although no concrete links had ever emerged. They’ve been well taught in the value of discretion, even extroverted Elbareth, which I found especially impressive.”

Ix Muwaan Kay, from Tenekab, after a long fight against the 15 others Lady of Beauties, was officially enthroned Ix Mutul for the 13.0.5 Tun. She takes over Ix Uaj Kankin.

This year, the Lady of Beauty Contest was held in Kuchamat, and the 13 judges were presided by His Holiness the Aj-K’inoom Ak Masal Tun, which was his 6th time presiding over the sacred competition.

The 3-hours long event was broadcasted on KATV, the second national television chain of the Mutul, and watch by 4 millions people, plus the 100,000 spectators who came to Kuchkamat’s Ix Chak K’uh Nah (Holy House of the Red Lady) and the nearby Ix Chak Court.

The ladies from all around the Mutul, one for each Yajawkab, were judged upon their natural beauty, quality of their makeup - including their piercings and tattoos- singing voice, dances, devotion, knowledge of the holy mutuleses texts, and interviews.

The decisive moment of the evening came when the Jury, having narrowed down the field to 3 contestants the Ladies of Tenekab, Maamwitzob, and Chiquimal. Each of the 13 judges asked one question, and the contestants were judged on their answers. The questions tested their opinions on history, theology, and other fields.

The competition was concluded with offerings to Ix Chak, the goddess to which the pageant is dedicated to, and the 13 judges announced their decision. Ix Muwaan Kay won, and was decorated with the golden diadem and jade scepter of the Ixob Mutul, before leading the religious mass, at the end of which the broadcasting ended.

Her Holiness Ix Mutul Muuwan Kay will now reside for the next month at the Ix Chak K’uhnaj, before starting a year-long pilgrimage through the Mutul, A collection of statuettes at her image has already been ordered by the Temple, and soon pictures and small autels dedicated to her will appear all around the Divine Kingdom, as she will be soon become a vessel for Ix Chak’s spirit once the proper ceremonies will be completed.

Aigios Defence becomes newest entrant into Rhynovian competition
The Aigios 'Shrike' becomes fifth fighter entrant

THESSALONA — Earlier this month the Rhynovian military announced a competition to procure a 4.5-generation fighter to replace it's ageing MiG-29. The competition, which has quickly gained traction as a highly visible fighter competition by viewers across the world, has seen the entries of powerful airframes already.

Confirmed entries to the competition so far have been the United Fighters Consortium (UFC)'s Tempest, a fighter that currently serves as the primary fighter/bomber of the Belfrasian Air Force and has found popularity among the air forces of allied nations such as Arthurista, Eagleland, Fabria, the Latin Empire, and more. Other entrants include Ghantish Grifo-NG, a lightweight single-engined aircraft certainly capable of hitting above it's weight, and the Rafale. The previous newest entrant was the Tarsan Me-550, a delta-wing 4.5-generation aircraft with a certainly unique appearance to it.

Aigios Defence, renowned in the Federation and abroad for producing military and civilian aircraft, have entered the competition with their current mainstay airframe, the Shrike. The aircraft was developed from the long-serving Ifrit which had entered service in 1977 and operated alongside the Superhawk for the majority of those years. The 'Shrike' entered service in 2000 as an updated version of the Ifrit, sporting a user-friendly cockpit setup with glassware architecture and a significantly increased thrust-to-weight ratio (TWR) with Augment GTO-440 turbofans.

The Shrike was developed initially as a platform for the Federation Navy, and subsequently fills out a number of roles with little modification needed. Three primary variants of the Shrike exist - A single-seater attack version that trades out a second seat for fuel, a two-seater used as either a coordination aircraft or for dedicated bomber roles, and an electronic attack variant built off of the two-seater.

An agile combatant, the Shrike quickly became known for it's high speed, quick turns, and excellent load-out abilities which include two permanent pylons on the wingtips for anti-air missiles for self-defence regardless of mission role. The agility of the aircraft is given by the u sage of leading-edge extensions and thrust-vectoring nozzles, allowing the aircraft to change it's direction of thrust and shape of the wings leading edges for a quick adjustment of it's aerodynamic properties at a moments notice.

According to Aigios Defence, the aircraft is capable of fitting over 8,000 kg of ordnance from eleven hardpoints under it's wings. The fighter variants utilise a 20mm rotary cannon while the electronic warfare variant removes the cannon for avionics room. A dedicated design for operating aboard a confined aircraft carrier has also meant it was designed with ease-of-access avionics bus and engine compartments, allowing an expedited maintenance cycle without the risk of damaging the airframe. As previously mentioned, the Shrike also comes in an 'electronic attack' variant built off of the two-seater airframe. In a simulated attack against enemy ground installations, the Shrikes are accompanied by an electronic attack variant, an E.3, which conducts jamming and deception duties to fool enemy air defences so that an attack may take place with reduced risk of retaliatory attack.

The entry, which has happened shortly after the Federation Guard announced plans to replace it's aging interceptor fleet with Shrikes of it's own, appears to have happened right at the end of the competition. Despite this, company CEO Georgio Aigios appears confident in the fighter's abilities during the competition. When asked for a comment, he stated that the aircraft's "unique properties, proven reliability, and popularity in the international market" spoke for itself.

Sacred Fabria, Ecclesiastical State — His Holiness Pope Julius IV has successfully gained the support of the Supreme Consistory to implement his desired constitutional reforms. Among those reforms agreed is the introduction of the Edictum Sacrae, a secular and temporal decree that requires immediate implementation by the Magisterium and citizenry of the Ecclesiastical State. Other reforms accepted including enhanced powers for the Administrative Courts, which aims to allow easier settlements over administrative legal disputes.

After almost two-weeks of debate and deliberation, the Holy Father secured the total backing of the Supreme Consistory. Sources inside the Magisterium explained that there was some opposition to the Holy Father’s reforms aimed at fostering a greater role for private business in charitable works. Some were reportedly concerned that such moves would undermine business confidence or dissuade them from expanding positions within the Ecclesiastical State.

Speaking to reporters following the successful vote, the Holy Father’s spokesman, Fr. Mario Farfani said, “today the Magisterium and Holy Mother Church succeeded in establishing the groundwork for dramatic and positive reforms to the governance of our nation under God. Through these reforms the means for citizens to appeal administrative issues or decisions will be smoothed and improved, his Holinss will now have the power to appoint and dismiss local-level politicians and mayors under certain circumstances, there will be a new constitutional commitment to drawing big business into helping the poorest, dispossessed and vulnerable in society and finally, the Holy Father will be granted the power of Edictum Sacrae, a temporal decree that requires immediate implementation by all.”

“By altering our constitution in this way, we will jointly re-augment the Magisterium toward more efficient, caring and just governance, under the leadership and guidance of our most beloved and blessed Holy Father and sovereign” he said.

The ‘Scriptores Rerum Gestarum’, the Magisterium’s official gazette listed the reforms in its online publication, others included was the introduction of the Good Deeds Celebration, in which citizens will be charged by the Church to donate food, clothes and shoes to the Sisters of the Holy Mother, the country’s largest poor-assistance charity. This was take place every May at the local parish churches and donations are to be documented to observe citizens’ charity.

The SRG also published the announcement of a future debate on visa restrictions for Alban and Cathar “Christians”, the SRG wrote, “as the territory of the Church, as the blessed land of the Rock upon which our Church is built, it is vital that pernicious and nefarious dogmas outside of the Church’s salvation are limited in their presence. The Magisterium is committed to debate about the merits of limiting their entry” it said.

Despite the meeting of the Supreme Consistory being mostly focused on temporal matters, several key members secured the Pope’s backing for lifting the ban on Priests outside the Ecclesiastical State from using the pulpit to discuss political matters. The SRG wrote, “the Magisterium with support of the Sacred Sovereign agreed to lift the ban instituted by his Holiness Pope Pius XVI, against priests and princes of the church discussing political matters from the pulpit. The faithful seek guidance and advice from the servants of Holy Mother Church, it is only right that this be extended to all matters of the mind and soul.”

The final decision taken by the Supreme Consistory was to officially ban all Ecclesiastical State citizens from travelling to Mutul, which will take immediate effect. This is part of the Holy Father’s commitment to showing the world is unwilling to ignore its continued practice of human sacrifice. He told seminarians in 2016, “the practice of human sacrifice is the gravest and darkest of stately sins, it is a vicious murder in pursuit of false beliefs, it is a stain of savagery and depravity upon mankind and one that cannot be ignored or justified.”

The Magisterium is in deep discussion with the Belisarian Community to confront the stain collectively.

His Holiness is expected to declare his first Edictum Sacrae in coming days, it will be done so from the balcony of Saint Peter’s Basilica. The SRG will announce the date in advance to enable the faithful and dutiful servants to amass to hear the Holy Father’s wish.

ASHKELON, YISRAEL — The western coastal city of Ashkelon was hit by a string of terror attacks this afternoon throughout the downtown business district, leaving 90 people dead or wounded, the Royal Yisraeli Security Service announced. There were at least three groups of terrorists, each initiating separate attacks to maximize casualties. One group struck the Hotel Goldman, a popular tourist site for foreign visitors, while a second group used a stolen truck to run over pedestrians on the well-trafficked thoroughfare of Bennett Street. A third cell of terrorists waited until after the first two attacks occurred and were being responded to, launching subsequent car bombs amid emergency personnel responding to both initial attacks. It is the deadliest terror attack of 2018 so far.

The Christian Defense League, a well-known pro-Sydalene domestic Christian terrorist group based in the Yarden Valley, has claimed responsibility in a video uploaded to major Yisraeli media outlets within the last hour.

Casualties Include High Numbers of Foreigners, Public Safety Personnel

The attack seemed planned to maximize the dead and dying for foreign visitors as well as government officers, a motive explicitly admitted to by the CDL in its video. "The Yisraelis occupation of the Yarden Valley must end now," stated a masked man wearing a bandana logoed with a large generic Christian cross who identified himself only as 'the Crusader Chris,' "[t]he nations of the world stand around aimlessly as Christians must live under foreign Jewish rule, rather than under a government dedicated to the Saving Grace of the Holy Church and our Savior. We will continue to target the enemy [Yisraelis] as well as foreigners until they stop visiting and 'vacation' in the occupying Jewish state. When the Yisraeli economy fails, they will be forced to leave the Valley and we the Christians of the Yarden will live in harmony with our fellow Christian brothers."

The death count is expected to rise, potentially hitting 110 persons within 72 hours, the Interior Ministry, which has nominal authority over the country's private hospitals, announced, citing the conditions of victims arriving at area hospitals and updated death counts.

Besides targeting vacationing foreign nationals and Yisraeli civilians, at least 38 dead or injured are emergency personnel, including first responders, police officers, and others. The Ashkelon Police Department has declined to respond to inquiries on how many of its officers were killed or injured.

Feinman: 'Justice Will Be Done'

Chief Inspector of the Royal Yisraeli Security Service, Moshe Feinman, held a press conference in Yerushalayim to update the public on the Royal Government's response.

"I have spoken with President Feldman and His Royal Majesty the King; let me reassure you, the Christian Defense League and other terrorist scum will be hunted down and justice will be done. The Security Service is working with its sister agencies, such as the Intelligence Service and Special Political Police, to find the perpetrators and show to the world that Yisrael remains strong in the face of adversity. As is self-evident, the Yarden Valley is sovereign Yisraeli land, sacred to our history and our people. Sydalon renounced its claim to the Valley in the 1973 Yarden Accords, and the continuing terrorism of these self-deluded radicals is a disgrace to G-d, to humanity, and to the civilized world."

This is the fourth attack by Christian terrorists this year, with an attack by the Pan-Sydalene Liberation Army (PSLA) on a police station in the border town of Yericho in early January being the first of the year. Yisrael was hit with 23 attacks in 2017.

Ayatollah al-Abadi was joined by several key clerics during his address

Jedallah, Marad — Senior cleric, Ayatollah Ressam al-Abadi has told citizens at a rally, “rejoice for the Yisraeli agents of evil die in their streets, at the hand of a crusader no less.” His comments come in the wake of a devastating assault upon the Yisraeli people which has left over 90 dead or injured. The esteemed Ayatollah was addressing 50,000 people in the southern city of Jedallah in celebration of the city’s victory over warlordism in 2002.

Ayatollah al-Abadi said, “every time a crusader strikes at the black heart of Yisrael and every time they slaughter crusaders, these become truly fortuitous events, gifted to us by the almighty. Rejoice for today, the unbelievers and infidels fight amongst themselves. It is our task to await the moment, the moment when our great vengeance can be exacted upon the Crusaders and Jews in a fashion unseen in this world.
“We rose above the puppet regime and crush it beneath our feet and we will do so to the Jews and Crusaders, we will drive them all into the sea, they have nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. We will restore the banners of the Imams and the Prophet, peace be upon him, to the cliffs of Sydalon and the straits of Bakhtar and restore Islam to these lands” he said.

The esteemed also told the crowd that time was running out for the puppet-regime of Talakh, “the foul king, the man who would deny this Muslim people their rightful place in the Islamic World is facing his judgement soon. I assure you people of Marad, the time of the Greater Awakening is coming and coming quickly. Very soon, Shi’a of Talakh will awaken to the truth and seek the governance of the Imam and with that, the foul king and his fouler family will fall into burning flames God willing.”

“The crusaders face a tumult of crises and horrors in their continent and with their gaze turned, we will rid our Islamic soil of their presence and with them gone, by God’s grace we will destroy the Yisraeli and Tarsan infestations. We will raise the banners of Ali and Hussein over the two edges of Scipia” he said to loud cheers.

Tensions with Talakh have grown in recent months as Tuareg bandits under orders from the Belisarian Community continue to raid border regions in dispute with pious and law-abiding Bedouin and Berber communities in Marad.

The celebration of Jedallah’s victory comes as further survivors of warlordism are brought to justice. Jedadh resorted to form its own militia during the Great Awakening to force out opportunist criminals and takfiri terrorists, last year, Supreme Custodian al-Mihdhar bestowed upon the city, the title of “Bastion of Islamic Resistance” in commemoration of its role in the success of the Great Awakening.

TALAKH CONDEMNS ASHKELON TERRORIST INCIDENT

In a press conference earlier today, the Foreign Ministry addressed recent events in the region which may affect the Emirate. Delivering the address on behalf of His Highness Prince Faysal, the Foreign Minister, Ms Lana Talhouni commented on the Ashkelon attack, as well as the recent Maradian threats.

Hostis sur Generis

In condemning the incident, the Emirate joins many members of the international community which, in the past 48 hours, had also made similar statements in condemnation of the attack and expressing solidarity with Yisrael, the latest being that made by Foreign Secretary Joan Grey of Arthurista, who is currently in Villeneuve attending a BC function.

“It is sad to witness another terrorist incident,” stated Ms Talhouni. “International law rightly considers the terrorist Hostis sur Generis – an enemy of all mankind, akin to the pirates of old. His crimes are, if anything much more heinous – he is not a rational pursue of plunder, a common criminal. Rather, he is a wild beast, one who murders innocents indiscriminately. It is the common duty of all civilised nations to bring the perpetrators of these incidents, as well as their enablers, to swift justice.”

“This latest crime is especially pernicious, given its perpetrators’ nominal status as people of the book. As their own scriptures states, ‘Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;’ In purporting to murder in the name of Issa, the CDL blasphemes against the Lord whom we all revere.”

“And in rejoicing in this incident, we also issue the strongest condemnation against the Maradian leadership, they who purport to speak in the name of the Islamic community. As the holy book states, ‘You shall not kill - God has made life sacred’. Perhaps it is time that these supposed clerics acquire an Islamic education.”

Border violation threats

“We also note in alarm that Marad is attempting to foment incidents on our common border. They say that our Emir’s loyal Tuareg subjects had raided across the border. I can assure the world at large that they have done no such thing. These are scurrilous accusations, with no basis in truth.”

“However, in response to their sabre-rattling and threats of aggression, the Border Force has been reinforced by contingents of unmanned aerial vehicles from the army, in order that they may monitor the border with greater efficacy. We hereby warn you, unequivocally, that we will do our utmost to defend the Emirate’s sovereignty against foreign aggressors, and we will resort to deadly force to do so if reason proves inadequate.”

Imam al-Mihdhar was addressing students in the capital today.

Jedr, Marad — Supreme Custodian al-Mihdhar has condemned the words of Talakh’s Foreign Minister saying, “who are you to say who needs an Islamic Education? You and your puppet masters are far beyond what constitutes Islamic, that your words are insulting even to the most modest of Muslim faithful.” He also denounced the Talakhi decision to increase military forces on the border saying, “now they reinforce their bandits and raiders, we will meet such a deployment with our own.”

The Imam was addressing students at a special Ramadan event, an estimated 2,000 were tightly packed into the Imam Hussein Reception Hall, all were recipients of an invitation which was issued to winners of a poetry competition launched by the Imam last year.

He swiftly spoke in defence of Ayatollah Ressam al-Abadi saying, “their [Talakhi] response to the words of esteemed Ayatollah Abadi is expected and utterly abhorrent. This woman [Talhouni] knows nothing of what she talks about, her defence of the Jewish state is equally abhorrent, it is that which further justifies the point that she knows nothing of an Islamic Education” he said.

“Who are you to say who needs an Islamic Education? You and your puppet masters are far beyond what constitutes Islamic, that your words are insulting even to the most modest Muslim faithful. I would suggest an Islamic Education for her, her foul Emir and his family but I fear that the holy and sacred words would be wasted on apostate ears” he said further, receiving loud cheers from the young audience.

The Supreme Custodian also warned his audience the danger of Talakhi lies, “they lie, already the same woman claimed that we are the aggressors, yet the images of burnt Bedouin camps in Marad saw otherwise, the stories of young boys and girls orphaned by Tuareg violence do not lie, our dead do not lie. She lies, she lies because her apostate monarch tells her to, because Arthurista, Latium and Yisrael tell her to. Know this and learn it, because lies and deceit are the key tools of those who would undermine our revolution.”

“Now Yisrael suffers for its dark conspiracies against Islam and the Maradian people, against you. They suffer the wrath of the good and just and will continue to do so until the final day” he said further.

“There is much negative behaviour and mentalities in the region, all embraced and defended by Tarsas, Yisrael and Arthurista. If our great Islamic State and our great Revolution are to succeed in growing and evolving, we will and must overcome the enemies created by those three opponents. Talakh can threaten and deploy its Tuareg terrorists if it wishes, they see nothing but unrelenting victory and fury in our Islamic Forces for Liberation and Resistance, they can do and sabre-rattle all they wish, cross our border again and see what happens” he said.

“When Yisrael bleeds rejoice, for they become distracted from their efforts to undermine our revolution, just the same you must rejoice when Tarsas and Sydalon bleeds for they too become distracted from destroying our Islamic Awakening and revolution” he told the students.

The Imam also told the students to be ready to aid all Maradians and Muslims, “as we proceed through Ramadan, let this period be also one of reflection in your behaviour toward your fellow Muslims and Maradians, think and act on how best you can help them. You are the future of the revolution and Islamic Marad, help the poorest and vulnerable, stand with them and respect your neighbours. Being good in your dedication to God is one thing, but your revolutionary duty is to be good to each other, remember that” he said.

Ur, Bahktar - Dictator Behrouz Bextiyar has recently expressed condolences to Yisrael and raised concern over terrorism in a recent address to media today.
This address comes as a terrorist attack in Yisrael, Ashkelon, killed or injured over 90 people in the downtown business district by the so-called Christian Defense League, by launching a multi-faceted terrorist attack, with reports suggesting that initially, Hotel Goldman, a tourist frequented area was attacked, while another group used a stolen truck to run over pedestrians in Bennett Street. Following this, the CDL terrorists would trigger car bombs as emergency responders' would arrive on the scenes. After an inquiry by the Embassy of Bahktar in Yisrael it has been revealed that no Bahktaric nationals have been injured or killed in the attack.

Initial news of the terrorist attack were met with condemnation by multiple Scipian states, such as Talakh, while other countries endorsed the terrorist attack, such as the pro-radical clerical state of Marad. Behrouz Bextiyar has since released an personal announcement on the terrorist attack in public, revealing that he is shocked that such inhuman attacks have been committed in Yisrael and has expressed sympathy and solidarity with Yisrael.

During the public announcement, Bextiyar told the press that he is, "shocked that such vile acts are committed by terrorists over the world," and expressed his relief that a terrorist attack of such magnitude has not occurred in the Bahktaric Workers' Republic, with the most violent terrorist attack being one that was committed in 1981 by the Tarsan National Army in Ur which yielded a death count of 49. The TNA is a terrorist group that claims it is a representative of the ethnic Tarsan minorities' struggle and calls for the, "respect of ethnic Tarsan human rights and dignity".

Bextiyar also offered condolences to Yisrael in his announcement and also called the CDL an "organization of inhumane people, rather, animals, that believe that violence should be used to further their political views," following up by saying, "anyone who refuses to accept the reality that the Yarden Valley is controlled by Yisrael should realize that the Yarden Accords in 1973 formalized this. I will never support violence against innocents."

Behrouz Bextiyar also commented on the recent events and diplomatic sabre-rattling between Marad and Talakh, saying that, "the Bahktaric Workers' Republic supports the territorial integrity and independence of every Scipian state and calls for peace and understanding between Scipian nations."

Prime Minister Jacques Sardou condemned the terrorist attack in the Yisraeli city of Ashkelon today after a weekly Prime Minister's Questions session against opposition leaders. The Prime Minister, who was elected to his position earlier this month after the shocking murder of his predecessor the Duke of Périnesse-Toucourt, has already taken a hard line against what he termed "dangerous extremism" in a speech to parliament last week; he echoed these words in a statement to the press.

"Terrorism, for any reason, is disgusting ... [To] be committing such acts in the name of God is unforgivable," the PM, who was surrounded by reporters as he left the Palais du Étrimont, said. "The people of Vannois are a god-fearing people, to be sure, but nobody in their right mind would endorse these barbarians attacking innocent civilians ... The [Vannoisian] Empire is willing to support any efforts by Yisraeli government forces to track down the perpetrators of these attacks, and bring them to justice."

Sardou's words, however, were not echoed by his coalition-mates. The far-right National Front, who joined Sardou's Union for a Popular Movement after the elections to form a majority government, have made no official comment on the attacks. Led by former missionary and avowed Fabrian Catholic MP Mathieu Rodier (FN - Cerclemont 2), the party has been against traditionally warm relations between Vannois and Yisrael; indeed, Rodier himself spent upwards of half a decade in Sydalon protesting against the Yisraeli state as a youth, and has made inflammatory statements about the nation in the past. While opposition leaders such as Marlène Astier (VdA - Daucourt 1) and Joseph Lemaire (VdA - Belzieu 1) have stringently condemned the acts in recent days, and called for explicit Vannoisian assistance to Yisrael and Sydalon to root out the perpetrators, reports from Rodier's camp indicate disinterest in the topic.

"The National Front are a xenophobic, anti-Jew, anti-Scipian party," says political scientist and IU-Hazebrouck professor Yves Trentier. "[Sardou] and the UMP knew what they were getting in to when they sacrificed dignity in favor of power, and they should know that Rodier and his people are not going to support them if they want to engage positively with Yisrael."

Much remains to be seen of how the government of Jacques Sardou will act on this issue, but for now it seems that the traditionally centre-right Prime Minister will continue historical Vannoisian support of nations assaulted by terrorism.

His Holiness gave a special homily to large crowds in Saint Peter's Square

Sacred Fabria, Ecclesiastical State — His Holiness Pope Julius IV has condemned the terrorist attack in Yisrael in a speech at Saint Peter’s. Telling the large crowd, “never should man become normalised or accustomed to such violence or loss of life. All of Christendom prays for the families and friends of those harmed or killed in this dastardly attack on the people of Yisrael.” He used his speech to call for negotiations over the Yarden Valley saying, “this attack gives further impetus for discussion, violence can only be beaten through discussion.”

Addressing a crowd of over 60,000 people in what was billed to be an address of compassion and assisting the poor, the Holy Father opted to instead address the situation in Northern Scipia.

“We all lament the loss of life seen in Yisrael. Such violent taking of life is never acceptable or comfortable or the faithful or any man or woman. Violence of this kind only further fractures the boundaries of human compassion, unity and fraternal love. We must always oppose this kind of violence, especially against the innocent. What role do the women shopping on those streets have in the dispute between Yisrael and blessed Sydalon?” He said.

“Scipia is forever a tinderbox of competing interests, self-interests mostly. Scipia is subject to the falsehoods of some, who claim divine ownership to land and valleys and through this comes the natural retaliation by those who’s freedoms and livelihoods are threatened. This horrific attack on innocents, those detached from this falsehood is a retaliation of that” he said.

His Holiness has been a critic of both Sydalon and Yisrael’s refusal to accept that the Yarden Valley issue is a significant obstacle to lasting peace. Last year he told the Sydalene government in a special visit, “you must recognise that faithful Catholics are suffering a great deal in a country that does not want them on the land they prospered from for centuries. No peace will come to the violence if you go along with this charade of ignoring it.”

He told the faithful in Saint Peter’s Square, “peace in the Yarden Valley is impossible as long as its issues are ignored or rejected by Yisrael. The longer the issue is kept forbidden and kept hidden, the more of the recent will happen. Negotiation is key, negotiation is the way forward toward peace. When one side views matters as maximalist, or black and white, good and evil, there is no chance for peace.”

After addressing the crowd, the Holy Father led the crowd in prayers for the innocent families devastated by the attack, that has left up to 90 people dead or injured.

Candles and prayer cards have been left outside the Yisraeli embassy in Fabria, while parishes across Christendom have been asked by the Magisterium to hold prayers for the dead and injured innocent civilians on Sunday.

The Foreign Ministry has lodged an official travel warning for Yisrael, warning citizens of the Ecclesiastical State to “be aware of the security threat and danger”, while Cardinal Secretary of External Affairs, Emiliano Vasari has warned that, “citizens need to be very, very sure of travelling to Yisrael. There is no guarantee that a follow up attack will not take place, be sure and confident in travels.”

Cardinal Vasari, while a critic of the 1973 Yarden Accords, did say that violence against Yisraeli civilians would undermine it.

“The recent incident does undermine and endanger the Accords, while I disapprove of its utter rejection of the interests of all Christians in the Valley, especially those who take extreme measures to fight for their interests and rights, of which I disapprove, these incidents do and will undermine the Accords. Such a situation then in turn endangers the peace between Yisrael and Sydalon, the Magisterium, Holy Mother Church does not wish to see this, Sydalon requires stability” he told reporters following the homily.

YERUSHALAYIM, YISRAEL — In the wake of the deadliest terror act inside Yisrael this year, Foreign Minister Yitzchok Katz in a press conference Thursday thanked the litany of condemnations of terrorism and support for the Jewish kingdom from across the world.

He said, "On behalf of His Excellency President Feldman and His Royal Majesty, I offer Yisrael's heart-felt gratitude and appreciation to all civilized nations who extended condemnations of this evil and despicable terrorist attack three days ago in Ashkelon and signaled their support and solidarity with the Jewish people in standing up and fighting this scourge upon humanity," naming numerous countries including Arthurista, Tarsas, Sydalon, Vannois, the BWR, and Talakh. He added, raising a hand in an allusion to the Kohenic blessing ritual, "May [G-d] bless, safeguard, and ensure prosperity for all these righteous lands."

The Yisraeli foreign minister, known for his hawkish views, devout religiosity, and highly-placed influence inside the administration from being a close confidant of President Feldman, asserted when asked about the manhunt for the surviving terrorist cells that "[a]ll I can say about the perpetrators of this and other immoral, illegal acts against our nation - we will find them, and they will be brought to justice. Hashem [G-d] does not delay true justice. Our security forces are already on the hunt for these animals, and we expect results soon."

Katz continued that "rest assured, all the bodies and possessions of those foreign victims have or are being quickly returned to their countries of residence with dignity so that their loved ones and families may properly grieve."

Katz: Maradi Leaders al-Abadi, al-Mihdhar "Uncivilized Predators," Their Rhetoric "Grotesque" And "Disgrace To G-d"

When asked about remarks made by several leaders in the militant pariah state of Marad, Katz slammed both Supreme Custodian al Mihdhar and senior Maradi cleric al-Abadi in disgust as "uncivilized predators," saying that "these men are vile and evil, and disgrace themselves and our Almighty G-d by veiling themselves falsely as pious men of the G-d of Avrohom [Abraham], yet they call for the destruction of G-d's chosen people on this beautiful Earth...they call for the obliteration of all free, independent states across Scipia from Sydalon to Bahktar so that they may raise their flag and enforce their particularly violent and brutal rule over all of the Great Scipian Plain. They are power-hungry, hypocritical fools, no more, no less."

"Their rejoicing in the blood of innocents is grotesque. Yisrael stands in firm opposition to the illegal, evil regime in Marad, and their time on this Earth to threaten the whole of humanity has begun its countdown to their downfall. We remain vigilant against their insidious influence, and stand ready at a moment's notice to act in concert with our allies and other nations of good character to defeat this threat when it makes the foolish choice to make good on their expansionist threats."

Fabrian Pope's Yarden Revisionism "Destabilizing To Regional Peace," Warns FM

Katz thanked the Fabrian Pope for his "condemnation of terror," but warned that Pope Julius IV's remarks did not "extend to their appropriate end. Terror against civilians and the state reside in are both evil and inhuman. While the Kingdom of Yisrael appreciates the Pope's beautiful language on the tragedy and degeneracy of terrorism, the absence of his condemnation of terror against Yisrael itself is...disappointing."

"The Royal Government is well aware of the Pope and his government's Yarden revisionism. However, the 1973 Yarden Accords aligned and settled Sydalene-Yisraeli relations, including the sovereignty of the Yarden River Valley, which both countries recognize as Yisraeli, as part of Eretz Yisrael [Land of Yisrael], the Jewish homeland given by G-d to his beloved people. The Pope, his foreign minister Cardinal Vasari, and other revisionists are interfering in the bilateral affairs of Sydalon and Yisrael. Both our governments, after 60 years of conflict and devastating war, made genuine and sincere peace and the Accords have safeguarded that spirit for harmony since '73. The Pope would do well to respect the wishes of both our governments and not seek to give voice to a few thousand fringe extremists who resort to terrorism because their views are out of line in both Sydalene and Yisraeli societies. Such views destabilize our hard-fought regional peace."

What is Yarden Revisionism?

Yarden Revisionism, referred to by academics as the "Yarden revisionist movements," refers to opponents of the 1973 Yarden Accords, which established permanent peace between Sydalon and Yisrael dating from their cold war which emerged in the 1910s and was fought through three conflicts - the Second, Third, and Fourth West Scipian Wars. After the Fourth War ended in the late 1960s, a peace process was pursued by both powers until the treaty was signed in 1973.

The Accords ended the cold war, normalized diplomatic and trade ties, ended the forced conversion of Sydalene Jews, exchanged willing populations of Jews and Christians, respectfully, and settled the issue of the Yarden River Valley. The Valley, a strip of fertile farmland alongside the south bank of the Yarden River which forms much of the northern border between both kingdoms, had been in Yisraeli hands since the founding of the kingdom in the end of the First West Scipian War in 1715. In the Era of Great Nationalism, pan-nationalists in Sydalon termed themselves 'Pan-Sydalenists' and asserted an ancient claim on the region. In the 1940s, Sydalene troops invaded and occupied the area until their ouster in the Third War. Jewish pan-nationalists asserted counter-claims dating back to the High Middle Ages-era 'Greater Yisraeli Governorate' realm, which encompassed both modern-day Yisrael and Sydalon.

After the Accords were signed, radical extremists on both sides - Yisraeli, Sydalene, Jewish, Christian - dug in and proclaimed the Accords' immiment death throughout the 1970s, 80s, and 90s. Such views were often found in both countries' military-intelligence apparatuses, more hardline religious leaders, and far-right ultranationalists. In the broader Catholic world, Yarden Revisionism found some support in Fabria, Vannois, Lihnidos, and elsewhere among ultranationalist and religious far right forces. Since the late 1990s, Yarden Revisionism has gone from a minor to a largely-fringe political phenomenon.

Since Pope Julius IV's ascension upon the Fabrian throne, the Ecclesiastical State's leadership has continued to express such sentiments, much to the consternation of Yisrael and Sydalon, whose governments remain committed to the Accords.

Foreign Minister Katz demurred when asked by a Vannoisien media outlet to comment on the silence from Prime Minister Jacques Sardou's coalition partner Mathieu Rodier, a former missionary and staunch Fabrian Catholic with views unfriendly to Yisrael, on the Vannoisian PM's vows of aid to Yisrael and condemnation of terrorism, saying, "I won't comment on internal [Vannoisian] politics."

However, the Vannoisian major newspaper Le Citoyen reported this morning that it received a leaked dossier on Rodier compiled by the Royal Yisraeli Intelligence Service. The RYIS report outlines MP Rodier's youthful stay in Sydalon, detailing he was surveilled by Yisraeli intelligence because he associated with individuals in pro-Sydalene terrorist groups such as the Free Yarden Valley Catholic Front. The Intelligence Service noted that he fled Sydalon in January 1983 after RYIS operatives attempted to 'procure' him for questioning on suspicions that he played a role in the the Yericho bus bombing of the same month that killed 31 people and injured dozens of others.

A spokesman for the RYIS declined to comment for this story.

Sydalene Leaders Condemn Violence by Fundamentalist Group

Toron, Sydalon: During her two-week countryside tour of the realm, Her Majesty The Queen, made a rare departure from her schedule to address the press following the terrorist attack in Ashkelon. Though nominally taking a back seat in governance since the joint May 11 raid against revolutionaries illegally occupying the capital and other locations, she briefly addressed reporters. The Queen first asked for a moment of silence for the fallen, followed by her fiance, Raimund, Hereditary Lord of Hayan leading all in prayer. “These cowardly, radical fundamentalists have no place in civilized society,” Her Majesty began, “The unnecessary bloodshed of innocents in Ashkelon does nothing but put larger divides or obstacles in this stable peace.” The Queen made few mentions of specific details, though has been briefed on the matter. In her closing remarks, she added, “These senseless killings only serve to drive the perpetrators further from God.”

In the city of Sydalon, acting Chancellor Fernande Mifsud echoed The Queen’s remarks, declaring that the “killings must stop.” Mifsud, whom was appointed to serve as the caretaker head of government until democracy-protecting constitutional amendments could be drafted, has announced that upwards of 19 Sydalene citizens were killed in attack, whose bodies will be promptly returned to Sydalon for a proper burial. During the Chancellor’s impromptu press conference, Mifsud was pressed on the Papal statement of an impossible peace in the Yarden Valley, the Chancellor replied with, “Her Majesty’s government wholeheartedly supports the Yarden Accords that have achieved a peace many thought nigh impossible over 50 years ago during the reign of Queen Dido IV. It is only through that negotiation, that our parents, grandparents, or great-grandparents won peace. And it is our duty to uphold that peace for the sake of our children, and grandchildren.” Mifsid also denounced the Christian Defense League, calling it “thoroughly un-Christian to murder innocent men, women, and children.”

Joining in Her Majesty’s and her Government’s response was Belad Abdeshmun, Patriarch of Sydalon, and Primate of Sydalon, called on the CDL to “lay down their arms, and rencounce their violent ways to join in peace…no dispute, regardless of scale, can be meaningfully solved by needless violence.”

While government responses to the Ashkelon attack have been swift, and supportful of the situation, including the Accords, leader of the newly formed Patriots Movement, Elissa Muttuna, said that “it is only a matter of time until those [] in the Alliance for New Judea, obviously funded by the Yisraelis, attack our people in a far worse manner.” Royal Marshals officials near the Ashkelon-Zama Border Crossing have said that there is no evidence that they ANJ is preparing an attack, “but all should remain vigil.” In the past, Muttuna has remarked that events like this are “a necessary evil if the dream of the Iordanes [Yarden] returning” to Sydalene control was to be realized.” Chancellor Mifsud has said that he and The Queen not spoken about issuing a Royal order for censure against Ms. Muttuna, but that "Her Majesty has not ruled anything out." Patriots Movement claims to be the successor of the Free Sydalene Legion far-right political faction that led the country into the Second and Third West Scipian Wars. Preliminary National Assembly polling places the party at just above 1%.

Leader of the Iron Guard of Rietumimark Applauds Actions of ‘Heroes’

SLAPJZEMESGRADA, RIETUMIMARK - Today, Leader of the Iron Guard of Rietumimark Antons Bērzlaps told reporters belonging to the Rietumish People's Information Bureau that he “applauded” actions of “brave revolutionaries ” following a string of terror attacks on the 28th of May 28t throughout the downtown business district of the imperialist city of Ashkelon. At least 90 agents of Jewish bourgeoise neo-imperialists and neo-fascist dogs were righteously put down.

In several cities across Rietumimark, small crowds belonging to the Iron Guard assembled to celebrate the attack against Yisraeli banking elite and conspiracy to establish a new world order with the help of the Fakolan and Gentry conspiratorial elites. Supporters burnt copies of the Torah, Yisraeli flags and political figures. Others carried anti-Yisraeli signs and chants - many which had slogans such as ‘The Only Good Yisraeli is a Dead One,’ ‘Death to Yisraeli Globalism,’ and ‘Marad We Stand With You.’ The largest such rally occurred in the capital Slapjzemesgrada, where around 1,500 people turned up to an impromptu rally called by Antons Bērzlaps only hours after news broke of the events in Ashkelon.

“The attacks against the banking elites in Yisrael is a sign that their time of forgery of state, an artificial entity held together by Gentry thugs and the Axis of imperialism is coming to an end,” Antons gleefully said to supporters at the rally, for whom rapturously applauded his comments. “I applaud the actions of those heroes who sacrificed their lives to strike at the heart of Yisraeli globalist banking is a glorious day indeed to the resistance, to those who stand up to the Axis of imperialism...of Fakolan and Yisraeli globalist banking, and Gentry dreams of a new United Belisarian Empire. Let us celebrate every time the imperialists butcher each other while the resistance grows stronger. Soon...very soon, the Crusader and Yisraeli will be thrown into the oceans by our Muslims comrades and our armies meet in a liberated Latium.

“Today all the resistance forces will unite against the plagues of Gentry-backed imperialism, Crusader extremism, and the forces of Fakolan and Yisraeli globalist banking who attempt to spread and export their evils to our homelands.” he continued “For too long those who rejected their visions of a new world government, those who have not been perverted by radicalism and primitive views of the world, who seek to undermine our revolution and erode the sovereignty of the resistance states which our fathers and father’s fathers fought so hard to win have been forced on the defensive. Soon, very soon, the resistance will fight back and direct such a blow that they will never seek to undermine us again.”

When talking about Talakh’s condemnation of our revolutionary comrades in Marad, Antons said: “How can those who can nothing more than puppets to the Axis of imperialism and the Pope-puppets in the Belisarian Community claim in any capacity to condemn the holy Mardi?” he asked to a number of sneers. “The Talakh’s monarchy are short of proxies for the neo-imperialist pope, sucking him off for protection against the blessed forces of Marad. They rely on theocratic Catholic zealots thugs for protection. Their weak pathetic military is like the Dewedish, a facade which will be swept away when met by resistance forces.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has harshly lambasted the what it considers to be nothing short of a false flag operation by the Yisraeli to further push more violence and prosecution against those opposed to the fictional, puppet state of international banking and Gentry hegemonic dreams of world domination. “What most likely happened is that the Yisraeli filth setup a false flag operation to pursue their malevolent aims,” a spokesman for the Foreign Affairs Ministry said. “How can we even prove that such an ‘attack’ even happened? What, by believing paid actors and plain clothed secret police officers? There’s nothing to condemn here but the Yisraeli hitting themselves to some attention and distract from the fact that their weak regime is slowly collapsing under the weight of its greed.”

Such comments have been echoed by Paramount Leader Indulis Ozoliņš, who released a statement saying: “This so-called attack is yet another example of the inheritance hypocrisy of the imperialists. When we were struck by our own terrorists, terrorists in which the imperialist support, nothing was said. Knowing the Yisraeli dogs, they plan on taking advantage of this ‘attack’ to purge the resistances in Yisrael. Yet my Maradi comrades know Rietumimark stands with them 100%.”

Following the rallies organised by the Iron Guard, Antons Bērzlaps publicly called for supporters to “grab what weapons you can head to the frontier of the fight against the Axis of Imperialism, whether it be Deweden or Marad and cut down the imperialists where you fight him.” Later adding: “The great war of resistance against those who seek to impose a new world order is about to begin.”

Ashkelon Yisrael- a coordinated terror attack by the Christian Defense League rocked the streets of Ashkelon yesterday claiming 90 lives of both natives and foreign tourists. The Hotel Goldman, the premiere foreign hotel in the city was the primary target of the strike where a car bomb exploded that morning. Among those mourning throughout the world, the ripples of the sorrow and loss have been felt at home here in Rhynovia. The Zhidkov family was on a vacation to Ashkelon that day and was staying at the Hotel Goldman at the time of the attack.

The Chiga natives were on their way to visit some of the cities many holy sites when they were caught outside as the attack commenced. All five including their 3 children who were 14, 7, and 4 years old were killed instantly. Their family in Chiga were informed of their deaths by members of the Foreign Ministry just hours after the their bodies were identified by Yisraelian authorities. While they declined an interview with Rhynovia News Today, neighbors of the Zhidkovs expressed their shock and sadness upon hearing of their deaths.

"The children were so beautiful, Sanya (the 14 year old daughter) had the most beautiful voice."

“It is crazy to think they were simply on a family vacation, not knowing they wouldn’t return home to Rhynovia.”

“When I talked to them before they left, they seemed so excited, the children were excited to go.”

Memorial services are scheduled to be held over the weekend with the endorsement of the family, these will be closed to only family, neighbors, and friends of the family. Un-sponsored memorial services have cropped up across the nation as many morn this tragedy. Many calling on the Lord-Governor to take measures to protect Rhynovia's citizens abroad. So far this year there have been a total of 20 Rhynovian victims (including the Zhidkovs) of terrorism, and over half of these have been so abroad.

No official statement from the Lord Governor's office has been made, however the Foreign Ministry has announced as part of a partial press release that it's security service will be cooperating with Yisraelian authorities to ensure that current security measures around locations frequented by Rhynovian visitors are secured and that the perpetrators of this horrific act are brought to justice.

It is certain that one should visit the volatile region of northern Scipia, including Yisrael at their own risk. Over 85% of this region is marked with warnings for travelers by the Foreign Ministry due to ethnic and religious violence frequently felt there.

Grand Vizier Arrives in Jedr for State Visit

Jedr, Marad — Grand Vizier Momeni landed in Jedr this morning, beginning his three day stay in Marad that will see him in talks with his Maradi counterpart, Supreme Custodian Ibrahim Ali Al-Mihdhar. These talks are expected to cover a wide range of issues plaguing both The Exalted Salmanid State and Marad as well as the strengthening of economic and military ties between the two Scipian powers. Marad is the first stop in the Grand Vizier’s tour that will see him travel to Marad and Nahlia over the coming week to strengthen ties between them and The Exalted Salmanid State.

The meeting between the two dignitaries is the first major talk between The Exalted Salmanid State and Marad since the formation of the Association for Islamic Cooperation in 2015. A statement released by the Office of the Caliph once the Grand Vizier and Imam al-Mihdhar entered closed-room talks indicated that the agreements between Marad and The Exalted Salmanid State would include a 77.9 billion investment in the Maradi port of Sabarat, which will include “modernising facilities to expedite trade between Marad and The Exalted Salmanid State and increase Marad’s total shipping capacity,” a 76.2 billion investment in Maradi mining facilities, the construction of several oil refineries totaling 710.4 billion, and an interest free loan of 710 billion to be paid back by the Maradi Government by 2040. The agreements also include a 5-year training programme for Maradi state police and officers by the Combined Army, and basing rights for the Salmanid Fleet until 2025.

“Today marks the beginning of a new era in our cooperation and friendship with the United Islamic State,” Grand Vizier Momeni said to reporters during a joint press conference with the Maradi Supreme Custodian.

“Our commitment to further support our Islamic brethren, be they Orthodox, Shi’a, or Ibadi, in Marad is paramount to the continued stability and progress of Western Scipia. The formation of the Association for Islamic Cooperation was the first of several steps that lay a foundation for which lasting peace in the [Islamic World] can and will be found. These talks will build upon this foundation to safeguard a future where Western Scipia is free from the clutches of Belisarian imperialism.”

“Talakh, Yisrael, and Sydalon – all products of Belisarian imperialism – seek to impede themselves on [Scipia] and disrupt our peace. Talakh by testing Marad’s border defences with their Tuareg mercenaries, Sydalon by suppressing the true word of Allah and inviting the [Belisarian Community] to Scipia, and the Jews for siding with the godless masses in [Tarsas]. It is up to Muslims to lead by example and safeguard our continent.”

Marad and The Exalted Salmanid State have had a shaky relationship in the past. Tensions between the two nations reached their height in 1956 when the Hassanids were illegally removed from power by a communist coup. Relations normalised however in 2001 following the nation’s Islamic Revolution during the so-called Great Awakening.

During the press conference, the Grand Vizier was asked his opinion on the comments made by Talakhi Foreign Minister Lana Talhouni. The Foreign Minister had become near infamous overnight in the Muslim World over her claims that Imam Mihdhar needed to get an “Islamic Education.” Such blatant disrespect for an imam has seen Talhouni almost universally condemned by every Salmanid imam and mufti, with even the Grand Mufti of Čačansaray, Mostafa az Amin al Haddad, condemning Talhouni’s words.

“What [Talhouni] said was of the utmost disrespect, not just because it was the leader of a foreign country that she insulted, but she insulted Allah that he did not give the Shi’ite Maradi a true imam,” Momeni responded.

“It is important to remember that not all Talakhi share the takfiri’s opinion of Shaykh al-Mihdhar. They understand that to speak ill of an imam is to go against Allah. Direct your hate towards the Talakhi government and their puppet Emir, for they’re the ones that let this heretical thought fester.”
